We had another wonderful stay at Stanford Myeongdong.

The staff were amazing, and Selena at the front desk was especially so helpful with everything we needed. Thank you so much, Selena, for taking such good care of us.

I think this is already our fifth or sixth time staying here, and they honestly never disappoint. That’s why we keep coming back.

If you’re planning a trip to Seoul and want to stay in Myeongdong, I highly recommend Stanford. The location is probably one of the most convenient in the area, and all of the staff speak English, which makes everything so much easier.

Thank you again for another great stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Stayed here twice and 1st time, room felt very small. Stayed in standard twin but was very cramped for 2 people. 2nd time went for superior twin, but room felt old and had that old smell to it. Also found some hairs still in bathtub. There's also a window next to bathtub with shades, but it doesnt seem to close completely making it feel a bit awkward. Lobby/reception very nice, and really enjoyed the daily breakfast. If I were to stay here again, I'd consider it but I'd definately choose a different room.

Hotel location is superb, especially if you are in Seoul for a short stay!!! Shopping mall, street food market, subway station, all within 5-10 minute walking distance at most! Hotel staff was very friendly and they managed to check us in early, since we took the first flight out of Osaka!

We loved our corner room on the 18th floor a lot. The views were amazing day and night. Close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having lockers available for the luggage helped a lot, as we arrived 5 hours before check-in (which I found inconvenient being at 3;00pm).

I spent a week at the Stanford in Myeongdong, in a superior double room, which was quiet, spacious and well-maintained. It even had a nice view of Namsan Park and tower. Aside from the wifi signal being a little weak at one end of the room, I have no complaints at all and would happily stay again. As many guests note, the hotel’s location is excellent, and its staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine, but there isn’t much in it for those who, like me, are lactose intolerant and prefer to eat Western food.

Great location if you want to be in the action close to everything! Family suite was a bit tight for 2 college students and parents but we made it work.
The bartender Mia was a total sweetheart and joy to talk to and huge help preparing us for our train ride to the airport.

Excellent staff, service and central location. Very close to subway station that connects to all over Seoul. Airport bus stops on same side of street as hotel and within a 2min walk to hotel.
Great breakfast buffet to start the day. 5min walk to Myeongdong shopping and night life, but far enough from the noise.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The hotel was spotless, very comfortable, and in a perfect central location. Everything we needed was nearby, with so many shops and places to explore around the area. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. We also loved how clean and safe the surrounding streets felt. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

Some reviews say breakfast was the same thing every day but we stayed there for 4 nights and every day there were different foods out. The western options like cereal and toast and waffles were the only things that stayed the same.
The location was the best. So close to the green line and an easy access elevator (awesome if you have a pram like we did). Close to the Myengdong markets and Lotte mall for high end shopping.

Stanford Myeongdong was a decent hotel. We stayed in a two single bed room with a great view of the city. Breakfast was okay, nothing stood out, but good to have as many places don’t open till later in the day. The bathroom was the main issue as it wasn’t very powerful, but our shower kept leaking. It was one of those removable ones but wouldn’t stay in place when having the shower on full blast, making it spray outside of the tub and onto the bathroom floor. Overall decent stay; good location, comfortable enough.

The only reason I did not give a 5 star was that the room smelled musty when coming back from a long day away, we figured it was because the aircon was on automatic and since we were gone most of the day, it was off. Took us a while to figure out the aircon from being turn off automatically when we were gone and throughout the night, The curtains had a little mold on the bottom, I'm assuming was based on the aircon issue. Other than that, it was pretty clean elsewhere, room size was good for 4 adults, and location was ideal for the elderly in our group. Great location on Myeongdong street and close to the train station.

You really can't be more ideally located to subway, bus stops, and Myeongdong Street. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The only minor thing was there is only elevator that goes from 1st/ground floor to the rooms, but I'm sure nothing the staff can do anything about.

We booked an edge room which was very hot during our stay. Contacted the front desk, they sent maintenance but only advised us to keep our drapes closed, which we did, but it did not help. The thermostat range was 23.5-26.5 which was way too warm for me. Contacted front desk again. Not very helpful. Hotel was very close to everything.

This hotel is located in a perfect location. It's right in the heart of Myeongdong and we walked to the night market, shopping, nearby restaurants. There is a subway entrance just outside of the hotel. In addition, it was an easy place to catch ubers to. The rooms are a bit small, but my family of 4 was able to fit okay in the \"family room\".

Shower drain does not work well. Water does not drain making it disgusting to shower in. Grout in shower wall and floor is dirty and it needs updating. Had issue with the air conditioner. The room was only cool at night.

We love Stanford Hotel Myeongdong! The location is perfect, so close to shops, the station, and the lively Myeongdong night markets. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they don’t have a dedicated family room, so we booked two rooms for our family of five. Overall - I would stay again if other hotels around the area is booked. Did not get any wow moment that made us want to come back.
Checkin - fast and easy, but staff did not provide any information about the hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and ended up having to find out info ourselves. Windows were dirty. Not much view to enjoy.
Room - we had a double bed on 17 floor. Very small, only shower. Room felt very stuffy and room temp can’t be controlled. Heat still came on even after turning off.
Cleaning - cleaning lady on the 2 day and 3rd was good. The first day, forgot the line our garbage bins and we didn’t get bottle waters.

We had a fantastic and comfortable stay at Stanford Hotel Myeongdong. As a family with kids, our priority is accessibility to food. We had breakfast at the lobby, but there is also a convenience store/stand that had snacks, drinks - great for late night munchies. Right outside the hotel, LOTS of places to eat, and Myeongdong street is just steps away. Each floor had a hot/cold water dispenser and self-serve laundry is also available. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Our room was tidied up every day, with fresh towels and replenished bottles of water. Definitely would recommend to anyone going for the first time, especially with family.

Breakfast items were pretty much the same everyday and we spent 8 days eating breakfast. The food quality was average. What I disliked most about my room is the lack of hot water which we didn’t have for a few hours one night and the poor water pressure which was every night. Another disappointment is the front desk denying my request for some plates and silverware so I can put some food to reheat at the 9th floor microwave; they told me no plates and sent me to their manager who was nice enough to let us have some plates at the restaurant. Overall, the best aspect to this hotel is the location.

Great reception except on last day when i left one room card in the room and i had to rush for airport transport and could locate the card in the room despite making a trip back to the room, i was charged KRW 10k for missing room card (no other hotels imposed this fees in my travel history), receptionist could have highlight this upfront if this is strictly adhered to. Other than this, great stay and location of hotel

The location is perfect—close to restaurants, the subway, and shopping areas—but the room is a bit too small for two queen beds. The bathroom also smelled like urine when we arrived, which was really unpleasant. I’ve never had any issues with skin irritation before, but the bedsheets made me itch, and the same happened to my children.

Room was great. We faced the Lotte department store and I was worried about noise but never heard anything from outside. Loved the water machine so close to our room. Also the bathrooms and overall room was very spacious. Also loved there was a bathtub to give the baby a bath. We had breakfast each morning in the cafe and it was delicious. Lots of variety so everyone was happy. Also the staff overall was very nice but especially in the cafe my only feedback is to have bigger napkins in the cafe and maybe no motion dector light when you enter the room. .
