Exceptionally presented accommodation with every detail well thought out and lots of additional items that make this such a nice place to stay. From the interior decor to the fancy teas and the lovely hand soap & moisturiser. The well maintained grounds add to the ambiance. Excellent location with a short stroll to shops and city tourist spots.
The owner was very welcoming and showed me to my room and explained features. Great customer service that is rare to find these days. Definitely be returning for future stays. Highly recommended AAA+++

This motel blew me away. It felt like I’d just stepped into my own home. The place was super clean, recently renovated, very well appointed, and had a welcoming vibe that you don’t usually get from a motel. Every little detail seemed to be looked after.
The Milano is centrally located in Christchurch so easy access to the tourist activities.

An exceptional motel, beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly wish for. Fabulous shower, well equipped and super comfortable bed and quality bedding. I will definitely recommend this place to family visiting the area and indeed to anyone who appreciates cleanliness and attention to detail.

We had a fantastic stay here, everything was great! The apartment was modern and very well equipped with good quality items. Everything was clean and with little extras, such as cheese and crackers, chocolate biscuits, hot chocolate, and good coffee with milk. The owner was really friendly and super helpful. It was fairly quiet, so we had a good sleep. I would definitely stay here again and would totally recommend.

Fave place to stay! Beautiful, warm, quiet and the extra touches like soup, cheese and crackers and Nescafé pods just top it all off. The hosts are so lovely and were even kind enough upgrade our room this time.

First Class - why stay anywhere else!

We had a great stay at Milano. From the friendly, helpful owners to the immaculate unit. Everything was first class and the little extra nibbles, soup etc., were appreciated. The motel is in a very convenient area, supermarket, within a great mall is nearby, as is the bus into the city right outside. Even a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy.

Location was good but service was very average. The owner told me that I had got through a loop hole with my booking as he had blocked everything out as he was so tired, but somehow my booking had very inconveniently come through Expedia. He rang me at lunchtime to see what time we would check in. I said we were easy with time - he said that 3pm would suit him.. but unfortunately our plans changed and we couldn't get there until 5.15pm. When I rang him back to advise him of this he was very rude with me and asked me just to come and get the key now as he was going out. This wasn't possible as I didn't have our vechile to be able to do this my husband had taken it with our children to do some city stuff! When we arrived at 5.15pm he made it very clear that our whole booking was an inconvenience! When we got to the room the place was freezing, no heating had been turned on and bathroom window couldn't shut.Empty toilet roll on the holder & the place had a very strong scented smell. I was very pleased it was a one night only!

We were disappointed with the smell of ashtrays outside the rooms and we booked for 3 people and they provided only two towels. The property is due for some upgrading with flaking paint and generally feeling tired.

Very comfortable two-bedroom unit, plenty of seating for guests in the small lounge, however, we arrived on a very cold winters day, and the heating wasn't turned on! It didn't take long for the heaters to work their magic but I would suggest turning the heaters on low even for a couple of hours before arrival. Excellent facilities, the beds were a little hard for our comfort.

Great service. Owners were very helpful and answered all questions. Bus 29 is best to get at airport. Very clean. Kitchen was fantastic. Fairly quiet at back. They assist to book tours. Manageable walk into city and bus is available across from street. Bit of a scent when u enter room but left with window open.

We were very happy with our choice. The bed was comfortable, spa bath great and had everything we needed. Walking distance to the city, museum, etc.
