Good value for money if you want a no-frills stay. The beds are quite comfy, there's a small TV and tea/coffee in the room. The shared bathroom is okay. It's a little way out of High Wycombe area but there isn't much else available at this price

For the cost this is an excellent motel. At £35/night for a single room it is a third of the cost of other budget hotels in this area. Ok so its not the Ritz but its also priced realisticallyfor what it offers.

Disgusting,filthy , mouldy rotten paid for four nights and didn’t stay one night it’s the worst accommodation I’ve ever seen we had no opening window ,it was so hot iit was like a dry sauna ,the towels were stained and dirty the room was a tiny single room with two beds, and a single old wardrobe and a mini fridge on the floor flaking paint and yellow stained ceiling and walls and had to wait for ages for the communal shower for about 8rooms that was filthy and rotten as well the shower had no door but a mouldy shower curtain, the whole bathroom was filthy so we repacked our bags and told the Asian woman in reception exactly why we couldn’t stay there for even one night

Our room was dark and filthy (carpet & rug were so dirty I could not remove my shoes in the room). Bedding was clean but the beds were extremely noisy and uncomfortable. The room had no basic facilities (i.e. no toilet or sink), the gents shared toilet / shower block was reasonable, however, the ladies shower and toilet were unusable with the shower not attached to the wall and the temperature too hot and unable to be turned down (wife could not have a shower).
We booked 2 nights but left on the second day and booked into the local Holiday Inn so we could at least have a shower and comfortable bed.
If you just want the cheapest local accommodation and don't care about comfort, cleanliness or facilities, then this \"trucker's motel\" is the place for you, otherwise, avoid at all costs.

When I arrived there was a phone number on the window to ring. Someone told me the room number and it was open. I was unable to lock the room door with the key provide, the bathroom was disgusting. I tried to call the person back with no answer. I left this accommodation immediately and booked another hotel with you.

The only issue was the communication of check in arrangements, as the listed expedia telephone number was wrong and the property were slow to provide information after ignoring my email. The road outside was rather noisy as it was necessary to leave the window open as it was warm when we stayed.

Room was basic, but spotlessly clean. TV remote didn't work, and there was no kettle for a morning brew despite an empty mug and tea/coffee being in the room. Spoke to the guy in the cafe about it, but it was never resolved. Shower room was clean. Super cheap rates, so wasn't expecting The Ritz. No wifi signal so be prepared to use your data. Ideal for an overnight stay.

Check in was via a phone call, I never saw anyone. I was shocked at the fact that in the room leads were everywhere for the TV and the light. In the side board were blue paper towels from the toilets. The toilets and showers were shared and whilst clean had marks and mould. Tea and coffee was provided but no details of how to get more if I ran out. I booked with a 1 year old and no cot was provided. Thankfully I took my own. There was no security, the main door was open all the time. There were no details for check out and so ended up just leaving.

I have stayed there for 3 weeks and my rooms have got smaller and smaller. The last room was so small when lying on the bed my head touched 1 wall and my feet the other The matresses have also beme worse as the weeks have gone on. My 1st room had a fridge my last room did not.

This B and B is not the cleanest or modernist in beds , noise or actual space transference or facilities .It is a head down worker accommodation with a lot of needed updating to enable the hard overworked worked staff to feel confident and be operate better .The owner needs to invest and maintain better but ,as a last minute gamble , fine,more a lorry drivers stop over than a guests house pleasure however a good price if sleep not to important .

oh my, where do i start. its the bates motel, or perhaps a setting for an episode of scooby doo, the creepy abandoned motel, either way this is either to be avoided or perhaps experienced just once so you can remember how bad motels used to be...
i turned up before 7pm and the place was in darkness, rang a number i eventually found on a tiny card in the window of the (closed) cafe and was eventually directed to walk round the back, go up the stairs and lift the doormat, under it were several envelopes with names on, one of which was mine, in it was the room key. on leaving the next day, i had to post the key through the letterbox of the cafe, there were no instructions to do so. the place was quiet, and it wasnt cold, beds felt like sleeping on a pile of springs, and creaked accordingly, room contained a cupboard which was unlocked, on opening it i found the sites cctv system, and it hummed all night long. fortunately it was really really cheap, but id not go again unless i was desperate. no idea why there were no staff on site all the time i was there. no breakfast on site, cafe didnt even open on sunday morning. i did half expect to be greeted by norman bates or his mother whenever i opened my door, perhaps that why i decided not to attempt having a shower.....

Those Birds Are Amazing!
I had a truly memorable experience during my stay. Let me explain. Chris's Motel is, lets face it, a lorry drivers stop. Nothing at all wrong with that. But that is what it is. However - and this is a big however - the staff are super friendly. They are marvellous. And the food is delicious! So, why was my stay memorable? The friendly staff? The food? No. I was standing by two guys with binoculars and cameras on the car park. They were watching the incredible Red Kites swirling around above our heads. There is a Red Kite colony near the Motel and every day break is put out on the gravel for these magnificent birds. Im not a big bird watcher but I was totally left in awe. I will remember Chris's Motel for the rest of my life.

Service and food were excellent. However, i did not find the room relaxing. Can hear noises from people, corridor, lorries and cars as if they were beside you, the room is a bit smelly too. The fee was really cheap, perhaps the reason of my experience. Maybe the other rooms are better.
