This hotel is in serious need of renovations. Everything looks very old and used. Cleanliness was an issue, the room we booked smelled like someone had smoked in it recently, while the air conditioner was not working properly. The check-in staff were friendly and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The free breakfast is similar to what you get at other hotel chains. However, I find it unbelievable that Expedia rates this hotel 3 and a half stars.

The connential breakfast was very good .. the advertised pool is a joke (not on property..its across the street) you'll need a voucher to get in the pool
Pricing was ok
Suggestion..drop the pool in your ad and fix your motel and maybe some new carpet

The hotel room we had is in desperate need of an upgrade. The carpet was red with signs of much wear. Did not want to walk bearfoot on it. The walls were dark red and the room was dark. There was also a heavy smell of room deodorizer. The red war uncomfortable.

I was visiting family in town and needed a hotel with close proximity to a gym as well as in town for visiting my relatives. This hotel had both. It is right next-door to a nice gym. They have a pass arrangement so I used it each day and that was very helpful. They have a delicious included breakfast with eggs and sausage and potatoes and fruit and oatmeal and yogurt. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again when I return to visit relatives.

The pool was only for 18+ and only at the health center next door.
The air vent on the 3rd floor was so loud in the hall it was hard to hear someone walking beside you.
The convention center next door played music until 11:30pm that I was unable to drown it out even with a white noise machine turned all the way up.
There were two dirty washcloths hanging on top of my shower curtain from the previous guests when I walked in the room.

This was by far the absolute worst Wyndham I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms and furnishings were so dated and old. The carpet in 137 had multiple stains on it and was just disgusting- didn’t want to take off my shoes. The smoke detector was hanging from wires, the bedside lamp switches were broken. Room bathroom towel bar was filthy with dust and the mirror had some white stains all over the frame. The breakfast was the worst quality food ever. The kitchen and dining areas were dirty as well. Do not stay here. When checking out they barely acknowledged me snd most definitely did not ask how the stay was.
I’m pretty sure they know not to ask that question. This should not have the Wyndham name on it.

Fine place to stay for the cost. Yes, it needs some attention. There was a little black mold growing in the bathroom shower area. Maintenance seems like it was done by an amateur, but you can’t expect much for the price. Breakfast was full and there’s a great latte machine in the lobby. Bedding was comfortable and the TV was easy to operate.

Unfortunately, our room was in need of maintenance (floor buckled in bathroom, bed frame askew, carpet needsing replacement). I would not stay here again due to maintenance needs making the room and shared areas feel dirty due to deferred maintenance.

The room was not bad. Had a very relaxing, comfortable stay. When I checked in I had already been charged two nights for the room, so the front desk needed me to pay the pet fee of 20 per night, as well as a 100 dollar deposit...I told the front desk clerk that I wanted to pay the deposit in cash because I needed the deposit returned when I checked out, rather than having to wait for the deposit to be returned to my account. I only had 70 cash, so they took my 70 cash and charged my card for the remaining 30 of the 100 total deposit. I needed the cash to be returned upon checkout because I needed it for gas to get to my next destination, where I planned to put in some hours work as a professional shop and deliver private contractor for Shipt. When I was checking out, the front desk clerk said that the pet fee of 40 dollars had not been paid. I looked into my account transactions and it showed that Wingate had charged my card for the 30 towards deposit on the date and time that I checked in. I had no idea that they hadn't charged my card for the 40 pet fee, because I always freeze my card after every transaction. The front desk staff were very rude to me about checking out and actually were accusing me of trying to not pay the pet fee.... ultimately they were so rude and even when I got my bank to explain to them that they needed to process the payment since it was released and pending...Wingate still has my 70 cash, the 40 dollars that is pending and the 30 that was charg

Honestly I made the reservation before reading the reviews but did read them as I was on the way there and it made me nervous. As I went to the front desk it was around 9:30pm and there was no one there, waited about 10 minutes and someone finally made it to the counter. I was checked in by two people and one was very nice and the other one was strictly business with zero customer service skills but you can tell this is just how they are, straight business. As I walked to the room I was confused how wide the hallways were, it is larger than a one lane road. My key cards would not work but someone who I think was the owner walked by and he used his Mastercard to let us into the room and he went to the front desk to get replacement keys for us. As I looked around the room I was surprised how large it was, it had zero smells and it was clean. The room itself is very bare bones, the remote had issues working, only two towels versus a normal hotel that has at least 4, only one bar of soap so you have to use it between the sink and the shower. The room hasn’t been upgraded it seems since it was built but it wasn’t falling apart. For the price of the room of $130 I would stay there again if a newer hotel wasn’t available for around the same price but honestly I would stay there again versus taking my chance at another older hotel. The area that the hotel was at wasn’t a sketchy area and it made it pretty simple to get to everything in the area.

Check in was rough, don’t think they put their phone down until I explained how rude it was when someone was trying to check-in.

The grounds are fine and the hotel room was clean. It’s not a super clean hotel but it’s fine if you have no one expecting something great.

The breakfast and housekeeping groups work hard - kudos.

Given the circumstances for our trip a kids sports tourney and not having a ton of options - I would recommend this place to others - regardless of the rating I am associating.

The biggest things this place should work on - add scents to get rid of the older hotel / carpet smells as I doubt they’ve swapped anything since the 1996 construction.

The housekeeping and breakfast should be acknowledged and you should promote that as your front of staff - check in was really below the lowest bar. But hard workers and the right teams make all the difference.

The grounds need a landscape clean up and freshen up. It’s just not great to walk in after seeing everything looking rough on the outside.

I’d clean up with paint - scents - landscaping and direct the front desk to put down the phone.

To say that we “stayed” here would be a lie. We stayed only long enough to find and book another place to stay. I have stayed in some places that I wouldn’t go back to, but I have never posted a review for anything, let alone a negative review, but this experience was so awful, I can’t not say something. We arrived after dark so couldn’t really see how it looked outside, but I can say that the photo shown in the listing is not the same building. Immediately upon arrival my family began complaining about the smell of urine throughout the lobby. I thought they were being difficult so we checked in. What we found in our room was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced anywhere, let alone a well known chain hotel. The smell upon entry was overwhelming, and not in a good way. The kitchenette cabinets and counter were covered in greasy handprints, the curtains were filthy and torn, there was something on the wall between the beds that my husband is convinced was blood, the walls were so gross I couldn’t stand to look at them and the toilet was dirty and not well attached to the floor. We tried to convince ourselves we could do it for one night but the thought of getting in the bed was it for me. We booked a room down the street and accepted that we likely wouldn’t get our money back. I couldn’t care less. I don’t think of myself as high maintenance, but this was unbelievable. Do not stay here.

I am a Wingate member. This property is at the lowest level. Although the rooms are spacious. The black out curtains were shredded. The carpet in the room had one hole and a few stains. The ice machine leaks and there are towels on the floor. The luggage trolley carts have dirty carpeting where the luggage sits. The elevator needed to have the floor swept. The breakfast had hot items but it was pretty much empty at 8:30 when we arrived. No one checked and no one filled the items up. The others who arrived after us were left out. This property needs some updating. There was one homeless man that seemed to hang around the parking lot. Our vehicle was safe though.
My husband was not as bothered by these shortfalls.
If you do not speak up, nothing will improve. I am hesitant to stay again.

WORST hotel to stay at so please do not waste your time or money!! Right off the bat noticed the carpet was disgusting, oil stains, toothpicks, paperclips and garbage it was definitely not cleaned. The shower had bugs in it!! There was a huge screw sticking out which you cannot see where the step was to go to the main area and restroom, my boyfriend and I both ended up stepping on it let staff know and they brushed it off (thats a big lawsuit waiting to happen) we should've had two sets of towels for this room and only had one, had to go downstairs and ask for more and the front desk receptionist was rude as hell. On top of that the tv was staticky you cannot see anything clearly. Also have photos of all of this! And lastly they will try to keep your deposit for damage already done prior to you being there!! I made front staff know about that after I checked in and was assured I wouldn't be charged then they try and charge, so please do not even think about this place just stay at Clarrion!!

Our other room smelled like it just had a drain back up and they tried to cover it up. It was rose scented poo. We didnt recieve mew towels till the day of our departure and all of our trash bins were overflowed. There was no clear sinage on where we could dump our trash.
