I booked the hotel based off the images on Expedia. However, when driving into the property, the property looked run down and we were having second thoughts. I checked in and asked to have two rooms close together which we were given rooms on the third floor. I asked if there were any rooms on the first floor since we had kids with us and there were and we were given those keys. We went to the first room which was #108 and was right next to the pool and once we went in, it smelled like chlorine so bad. SO BAD! We went to the next room to check it out, #109, and it didn't smell too bad. I then went back to the front desk to ask if we can be moved back to the third floor rooms which we were able to. #308 and #309 rooms were okay. It looked like the carpets were not vacuumed in a while and there were towels folded in the bathroom but when you opened them, there was noticeable dirt marks on two of them.
There was a random hair clip on the curtains and just felt dirty.
The pool looked like the water hasn't been refreshed in a while.
The breakfast option was good though.
We booked this hotel for three nights but canceled the last 2 nights and paid the cancel fee of $87 per room went someplace else. My sister and I were traveling with our kids and we just did not feel safe at this hotel.
This hotel needs some TLC.

Sink was leaking, outside door lock to the room was broken, the staff was all nice and helpful, with the exception of the person who was stocking the breakfast, who told me that I am \"taking too much food\" (2 and a half plates for 3 people, myself, wife and daughter) and I was told I was not allowed to take food out of the room, despite every table and chair being occupied at that time, and I was holding a crying 1 year old child. Other than that, the breakfast itself was good. There was a nice variety, and the rest of the staff addressed concerns in a helpful way.

This Quality Inn (Mount Vernon, WA) serves great breakfast selections, in a nice comfortable sitting. By the time you're done with your breakfast you can easily skip lunch.

Though we visited Mount Vernon a few times, this is the first time we stayed at this hotel. It was a last minute booking for us since it is one of those places which is pet friendly.

For almost a decade, we traveled to the US for my hubby's Christmas & summer events. He works for a global radio communications company and each year, the Canadians joined the Americans employees and management to celebrate these special occasions, expenses paid by the company.

Since the hotel that was booked for us in Seattle was not pet friendly, and it was a last-minute booking for us. We know we can always find a hotel in Mount Vernon that accommodate this type of situation.

In the past, since we have an undeveloped agricultural property nearby (Conway, Mount Vernon, WA), we have used other hotels around the area; this is our first with Quality Inn.

Finally, if you're in similar situation like us, this hotel is highly recommended, with a surprise bonus of complete breakfast for a very reasonably priced accommodation. Thank you, Quality Inn (Mount Vernon, WA).

The beds were very comfortable, with very soft sheets and a variety of comfy pillows.
The breakfast variety was good and the dining room attendant was friendly and provided a clean, well kept room. We appreciated that PBS was playing (Bob Ross!!) during breakfast.
We were a bit disappointed that the pool and hot tub were undergoing maintenance but we were notified well in advance and offered a refund if that was a deal breaker.

They did us wonders and because we were out of state they gave us a discount cuz we came here for work. Look we just wanted price comfort because we came to make money and take home more money. Rooms aren’t fancy but that’s what we paid for we just wanted to sleep comfortably and we did! We wanted a tv and fridge and wifi was good! Everything a man needs and they were nice and took care of us. Free breakfast included so don’t go looking for lavish living here, ur goal is to rest your mind and soul and go on with ur Washington adventure. God willing!

People a 10!! Totally helpful. Comments were made they are working on getting the place in shape. I could see this by the staff. The accommodations were just simply OLD and not reliable.
Property was a two. Stained couch, lights in kitchen area broken. Bolt on door broken off. Only way to lock door was door itself. No extra safety precautions available with our room. Lights on path extremely bright. Lights came through the curtains.

Great place for the price

The front desk person was very nice, efficient, and even let us check in an hour early. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was that the room had an overpowering flowery smell of some kind of room deodorizer that stuck around, even after we left the window open for several hours.

This hotel had a pool, which was our top priority since we were traveling with kids, so that was good. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of service- a little disappointing for us parents.

Also, unfortunately, the room had several cleanliness issues- stains on one of the bedspreads, stains on the wall like liquid splatter on the wall, and other unsanitary looking stains on the bathroom door. I let the front desk person know so hopefully these issues will be addressed before the room is occupied again.

Our phone did not work, they could here us but we could not here them. Went to front desk to tell them, didnt seem concerned. Couldn't get shower working, tried the phone again, still did not work, had to get dressed and go back to lobby. They had no one to come and fix the shower, so gave me a key to another room which i appreciated. I could not get shower to work in new room, so must have been me. I rang from other room, phone worked here and said it must be me can someone come and show me, said would come straight away as there were 2 in reception. Waited 15 minutes, still did not come. Went and had breakfast, got shower working enough to have a quick boiling shower.

The location was perfect. Only a couple down sides one was they used enough bleach water to clean the room our eyes burned for 24 hrs with the window open but we knew it was clean so that was an up side as well lol. The other witch isnt in the hotels control but two of the three morning there was dog poo in front of our door but the hotel did clean it up each day.

Only down side is the black mold in the bathroom. On the ceiling, down the wall and in the corners around the tub. I addressed this during check out as a precautionary to the hotel staff; for safety reasons for themselves and future guests.

You get what you paid for. Room was clean and nice, really no complaints there for the price.

The walkway that leads into the room has the aggressive lights. With that, the even with the curtains closed, light beamed into the room and made it hard to get fully comfortable to rest.

In 2 instances within the same morning, housecleaning knocked before check out @ 11:00 am. There was no sign to sign to let them know it was occupied and in one instance, they came in the room while were in bed.

Crummy & loud w/ amenities out of order

Was in Mount Vernon for a 100-mile bike ride and booked this place for its hot tub, which was out of order. My room was next to the pool and was very loud, there was NO smoke alarm in the room (a fire code violation), and when we checked out one day early to find a better option, we were told they would not refund the third day. When we called on Monday to inquire about a refund, the front desk employee hung up on us twice. Still waiting to see if we will be refunded for the last day.

We arrived in town at 12am, desperately needing to get some shut eye and had pre-booked this hotel because it had good reviews. When we got to our first assigned room and the AC was broken and the curtains were broken. When we went down to the office to request a different room, the woman at the front scoffed at us and told us \"that can't be true\" and we almost had to argue to get a different room... THEN when we got into our second room, there was literal feces in the bathroom toilet! Again we immediately went down to the office to complain and AGAIN we were meet with the same response. When we asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else, we were told \"no because you already reserved this room for tonight\" and then \"you'll have to call or customer service for a refund if you want one.\" Then we proceed to walk out and find somewhere else to stay.

When we FINALLY got ahold of customer service, we were told that they would only refund one of the two nights we reserved and that if we wanted a full refund, we would have to request an authorized refund from the owner of the establishment.

This establishment was filthy, the parking lot was way too small for three number of rings they have on site, and the staff were absolutely awful in every sense.

The room smelled like it had been a smoking room at one point and they have tried to cover it up with air fresheners. The refrigerator was nice to have, the microwave was also nice although it was not plugged in and had to be moved to the table because the cord was too short to reach the plug in, which meant the tv cabinet had to be moved also to access the plug ins. The plug ins next to the bed were wore out and a phone charger cord wouldn’t stay plugged it. The hotel was over all ok, the bed was nice but the hotel building itself definitely needs some updates on simple maintenance stuff

They put me in three different rooms at this property. They had a horrible smell. Splatter stains on the walls. A room had a huge stain on the rug in the middle of the floor. I closed the curtains and there was an earwig crawling on the curtain. I would not sit on anything it was that dingy. I did not stay. I left and booked at a different hotel chain. Expedia tried to get me a refund, but the property denied it. I was supposed to stay two nights. The property wouldn’t even give me a refund for the second night. This property is more of a 1 star property. These pictures shown are brightened and makes it look clean. I was just there to sleep and I couldn’t stay there. I do not recommend this property.

The place is very run down. Needs and overhaul. room 305 when I went looking for outlets the plates were missing and there was dried ketchup on the wall and door going into the bathroom. Broken titles and the bathroom in the swim area were you can tell no one even came in and put towels in there for you to dry off. They left the doors open and racks out where you could see just all the dirty stuff no one cared. Thats why all the photos are shot so far away.

The beds were comfortable, it was an obviously dated property, but they have been doing a great job about trying to make upgrades. The pool area was very clean and my kids had a blast. The breakfast in the morning was a little bit weird, there wasn’t an option to be able to take it back to your room, which we did not like so we didn’t eat there. The front desk staff were amazing and so were the housekeepers.

It was not quiet at all, with many teenager teams of boys and or workers the second night. Drinking or chatting in the parking lot and opening and slamming doors repeatedly at night and again early in the morning. The front desk staff were great the first night in getting the kids settled. The second night, my bathroom fan would not turn off, the front desk person was out for a long time and then told me I could sleep on a Twin bed instead. Which was not okay to move my room at 10:30pm to a tiny bed. And then took a reservation call instead of helping me and BOOKED that room! I was lucky my father helped me get the fan switch to shut off.

Night clerk was very put out i was checking in at 12:30 a.m.
He was even more put out when i asked for a different tv remote since the one provided wasnt working.
I had called ahead asking if they had HBO, to which he replied yes, and then hung up.
Turns out you need a wifi adapter or router to get hbo on their dish system.
Same guy checked me out in the morning and he was rude then again. Must not like guests

We had a wonderful stay at Quality Inn Mount Vernon! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. When we realized we had forgotten our chargers, the front desk went above and beyond by lending us one that had been left behind—such a thoughtful touch!

We were also upgraded to a suite due to a double booking, and it made our stay even more comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family.

One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast—it exceeded our expectations! There were hot waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and plenty of other options to satisfy everyone in the family.

Overall, a great experience with excellent service. We’ll definitely be staying here again!
