This is a cute hotel with nice amenities. My room on this stay however was cold, dark (three pot lights and two bedside lights only) with zero view. The layout was odd as well. Truly, this should not be a room.
Nicole
Tout était parfait.Le lit était divinement confortable. Le personnel Courtois et professionnel.La chambre était très propre.
Joey

Poor service. 1. Waited one hour to be served dinner. 2 then it came cold. The order was incomplete. Restaurant was very understaffed. 3. Given no information regarding access to facilities, like the spa, upon arrival. 4. Many things did not work. Tv did not work. Bathroom sink backed up and didn’t drain. 5. When we asked for help from the front desk the people were very unfriendly.
The plain truth. Property looks pretty but nothing works. Staff and service were poor.
I would definitely not recommend this place.

It was a beautiful hotel. My room was clean and nice. The staffs speaks perfect English.

Lovely hotel, room was large and comfortable. Reason I didn't give it 5/5 overall is we loved the patio, but we had to wipe the table and chairs down as it had a lot of spiderwebs and dirt. But we used the patio daily and loved looking onto the gardens.
Emma
Very charming and interesting place to stay.
The bed linens weren’t very comfortable with some staining and discolouration. But the rooms and the property were very nice, more of a destination for adults as the amenities are smaller and the whole place
Is very calm and quiet.
We really appreciated the kitchenette, and being able to make our own meals.
The town around was also very charming.
A great place to stop travelling home to Ontario from Fredricton.
Will be back!

Hotel Montfort is the best kept secret in Quebec. My husband and I loved it so much we extended our stay. The staff is so lovely and helpful. The amenities are awesome. I could easily spend a week here and never run out of things to do. The rooms are spacious and clean. The gardens are beautiful. There are so many places to find a quiet spot to relax. If this hotel was in a more central area, it would easily be double the price. Oh and the restaurant and cafe are both deliciohs and very reasonably priced. Special thanks to Martine who took such good care of us on arrival. We will be back and we’ll recommend this hotel to all of our friends.

A well located property nearby the river, which offers services including breakfast, Spa, lunch/dinner. Room is spacious and clean, with a Spa hot tub. Great and serving staff!

Emplacement agréable, facilité de stationnement

Great staff. Comfy beds!

this was a nice hotel

Nice place. Somewhat far away from everything. Yey, if you have need to stay close to the College NDA, or police academy, this hotel is your place! I liked that the rooms were hard flooring; they usually place you not in the old building that is on the images, but in the new part behind it. No elevators, be careful if you need them. I would stay again and will stay again there.

Peaceful and comfy beds

Liked this place enough to make a return visit. Beautiful grounds, comfortable room, good amenities and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more.

This is an odd hotel positioned between a hospital and rehab centers. Our room was very nice, with high ceilings and a window that could be opened to hear the fountain in front of the main entrance. The breakfast was very mediocre for the price, and seemed almost identical to the free breakfast we recently had at a Holiday Inn. The hotel was very clean, but the lobby needs a radical redesign, as it is poorly appointed and is not a good representation of the rest of the experience.

Room was very clean and cozy

This hotel is truly hidden gem. I’ve never seen a hotel this well maintain. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly during check-in. Everyone was very happy to be there and happy that we were there as guests. This is the type of hotel that have staff that make you feel like you’re a special guest. The pool, restaurant, and rooms were all very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to any guests in the area as an experience if we had longer, we would make a day of it and enjoy the spa and amenities There’s also a really great hike through a wetland a couple miles down the road that I highly recommend.

The inly bad side... noise. The insolation beetween room is poor.

Front desk staff very kind
Caroline
Andrea
The pool is amazing. The hot tub was out of order. There is no ramp to get heavy bags in. Very animal friendly. They set up an orthopedic dog bed with goodie bag with organic dog cookies, poop bags and bandana!
Patricia
Amazing warm good looking hotel with comfy rooms. We rented a total of 14 rooms for our wedding and they did their best to coordonnate the whole experience for everyone. The court is amazing! Good looking. We took many photos there.
Daniel

Pool and hit tub were old, there were some marks on the surface and weren't clean.
We arrived 10 min earlier than check-in time and were waited almost half an hour to get our room ready.
Beside that, hotel overall seems quite and clean.

Ken
Peaceful, great scenery and even better service. The restaurant was beyond compare

Last year when we stayed at Hotel Montfort we gave a higher rating. We had a room in the newer area. This time we had a room in the old part of the hotel. The room was okay at best. Clean and comfortable beds. But the carpet was old and stained. The bathroom was updated but so small that when you sat on the toilet the toilet tissue was knocked of the holder. The shower was in a small deep bathtub. The temperature controls did not work and the room was quite hot. Lovely common areas. I recommend staying here if you can get a room in the newer section.

Belle adresse, bien qu’un peu dispendieux. Service excellent. Piscines intérieures appréciées.
Emily
Fast and easy check in, and the staff spoke English which was a bonus. The room is a nice size and clean. Hotel has nice amentities like a rooftop hot tub.
Ingrid
A beautiful site and lovely hotel. LOVE that the hotel is dog-friendly! My only small complaint is the amount of noise from the wedding that lasted most of the night. Understandable but maybe not at 2am?
But otherwise a perfect stay. Gorgeous grounds. We hope to return!

One night on short vacation through Quebec along St Lawrence River. GREAT place. Excellent service from front desk to restaurant. We don’t speak French and staff in both areas were VERY accommodating. Would DEFINITELY recommend ❤️

Wow. Just wow. Incredible staff. Delicious food. Great location. Wonderful grounds. Amazing facilities. The rooftop hot tub at night was amazing. Highly recommend. And I will be back.

Needs new air con
Nice looking hotel from the outside and a lovely setting. However inside it is a bit dated and could do with some maintenance to bring it back to grandeur. Corridors felt dark and gloomy and it was quite a maze to find reception and room.
Pool is small and again a little tired.
On arrival tasked if we wanted dinner which we replied yes - then told the restaurant was shut. Would have been good to be told in pre communication as the hotel is not walking distance to anything else.
Garden room was nice with doors leading outside. Patio was unswept.
The air con was noisy like an aircraft taking off, had to turn it off for any chance of sleep. Was then v hot. The fridge was just as noisy and had to be turned off too.
Was asked to give a precise time if we wanted breakfast so didn’t bother.

Front desk and management. No empathy. No flexibility.
Erinn
We loved this hotel and property! Lovely, clean and spacious. Our room was comfortable and quiet and my family loved the pool. I did like that there was a restaurant on site but we got stuck in traffic and missed the restaurant's dining hours for dinner; the only option was a sandwiches from a grocery store in the small town nearby. Breakfast was also an additional charge - so we opted to stop on our way out of town. It was a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay again, but for a spa weekend, not a family trip. Recommended!
G Scott
