Parking was easy. Room was delightful. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Loved the wine and cheese social hour. My only complaint is I like a very firm mattress, and ours wasn’t, but I realize you can’t cater that to everyone’s personal tastes.

This is an old hotel but we stayed in a nice room with a hot tub on the upper level. The daily breakfast and wine tasting was delicious. The bed was super comfortable!
The location is convenient and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops.

Breakfast was amazing and so was the evening reception. Hotel is so quaint, comfortable and such friendly service! Just steps to all downtown shops and restaurants. Several restaurants had live music. Cedarburg is a little hidden treasure everyone should experience, and Port Washington WI is nearby and can be enjoyed in a weekend getaway!

I would 150% stay again. Staff was friendly and bedding / pillows comfortable. You can always tell when the towels and toilette paper you’re going to have good quality lol. This place if your in the area, in my opinion is the only option. Historic and quaint.

The location is perfect, super convenient for shopping, close to restaurants and bars. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was super kind with us.
We had some problems with the bathtub and we could hear people talking in the next bedroom that made it a little bit hard to sleep.

First time staying at this inn and had a great experience. I found this historical property to be a cool and unique inn located in an optimal location for walking around downtown. The staff were friendly and provided exceptional service. The evening wine and cheese and morning breakfast included with the stay made for an even more memorable experience. We stayed at the Washington House Inn for our 31st anniversary and had a wonderful time. We checked in a bit early and had time to attend the wine and cheese social in the gathering room. Our room was very clean and welcoming. Every detail was thought of by the staff. I was even able to get hot tea at 10 pm. There was always an Inn Keeper in the office to help with any questions. The Inn is right in the heart of downtown Cedarburg, which makes it the ideal spot for walking, biking, or a shopping spree.

Lodging with Character in Cedarburg

This is a characterful historic place in the center of beautiful Cedarburg. I had some trepidation that it would be too \"historic\", but it was extremely comfortable and perfect for what I wanted. The room was snug, understandable given the historic structure, but the shower was huge and spotless. The breakfast was \"continental\", but with great bakery and quiche in a lovely parlor front room. So much nicer than a typical \"chain\" hotel.

This is an incredible hotel. The decor sets the tone of turn of the century charm. 108 - The room was spacious with two sitting chairs and a fireplace. The bed was comfortable. For us shorties, a little hard to get into though. We missed the social hour with wine and cheese, but will definitely catch it next time. The breakfast is called continental but such a wide variety of items, including an egg and bacon dish. Located right in the heart of downtown. Lots of restaurants and shops. I’ll be telling everyone to stay here when in the Milwaukee area.

This was a lovely b&b, only problem was that I don't like high beds. Also, I didn't care for the old-fashioned aesthetic in the room, which translates to browns and greens, including in the brown shower. The tv could be higher up in its cabinet. But the wine and cheese in the evening and the breakfast in the morning were sensationally delicious, especially the breakfast pastries.

The best choice for downtown Cedarburg

This is an excellent choice when visiting Cedarburg. It is in the center of town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decent size. Beds are full of blankets and pillows and are very comfy. Good sized bathroom in our room with premium soaps/shampoos. Our tub had grab bars all over.
Breakfast is included, eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, bagels etc. they do have some home baked items which people really enjoyed,(not things that I normally eat.) Very nice sized dining area with views of the front street.
I would stay there again whenever I’m in the area.

The Hotel was just beautiful & historic. We loved our room - the brick wall made it rustic & cozy, yet the hotel had that lovely Victorian feel. The social hour wine, cheese, snacks was our favorite part. We played Scrabble by the fire as we sipped our delicious wine & tried the different cheese spreads. There were about 5 different wines to try, so our own little wine tasting. Breakfast was delicious, the perfect mix of fruit cups, quiches & homemade breakfast treats. The bed & linens were extremely comfortable & luxurious. The staff was very nice to talk to, as well. Wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you for our romantic little getaway before the holiday craze is upon us!

Worth a one night stay

It was a lovely, historical place to stay. Easy check in, friendly staff, enough towels, warm bedding, loved the fireplace and ambience. Breakfast was delicious. Two things to keep in mind if you’re looking to stay: the room was cold (stayed end of Oct) as it was stone, no insulation and windows single panes. (Bedding cozy, so no worries sleeping.) Also, bright and noisy in room at night bc of street lights peaking through blinds and night life, so bring noise machine and eye mask.

As far as Cedarburg goes, one day and an overnight was plenty for my husband and me to see and shop where we wanted, have breakfast and coffee the next morning and feel we didn’t miss anything.

What more can you say about this location? The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was delicious. They had an amazing gluten free option. I don’t think we’ve ever had a better stay anywhere. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. The location is great for downtown Cedarburg shopping and eating. I can’t say enough about our stay ❤️

It was a cute place, not what we expected though. It was a very small room and the walls were paper thin so we felt we had to be very quiet. Also, the main demographic here felt like 50-70 which is fine but again felt the need to be super quiet. It just didn’t fit what we like.
