Staff are very helpful, location is good. But the room has lots of missing, like no plug in for hair dryer or shaver. Nothing to hung the towels inside the bathroom. For the price I paid , it would be nice to have a plug for any gadgets international .

Hotel Lobby is clean and very modern, but rooms different story very run down needs serious updating walls are dirty and scuffed all cabinetry are damaged and chipped paint peeling off doors also got seriously bitten by bed bugs here. Only positive is the breakfast buffet is pretty good lots of variety and ramen bar.

However, due to yhe woody nature of the bathroom, it emitted some odor after the 3rd day of my 5-night stay. Brownie points for having netflix available for the guests.

This has got to be one of the worst stays we have had in a while. Imagine entering the Line room booked with ball pit for the kids with so much excitement but to find strands of hair all around the sofa of the ball pit, in the ball pit, on the bed too.

There’s even a used towel behind the sofa that hasn’t been cleared, chocolate leftover in the ball pit I cleaned and staining the other balls.

If the property is unable to maintain a certain hygiene standard, it’s best not to have such facilities that aren’t easy to clean.

Upon informing the hotel, one of the housekeeping staff came up only with a roller to stick up the strands of hair with his shoes in the room.

Property is also dated and not well-kept.

The stay was extremely disappointing and unexpected from a chain under Sotetsu.

Rooms are clean , staaf are helpful and efficient. Amenities are ok. Breakfast was good but its the same selection everyday hiwever there are variety to choose from.

Room ok however we were on the 13th floor one floor below the Line Friends floor and some night it can be noisy. We have been woken up around 11pm from jumping and thumping noises from upstairs bedroom and this happened for a few nights during our stay

It’s conveniently located. We stayed two different times at the hotel over a week. Our first room had a sewage smell the moment we went in. The hotel staff was nice and quickly helped us change our room. Our second room was fine at the beginning but halfway through the night, the sewage smell appeared. We told them upon checkout and the staff listened and put a note that our next room will not have this smell. During our second stay, our room was much better and didn’t have a smell. Besides the smell, the hotel is good for a short trip in Seoul.

Great hotel fab location!! If early check in isn’t available they have lockers for your suitcase so you can explore. Staff are very helpful.

Did not have breakfast and the room was only slight dusty in the corner, but we always put do not disturb on as don’t feel we need people to clean up after us, so I’m sure if we had it would’ve been addressed!!

The only thing I would mention is the strange bathroom set up- There is no door to the bathroom itself only a sliding door between either the shower or the toilet so both cannot be closed at the same time. This is not a massive issue, but something I would note as this may be annoying for those not in a couple!

Otherwise would highly recommend the hotel!!

LOCATION is NEAR everything… it’s around 7-8 mins walk to Myeongdong night market, around 10-12 mins walk to Namdaemun Market, near metro station and bus station.
Just 1 min walk to Bus Station to the airport with number 6001.
There are many great food around…
I love this location…!!!

It was walkable to the shopping area and there’s so many restaurants within a couple minutes walk. I would come back!

Our experience of Sotetsu Splaisir was very good, although the rooms felt a bit small for a family of 4. Good choice of food for breakfast although opening time of 7am feels a bit late especially considering that tours start at 07h30. The hotel is close to major attractions, centrally located and close to many eateries. Easy to catch the airport bus from there.

The Splaisir Sotetsu Myeongdong is simply unbeatable when it comes to location. I was very impressed with the property and the hotel as a whole! Our flight got delayed and we missed a day and the hotel was kind enough to hold onto our reservation even though it was clearly a popular time for tourists. They also checked us in extremely late and treated us with kindness all the way through. The staff was always courteous, kind, and helpful in making us feel comfortable during our stay and also helped me with a broken dryer that I was trying to use, and never once acted like it was something that was annoying or too difficult. To top it all off, this hotel was right in the heart of Seoul and was perfect to go literally anywhere there! We checked off just about everything we were looking to do in the time we were there and it was in large part due to the centrality of the hotel's location. I can't recommend this place enough and I know that if we ever come back to Seoul, we will certainly look to stay here first!

Great location, close to food shopping and transport to see everything in Seoul. Staff were good but fellow guests were quite rude. Each day as we exited the elevators other guests were charging into us with suitcases (people exit lifts first is common courtesy). Also had guests near me who were running up and down the hallway loudly chatting in the hallway and banging doors loudly at all hours. I had to tell them to be quiet as my elderly parents were sleeping at 10:30pm. So keep this in mind if you’re looking for a relaxing stay this might not be the hotel for you as it is very busy and loud guests.

We were here for a night. It would have been a challenge to stay for longer, as the room wasn’t much larger than the beds, which were on a platform. The complimentary pyjamas and latex mattresses were amazing. The bathroom was huge in comparison, with a tub, separate shower stall and separate toilet room. There’s a market across the street and it’s a 20 minute walk to the train station.

For what we paid, we found this hotel disappointing.
Service was excellent, lobby was nice.

However, the room had paint peeling off the walls in places, chipped furniture that was delaminating and grout peeling off in the bathroom. Maybe we got a bad room.

Quite a lot of smudges on the walls and marks and stains on the walls. Would have expected more from a four star, but I'm not super familiar with Seoul. No view, just a tiny window overlooking a wall.

I connected to wifi for the first time in 30 days and used a credit card that is almost never used. I was trying to find a card that would work in Korea. My credit card was stolen immediately, but it could have been the application I used.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sotetsu. It was a great location so we were able to hit the shops and food areas in Myongdong. There was lots to see within walking distance. Convenience stores were nearby as well which were great for food/snacks. We stayed on the Line Friends floors which was so cute! The room was very comfortable. Only issue would be not enough accessible power outlets to charge our phones etc. There were power outlets but they were mostly occupied with other things.

Location is near airport bus pick up stop ie going back to the airport but airport bus drop off can be quite tricky especially if airport bus driver transferred you from 6015 to 6001. If dropped off across the street, you will have to carry your bag/s thru the underpass to cross.
