This very elegant and classy hotel is in the heart of seoul and I would definitely stay here again. Close to major attractions, great nightlife and tour pick ups. The bed was so comfortable. I had an issue and it was taken care of immediately. The only thing I would say was that the breakfast is very pricey and you don’t need it unless you really want to go all out

Whoa. This place blew all my expectations away, especially for the price. It was good enough that next time, during my second trip to Seoul, I don't think I'll bother looking for another place. The room is absolutely fantastic with great ameities and finishes. The bed is comfortable and bathroom spacious. While we didn't have breakfast, we did grab a drink at the absolutely beautiful bar. The entire property is dazzling to the eye and I cannot wait to stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at L’Escape for the Seoul leg of our honeymoon, and it was our first true luxury hotel experience on the trip. The hotel itself is stunning — European-inspired elegance, immaculate rooms, beautiful design in every detail. Check-in was flawless: warm staff, immediate luggage assistance, and a polished welcome that made us feel special after a long travel day.
The location is the real star. Right in Myeongdong, steps from the metro, Seoul Tower, street food, shopping, and restaurants. Best location of our entire multi-country honeymoon — we could walk out the door and be in the heart of everything. For exploring Seoul, you can’t do better.
The hotel also sent a lovely dessert and handwritten postcard to our room wishing us a happy honeymoon — a genuinely thoughtful touch.
Where it fell short: We tried booking breakfast for every morning and were told the restaurant was overbooked, despite booking 2+ months in advance and explaining it was our honeymoon. Being turned away from your own hotel’s restaurant at this price point was disappointing. Check-out was also underwhelming — no luggage help, no warm send-off, a stark contrast to arrival. Additionally, in-hotel pricing felt excessive: airport transfers were 3x what we paid via DiDi, and drinks were so overpriced we chose to go out instead.
Beautiful hotel, unbeatable location, but the breakfast situation, inconsistent service, and inflated pricing kept it from perfection. Highly recommended.

The room was really nice for the style and a very comfy bed. The main thing that put it down for us was that the staff just weren’t as friendly as the first place we stayed. When we checked in she just felt very cold and not friendly at all. She spoke good English but just seemed like she didn’t want to be there. The cleaners were great and made the room nice and tidy everyday. Room service was pretty pricey so we avoided that. We loved the area- great location! The hotel corridors reminded us of the shining and it had a very creepy feel there. If you’re planning on staying for more than 3-4 nights here then I’d recommend trying somewhere else. But location wise it’s great and the bed is super comfy.

Exceeded my expectations in so many ways.

Upon check-in, they upgraded my room for free and the Atelier Junior Suite was so beautiful and spacious. Really made for a relaxing stay.

The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is spic and span, and the staff spoke great English and were always so helpful.

Location-wise, Hoehyeon Station is just a few steps away, so it was very convenient.

Would definitely stay here again next time.

Loved the breakfast buffet, the afternoon tea, and the entire staff were all amazing and top tier. The location of the hotel was excellent for walkable shopping and food options, but was also across the street from the subway if you want to visit other districts. There was no feeling of chaos or hectic crowds, this hotel felt like a cozy and luxurious second home, the gym and spa were very convenient, and once again the staff were all so great across the board. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Seoul!

I was admittedly unaware this was an "elite" hotel in terms of amenities offered, but everything about this place is excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful... they have a waiting area prior to check in and promptly find you when the room is ready.

The mattresses are absolutely divine, it was easily the best sleep I have had in months. It is close to multiple train stops, and its central location in Myeongdong put it almost equidistant from the night market and the Namdaemun markets. I was also able to easily access the DMZ Tour I had signed up for via a short walk.

Breakfast mediocre. Machine coffee only, and surprisingly only orange slices and grapes were the only fruit available. One of the poorest breakfasts I’ve seen at a supposedly five star hotel.
Further, the room aircon was disabled and I rang them to ask and the response was they have overridden it with heating. My room was 25.5 Celsius. Baffling.
The shower was also poor pressure and very temperamental so getting it to not be super hold or super cold was a challenge.

As A very experienced and frequent traveler I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences. The room was spacious and well appointed with luxurious bedding. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with warm fresh croissants arriving straight from the oven along with every other imaginable choice. We loved the staff who always wanted to be helpful. And the location could not have been better for first time Seoul visit. I hope to return.

Clean and spacious, Victorian themed room. Bed is soft, well cleaned and maintained by the staff. Service is excellent, I used their laundry services, called their staff as the bathtub couldn't drain. They responded fast to my requests. I also twisted my knee in a theme park. Concierge managed to find a nearby clinic for me to get treatment. Breakfast at the hotel is tasty with a big spread of different food. I love the french toast and dim sum. I did try their chinese restaurant and tea salon as well. Surrounding area is also located near to subway and lots of bus stops. convenient location, a great stay. Will definitely stay here again.

One of the Most fabulous hotel stay of our lives. This hotel is like living in a private salon in France. Only bad thing we could find was that you couldn’t get your usual cocktail or drink. They had a weird drink menu & you couldn’t buy a straight up glass of wine or bourbon. But steps outside back door is a 14 story indoor mall w restaurants. You’ll find you can really play in this almost connected building. What a fine.

The room was very spacious and the interior is very luxurious. The breakfast was nice and the 'happy hour' was very generous.

However given he cost and star level of the hotel I would expect improved amenities. The towels were a little small and there was only one set of sockets by the bed to charge devices. Despite two TVs in the room there was no English speaking channels or access to apps. Compared to other hotels at this levels it was slightly lacking.

We really enjoyed our stay at L’Escape Hotel. We upgraded our room to a suite which was spacious and
well appointed. The club floor amenities included a buffet breakfast that had a wide array of options to select from.
including both Asian and western inspired choices as well as made to order
dishes. There was also a snack time offering and a happy
hour which included premium beverages and a plentiful
choice of food options. The staff in the club lounge were terrific, always with a smiling face and a warm welcome.
The arranged transportation by the hotel to and from the airport was excellent. We look forward to returning on our next visit.

Paris meets technology. “Hey, Genie” will open curtains, turn off lights and lots more. I could request extra water (free), towels, vanity kit, sewing kit and more. This hotel features lots of French decorations. Even elevator announcements were in Korean and French. This hotel offered super quiet nights ever. I love the location since it’s near Namdaemoon market 남대문, Myoung dong and unseating all within walking distance. Hotel maybe small but it offered and located in perfect place for my trip. Also staff are friendly and I can just push a bottom for make room. It can’t get any better than that. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to visit myoung dong to stay here.

Huge room with really nice decor. The happy hour and breakfast provided as part of lounge access was excellent, worth the extra cost. Service was great, I asked for iron and ironing board and they were at my door in a couple minutes. The only down side is that they had this huge bath tub but didn’t provide any soup or bath salts. The only soap was mounted to the wall in the shower. The gym was not huge but had enough equipment to get a good workout.

Fantastic hotel! I'ts French rather than Korean themed but the decor is so nice and they have the fancy toilets with the heated seats etc. We had robes, slippers etc. We used the swish cocktail bar but can't comment on the food. The location was a straight, short walk to our tour pick ups near Myeongdong station and close to the street food market. Don't waste your money on transfers, we booked a taxi to the cruise terminal and we had a really posh car for £25, granted traffic wasn't too bad

I gave a 4 for staff as I did not find one of the ladies in the concierge team as helpful and I don’t want to insunuate she does that because we were blacks. I have seen her smilie and chatty with two ladies from the united state but whenever she is on the stand and myself or my friends go to her she sounds cold and impatient that she one time called a cab to take us to a wrong place due to not patiently listening to what we wanted to ask.
It’s a beautiful hotel, good location to luxury shopping and traditional markets. I would stay again if I ever visit Seoul

2nd time staying at this property. Love the breakfasts here.
However the cleaning staff needs to be more cautious about # of towels required in the room. The genie system was also difficult to use — nothing worked apart from the curtains. Shower room also leaked easily.

Would also be better if it could be possible to switch off one side of the bedside lamps rather than always have both on / off simultaneously.
