We booked a Breezy suite for 10 days and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking to stay in Myeongdong. Brilliant views, super close to underground stations and airport links, and right in the heart of a bustling area.

The room was very comfortable and included everything we needed, with a great shower, generously sized tub, loads of storage space, and separate heating controls for different areas of the suite.

It was also cleaned every day, with plenty of fresh towels and face cloths, which we greatly appreciated.

Staff at the hotel were lovely, and made us feel really welcome each and every day. The smell of fresh popcorn every evening - freely available to all guests - was also a lovely touch.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We miss you already!

It is my second time staying at Aloft Seoul Myeongdong and we are loving how convenient it is located. Metro station and Airport bus drop off are within walking distance. Shopping areas are just behind the hotel. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. We are definitely going back when we visit Seoul the next time.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our Breezy Suite was clean, spacious and well appointed with two separate rooms and a large bathroom. The bed and duvet were super comfortable. The location was great - we could easily walk to many interesting attractions, shops, and restaurants from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the front desk who helped us get information on our lost baggage. Our only criticisms would be the lift system can sometimes take too long and the music in the bar could be more laidback and chilled to create a better atmosphere in the evening.

What an excellent hotel at the heart of Myeong-dong. The staff is friendly and helpful in every sense of the word. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the famous Myeong-dong shopping area and is centrally located, so you can walk to the many famous areas, such as Namdamun shopping, Namsan Tower (cable car), Kyungbookoong, the Insadong area, Cheonggaechun, etc. Aloft did a great job with the soundproofing of their rooms. I could not hear flushing sounds or loud neighbors. Many hotels I've stayed in Seoul (including Gangnam) in a similar price range do not compare in this aspect. You will not be disappointed.

Must Stay Hotel in Seoul!

I loved this hotel! The location was amazing - literally a 2 minute walk to the Myeondong night market and 7 minutes to the Namdaemun market.

The staff were really helpful. My 12 YO son had a headache @ 3 AM and I didn’t have any food to give him so he could take ibuprofen. I called the front desk and they sent up a little granola bar. Life saver!

I will stay here every time I visit Seoul. Thank you Aloft Myeongdong!

Enjoyed our stay here at Aloft Myeongdong. Decent location still and close by the night markets. Bus stop about 50m away to catch to Seoul train station was also a bonus when we checked out. Otherwise the underground shopping centre is also close by which is good to access other metro station. Room was well presented and comfortable bed and pillow we were located on a high floor that was also nice.

We arrived early and they were kind enough to let us into a vacant room. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. They also allowed us to leave a couple of hours later than the specified time so we were very grateful. Highly recommend this hotel for their service and for accommodating our requests.

Fine but little disappointing. I was hoping the concierge would be more readily available and knowledgeable. The concierge desk was completely unoccupied throughout our entire stay, so we had to ask staff at the front desk for recommendations, tips, or help. We found one individual to be helpful but assistance was very inconsistent. This is not a good place to stay if it’s your first time in South Korea.

The rooms were clean and the AC worked, but the floor we were on smelled like urine throughout the entire stay. The aesthetics of the hotel were nothing special, and I’d probably stay somewhere else next time - although the breakfast buffet was actually quite good.

The shower head was moldy, which I unfortunately noticed only after using it. There was no service recovery offered—just an apology.
Noise can be an issue, so request a higher floor or a room away from the road. We were informed that all suites face the road.

Pros:
Excellent location—just a short walk to Myeongdong market street!
Reception staff were warm and welcoming, with fluent English. Special mention to the lovely lady who checked us in on May 7th around noon—she was fantastic!
The suite was a good size, well-equipped with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the in-room water dispenser was a great touch.

Not sure if we’ll return due to the issues we encountered, but we’ll keep this place in mind for the future.

Great location, 1 min from Myeongong shopping street. Shinsegae, L Avenue and Lotte Dept store are across the street. bus stops outside the hotel, airport bus 6015 stops at Ibis hotel and is about 3-4 walk to Aloft. Front desk staff friendly; called a taxi for us to the airport, always greeted with a smile. Our room was spacious, opened 2 large suitcase without a problem and still had plenty of space to move around. Shower water pressure was a bit weak. Housekeeping did a good job although, it would be great if they can close the doors quietly while they are cleaning in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in the BEST location in Seoul. It’s right across from two department stores and next to Myeongdong. Lovely service and very responsive to any issues. I’ve stayed here two years in a row and will definitely be back again. Thank you!

I normally do not give review. But I had to for this one. Do not want anyone to miss out of the amazing experience I’ve had with the place. We went stay here as a family of 4. The place and the staffs is amazing. Great room space and shower! It’s so close to everything. You have eating strips on all corners of this hotel. The night market is right behind the hotel. High end shopping is across the street. Strongly recommend for family with young kids. So convenient.

Amazing time. For me location of a hotel is key when discovering a city and a lot was perfectly located. I love walking to discover a new place and a Loft is right inn the middle.
Also at night you have this amazing street food market and I went there often.
The rooms are super comfy and clean. Gym was perfect for couple of days. Staff was super nice too

The staff clearly made the difference. I stayed twice at the same hotel in a week for over five days and they were amazing.

Because I had a gao between both of my reservations - they accepted holding one of my luggage’s as I was away for a week.

Superb thing to do. They were kind, nice, helpful. Definitely would get back to stay there.

The Aloft Hotel in Myeongdong was centrally located, had clean rooms, lovely service from the staff, and great complimentary products. The popcorn by the elevators was such a fun touch! We also really loved the breakfast, especially the pho bar and the fun croissant/waffles.

I suspected the room we had was supposed to be under service but assign to us.
First thing, the door card gave us issue on our first day. And we have to go up and down thrice times before the front desk staff came up together to get the card rectify. (Annoying! And give us a ??? Face, of cause, because it’s not her problem)

There are black stains on the towel suddenly, which was puzzling. Until the last night, mystery solved, it was from the carpet in the room. My daughter put her bag on the floor and the next day, there is a dark stain on her bag.

Middle of the seat, water pipe leaking below the basin 😑.

The lifts, too forever to come. You can just stay and wait for 4-5 mins for your lift to come. And it will just change as and when. Like you are waiting for Lift 1 then change to Lift 2 and back to Lift 1 again. Rather crazy.

Front desk, seems like there is only 1 lady who can speak fluent English…!

The only good thing is, the hotel location is conveniently near subway and myeongdong street.

Water from the shower stall do make its way out to the toilet floor.

I do agree that most visitors, especially first time visitors to Korea, would prefer Korean style breakfast in the morning but strengthening the Western style breakfast would be nice.

We absolutely loved our stay at Aloft Myeongdong! The hotel's location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore nearby attractions, shopping spots, and dining options. The Myeongdong subway station is just a short walk away, which made getting around so easy.

Our room was fantastic – modern, spacious, and immaculately clean. The thoughtful design and comfortable amenities made it the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the cozy bed and the quiet ambiance that ensured restful nights.

The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. Their friendly service truly elevated our experience.

Great stay for our family!

We had a really comfortable and wonderful stay on our family trip with our toddler. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the suite we had allowed for us to create another room for our toddler. Only downside is there aren’t toddler beds or pack and plays available so we brought our own but that’s the case with other hotels in the area as well. Our room was beautiful, had great views and was attended to well. If you’re looking to stay in Gangnam I highly recommend this hotel!

The location of the hotel is excellent. Love the bed as it was so comfortable. The water dispenser in the room came in handy too. Though not everyone at the reception counter is fluent in English but they were friendly and helpful, especially a few of the gentlemen at the lobby door when we need help to call for a taxi.

Great location for shopping, site seeing and has many many restaurants to choose from. Namdaemun market is a short walk away! Staff was very good and very helpful getting taxi's and recommending restaurants to try. The only thing that bothered me was I had to pay for parking. The price wasn't bad, 20,000 won, but still, it should be included with the stay.

Booked a suite for a family stay, although small we reallocation enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable and a great location. Only negative to note was the bathroom light. Due to bathroom design, the bathroom light piercers through the glass into the bedroom, even with door shut so make going to the bathroom during the night very bright, likely waking whoever is in bed. Otherwise, everything really good.
