Hotel 28 Myeongdong is in a very convenient location. Right in the heart of the Myeongdong shopping area, and the street market is only a block away so I ate a few treats there.

Beware that the Queen size rooms face a wall--literally the window view is a wall. No natural light at all. I upgraded to a King size room and got a nice view of the streets. They also have a small minibar with complimentary drinks and almonds.

I would stay here again, but only in a King room!

I have been here many times, and I keep returning because of the high quality of service and the convenient location (near subway stations and very near to many food options).

When I face any issues in the room and raise those up, the staff are quick to resolve them. I would definitely want to return again!

Perfect location, wonderful staff, and a beautiful room (it really is as pictured on the website). The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. There was even a Dyson hairdryer! It was our anniversary so the staff had put a lovely welcome message on our mirror and given us a little cake to share :) We had a little trouble with the heating, but the staff provided us with an external heater and without any prompting from us, they took note that the heating still wasn’t fixed and kindly offered us another room… even though we only had one night left of our stay. Really a great experience! Oh, and the breakfast is a must!

Hotel 28 Myeongdong has truly become our family’s home in Seoul. Our December 21–28 stay again showed how consistently warm, efficient, and heartfelt their service is.

From arrival, the team went beyond standard hospitality. Our airport bus could not enter the narrow street, so staff met us on a different road and personally helped with all our luggage. Even after we lost a bag at Incheon, the front desk handled everything calmly, contacting the transport agency, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, and Asiana Airlines, and updating us without us needing to follow up.

The breakfast staff were just as memorable. They recognized our daughters from last year, greeted them warmly every morning, and engaged them with sincere conversations that made the hotel feel personal. Because it was Christmas, the team also played “Santa,” discreetly receiving and delivering gifts to our room so our girls could wake up to a magical morning.

Their care extended beyond the hotel. When a luxury shop at Shinsegae accidentally sent us off with an empty box, the hotel received the actual item for us and let us know immediately.

Our 3:30 a.m. departure in freezing weather, with 16 pieces of luggage, could have been a disaster. Instead, Sugar at the front desk and another staff member walked with us to the main road, helped with every bag, and stayed until everything was safely loaded onto the bus.

The staff was absolutely first rate. I’ve travelled all over the world and they were really special. The room was great - big bathtub and shower, comfy bed and pillows. Awesome location in the heart of Myeongdong, but couldn’t hear a thing up in my 5th floor room. I won’t stay anywhere else if I make it back to Seoul.

We stayed for 8 night at Hotel 28 Myeongdong. The hotel room was modern and chic, location was smack in Myeongdong, close to all the touristy attractions, spoilt by the option of food available Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

The only feedback I had was the bed. The name Small Luxury Hotels gave the impression of luxury feeling, but not the bed. For the price paid, the hotel should have provided better bed, not a sunken one. When I opened the quilt cover without sleeping on it yet, the bed was already sunken. I am sure Hotel 28 Myeongdong can afford better quality bed.

The fact I choose this hotel again was because I stayed there 8 years ago and it was perfect (hotel was just opened in 2016). Kind of disappointed this time, year 2025.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Close to most historical sights and public transport. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good with a choice of set menus, both Korean and western. It does finish a bit early with last orders at 9.30 am. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and have very comfy beds and a complementary minibar. For being right in the middle of Myeongdong, it was reasonably quiet at night (and they provide earplugs if it isn't). It didn't bother me.

We loved being in the middle of Myeongdong during our stay in Seoul. Despite the almost perpetual craziness outside, our 3rd floor room was comfy and quiet.

Also, the restaurant is excellent! We enjoyed a Korean breakfast one day, and lunch on another day. Both were beautifully prepared and service was helpful and fun.

The only issue with the hotel was not being able to check in early. Our flight was arriving at 3:30 AM so we knew we would be at the Hotel by 5:00 AM. We e-mailed in advance and they replied saying it would depend on availability of the room. Welp, room was available but they still wouldn't let us in...

Taxi struggle to find hotel but got there eventually. Nice hotel rooms, good quality. Common areas ok. Annoying the reception is on the 6th floor with rooms below as spend time in lift going up/down more than needed.
Location is good and central. Not the nicest street as full of fast food restaurants but everything is accessible and easy.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at hotel28. The location is excellent, surrounded by shopping and dining options. The free mini-bar is an outstanding idea and we loved it. The room was spacious, with enough room for us and our luggage and still room to move about. The staff were helpful, arranging taxis for us when needed and helping explain other amenities. We loved the self service laundry - this made it so much easier to pack as we knew we could wash clothes while we were there. Thank you for a truly unforgettable stay. We will 100% be back here on our next trip to Seoul.

Fantastic. If you’re looking for an upscale experience, do this. It’s right on Myeongdong, so if you want to go there, this is your hotel. It’s a smaller hotel but it’s a luxury hotel. While we were visiting the roof, had Jackie Chans car from one of his movies, they had borrowed it so we took some pictures there, which was pretty cool.
Staff are attentive and there’s a laundromat on the roof, when you walk out, there’s literally restaurants 5 feet away.
We would stay here again. We were a family of four and we all fit in their room.

Hotel28 is a really pleasant experience with the friendliest staff you will ever encounter in Seoul. Wish It was a little more spacious, as the bed had barely enough room to the sides. It is also right in the heart of Myeongdong, so you can spend your entire stay exploring, eating and shopping in one of the most popular tourist areas. There’s also literally a Din Tai Fung in the hotel on the 2nd floor. It is also across the street from Lottie Department Store and not far from the subway station. Would recommend using taxi apps to enter Hotel28 as destination, Korean cab drivers couldn’t find it using Hangul.

I don't like the layout for the twin room. Wasted space and inefficient layout for toilets. Just a curtain which does not really cover the toilets instead of doors. Therefore only 1 person can use when another is bathing. The bathtub in the centre is just a waste of space. Most important is that the bathroom doors should be frosted so that two persons can use the toilet at the same time. The curtain is just an extremely bad design. The room is seriously badly designed.

the location was perfect - great walkability score in the heart of Myeongdong to all the shops, two 7elevens, the subway stations, and pharmacies. It’s even close to McDonalds. Staff were extremely kind and very helpful when I had random questions or asked for help with tour or spa bookings. You can hear the night life outside at night and they do provide ear plugs, but I didn’t find it bothersome or difficult to go to sleep at all. Hotel breakfast was tasty and perfect time wise (open at 7am) since a lot of places don’t open till 10. Laundry was also available and easy to use. Would def stay here again!

Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was quiet even though the F&B outlets are just in front of the hotel. Room is considered big compared with other hotels that we stayed in the past. Hotel is near to the Eujiro 1 station and Myeongdong station, both about 3 mins and 8 mins walk respectively.
Our 7 nights stay package includes the breakfast which is realy good. One feedback is that the brealfast menu could be changed to a different menu on every 3 days for variety. Nevertheless, we will definitely stay at Hotel28 again when we visit Seoul again.

Hotel is situated in the city district. Shopping malls so convenient and surrounding little shops. Food courts in abundance. Hotel rooms very clean and refrigerator drinks are replenished daily which I love and it’s free!!! Easy walkable distance to places you want to go. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel28 is a nice boutique hotel in the heart of Myeongdong. The rooms are just as advertised in the photos, if not slightly larger. The bathroom in particular was extremely well done with new finishes, separate, toilet, bath and large shower.

Despite being warned about construction, the room was very quiet and a nice reprieve from the frenetic atmosphere of the neighborhood.

My daughter and I stayed here for five nights - perfect location, quiet rooms despite being on a busy street - and all high end amenities and services. While the restaurant was closed, the hotel offered a catered box breakfast of our choosing and it was served hot and at the requested time. The commercial grade coffee service and hair dryer in the room along with the upscale heated plumbing fixtures were a bonus. The staff spoke English well and were very happy to help. The daily cleaning and the complimentary refreshing mini-bar were very welcome and unexpected. This boutique hotel offers a valued service and accommodations. We loved it (and we travel a lot). As I'm a producer, I loved the film theme despite not knowing the actor who owns the hotel.

There was one night when there was someone singing/performing outside the hotel and it was quite loud until around midnight, but we didn’t have problems other nights. Overall it was a great experience, the hotel and our room were tastefully decorated and we even got a small bag of popcorn on arrival. Highly recommmend!

Excellent stay at hotel 28 Myeongdong! Best location, near shopping, restaurants, tour pick ups, large mall and street foods. Everything is right there. Great service by front desk, very clean and surprisingly quiet with all the action just in front. Mini fridge refilled daily with drinks. We went on three tours and all pick ups were in walking distance. Would stay here again.

Place was great overall. If you’re not a smoker, you’d probably have issues right outside the hotel as it’s a common smoking zone. Meaning every time you step out of the hotel or get back to the hotel, you’ll be passing by a street with a good helping smell of cigarettes.

Convenient location

good location - alot of eateries around and walking distance to convenience stalls. Hotel offers dyson hair dryer so do not have to bring own hairdryer

Best hotel. Staff was great. Big room for Seoul with a great corner view. Location is perfect for fun and metro. I would stay here every chance I could.

It was located near everything and conveniently located for tourists. The only thing that I didn’t like was level of noise from the street at night due to the famous chicken and beer alley.
