The bathroom shower fixtures were falling off the wall.
The bathroom fixtures are VERY dated.

The main room was beautiful! The TV's were new, the USB ports were new (with USB C, very rare!)

The parking situation is horrible as there is NO PARKING CONNECTED TO THE BUILDING!
You have to walk all the way around the building to load your car - there is no Valet, No Valet parking.
As an old person THIS is absolutely ridiculous.

It was very clean and the staff was exceptionally nice from front desk, to housekeeping, to restaurant/bar staff. It was in a great location for walking to many Lincoln sites. We felt safe in the area. I'd go there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the Amtrak and the major Lincoln sites, which was a real plus for us. The downtown area is charming and extremely clean.

I breakfasted each morning of the three-day visit, and the dining room staff went out of their way to be helpful every time---wonderful attitudes and gracious manners. The breakfast buffet was delicious
Shawn was welcoming every morning. His warmth is a real asset to the hotel. Sherry went out of her way every day to ensure I had a good breakfast, going the extra mile, and Heather who I met just once was excellent, too.

Perhaps the hotel could use an update, however, I've stayed at more up-to-date hotels, and it is always the staff for me, that is the most important element.

The helpful staff at the lobby, was appreciated, and the free shuttle to the Amtrak was a real plus.

But, for me the real benefit for staying here, was the breakfast staff, who started out my day with warmth and kindness, and I'll always rememebr this.

Cleaning crew barged into the room at 8:15 am without knocking while I was in the bathroom and my wife in bed. After I stopped them they never came back. When we returned to the hotel at 3 pm and found the room unserviced we called the front desk only to be told that the crew had already “left for the day.”

To their credit when we returned that night the room was cleaned. But the experience was to say the least not consistent with expectations.

Ceiling light burned out or broken, there was a brown stain on the outer sheet. It did not smell but gross to look at. I would have had changes but didn't notice until I had someone bring more towels as we had 2 towels for 4 people initially.

Parking was something like $3 for 1 day which isn5' bad but is not free. Breakfast was very good but also not included w/o extra charge.

Otherwise things were good, pool was a good temperature (no working hot tub) and the tv and beds were nice. Staff was friendly. Decent area but no fast food nearby and nearby Italian restaurant was pricey and just okay.

The hotel is old and multiple places had damaged/ unkept stuff (I.e. elevator hand rails, carpet, bathtubs, trim throughout, etc). The hotel is priced kind of high for what you get, I believe this is due to it being next to the event center. Also, the parking for the event center is the same as the hotels and there was almost no parking left for the hotel guest when we checked in. The bed was not very comfortable and very firm. The hotel and room looked clean throughout. I would not recommend to stay at this this hotel as there are several others in Springfield that are nicer for the same price or cheaper.

$24 to add a breakfast option is ridiculous, when many hotels offer free breakfast for their guests. The abandoned Wyndham Hotel directly across the street was a horrible eyesore. One would also think that the hotel would offer to validate your parking, but I was told they could not, because the parking garage was \"owned by the city.\"

The staff was amazing except a blond lady at the front desk of the morning we were departing. She was snippy to my wife but not rude and it was settled quickly by another employee at the desk. The room size was good but was definitely not spotless (I took pictures). I feel for a hotel of this stature that it should have in room microwaves but that is just my opinion. My family had to use the stairs multiple times due to the elevators not working properly and we were on the 11th floor. The heater did not function properly until around 3A.M. All in all I feel that we paid for the location convenience of the hotel more than we did for the stay. I will return in the future, but hopeful that facility updates will have been made by then.
