Maybe I am asking too much for a 2 star hotel but this hotel only had 2 good things, one being the premium location, and two being the streamlined yet insecure check in process, other then that, there were several significant flaws, it had no elevator, so if you have several prices of luggage, the staircase was very narrow, the towels were unclean and irritated my eyes. I’ve never had this problem anywhere else. The ceiling was also very low, making it hard to live and stay in the room, and it was extremely hard to use the washroom after a shower as there was no way to shower without making the whole bathroom wet and slippery.

lowk advertised as a hotel but its not and it’s musty AF, the room itself wasnt bad but def what u pay for, pros are that the shower water was hot and the room seemed clean but the building and area was awful (also super super uphill)

The location is excellent in regard to being close to the metro and excellent restaurants and coffee shops. The only negative point in the room is that the window shades do not keep the light out. As my room was facing the street, the street lights kept the room lit up all night.
Overall a good cost-value ratio for its location.

This place was the perfect little stay for my first trip to South Korea. It was close to everything you can think of in Myeong-dong. Everything was in walking distance, it made my trip so easy to navigate. I felt vey safe in the area. The owner was super nice and informative. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great for myeongdong, but in quiet location. Walk is fine, yes up a hill but no bother. Very modern, clean and good facilities. Metro access easy.
Not for party animals. All private rooms so not very sociable.
Breakfast is just toast and juice.
Staff friendly, but rarely around. Single washng machine rarely available.
WiFi very good.
Walls a bit thin for noise, but normal really.

The owner of the building was so friendly and the location was perfect, close to the subway and a great view of namsan tower. The owners wife was extremely helpful when we needed a taxi. She tried several different companies until she found one for us. Would highly recommend this place. It is such a cute room if you want the whole korean experience.

Nice little hilltop hostel

The room and facilities are clean, the bed is comfortable. The hostel provides simple toast and juice for breakfast. The only drawback is that it is located on a slope, but it is near Myeondong Station (2 minutes walk) and cable car station to Namsan Park Seoul Tower (5 minutes walk). The manager of the hostel is very friendly.

Good value and location

Great location. Tucked away in Myeongdong, it's in a quiet street but the main shopping street is just a 5 minute walk away. The cable car to reach Seoul Tower is also a 5 minute walk away, just going really uphill. Very close to Myeongdong Station, which made it easy to get to from Incheon airport via bus (also reachable via subway from Gimpo airport). The hotel is on a hill but it's not yet on the extreme end of the hill so carrying luggage is completely doable.

Room itself was okay--it was rather small and very simple but we chose it more for the location and value. The bathroom is one where the shower head is attached to the sink so there's not a \"real\" shower and takes some getting used to.

The free breakfast was self served bread, jam and butter, and orange juice. We bought our own breakfast at the many convenient stores nearby every morning instead. There is no fridge or kettle within the room, just a communal kitchen downstairs.

Cozy Stay in Myeongdong

This guest house was convenient and affordable. We appreciated the laundry facilities and the room was functional, though a bit small for two people with luggage. I would stay here again if I come back through Seoul. The only disappointment was the breakfast--it was just a loaf of white bread left on the kitchen counter.

Nice clean room, loved having a private bathroom. Disappointed in the breakfast options - one morning a few of the eggs available for cooking were rotten so we gave up on those, the next morning there were no breakfast items left for us at all due to a large group getting there first and eating them all! Also wish there had been more security (front door is never locked and no locked luggage storage option on your last day). But great location!

Very cosy & clean!!

The owner of the guesthouse was very friendly & the checkin process was easy. It's about a 7-8 mins walk from Myeongdong station Exit 3 :) Nearby the station had several eateries too! Simple breakfast was provided which was very very much appreciated by my friends and I. However, if you have very large luggages, i wouldn't recommend to stay here because there's no elevator in the guesthouse.

Guest House the Hill is a highly recommended property. The owner, Kidae was very accommodating and helpful with all our needs during our first time in Seoul. The comfort and location is the best part of the stay. Walking distance from Myeongdong, a shopping haven and accessible to subway station. We will definitely be back again!

THIS GUEST HOUSE IS CLOSE TO THE TRAIN STATION, AND A BUSY SHOPPING AREA.
KIDAE AND HIS EMPLOYER-JUNG WERE HELPFUL IN SUGGESTING PLACES TO VISIT, AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS.
WHEN I ENTERED THE PLACE, THE KITCHEN SINK WAS FULL OF DIRTY DISHES. WHEN ASKED, JUNG SAID THERE WAS A PARTY THE NIGHT BEFORE. SO I CHOSE TO BUY MY OWN MUG.
THE CULTURAL PRACTICE OF REMOVING SHOES ON ENTERING A HOME, MADE THE SMALL ENTRANCE UNTIDY, AND NOT PLEASING TO LOOK AT, WITH THE SHOES ON THE STAIRS.
THE PRACTICE OF USING SMALL BATH TOWELS, WAS SURPRISING. THEY DID PROVIDE US WITH AS MANY AS NEEDED.
A BATHROOM OPENS UP INTO THE KITCHEN, AND MOST OFTEN THE DOOR IS OPENED AND THE TOILET SEAT OPENED. PLEASE TELL HIM TO MAKE A POINT OF KEEPING IT CLOSED. PUT A SIGN ON IT.
OVERALL, IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY.

Really convenient location, close to subway and shops.
Ideal if you don't plan to spend much time in your room, as they are clean but very small.
There was a removable shower head fitted next to the bathroom sink, but no shower cubicle.
Avoid the room on the first floor next to the smoking terrace, you might be woken up by the noise or the smoke smell, and you will have to keep your window shut.
The free breakfast is toast, a boiled egg and fruit juice or coffee/tea. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own though.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke English well, but they are not around 24 hs.
The TV only played Korean language channels.
Overall, I would stay there again if I visited Seoul for a few days only.

시설이 사진보다 더 청결하고 좋았어요. 특히 화장실이 너무 깨끗해서 좋았어요. 위치도 굉장히 좋아서 몇일간 숙박하면서 불편함 없이 편하게 잘 있다갑니다. 무엇보다도 사장님께서 너무 친절하셨고 필요한 부분들을 적극적으로 도와주셔서 너무 만족했습니다.
Generally the room was way better than it looks on picture. The location was also 5min away from the station, the host was super supportive and nice. I've stayed in guest house alot in seoul and I would definitely stay here again. Wont regret it.

スタッフが日本人に対しても優しく対応してくれた。部屋は狭いがほとんど外で過ごしたのであまり関係なく、快適に過ごせた。床暖房も暖かく、ぐっすり眠れた。
ただ坂道が多いからキャリーを運ぶのが大変だった。

過去にもこの価格帯で個室を探していましたが、とても充分な内容でした。

良かった点は部屋の中がきれいだったこと、明洞駅から近い、シャンプー＋リンス＋ボディソープ完備、暖房がなくても部屋が暖かい、広くはない部屋だけど圧迫感を感じない部屋の作り(同じ価格帯の個室はもっと狭いところが多い)、あとはスタッフの方がとても親切で、沢山メールで質問をしたが常に返信が早く、親身に対応して下さりました..！

値段が安いため、ホテルと比べると勿論劣る部分はあるが、次からリピートしたいと思います！
価格をおさえたい方には非常におすすめです！

1人部屋に3泊4日しました。
帰る日しかスタッフの方にはお会いしませんでしたが、部屋は綺麗でしたし水圧もしっかりしていて寝るだけのお部屋なら十分でした。
ホテルまでが坂でスーツケースを持って登るのは少し大変でした。
朝から夜までたくさん遊んで寝るだけなら全く問題なく満足しました。

주인분이 잘 안계셔서 눈치볼 일은 없었으나 일단 방이 너무 추웠고 외풍때문에 자다 코가 시렸음. 화장실에 곰팡이 냄세가 났음. 주방이 있는 로비도 너무 추웠는데 온풍기 있다는 말을 안해주셔서 내가 그냥 리모컨 찾아서 틀었음. 조식은 식빵과 딸기잼, 버터, 감귤주스가 끝.. 간단한 티백과 커피믹스가 있음. 애들을 데리고 3박을 했었는데 세탁기를 사용할 수 있어서 좋았음. 언덕길이라 내려올땐 괜찮은데 올라갈때 약간 숨참

明洞駅から近く、とても便利でした。オーナーさんは親切で、英語で分かりやすく説明してくれました。

仲要住3 樓，行街都夠累，返到去仲要斜路＋行樓梯，一個字累

離明洞近，房間還ＯＫ

第一天入住時因有點迷路所以比較晚check-in,老闆等我們到很晚還熱心的介紹房間和幫我們拿行李到房間。
旅館在山坡上，爬坡會有一點辛苦，轉角有一間24H便利商店。
房間沒有想像中的小，同時開兩個行李箱還OK，不過拿完東西還是要把行李箱收進床下才有空間可以走動。
地板有暖氣，但是房間內的溫度還是偏低，前一兩天睡覺都被冷醒T.T

Einfaches Zimmer in guter Lagd

Beim ersten Mal ist das Gasthaus etwas schwer zu finden, aber nicht unmöglich. Mein Zimmer war schlicht aber ziemlich groß (verglichen mit meinen sonstigen Aufenthalten) mit modernem Badezimmer. Man hat freien Zugang zur Küche mit Instant kaffee und toast zum Frühstück, sowie einem Wasserspender. Ich habe selten Jemanden im Gasthaus gesehen, was für mich recht angenehm war, und die Betreiber waren super unkompliziert. Im Eingangsbereich war ein etwas unangenehmer Geruch, hat sich aber nicht ins Zimmer ausgebreitet.

交通方便，不論是機場巴士或是地鐵都大概腳程10分鐘之內，飯店附近餐廳選擇也很多也有炸雞店跟便利商店。
不過真的如名字一樣，飯店就位於坡上，第一天抵達帶行李箱會比較辛苦但回程下坡反而覺得省力
房間設施部份，冬天有地熱但不是每房單獨所以可能每個人溫度感受會有所不同，而導致太熱或太冷問題
這次住的房間浴室排水不太好，使用完後要等待有一陣水才會退

很舒適的小旅館

雙人房間空間剛剛好，可以容納2個打開的行李箱。
廁所水壓有點小,但還夠用。
房內有提供兩個衣架和掛衣服的地方，有電視wifi,兩個插座。
房間整潔，沒有異味或是昆蟲。
床也挺大的，睡著也挺舒服，就是被子薄，而且冷氣機口對準床上（不過可以輕微調較）冬天去可能會有點冷。
旅館附近有很多炸雞店，餐館，價錢都很便宜（有一家店5500韓幣就有一個冷麵加紫菜包飯，飲品也只是加1000，店員會講中文）。地點在明洞，去購物也很方便。就是旅館的位置真的在山坡上，走超久，拿著行李走真的很辛苦，第一天和最後一天會超累，但平常走就還可以接受。
旅館老闆英文很流利，溝通方便，服務態度非常好，幫我們搬行李上房，也很有禮貌。
早上有簡單早餐提供，果汁麵包之類，水也是隨意自己去盛，每天早上會洗衣服，可以用冰箱，餐具都是隨便用，只要之後洗淨就好。
整體而言都是物美價廉的小旅館，基本設施都很齊全，適合沒甚麼經費或是對住宿沒有很高要求的人。
