The pub and the waitstaff there were more than I hoped for. The management seemed put out when we asked to use the hot tub @ 8:30 pm when it closed at 9:00.
We didn’t need TV in the room, but I was surprised that it wasn’t there. Room was spotless and roomy. Continental breakfast was sparse. Coffee was very good.

It's an outdoor sports club type establishment with snow lovers and families. The golden benefit is to be secluded, away from civilization right near the beautiful mountain and snow forest with have cross country equipment rental right on premises, fire places! Hot tub (pool is closed in winter) and thoughtful good people! We had an auto collision and Sarah supported us in time of need.
Im a cross country skiier. It's hard to find these among many mountain resorts.

This was a 5 star stay and we will definitely be back. The staff were friendly, helpful, and personable. The room was clean and cozy. The small touches that matter - they had them all. We were able to sit in the hot tub after a day of skiing, there were fresh baked cookies in the lobby, coffee all day, access to a fridge and microwave, TV downstairs, arcade/game room. They have a restaurant in the basement of the property. Breakfast in the morning was better than any hotel breakfast. Cereal, bagels, pastries, coffee, juice, French toast bake, etc. The location of this Inn is perfect for any ski trip or hiking adventure! Again, we will 100% be back and with our families :)

The people and food was wonderful. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very dated, carpet seemed worn and limited outlet use. The first night was cold. I had to request an additional blanket despite having a floor heater, which worked well. For the price, I was a little disappointed with the condition of the room. Bed was ok. The people and the food really boosted my review. Staff was great.

This is an old Inn that is charming. Unfortunately our room had a lot of moths and tiny flies and we didn't notice them until late when getting back to the room and going to bed...and because of the moths landing on the bed we really didn't sleep and couldn't complain since it was late. I mentioned this to the front desk in the morning and they said moths are common for an old inn and will tell housekeeping..they did not offer a resolution like a small discount for our inconvenience...that was disappointing.

We stayed at the Franconia Inn for two nights over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Even though we had to check in very late at midnight, the inn was extremely accommodating and made the process smooth and stress-free.

Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with just the right New England charm. The common areas were equally inviting—warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing between outings. The continental breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection and great quality that set us up for the day.

Overall, the Franconia Inn combines charm, comfort, and great hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Overall a really nice stay. Rocky start with having been given 3 different sets of room keys. First room on 3rd floor had someone’s belongings in it. We were given another room but then given keys to a 3rd room before we even got to 2nd. In fairness the hotel is being renovated both inside and out. Room was nice and clean, continental breakfast and pub food were fine and pub had a very good female guitarist and singer for entertainment. I was super impressed with the accommodating restaurant staff and ladies at front desk who checked us out!
And convenient to the glider airfield across the road.

Beautiful inn in a wonderful setting for Nordic skiing. Staff were excellent and informative. It is an old inn so if you’re looking for television in your room, not the place for you. Breakfast was excellent and included as was a ski pass for the day. Also aloud to store some items while we skied after check out.

My guess is that they spend more money on marketing, and possibly paying folks to remove bad reviews, than they do on maintaining the property.

The property is run down with a mud parking lot.
The single pane glass window in our bedroom was less than 50’ from the rural road, so you hear every vehicle. There was little traffic at night, but by 5:30 AM there was a steady stream of folks going to work.

No independent temperature control in the rooms. They have ancient, noisy radiators. Our room heated up to about 78 each night, forcing you to open the windows…making traffic noise worst.
Our \"Superior\" room was tiny. No place to put a suitcase, except inside the closet, on the floor. No TV in the room. Only two outlets. A tiny bathroom like some travel trailers.

The \"Lounge\" and the restaurant never opened during our stay. We received an email AFTER the cancellation deadline, telling us they would not be open Sunday – Wednesday, but saying there were dining options in town… they fail to mention the entire town is closed Sunday – Wednesday, and we had to drive to the next town to find food or get a drink.
The door to the back deck (pictured in their ads) remained locked during our stay...so no firepit or relaxing with a drink.

Staff was somewhere between indifferent and rude.

On check in, they wrote it on the guest booking form...a terrible security risk.
The hotel was so bad we checked out a day early, knowing we would lose our money for the third night.

I love the area but would not choose the Inn to stay at again. VERY limited handicapped parking and no access to pub or game room (including the only TV on the property) as a result of my handicap. Exceptionally quiet and beautiful views tho.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Franconia Inn. It was our home base while we explored Vermont, Franconia Notch State Park, and the Kancamagus Hwy. The Inn was charming, with nice spaces on the first floor to relax and to have breakfast. We enjoyed dinner at the casual pub downstairs twice - good variety and quality of food. We interacted with the owners several times during our stay (outside, in the pub, and serving breakfast, etc). They seemed dedicated to the Inn and invested in making improvements. The common spaces were all in good shape and it appeared there were some recent updates (such as to dining area). Our room itself was fine, but could use some updates (mostly decor, and the showerhead) soon to bring it up to the level of the rest of the inn.

The Inn is in one of the most beautiful areas of the White Mountains and is near to all they have to offer. The staff provided good suggestions for dinner since the restaurant and bar were closed (mid-week). The Inn itself could use a deep cleaning-rugs, pool, pool area and chairs.

Quaint old inn in the heart of Franconia Notch area. Location could not have been better! Comfortable sitting areas throughout the main floor.

Comfortable bed but bathroom could use some work. Original shower head didn’t work and moveable shower head was difficult to adjust for height.

Everything just seemed a little worn in need of some TLC.

At check in, staff made a big deal about the fact that I booked through Expedia. The tone made me feel a little unwelcome.

Asked for recommendations on hiking trails (I had already done research online but was looking for some local insight). They simply handed me a copy of a page available on the hotel website.

Our 2nd night, we decided to have dinner at the pub downstairs. There was a small event upstairs in the breakfast dining area. Apparently, they did not have adequate staff to accommodate both an event and diners in the pub. We ordered 2 burgers and a cup of soup. The soup came out immediately but then we waited more than an hour for the burgers. The burgers were cold, appeared to have been reheated, and they forgot the bacon on one burger. They comped us for one burger and offered us a free dessert but we didn’t want to wait another hour! If you didn’t have staff, should have closed the pub or not agreed to the event.

Continental breakfast without any hot food all three mornings. Presentation was nice but quality and options were what I’d expect at a chain hotel. Breakfast started at 7:30 (very late for hiking)

Very cosy and charming hotel nestled in the woods, a nice antidote to chain hotels. Lovely vibe but could use a refresh in the basement area. Beautiful porch and grounds. Friendly staff and the horses are fun to see. Comfortable beds however I found the air conditioning to be on the loud side. We loved staying here.

My third stay at the Inn with my 2 grown daughters and my sister. The Inn is very comfortable is in a beautiful setting. It's very close to many local attractions and a quick drive away from the sweet town of Littleton. The restaurant and pub have excellent food and nice cocktails. I highly recommend!!

Just a relaxing place to stay indeed. Pub downstairs with great food and then leads out back for a pleasant walk on the grounds.

Old cemetery across the street for some great reading as well as head stone art from back in the day.

Gliders taking off and landing all day was some great watching on the front porch. Horse back riding will take part next time out as well as your tennis courts!!

We stayed at the Franconia Inn in mid-November and it was a perfect stay! This area is very rural and the inn offers one of the only restaurants in the region, which made meals very easy. Thank you for offering take out to our room!! Our room itself was adorable, not at all a stuffy B&B, and it was relaxing hanging out by the multiple fireplaces and in the game room. The property is gorgeous and you feel a million miles away while still being in the center of everything. Will be back again!

I booked this hotel as our trip splurge since I paid over $200 for one night, but we were very disappointed in our stay here. First of all, the picture on hotels.com makes it look like you will have a beautiful mountain view behind the inn and be out in the country. Instead, we were right off a highway and our room faced the highway with traffic noise starting in the wee hours. Also the floors creaked badly so we could hear every sound coming from the room above us. We had looked forward to eating a nice meal in the dining room, but it was closed with no advance notice that it would be due to \"end of the season\". The pub had a very limited menu, so we had to drive 25 minutes to town to get dinner. For the price, you would think breakfast would be included but it was not. The hair dryer was broken, the wifi didn't work, no one answered the front desk to help us figure out how to operate the antiquated heater, the room was advertised as spacious but was the size of a small hotel room. I typically never post a negative review, but I wish someone would have given me a heads up before I booked this inn.

With a little bit of work, this facility could be quaint, charming and very cozy. The bar area downstairs is quite charming and comfortable. Great motel. Loved the rustic feel with all the old furniture and fixtures. Very beautiful grounds with lots of activities in the area. A couple things that were not in the room were a coffee pot, TV, and refrigerator. But not having them helped us meet a lot of new people in the common areas. I would love to go back and stay longer.

Lovely quaint hotel in a quiet location, our room was one of the smaller ones with a normal sized double bed which seemed cramped compared to the other locations we had stayed in prior to this stop. We dined in the restaurant the first evening, food was great, service was really slow, next evening we tried the pub downstairs, it has the same menu as the restaurant and the service was super fast. Breakfast was very good not the usual formula fare. Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay.
