The only person nice and with excellent customer service is Sabrina always nice and smiling ready to helps us for any inconvenience in the room, the guy was so rude all the time. The room is very small with very bad odor, mold odor humid and when the neighbor open or flush the water it always comes into the room. No coffee maker in the room and the refrigerator is ridiculus no space for no more than 2 small bottles of water.

It is located in central Myeongdong. If you step out of the hotel, you are in the main area to go anywhere in Myeongdong. The room itself is small but most of things was great for a night. The hotel is not a standalone building and you need to go through other businesses. The entrance had some smoking smells but it was not from the hotel.

I like how the hotel is right on the shopping street and that it is only 2 mins walk from the subway station. The staff on the front desk was super helpful and they handed over the keys to me really easy. Check out was also easy. There was no breakfast because of covid so that was understandable. What I am not happy about is the cleanliness of the room. They did not change the linens at all, I can tell because it is not crisp when I ran my hands over it and there was hair underneath the covers. Check your linens before sleeping on them ppl! The headboard and side table were also dusty when I came in so that was a bummer. So overall, cleanliness needs improvement, but the location, price and amenities were good.

The affordability and location make this an ideal place if all you need is a clean, safe place to sleep, wash, and put your stuff. Staff was friendly, and the amenities were nice (Wi-Fi, a water station, microwave, etc.).
It's fine for one person; however, more than that may be a little much (at least for the room I was in). Also, though there was a small window, it didn't show anything, so if you like natural lighting you'll want to make sure you get a streetview room.
I don't know if this was for all rooms or just the one I stayed in, but the shower room door never closed completely, meaning water running out was a risk when showering. The pipe at the bottom of the sink also wasn't fully sealed, so water would drain out at the bottom. It's fine for Korean bathrooms since there's a drain in the floor, but it may be a little concerning for others if their toothpaste spittle and washed-off handsoap comes back at you.

It’s NOT a HOTEL!

Location is good. But the facility is horrible. Rooms so small and it was like a hostel instead, don’t know why it’s called “Hotel”. It’s all like a partition room, walls are as thin as a cardboard, can hear everything outside.

Totally not worth that price to stay. (Over USD120 per night in a hostel), DO NOT expect this is a hotel, not their hard ware, not their service, nothing is related to “HOTEL” except their room charges.

Housekeeping Problem

The hotel place is okey because near the shops in Myeongdong but the every time we ask to clean our room everyday, they are not changing the bed cover, pillow cover, quilt cover and also we think even the towel also. we stay for 5days there and even once they never changed it. I hope they fix it. Anyway is a good stay and the staff is good also. Just about the cleanliness.

The location was superb. Very near to myeongdong train station. And very near to express bus back to airport too, without any steps to climb, just pull your luggage for a 5 mins easy walk and wait for the bus to airport. Night street was alive daily, exactly at the door step of the hotel - cannot ask for anything nearer, excellent location!

I am pleased with the staff and services provided. The location of the property is right smack in Myeongdong and it is very convenient location to access the subway as well as food etc. Only problems i had was with the air conditioned, which sometimes turns off or temperature increases on its own. You cant control it on your own in the room. As well as my room was right opposite the reception, so noise in the morning wakes you up, I believe other rooms should be fine. Other than that, rather pleasing stay for the price.

The receptionist was really nice and helpful even at late hours of the night for initial check in. This place had a really disgusting setup for a shower (a setup which I'm familiar with) but even I would feel cleaner by not showering. It's grimey and you can see the filth in the shower floor caulkings and all over the sink and toilet. The whole place felt like it was not clean. The location here is superb though. Will not stay here again.

Location, Location, Location, this hotel is in a great location, step out into the famous Myeongdong shopping strip. Rooms are very small, but if you only want a place to sleep, then this is adequate. No daily room service unless you request it (which gives you a bit of privacy, in my opinion).

Excellent location. Within walking distance to Myeondong Exit 6 & 7. Lots of food variety & shopping within the hostel area.

Hotel staffs were very friendly & were happy to assist with any questions. Especially Eko. Thank you!

Room is quite large for a hostel. Breakfast service includes toast +butter/jam, hard boiled eggs, juice (tomato/orange) , milk. Coffee & tea can be dispensed at any time of day.

Plan to stay at this wonderful hostel again during my next trip to Korea.

I felt that it should not be classified as “hotel” with its current dilapidated condition. Not only that, the service provided is of sub-standard. Front office staff is shabbily dressed. Housekeeping is of sub-standard as well. We came back after a day of shopping and we realized to our dismay that the only housekeeping they done is the tucking in of the bedsheet. Strands of hair is still clearly visible. We decided to give them a second chance when we came back from Jeju. This time, the experience is even worse,towel provided is yellowish and there are even worms on the toilet floor! The only thing that is commendable is how the owner make use of the hotel geographical location to boost the price of the hotel when its service is actually comparable to a motel

Good for short stays (2-3 nights) if you're around just to shop. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Walls are thin so you can hear the other rooms. Overall, decent place for a 3 night stay (solo trip so it wasn't a big deal where the hotel was, as long as it was safe).

Hotel location was good and easy to get to subway and also airport bus. However i was beinf shocked twice by the sudden loud sound from the aircond and even got shocked when i was sleeping halfway. Other than that it was ok for a short stay but yea. I wonder is that aircond loud sound was necessary. It seems like it is sucking the water and draining awat the water.

Budget hotel with great location

This is one of the cheapest hotels located right in the myeongdong shopping street. As it is more of a budget hotel, don't expect much luxury and comfort or even top notch service. Hotel staff were pretty friendly and OK. Housekeeping does not involve changing of sheets, which we were fine with since I had read that in the reviews. The toilet is really tiny, the room is like a shoebox apartment size and the sound insulation is not fantastic but this is what you pay for. This place is great for someone who just needs a place to rest at night and shower. I find it value for money and will return again.

In the middle of all things great!!!

My experience was great here, I got to be in my favorite place in Korea, Myeongdong, and as it turned out, I got to meet a very friendly staff that helped me in all ways to make my stay the best yet!. In this area, they got the best, when it comes to shopping and eating, drinking, and what ever else is fun. I also like that it's less than 5 minutes from the subway station.

Great location for skin care shopping in Seoul

This hotel is suitable for ppl who just want to have a bed to sleep, a bathroom to shower and a room to put shopping goods. It is really convenient for shopping, food and public transportation nearby. Subway 2 minute walk and airport bus 3 minute walking distance only. What i love the most of this hotel is location, it is located above Myeongdong Line store and i can stopover to put my shopping goods inside room and go down again to continue my shopping. Hotel located at floor 6&7, Line Shop floor 1,2 &3, money changer located on the 1st floor too. Superb location.

Don't expect any good services from front liner as this is just guesthouse,they are ego and don't have international hotel service standard. Breakfast is limited, they only serve bread with butter, strawberry Jam, coffee and hard boil egg. So if you really need good pamper hotel services, this is not the right one.

Recommended for budget travellers

Hotel was just beside Line friends store in Myeongdong and it's only 3mins walk from metro exit 6. Left luggage at the hotel in the morning and the staff nicely offered to bring in the luggage once our room is ready. However, note that the common dining area seems to be only for breakfast. We came back requesting to have our dinner (take away from Lotte basement) at the table, and offered to clean it up (the staff just finished their meal). The staff seemed to be quite unwilling but still agreed. Also to note that you will need to inform the staff should you require housekeeping; and rooms are not sound-proof. Nonetheless, it was worth what we paid for.

Comfy guesthouse just below Myeongdong

I stayed at this guesthouse for five days. It was a pleasant and comfortable stay with plenty of amenities available. The hotel is located smack bang in the middle of Seoul's famous Myeongdong's shopping streets, and it was a comforting thought that I could frequently return to my room with ease. The room itself was small but extremely cozy and filled with all the necessary amenities. I personally was happy to have gotten the room with the window view looking down the streets below.
During the day time, the staff can get pretty loud at times. My room was located next to the staff's room, and there was a lot of noise made after breakfast and a lot of talking. It made talking my naps a little harder than usual.
Breakfast was provided free of charge in the morning. Water, coffee, and tea was also available anytime.
It was a pleasing stay and I would definitely be looking at this place again if I stay in Myeongdong.

Too bad for the money

Its great location and not too expensive but the saying pay peanuts for monkey is true. We were greeted rudely and given the keys without even looking at us. Breakfast ran out before stated time and the staff cannot bother to tell u where things are. The room was not equip with proper heating system except for a portable heater so those with kids, do not risk staying here. The pillowcase had stain of some kind which didnt look like it was washed as it was flaking off....good thing we stayed less than 10 hours.

The room has all the necessary amenities though it is pretty small. Tiny, but comfy & clean. Cable TV has quite a bit of channels too. This hotel is pretty easy to find and conveniently located in the shopping street. The only downside is that the check in time is a tad late at 3pm. I had to wander around till after 3pm to check in. Other than that, this is a pretty neat place to stay in.

This hotel is VERY convenient - it is right smack in the middle of the shopping street! It is a bit hidden as the sign is a bit small - but I have included a photo on WAZE (if you guys use them, I'm sure you can find it on WAZE).

Overall, I loved the location, and the cleanliness of the room. Only minus point was, although there was hot water but it wasn't consistent - sometimes the shower is too hot, or too cold.

They cleverly designed the room where it is small, compact but cozy. Generally was good, and again, very good location.

If you are looking at a hotel that is at a good location, good price, this is the place you should stay. Other than the toilets are small, everything else was great! This is a guesthouse actually but fulfills all the basic needs. Easy access to subway. Beds were comfy too!

I have enjoyed my stay at Ekonomy Hotel. The hotel is only a short distance to myeongdong subway and the hotel is located in the heart of myeongdong shopping district. The hotel room is small but everything you need are provided.The weekend manager managing the front desk counter can speak fluent English and he is very polite and welcoming.

The hotel is just in Myeongdong and it's extremely convenient. But it's a bit difficult to locate at the very begining. It's actually opposite to the Lotteria and next to the Skypark Hotel. The entrance of the building is quite small and easily overlooked. The room is small but clean. Wifi is stable. Overall it's a nice hotel and worth to stay.
