Lovely area, the grounds are stunning. Staff welcoming one in particular a barman from New Zealand very friendly and helped us enjoy our drink and meal in the bar.
The room was exceptional, comfy bed and chairs, spacious, lovely royal style carpet, even a little balcony. Shower gel and Shampoo top class.

Arrived in our room, shower has a big crack in the shower tray. Swimming pool/spa area very tired looking, sky light roof filthy with algae and hole/ pant peeling off the walls. Ceilings dirty and over all cleanliness of the pool area not great. Definitely nothing like the photos. Breakfast ok but sausages were under cooked. Would I stay here again.. definitely not disappointed as it was a birthday trip away

Scrambled eggs were bland and the portion size of salmon was really small. The quality of the full English was that of an average buffet, but it’s not a buffet breakfast and the portion size is small. It’s a nice hotel and I expected a better breakfast.

None of our questions and requests were of any problem to the staff, to which they responded promptly and professionally. The room was beautifully presented and the bathroom huge with separate walk-in shower and bath. As we had 3 members of the family in different rooms, we quickly got around the problem by using the free wifi, which was excellent throughout the hotel and conference facility. Had this anomaly been highlighted on check-in, our missed texts and calls could have avoided.

The hotel is very tired which I can cope with but sadly it's also not too clean. Spa area was very dirty with ingrained dirt on swimming pool tiles and slimy walls in shower cubicles. The rooms are large and beds comfortable but again, cleaning wasn't very diligent.
Breakfast needs attention. Bullet hard poached egg and tough overcooked bacon although I think these issues are partially caused by the very hot serving plates.

We were not warned that a Christmas market was taking place during our stay so utter chaos!
The room size was nice but tired, worn and dated decor food was good, both dinner and breakfast. (Be warned the plates at breakfasts dangerously hot!)
Overall staff seemed a bit disinterested, other than th breakfast staff who were consistently happy and chirpy.
The entire needs a thorough cleaning, dirty windows, stained carpets everywhere , marks on walls, bathroom sealant mouldy. And over all rather dated.

Pool has areas of green on the tiles, bins not emptied, cold poolside showers no shampoo in the changing room showers, under the sauna benches filthy (black/muddy) dirty sinks. the room had dust on rails as never cleaned properly. The breakfast glad I never had it on both nights. - for a full breakfast was given half a tomato 1/2 or small tin of beans one mushroom - talk about cheapskate worst than a typical premier inn breakfast I ever had in my life - and to top it all up it was cold - coffee was machine coffee absolutely ridiculous could not even take more than one sipp.. what kind of hotel is this , they marketed it well with nice green picture of outside and location but inside the service food was absolute dismal -never again.

Spa area needs a very good clean, marks on walls, broken handle in steam room. More staff needed in bar area as tables were not cleared! Golf course looked nice. Plenty of free parking.

The hotel is looking quite tired . Which is fine is everything else is good but sadly the Food was very poor and very overpriced . And the Bar was understaffed so queues most the time and the Prices where ridiculous. Vodka and coke over £10 . Pint of beer £7 . Guinness £9 . We were a medium size group and decided as a that the overpriced drinks and poor service and poor food would be the reason we would not return despite the Golf course being superb .

It was meant to be a special getaway, I booked the suite for me and my girlfriend as I was proposing and asked for them to do something in the room but it never happened, the room was clean but loads of dust on the lamps, the room was spacious and great value and so was the food and drinks, for a weekend spa break it’s perfect but if you want anything more I wouldn’t recommend it as I was so excited to see my finances face bit to walk in to a normal suite. The ladies on reception did apologise but no good will gesture from the hotel for the mistake

Lovely setting, rooms a little tired, furniture worn, but clean. Spa showers are a joke, more water leaks from fittings than from the shower head. Bar area for bar food full /busy with golfers - so impossible to sit and eat here, but there is a main restaurant. Staff very friendly.

Great location and staff very helpful and friendly. There was a wedding happening whislt we stayed there and apart from seeing the bride and groom doing their photos we didnt even know a wedding was happening. Nice countryside walk into Thame as well.
If i had to find issues then the room could have done with some complimentary water and dressing gowns though which was a bit of a surprise considering we were in a suite and the cost of it. Car park is a bit of a walk if its raining. However those little things didnt ruin a great 2 night stay!

Great accommodation beautiful place. We checked in after 6pm and the front desk staff was lovely guided to our room and told us what was around. We had informed the hotel it was our anniversary and they had beautifully decorated our room. We managed to go to the pool, sauna, jaccuzi and steam room the following morning of our stay which was amazing! It was quiet and wonderful experience. Would definitely come bacj again!

Nice stay with some minor flaws
Clean and nice looking hotel especially the restaurant overlooking the lake area. The room was nice enough and clean but our beds were not set up as a double so they had to come and change it. This was awkward as I came back to the room 2 hours later and the staff was still changing the bed. Bedding nice and soft but the mattress is hard. The bathroom was nice on first look but the tiles had a big crack in it which had been patched up which made the bathroom not look so good, the shower wasn’t the best.
Food was really nice in the restaurant and the staff in there were very polite and professional. It is pricey and there is a service charge.

Another lovely stay at this hotel. Good toddler amenities with cot and highchair available. Would possibly look at getting nee highchairs as both we gad were torn and trays were not cleanest.

The hotel and golf club is a beautiful building set back from the road by some distance leading to a very peaceful and quiet stay.
The room I had was a classical style, large, and included a small outside terrace looking into the central courtyard. Tea and coffee facilities available but no bottled water.
Breakfast was beautifully cooked, and good continental options available too. Really nice orange juice!!
