I spent 4 nights with my Mom in Rome and was so happy we decided on Hotel La Residenza Rome. It was in a wonderful quiet clean neighborhood within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It was easy to get taxis to the tour sites and the hotel staff was wonderful to us. My Mom and I had two huge rooms on the first floor which made it easy for stepping out to their cute breakfast area and the connected restaurant which we ate at daily as it was so delicious. The bar in the restaurant also made it easy to get a bottle of wine and a glass to take to the room. They had many great choices. I would certainly go back.

From the moment you arrive, the staff are exceptionally helpful. At the front desk, Vincent provided us with a map of the city to help orient us, and a business card of the hotel which we used often with cabbies who couldn't understand our accent. The hotel is well appointed, elegant but not stuffy. The breakfast is a large spread with everything: eggs, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. We booked a king bed, and it was actually a real king, with luxury sheets, the pillows are a bit flat but they brought us extra pillows. The bathrooms are spotless and the shower has great water pressure. You have A/C that you can adjust with a remote from the comfort of your bed. The attached restaurant is an added bonus, run by Alessio, is a perfect retreat when you are tired from too much walking. The food is exceptional. I have already recommended this hotel to friends who have booked it for July. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is quaint and beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect for seeing the sites and centrally located on a quiet street. Within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum as well as cafes and restaurants. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful from before our arrival until we left. I would highly recommend!

The hotel in general was satisfactory. We stayed there for two nights and had a room on the front of the building above the restaurant. It was quite noisy each night as we could clearly hear people talking in or around the restaurant. The main entrance is there as well, could hear people coming and going. The girl on the front desk was very nice. The stay was okay.

The hotel has larger rooms and is clean. The front desk staff are professional but not particularly warm or welcoming. As a result, you may feel somewhat reluctant to ask for additional assistance or requests. They don't provide any drinking water for your stay.
I will not stay here again next time.

We stayed at La Residenza Hotel for 3 nights and it was excellent! Central location within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and close to the subway to take you quickly and easily to the Vatican, etc. Free breakfast included with lots of great options - delicious! Front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful (ie. provided a map of Rome, directions on how to get to points of interest easily and called reputable taxi companies that arrived within minutes). Our air conditioned room (107) was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a beautiful private balcony/terrace with a table and chairs. The bed was a VERY large king (2x double) and there’s a wardrobe, long sitting couch, tv, safe, and a small fridge on the wall to cool bottles of water or sodas. There is also a restaurant onsite with a very nice ambiance, but we did find the food is hit or miss and a bit pricey. Many excellent restaurants within a block of the hotel that are better quality Italian food and better prices. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. Overall, I would highly recommend La Residenza. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely small. clean, friendly hotel with helpful staff. Situated in a leafy, quiet part of Rome not far from many embassies. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Spanish Steps and a little longer takes you to the Trevi Fountain.

Breakfast is plentiful and beautifully laid out. The restaurant serves excellent food and is reasonably priced - for Rome!

Slight downside - the bar was closed by 9.00pm on Wednesday evening when we arrived so we couldn't get coffee or drinks at the hotel. This could have been a one off as the bar was open for the remaining 5 days of our stay.

My sister and I travelled to Rome together and stayed at La Residenza. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, good closets with drawers and excellent blackout windows. The bathroom was modern and very large with a good shower with rain head as well as spray. The sheets were of high quality and we had good pillows and nice wool blankets to add to the bed.
The lobby is a bit out-dated and could use some sprucing up. The breakfast room is very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious.
There is a restaurant in the hotel with a nice outdoor heated and covered space. We ate two dinners there. The food was good. The decor could be so much better.

The hotel is an excellent choice for travelers to Rome. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in the breakfast room and at front desk were very helpful. I would stay here again. The location is great near subway restaurants and shops.
My only caution is the restaurant service is very very slow. The food was excellent but took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive! It was good but just too slow.

The only downside was that when we arrived tired from a long journey and carrying several suitcases, the gentleman who helps move luggage to the reception area simply looked at us and walked away, and the reception staff were very cold.

Vincenzo the hotel manager made our stay truly special. He helped us plan our days with excellent advice on visiting all the wonderful sites in Rome. Yodit the evening manager was charming, helpful and always greeted us with a smile.
The breakfast experience was excellent and offered a great selection. Dorothy welcomed us to the dining room every morning with delicious cappuccinos.
The location is close to many attractions and shopping while offering a peaceful quiet environment.
We would definitely return when in Rome.

The hotel was very clean and classy from first impressions, to professional check in and finding our room filled with so much character, high ceilings, huge bed and all the extras. The room and bathroom were large, but the bedding didn’t match the apparent grandeur. The ceiling leaked during a rain storm and there was no maintenance on site, so they handed us towels and told us to call the front desk if it got worse :/ Not ideal. It was noisy on the street until at least midnight every night, even though it’s tucked away from the main streets. Included breakfast was average and unlabeled; at other hotels during our trip everything was labeled with allergen details, which was very helpful to my family.

Very nice boutique type hotel in a quieter part of Rome with easy access to all the sites. Walkable to just about everything you want to see. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The front desk manager which is a Stanley Tucci doppelgänger was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge.

Staying at La Residenza was a terrific experience. The room was very comfortable and clean and large.
The staff, starting with the front desk Concierge were very friendly and always glad to help. The daily breakfast consisted of many choices all of which were delicious. And a shoutout to Elizabeta who always had a smile.

Breakfast was excellent. Front Desk staff helped secure a taxi since we had to leave at 3am for an early flight out of FCO.

The location is not ideal, as it is about 12 mins walk to Trevi Fountain, more to Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. We didn't use the Metro so proximity to Barberini Station wasnt helpful. It is quieter in the neighborhood and again, fuether walk to shopping areas. I wished we booked somewhere closer.

They gave us an unexpectedly bigger room, but there's only 3 of us, so not a big deal.

Note that you have to turn-in your room key every time you leave the hotel. It is a heavy manual key, so you wouldn't want to carry it around or risk losing it anyway.

This hotel is located one block off Via Veneto - great location. There are high end shops and many restarants within easy walking distance. It is also very close to Borghese Park. We visited the Borghese Gallery and the Etruscan Museum - walked to both. It's also close to the Spanish steps.and a metro stop. This is a small boutique hotel, with nicely updated bathrooms. The breakfast buffet (included in the room price) was EXCELLENT. A big selection of breakfast food, served in a lovely breakfast room (white table cloths), and staffed by friendly, service-oriented people.

An honest review from an American on vacation:

The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient and fresh. I stayed for a week but I would have had a difficult time staying longer. The rooms are clean but we noticed mold on the ceiling. In addition there are real no perks other than the breakfast. No fridge unless you want to purchase items in it from the hotel. It advertises wifi that constantly cuts in and out. There did not seem to be a solution to fix it nor did it seem the staff know how to fix it.
The restaurant attached is nice but a little stuffy. It would benefit them greatly if they offered room service and maybe just forget the sit down portion entirely.

Overall I recommend the Hotel La Residenza mainly for its location to sites, the comfort and the staff. It would do them good to update a few things.

Lovely hotel in a great location, from the metro and local sights. Staff were very friendly, helpful & rooms were spotlessly clean. The fridge/mini bar was excellent for keeping drinks chilled, the best I’ve ever come across in a hotel room. Great breakfast each day served from 7am till 10:30am with lots of choice.
My only small complaint was there wasn’t tea/coffee facilities in the room. This is the only hotel I’ve ever stayed at without, which was slightly disappointing, as a cup of tea first thing in the morning would have been nice.

We liked the place , it was beautiful. the included breakfast was very good. The staff was efficient, the restaurant in the building was excellent.
My only complaints were, a very weak Internet connection, very difficult to stream anything. There was a tiny TV on the far wall that I could barely see. it wasn’t a smart TV and all I could watch were Italian stations.
There wasn’t a coffee maker or keurig in the room.

My fiancé stated this about our experience: One of the most beautiful cities in the world is unfortunately paired with the ugliness of Hotel La Residenza. Guest service is among the worst I have experienced. The room was barely acceptable, with two twin beds pushed together, mediocre bedding, stained floors, and the requirement to leave your key at the desk whenever you leave. The only positive was the bathroom.
From the start, staff behavior was unprofessional. We witnessed the receptionist yelling at the bellhop over luggage storage. During our stay, both the receptionist and restaurant manager shouted across the lobby about our Uber rather than speaking to us directly. After a long day of sightseeing, we received a pushy call from the front desk insisting on room cleaning despite us keeping the room tidy.
Later, when we asked for water, we were sent into the restaurant, where the manager claimed he was “extremely busy” while mixing two drinks in an empty space and then directed us to buy water elsewhere. A hotel that cannot provide water to its guests is unacceptable.
Aside from the kind maid and helpful bellhops, staff lacked professionalism and hospitality. Breakfast was poor, rooms were mediocre, and service was consistently unpleasant. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

We really felt at home. It was close to a lot of the attractions. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Really good breakfast. They were very helpful at the front desk with getting us taxis and giving recomendations. Would definitely stay here again.
