Calta’s Hotel

I liked the place because it was economy and east place to stay and added touch close to transportation. Close to Euljiro- 1 and 2 Train Station, ease of taxi and Bus. Shopping Mal and souvenirs close as well of great street food. Office is on 4th floor and quarters was on third floor. No food in room for they have kitchen area to eat and small fridge/coffee pot available.

Staff didn't seem so friendly and accommodating. Wish they were to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. I would come in and out of the hotel and the person at the front desk always looked stressed and did not give at least a smile or a nod. If you just need a place to sleep, this place is good as it is conveniently located INSIDE the myeongdong shopping street, with lots of dining options outside of the hotel.

Worst “hotel”

This place was not as expected at all. Check in is exactly at 3pm, no one will even be at the counter a minute prior.
While I was checking in there was so much construction going on and wires hanging from the ceiling.
The hotel is near a cosmetic surgery facility, so the rooms are being used as recover stays for patients. No actual visitors are staying there. They don’t provide actual towels. They only give you a small face towel. The restrooms are located are public, so any business on that floor has access to it!
I was so uncomfortable, I ended up leaving a couple hours after check in. I wish I could get a refund!

The location is perfect as it’s near enough central to the main shopping area. The staff were friendly and while there was a language barrier they showed no frustration. As the hotel is in a building with other businesses a couple of restaurants to be exact I was able to meet people. Felt completely safe I smoke and would go outside at 1pm-3pm as I sometimes suffer from insomnia and never once felt at risk- I am aware not everyone may have this experience but for me the location the facilities and the people were perfect.

The customer service is very unfriendly. There is nothing much in this hotel. Its just for sleeping and bathing. i have 3 hotels on this Seoul Trip and i think this is the worst. the towels are very yellowish not white anymore. The toilet is very small its like you shower area and toilet area are together. They dont clean the room during 5days stay. While my other accomodation they clean everyday.

CONS:
The front desk guy is very rude. Always cuts me off when I am speaking.
Knocks and comes into the room to turn off AC even if I was still in the bedroom. I talked to him about it but he kept doing that. I even asked if the use of AC is timed, he said no. But he still went in to turn it off, multiple times.

NO SHARED WR(Toilet) FOR DORMITORY.
This hostel is on the 4th floor of a commericial building. There are other offices in the bldg so you will be using public toilet because they only have wash area inside the dormitory.

PROS:
Great location. It is in the heart of Myeongdong.
Clean dormitory.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, SAVE YOUR MONEY STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT TREAT U BETTER.
I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at CALISTAR Hotel during my visit to Korea, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. From the moment I entered the premises, I encountered numerous issues that left me unsatisfied and frustrated.
Firstly, the service at this hotel was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, lacking any semblance of professionalism. Even simple requests took an eternity to be fulfilled. It felt like they couldn't be bothered to cater to guests' needs.
Furthermore, the rooms were far from what was advertised. The walls were thin, allowing every sound from the hallway and neighboring rooms to infiltrate my peace. This made it impossible to get a good night's sleep, with constant disturbances throughout my stay. The decor was outdated and worn-out, lacking any warmth or charm. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with noticeable dust and stains on the furniture.
The worst aspect of my stay was the faulty bathroom facilities. The showerhead barely produced any water pressure, making it a frustrating endeavor to cleanse oneself effectively. Moreover, the drainage system was faulty, resulting in a slow and unpleasant flooding of the bathroom floor. This led to a constant dampness and an uncomfortable environment.
However, another worst experience is that next room complained about us being loud and we were not loud at

Very disappointing

First of all, the location could not be better! It is a short walk from lines 2 and 4 and close enough to the main Myeongdong hub without being too affected by the noise.
Unfortunately, that was really the only positive I had about staying here. I had to wait in the reception while the worker behind the desk showed guests around which wasn’t very necessary.
The rooms are extremely tight which was never much of an issue but, because there are no windows, it was far too warm. We were not allowed to put the air con any lower than 25 degrees which didn’t make much difference and people would switch it off through the night. The bedroom light also stays on throughout the night and the curtain does not do a great job at blocking the light so I did not get a full nights sleep for the entirety of my 4 night stay.

The staff could not speak English, so communication was difficult to solve my issues. I was confused about the description at the last exit to walk to the hotel. The description says explicitly 'turn right ' when leaving exit 5 but in fact I should have turned to the left. Before I realized this, I crossed a big street and I needed to ask people about the way to Calistar.

Very good is the transportation system. But you need to know where you are and where you want to go. There is a special app for this to support you.

Note: Double room / Twin room has NO WINDOW.
My work mate checked in first and I realized that the room have no window at all. I did not wished to make any issue since I visited Seoul for work not for leisure so I did not make any complaint. However, unlike its photo, the room DOES NOT HAVE ANY WINDOW. And trust me, having window do make big difference in terms of your breathing comfort. Plus, you can hardly see front desk person when you check-in. (My work mate checked in at 7PM and there was another group of people whom waiting for front desk person to show up) Later 10PM, I again found another groups of people whom waiting for Front desk person to check in.

Chinese tourist trap - dirty motel.

BEWARE!!!!! The hotel owners are not Korean - they are Chinese. Most of the people who stay are Chinese tourists (rude and loud). This isn't a hotel, it's an office turned into a dorm-style room. The walls are not sound proof so you can hear conversations and people fighting (Chinese tourists). The pillows were infested with bed bugs (see picture below) and the hotel is that of Chinese standards - I should know I lived in China for 10 years. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and hotels.com should dump them as a vendor. As for parking, don't believe their 10,000KRW a day parking price, I got charged more than that.

일단 위치는 최고입니다.명동한복판에 이만한 가격대로 숙박을 할 수 있다는것 자체가 최고입니다.
객실도 조용하고 좋았습니다. 객실이 다만 굉장히 좁지만 그래도 티비도 있고 화장실도 있어서 휴식을 취하는데 아무런 문제가 없었습니다.

It’s very hard to find the hotel. The rooms is clean. The slippers hurt so much to wear, it’s unbearable to walk to the bathroom with them. The toilets are also not just for hotel guests it’s a shared public toilet that anyone in the building can use. It’s not super clean and the toilet seats are very loose and slides around. The kitchen is small but I like the water machine! The staff are kind and through. The shower room looks good too.

お値段相当です。
タオルだけは絶対に改善された方がいいと思います。
3泊4日で毎日タオルを置いて下さっていましたが、使い回しなのか汚れも目立っていて、そんなことならタオルはオプション購入にされた方がいいかと思います。
また、小さいタオルでした。バスタオルは無し。
他の口コミ拝見して私もダイソーで何枚かタオル買いました。

また、シャワーやドライヤーの威力は問題なかったのですが、シャワーが温水になったり冷水になったり、かなりしんどかったです。
結構長い間冷たい水の時もありました。

ただ、宿泊女性エリア、ドミトリーベッド部屋ごとにナンバーロックがあり、安心しやすかったです。

15時前はスタッフ居らずチェックインはできず、キャリーを4Fホテル横のロッカーやロッカー付近に放置、という感じです。
ロッカーは手荷物しか入らないようなサイズで、キャリーはその辺に一時置いておきました。

シャワールーム、キッチンエリアは1:00〜6:00は使えないので、もう少し遅くまで遊びたかったのが残念ですが、ドミトリーですし仕方ないかな、と。

ただ、全体的に掃除がかなり行き届いていて
そこは気持ちよく利用できました。
防犯カメラもかなり設置されているので安心。
シャワールームは、5部屋程×4人に対して、3ブースでしたが、案外被ることはあまりなかったです。

明洞のDAISO本店からまっすぐ行った所にあります。立地めっちゃいいです。2人部屋ドミトリーに泊まりました。韓国のホテルはたまに部屋が臭い？のですがここは問題ありませんでした。お布団も臭くなかったです。テナントビルを何店舗か借りてる感じの作りで、フロントでチェックインして女性専用ドミトリーのテナントまで行く感じです。なので廊下ではなく、フロアの共用スペースを移動します。同じフロアにはマッサージ店や美容クリニックがありました。お手洗いもフロアの共用トイレを使います。トイレットペーパーは流せないタイプのお手洗いです。でも綺麗でした。シャワー室は３つ並んであり、スリッパを履いて浴びるタイプです。お湯の出は不安定です。一度1番手前のシャワー室に入ってお湯が出るのを待ちましたが全然出なかったので諦めました。せめて顔だけでも洗おうと洗面台でお湯を出したら出たので（笑）、違うシャワー室で改めて浴びました。お湯の温度は熱くなったり冷たくなったり一定ではないので、根気良く使ってください（笑）部屋では水以外の飲食禁止なのでキッチンスペースに行き飲食しますが、キッチンスペースでの会話は響きます。耳栓の用意をお勧めします。チェックアウトは無人で「チェックインの時に渡したカードキーをここに入れてください」でチェックアウトとなります。が、ドミトリータイプのお部屋はカードキーありません。なのでなにもせずチェックアウト😅防犯カメラに写ってるので何かあったら連絡してくると思います。古さや不便さははあるものの、立地はいいしお安いので良いかと思います。斜め前にはオリヤン、コンビニも近くご飯屋さんもたくさんあります。お手洗いが不便なのと洗面台が共用なのと、部屋で飲食できない点がありますが、友人2人で2人部屋に泊まって更に旅程にスパが入るならアリかと思います。

良かった点
明洞へ行きやすい、地下鉄（2号線、4号線は少し距離ある）や空港のバスが近い、飲食店が多い、スタッフさんは丁寧（TVが点かなく、呼んだらすぐ対応してくれました。説明もゆっくり英語で伝えてくれました。）、部屋はやや広めでスーツケース１つは広げられる
不満点
施設内臭いがきつい（部屋も換気扇なく？壊れていた？芳香剤の匂いが充満）、エレベーターが中々乗らない（他階より人が多く乗ってくる時間があり10分程、待つ事もあった）、タオル類がボロボロで汚い、シャワーを浴びると扉の下の隙間から漏れて水浸しになる、部屋の中での食事禁止、食べるスペースは狭め、荷物を外（廊下）に置くため不安、ハンガーは少なく荷物を置くスペースがあまりない、スリッパは汚い、ティッシュなし、リモコン類の説明なし。

値段相応のホテル。立地だけはとても良いと思うがリピートはない。

明洞の街中なので、とにかく交通とショッピングに好都合！ウルジロ入口が最寄り！
そこを優先させるなら十分でした。
安いので、部屋で飲食やヘアアイロン禁止など縛りがあるのは、事前に承知の上でなら選んでもいいと思います。
汚いわけではないので、縛りがOKならオススメです◎
受付な人は英語か韓国語のみですが、なんとかいけます！

Sehr gute Lage. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem sehr belebten Viertel. Ess und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist hier reichlich vorhanden. Der öffentliche Nahverkehr ist hier unmittelbar in der Umgebung zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel hatte leider in Sauberkeit nicht überzeugt. Das Zimmer in dem wir waren roch sehr muffig und die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Ansonsten Hotel in guter Lage.

Don't go

Stayed for 1 night in shared dorm. No air con in the afternoon and there was no window, making it unbearable to stay in the room. Extremely dissatisfied with the shower, it seems like they share the same boiler for the shower, so when there were others taking shower at the same time, you don't get hot water, water would suddenly become super hot or super cold and the water pressure was not good. Most difficult time in life to take a shower.
Additionally, when checking in, the staff mentioned multiple times on keeping the facilities undamaged or they would charge you extra, and it felt like they are assuming you would break something or so.

19日目のフロントの対応がすごく悪かったのでガッカリしましたが20〜22日のフロントの方は
とても優しそうな方で気持ちよく過ごせました。　立地的に　とても便利だし紹介されていたので

シャワー室は朝使った方が清潔です。空いてるしお掃除も済んでいます。夜は混んでるし、びしょ濡れなのは仕方ないけど。あとは問題ないです。1人旅なら便利だしおすすめです！

首先我要是事先知道這酒店要求那麼多，我是一定不會租下它！！
第一在地圖上是找不到的！它的名字是「明洞寶石酒店」所謂3星酒店！
第二床單和毛巾都是發黃，有很多碎頭髮在床單上！
第三「租住6天」是從來沒有人來收拾房間的！
第四第一次住「酒店」是需要自己收垃圾及分類！
第五房間不淮進食不要緊，但是共享廚房是凌晨1時就關閉。過時還被職員黑臉！
第六熱水忽冷忽熱的，洗澡很辛苦！
第七毛巾要自己放在外的收集桶，也沒有人告知可在那取新毛巾！
第八冷氣是直接吹向床，身體不強壯不建議住這裡！

總結。整體很差很差很差！還有被歧視的感覺！在來韓國不會再選擇此間「酒店」
建議選梨太院或弘大附近的

8月初旬に宿泊しました。
2泊1室約18,000円3名
専用バストイレ付トリプルルームのとてもコスパの良いお部屋です。チェックイン時間は事前にホテルへ伝えてありましたのでスタッフの方はおりました。英語と韓国語の対応となります。英語でやりとりしましたが何となく！理解！笑っ注意事項てんこ盛りだった気がしますゴミ捨てセルフなどなど。
部屋はとても狭く隅から隅までベッドか敷き詰められおりましたが、２段ベットよりは良かったかと思います。スーツケースは出窓みたいな所に3人分どうにか置けたので通路？は確保出来ました。
チェックインして部屋に入ったらまずはエアコンつけて部屋を快適温度にしないといられません、のぼせそう！笑っ。外出する時はルームキーを専用差し込みより持ち出すと電気が切れます。だいたいのホテルはそうですが、なんとエアコンも切れます！www
びっくりする事だらけです。で、部屋のスリッパは破けており履けるか〜でした！笑っ因みにカードキーは１枚なので紛失注意。ホテルへ入るPWも失くさな様にスマホへ保存必須。
フロント以外はエアコンがオフ状態なので部屋から一歩出ると蒸し暑さと柔軟剤？のにおいがむ〜ん(´Д` )辛
日本人の多くの方？が韓国での楽しみのひとつとしてるモッパンは出来ません。部屋での食事禁止なうえ、なんと持ち込みしたお食事などを食べる共有スペースがとても狭くなんとエアコンオフ状態で洗濯乾燥機がまわっていて、むっしむし！柔軟剤？の匂いと暑さで共有スペースでも食べていられませんでした。部屋のシーツやバスタオル、タオル類は共有スペースにある洗濯乾燥機で洗われている為（実際、共有スペースの飲食するテーブルでそれらは従業員が畳んでいました）部屋のベッドのシーツは張りがなくシワシワで茶色になっており、タオル類も拭いた後臭いがし、持参したものを使用しました。やれやれ。
他の口コミにもありましたが部屋と部屋の壁がベニヤ板？と思うほどお隣の声や音はしっかり聞こえます。笑っ、なのでこちらも注意が必要ですね。
バストイレルームは不衛生さはさほど感じませんでした。もうこの辺でマヒしてるかもしれません笑っ。トイレは紙は流せませんが安いホテルなので我慢圏内です。シャワーの水圧はまぁまぁです。急に水になる事もありますが夏なのでまぁ問題無いです。シャワーするとトイレはビシャビシャになるのでその際はビニールなど（持参）をかぶせとくといいと思います。
部屋にはコンセントを刺す箇所は複数ありUSB直接させるコンセントもありました。ホテルのWi-Fiは繋げていませんがあるはずです。ドライヤー、電子ケトル、テレビ、エアコンはありますがティッシュはありませんので持参された方がいいです。洗面所にはコップと小さな石鹸がありました。歯ブラシはありません。シャンプー、リンス、ボディーソープはシャワールームに置いてありました。

総合的に日本人には向いていないかもしれませんが、周りの立地は最高です。ウルチュロ入口駅から直ぐで、明洞の繁華街です。近くにセブンイレブン他コンビニもありますし、オリーブヤングも直ぐ近くにあるので安心です。また同じビルには有名なチキン屋さんやらキンパ屋さんやらたくさん入っております。困る事はないです。マッサージサロン、美容皮膚科なども入ってます。一歩外へ出れば夜遅くまで屋台もお店も賑わっておりますので、小腹が空いて何度か繰り出しました。とても便利です。

またこのホテルに宿泊したいですかと聞かれたら、私は勘弁ですが。今思い出すと笑えます！(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

歯ブラシがなく、部屋での食事は禁止です。値段の割に清掃が△でしたが、アクセスも良いのでよいとおもいます。スタッフはいてもオートロックを開けてくれないので、キー番号をなくさないように気をつけて下さい。

The room picture is misleading. The room area turns out too small. The cleanness is poor. There is yellow dirt on the bed. This is a motel actually. The location is good if you don't mind all the above.

駅も近く明洞まで徒歩ですぐなので、立地は便利。バスローブや歯ブラシ、ティッシュがないので、寝るだけならコスパが良くていいと思うが、ホテル感はない。室内で食べ物を食べれない、アメニティが少ないなど、不便な点が多かったので、リピートはないかも。

明洞の中で便利で安かったが、声は筒抜けシャワー使うとトイレがびしょびしょになるタイプで英語も日本語も通じない。
サウナでお風呂を済ませて、荷物置き場だと思えば我慢できるレベル。

Perfect location, but not my favorite

Amazing location barely a minutes walk from all the shopping and streetfood in myeongdong but i had some stain on my bed and the walls were covered in big stains too. Everything else was fairly clean. The view was only of the windows of the building across from us but at least we had a big window! You couldn't eat in the room which felt a bit annoying but makes sense too. Couldn't use the tv after a certain time apparently... took a few days to figure it out so we just thought it didn't work at first. Also we could hear our neighbors very clearly. But it was kind of fair for the price and location. Overall i don't think it was bad but i don't think i will return either. We could take warm showers and sleep peacefully which was the important part haha.

地下鉄の最寄り駅が近いのがとても便利です。予約が宿泊の間近だったので思ったお部屋はとれず狭いお部屋でしたが、便利の良さが上回り、また利用したいと思いました。

3泊しました！
予約した後でチェックインの確認をしてくれたり、行く前から15時より前は誰も居ないと教えてくれていたので段取りできてよかった。
ロビーのイートコーナーでしか食べ物食べられません(部屋では何も食べられないよ)
でも基本外食なので気にしませんでした。
たまにお試しで買ったカップラーメンやアイスをロビーで食べてたけど、お湯の出し方がわからなくて困ってたらスタッフの人がスッとやってきて入れてくれた。
ロビーのコーヒーと水は飲み放題。ウォーターサーバなので、お湯も出ます。
コーヒーはアメリカンのソフトとストロングの2種類あった！
シャワーはお湯が出ます。よくある洗面台にシャワーがついてるパターンでトイレと一緒に浴びるやつ
でも、SPA行くから私はあんま気にしない。
ぶっきらぼうだけどみんな優しくて私は嫌いじゃない
何にもないけど安いし立地もいいから買い物に出るのも食べに行くのも全く困らない。
セキュリティは人がロビーに居ない時はロックかかってて滞在者のみがセキュリティキーで入るので安心です。
コンセントの変換器も受付で貸してくれます。
本当に寝に帰るだけの人には最高のホテルです。
騒音を書いてる人がいたけど、私は気になりませんでした。
隣の部屋の人が携帯をベットと壁の間に落としたのか、朝ずっとアラームの振動が響いてたけど…ホテルのせいではない(私早起きだし遊びに出たかったからこれも特に問題なし)
また行きますー！

Worst place to stay over all!! including hotel desk service staff was unfriendly, impolite, and not helpful. One thing good about this hotel is sound proof room. I will never use it again!
