Terrible hotel, worst ever

In all my years of travel, (50+) i have nevee checked out of a hotel becasue of the room, especially when there is no refund.
This should be a hostel not a hotel. Conditions of the room terrible. Stains on the ceiling, air-conditioning directly over one bed and makes noise like aeroplane, shower and toilet lead directly out to the bedroom, nedisde lamp hanging by a wire,

Our flight got delayed and we didn’t arrive until midnight. They were so kind to accommodate us well past their usual desk hours. I’d recommend sending them a message through the app to keep the lines of communication open. We also loved the spacious room and how close it was to many food options.

Friendly staffs…. Do not need to worry that you are not able to communicate they speak really well English. Hotel is located at foods Street. So if you are hungry.… no problem. City hall station is only 5 min walks away so really convenient. And most important there is no carpets layout on the floor so room smell fresh and clean. The is also a small pantry that you can make a cup of coffee and microwave that you can heat up foods. A small and comfy hotel 👍

The staffs for this hotel were great. Very easy to check in and out. Towels and trashcans were changed daily.

The only downside were that the room was a bit small and had no window or closet space. Not ideal for a family with many luggages.

Gem in the middle of Seoul

My stay at Hotel 8 Hours absolutely surpassed my expectations and was a fantastic experience. The front desk and cleaning staff were incredibly kind and considerate, and they always made sure I had plenty of towels, water, and any other necessities. I ended up extending my stay twice here and was was so thankful that they provided excellent service and the staff was genuinely caring and considerate towards those of us staying there. Thank you for a great experience!

일단 창문이 없고요, 처음 화장실 이용하는데 여자 머리카락이 남아 있어서 청소에 대해서 의심을 갖게 되었습니다. 그리고 방음이 잘 안되는 거 같습니다.

Nice design. Very helpful and friendly staff. Have the basics like water refill, coffee machine, kettle, etc. Housekeeping does a good job.

Only downside is that the rooms are not soundproof, so you may get some broad shouting at her man late at night or early morning. But since it's COVID there weren't that many guests so it has not been a huge problem.

I wasn't sure what to expect because of the price and general location. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The only slight problems were the bathroom smelled odd, and I saw some stains and hair on my bed. But it seemed clean, the facilities all worked, free water, convenient location, adequate space, good shampoo and body wash, and the lady working that day seemed kind! :)

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel 8 Hours. Water bottles are replenished in the fridge every day, and a hot and cold water dispenser is also available at the lounge area, along with snacks if you're feeling a bit peckish. The room was clean and minimalistic, and has everything you could possibly need. The location of the hotel is also great, just around 10-15 mins walk away from Myeongdong, which is near enough, yet not so close that it gets too noisy.

Beware that if you book here you might suddenly get kicked out. Imagine that you are checked into your room, unpacked, and are asked to move out the next day. Especially visiting a foreign country where you are supposed to be enjoying a vacation this is a disaster. I had no calling or SMS in Japan so it was difficult trying to seek help or find another place to stay. This is a likely scenario if you stay here. I would avoid it at all costs. Besides suddenly being kicked out onto the street and needing to find a new place there are two other concerns I would like to address.

First of all safety, the place is located in a dark alley off the main road so coming back at night is a safety concern. Second the WiFi is VERY POOR and constantly drops connection. There were many logging in issues and often times there was no internet convection even if you managed to connect to the WiFi. The internet is beyond slow and the signal is weak. Dare I say dial up would be faster. I’m not kidding.
Lastly, the room can be quite loud. I could hear people going up and down the stairs throughout the day and night. You can also hear the people above you. Stairs also get wet and slippery. This is especially dangerous for children or elderly but is also a concern for adults.

A decent stay with nice decor

Overall quite pleasant, although one of the male staff was pretty unhelpful. The housekeeping mostly is for the bathroom, as throughout our stay of 8 days and 7 night, the beds were only made once after a week had passed. The partition between the shower and the toilet is fairly translucent as it is made of frosted glass. Fortunately it was just three girls sharing the room, I can imagine it would be highly horrifying if the room was shared between a group with different genders. The laundry service is free, and the hotel provides laundry powder. While there is no breakfast provided, the hotel does provide cup noodles and chopsticks, and there is a microwave in the common area for guests to heat up the food bought from the various convenience stores located downstairs.

While we would come back for a short stay due to its highly convenient location, I would consider another hotel for a stay longer than a week.

The room is small, as you can see from the pictures, but comfortable after a day of sight-seeing. There are many affordable small restaurants nearby. TV works fine, and there was an HDMI port on the TV in my room, so you can connect to it with and HDMI or MHL cable.

Nice hotel in general

Rooms are not sound proof, hence able to hear other nearby rooms. Bed is clean and comfortable. Near city hall station but restaurants & pubs nearby can make it dangerous to go back at night if alone. Room is surprisingly spacious giving the price paid. There is elevator to 2 floor. Worn out towels.

Overall pleasant experience. Quite impressed that the staff speaks mandarin and was helpful in giving directions to the nearby attractions. Only thing to improve is the drainage of the bathroom. The water flow was slow and filled up the bathroom pretty fast. Other than that very cozy and neat hotel. Was a little hard to find originally.

Location of the hotel is A+. Close to subway and plenty of busses including airport express bus. About 10 minutes walk to the myeongdong shopping district. Neighbourhood was lively with restautants and a convenience store next door.
Hotel very new and clean and free laundry was very handy. The only thing was the hotel smelt a bit like fish? I think it's the cleaning agent they use because everything else is very clean. Overall excellent experience and would stay again

Great hotel for family vacation

Overall it was a pleasant stay for me and my family. Location is perfect for shopping and dining. Our room was cleaned everyday and the bath room and beds are in fine condition. Although I had an unpleasant experience with one staff who laughed when I asked for 3 extra pillows, I would say the biggest asset of the hotel is the Manager. He was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I will definitely go back to this hotel with my family!

Hotel is a little difficult to find

I was surprised at how small and cramped the triple room was. While the room was clean, the room only had space for 3 beds, and a small cupboard for us to hang our clothes plus a small dresser / shelf, and that was it. We had to move to the common area for hot and cold water, and had barely enough space to move around once we opened our luggage.

One good thing about the hotel was that the shower cubicle and toilet were separated, so the three of us didn't have to wait for one another to use the toilet.

The location of the hotel is pretty near City Hall Station, but it is tucked away on the second floor of a small building, so my friends and I had difficulties finding it at first. It's also located amongst some restaurants, so be careful of the somewhat rowdy night crowd if you're female.

Nice new hotel located on a side street in one of the major shopping districts of Seoul. A quiet place to stay. Situated within very short walking distance from airport limousine bus stop and at least 2 subway stations. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Free laundry facilities, with washing powder provided. Rooms were clean and neat. Beds were very firm. Overall, a pleasant stay. I would stay there again! :)

Hotel 8 House is GREAT! Highly recommended!

It is a nice hotel. Clean, Comfort, Convenient. Many restaurants are downstairs.
The only improvement is to have shelves at bathroom for placing the clothes. No place or hook to put my clothes and towels and I have to use my luggage to outside the bathroom and place my clothes and towels on luggage.

The hotel is near Namdaemun Market, and around 10-15 minutes walking distance to Myeondong, which makes the location quite good for shopping. The hotel was opened for about 1 year, and the condition is quite new. The price is very reasonable.

Great Location Modern Hotel

One of the best hotels we stayed in Korea. Our room was spacious, so the 3 of us were able to open our suitcases and still have plenty of room to move around. Also love this hotel because it is very close to Myeongdong, Namdaemun Market and N Seoul Tower. The hotel is located close to the City Hall station. The owner of the hotel and his staffs were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here for our next trip in Seoul.

One suggestion for the hotel owner is to have a vanity table in the room, so people can sit on a chair to do their makeup instead of standing in the bathroom.

Experience in hotel 8 hours

No floor mat after exiting from the shower. The wash basin is low for me (1.7m height), and mostly got to bend down until very low to wash face. Always a smell in the toilet, although the toilet fan was already running. Makeup room will change of towels only. Nothing else. No refill of toiletries (unless you specifically request for it). Bed wasn't even arranged. Floors and toilet wasn't even cleaned for makeup room.

フロントの人は親切でとても対応良かったのです。４人部屋(ベッド4)で予約した部屋ですが、部屋に入ると思ってたより狭く、お風呂・トイレはスリガラスで上と下はガラスなので見えます。シャワー室とトイレは別れてるけどシャワーしてたら隙間から水が漏れてトイレに侵入してくるのでタオルでおさえてました。2泊で予約してたのにトイレットペーパーとティッシュが少ししかなかった。フロントさんに言えばすぐ対応してくれましたが事前に準備しててほしかった。壁に穴があいてる所があった。
壁が薄くて隣の音が聞こえる。ホテルの場所はどこに行くのも便利で良かった点です。寝るだけにはいいですが、ゆっくりはできなかったかな〜。フロントさん、色々ご対応ありがとうございました。

シーツの生地が冷えやすいのか、冬は暖房つけてても少し寒いです🥶トイレはウォシュレットがついてましたが、戻りません（使用する度に手で戻しました。壊れてるのかな？）シャワーの強さはいいですが温度管理が難しく
間違えたら大火傷します。隣人がうるさい、壁が薄いなどの口コミが多数ありましたが、音はほとんど何も気になりませんでした！
近くのナッコッセ（たこ、コプチャン、エビ）のお店が最高に美味しかったです😋
明洞、南大門、市庁駅、ソウル駅アクセスが最高です❤︎ホテルのスタッフさん達はとても優しかったですし、お部屋は少し狭かったですかとても清潔感ありました！ホテルの外はタバコなどでやや汚いです。
コンビニも食べ物屋も沢山あって立地は完璧です💯💮

明洞通りまで歩いていけるアクセスの良さ&日本語が喋れるスタッフがいて良かったです。

フロントや廊下は綺麗だが、部屋は古めで狭い。
窓際に隙間風が入るので窓際のベッドは寒いかもしれない。

心配してた隣の部屋の騒音は聞こえませんでした。値段を考えれば妥当な金額だと思う。シャワーを浴びて寝るだけでいいと思うなら十分なのでまた泊まりたい。

スタッフの方は親切でした。日本語も半分くらい通じました！困ったことや送迎相談などもしていただけました！繁華街ど真ん中です。地下鉄もすぐ！が繁華街ど真ん中なので時間によって車の混雑がすごいです。シャルルバスなどを利用するばあい所要時間に注意です。少し古くてコンパクトですが
コスメ考えるととてもいいとおもいます。十分です！

１人で泊まるには十分な広さもある。
フロント対応もスムーズで、日本語の説明もあり分かりやすかったです。
冷蔵庫に水のペットボトルもサービスで置いてありました。

部屋は可もなく不可もなくでした！泊まるだけなら問題なし！シャワーや水回りは綺麗でした。トイレの臭い？下水の臭いは気になったのと、壁が薄いから声とかは結構聞こえますね。一部の部屋にうるさいと張り紙が日本語で付いてました笑電子レンジがないのも欠点でした（涙）総合的には悪くないホテルです！

立地よし。ツインルームでバスタブないものの、シャワブースとトイレ&洗面台が区切られている、トイレットペーパーも大量でなければ流せる所がよい。値段も安く、何処へ行くにも便利でした。荷物おく移動式丸椅子などあればシャワーの時より快適です。

バスルームの下水の臭いがひどかった。スタッフに伝えたが、ホテル全体の下水管から来る臭いなので対応ができない、とのことだった。
また隣の部屋や上の部屋の音がかなり響き、朝もゆっくりできなかった。周辺エリアはあまり綺麗とは言えない

どの国もホテル代が上がっているので仕方ないですが木金土曜の2泊3日でツイン、2万円ほどでした。1泊1万円ほど。3ヶ月前くらいに予約。
リピしたいご飯屋さんパン屋さんなどがあるので、他のホテルに滞在しても再度こちらの駅に来ると思います。
でも、1万円のホテルではない。二段に交差し2つのベットで、すれ違えないくらい狭いです。スーツケースはギリ広げられます。
狭さはいいとして、鏡が洗面所にしかない、コンセントもフラフラしていてコツが必要で１箇所しかない。結構な時間下水臭い時がある。トイレドアもしっかり閉まらなく、部屋自体が狭いので、親子だから気にしませんが友人同士ならトイレも行けない感じです。
シャンプートリートメントあり。使用しませんでした。ボディーソープは泡立たなく、嫌な香りでした。
壁が薄いのはクチコミで知っていましたが、本当にこそこそ話さないと聞こえます。隣の部屋の咳や3つくらい隣の話し声も聞こえます。
3人組の日本人女子が夜中まで大声で話したり大笑いしたりで、流石に同じ日本人として恥ずかしく夜中2時に注意しに行きました。話は変わりますがなぜ3人以上のグループには1人は自分の声のボリュームをコントロールできなく、そしてその仲間も注意しないのでしょうか。
スタッフはいつも笑顔で親切でした。
7000円代だったらリピに悩む感じですが、倍払っても普通のホテルにしようと思った旅でした。
でも本当にスタッフは良い人です。

Et lite sjokk for oss som hadde bodd en del finere de foregående ukene. Standarden er 3 stjerner London og ikke mye å skryte av. Sengene er harde og generelt anbefaler vi ikke familier å bo her. Men det er helt ok og veldig sentralt og det funket greit nok i 4 dager på slutten av vårt opphold.

飲食店街のような所にあるので
ご飯に困りませんし、
徒歩で近い範囲に駅があるので交通の便も
良かったです。
ただ窓が無いので自然光は入らないのと
シャワーの水圧が少し弱かったです。
逆に問題点はその2つくらいで
フロントの方も親切でしたし、
後はすごく良かったので
素泊まりで泊まるには最適な所でした。
また利用したいです！

市庁駅7番出口を出て、横断歩道を渡り、左に曲がりドーナツ屋さんを右、真っ直ぐ行くと、左手のコンビニがあり、そこを左に入ると、目の前にホテルの看板が見えます。雑居ビルの2階がホテルです。
壁が薄く、隣の部屋の話し声が聞こえますが、シャワーの水圧、温度は快適で、ベッドも寝心地良かったです。トイレとシャワーが別のは、有り難いですが、脱衣所がないです。トイレの蓋の上に着替えを置き、シャワーが終わったら、トイレ&洗面所に移動して着替える感じ。
毎日お水のペットボトルが冷蔵庫に入ってて、タオルも交換してくれます。
明洞と南大門から歩けるので、場所も便利。
トータル的には、このホテルにして良かったなと満足でした。何よりホテルの人が親切、ありがとうございました。

ホテルに行くまでの道が飲み屋街で夜は不安ですが逆に言うと遅くまで飲食する場所には困りません。
トイレが少し下水臭い。シャワーとトイレが別なので選びましたが、シャワーのお湯がドアにあたる場所が悪いと隙間から外に漏れます。
滞在中、ベッドメイキングや部屋掃除はしてくれません。
でも基本的には満足です。ありがとうございました。

フロントの方の説明が英語ですが丁寧でした。
部屋は2泊しましたが掃除も入ってくれて特に問題無かったです。

強いて言えば、コンセント口が少ない点とシャワーの水圧が自分には弱かった点でしょうか。

明洞、南大門も徒歩圏内で市庁駅に近く便利です。

飲み屋街の雑居ビルの２階に入居していて場所がわかりにくいです。タクシーに場所を伝えても行けないと思います。部屋は狭く、簡素な感じです。ただ寝るだけなら良いと思いますが滞在を楽しむならやめたほうがいいです。ホテルのチェックイン対応はスムーズでした。他のサービスは特にありません。評価が高いので宿泊しましたが３星や８点と言うのは過大です。
