The room was very clean compared to other hotels in the same price range..no fitness center or pool, but the cleanliness and quiet rooms made up for that. Its right next to target, walmart, crumbl, yummy bowl, and starbucks!

I found 3 spiders in the shower/toilet area high up in corners of the ceiling with a sizeable cob web or web. The furniture looked worn with cracks on coffee table and night stand along with the flooring in the bathroom. The floor in the bathroom also had a visible sticky footprint on it. The queen bed was comfortable and the carpet looked in good condition. The remote controller felt like it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly in a while. The flatscreen TV looked great along with the lamps, bed and curtains. The A/C was noisy but effective. I would stay here again for like $65/night instead of $98 if I was in a hurry. The lobby was clean and the continental breakfast served the next morning that didn’t eat, looked good.

My biggest complaint is that there is are not a lot more Sleep Inn hotels around the country because I'd stay in every one that was like the one in Springfield, IL. It's a Choice Hotel, probably testing a new boutique line because there are only a few so far. But it's perfect for the business traveler like me. The rooms are not large but there is no wasted space; clean, great aesthetic, great layout, new and well-thought out furniture, great bed, interesting room design, very functional bathroom facilities and walk-in glass shower. I stayed an extra night just to treat myself to an extra day of rest. Excellent location right off the 72 on the south side of Springfield, Two restaurants right across the parking lot but far enough not to intrude on how quiet this place is. Plenty of parking, good visibility on your vehicle from the room but no parking right up against the building; no 5 AM wake ups to a diesel truck starting. Great place, great price.

Pro's : The gentleman at the front desk was was pleasant. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. Parking was ok.

Con's:
We had a room with 2 double beds. Since the room was on the small side it was a little cramped.
The fan in the bathroom didn't work well. The shower and the towels stayed wet.

It's a nice hotel. I would recommend it.

Check in was fast and efficient. Room, bathroom and common areas were clean. Aspect ratio of the TV in my room was out of adjustment and seemingly not adjustable. I'm not a big TV person so really not an issue for me. Area around hotel was safe with lots of shopping and restaurants. For the price point this hotel is a bargain. I would stay here again.

The breakfast wasn't great and it didn't offer many options.
But our room had a shower door that didn't close right so water was all over the floor. Our bedside clock kept flashing and we couldn't get it to the actual time. Annoying during the night and the room darkening shade didn't close all the way. Rough night.

Bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, not immaculate, but a good place to sleep. Central to food and shopping. The only downside was they must have just washed the carpeting in our room and it was not dry yet. The room was damp and your feet got wet when you walked on the floor. At least that shows they cleaned them, though!

It definitely wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed at, but for the money and location, it was fine. Negative: The rooms had a weird smell, and so did the shower in the bathroom. There was also a weird white stain in one of our rooms.
Positives: The staff was nice, breakfast was good, the hotel was quiet, and the beds were comfortable.

The room was a little smaller than we expected, but things were pretty freshly updated (paint, furniture) so it was quite pleasant. The breakfast was good, including most typical things and fruit, oatmeal, and some selection of teas.
The downside was finding we were close to a railroad track and trains were quite loud. Try to get a room facing the other hotels/mall if you're a light sleeper.

Breakfast was same everyday scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon with bread and waffles.

Good thing is coffee is available throughout the day.

Room is ok. Bathrooms are not good. Showers are pathetic.

Night time sleep is hampered often by the Tran passing behind the property. That’s the location issue.
