Terrible smell in the room, musty with a hint of old smoke. Only 1 trash can in the entire unit. The drain in the shower clogged up so you felt like you were showering in a kiddie pool. Hotel needs an uplift. Just passing through but would never stay there again.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired. They had very few choices and the individual taking care of that area did not seem to be interested in making sure everything was stocked up.

Always had to wait for staff at the desk. They were always in the back.
Complimentary breakfast was never stocked & stopped thirty minutes prior to scheduled time. Only decaf coffee, other pot empty by 9 and never refilled.

This property was being renovated during our stay, but it was not an issue. The only negative was that the staff seemed unprepared for the number of people at breakfast, which left guests waiting 10-15 minutes for eggs and sausage links.

The rooms were very clean and in good condition. The water was hot in the shower and the AC worked great for a hot week.
The breakfast was pretty average for these hotels. Ths biggest issue on breakfast was no knives! someone could have made a trip to a superstore to get them.
The pool and ice machines were closed down within 5 minutes of me checking the water temp on the pool.
I would stay again but weird things happen!

I’m not really fussy about breakfast, but they must have run out of bread products. They had none. Also the fruit look very old.

I had read reviews that gave the place an excellent overall. I usually can count on that to be mostly correct. First thing walking in the door to the lobby it needed to be vacuumed. The glass on the doors needed cleaning. The shower was newer and nice but overall I’d say that the furniture and look was definitely not excellent. We tried the breakfast the first morning and ended up going out. The hot food wasn’t much of a variety and what they did have was mostly gone. There was nowhere to sit and going back to the furniture, the chairs at the tables were in need of replacement. Hate to be that person that is only negative but even though I will say nothing was gross, I’ll just say I was disappointed.

The staff was kind but not proactive. The lobby had a couple of teenage guests running around making a ton of noise. The room immediately smelled bad walking into it. The fabric chair and couch had stains all over them and the carpet was gross. The AC unit in the room had mold and calcification on it. Trash cans inside the common areas and outside the hotel were overflowing. I don’t know how this place got 9+ stars except that maybe it was rated by people who want to party hard at a hotel without consequences or cleaning up after themselves. We left immediately and just ate the cost of the stay because we figured it would be cheaper than the consequences of staying.

I had an amazing experience at Comfort Suites Near Route 66. The staff was very courteous, friendly, welcoming, helpful, prompt and pleasant. They personalized our suite by placing signs on our suite door and throughout the suite that said "Happy Birthday Jayshawn". Thus personalized touch really helped make my son's 11th birthday party/trip a success. Everyone we came into contact with was exceptional. I would like to give a personal thank you to Erica, Cassandra and Zack, you guys are the best! We will definitely book with this hotel again.

Staff was excellent, especially the person that managed breakfast alone on June20. That is a two-person job yet she was not overwhelmed, frantic or grumpy - she maintained her composure, smiled, and was attentive to everyone’s needs and request.

Large rooms that are clean. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast retells are slow and food tentative over three breakfasts but several choices.
Need to fix the ice machine on third floor!!!
Also fix key card access on the two side entries , please for those who have to park far from the front entrance.
Otherwise solid hotel choice for transient travel to see Springfield's Lincoln sites.

NICE QUIET ROOM WITH ADEQUATE TOWELS. MINI-FRIDGE DID NOT HAVE A FREEZER AREA TO RE-FREEZE COLD PACKS FOR OUR COOLER. COULD USE ANOTHER GRABBAR IN SHOWER ITSELF FOR STABILITY (WHEN SOAP IN ONE'S EYES, ETC.). NOT A LOT OF VARIETY/SELECTION WITH BREAKFAST BUT ADEQUATE. AC WORKED WELL, AND TEMP WAS ADJUSTABLE.
WOULD RETURN FOR ANOTHER STAY IF IN SPRINGFIELD AGAIN. NO DIFFICULTY FINDING THE LOCATION EXCEPT GOOGLE MAPS WANTED TO SEND US TO "COMFORT INN & SUITES" NOT "COMFORT SUITES". THAT WASTED AN EXTRA HALF HOUR. MAYBE THE CORPORATION COULD CLARIFY WITH GOOGLE MAPS THE DIFFERENCE.

Had to use a flashlight to find our room because the hall lights weren’t working. No pillow cases. No anti-slip mat or stickers in bath tub. Burned out lights. Cable not working. Internet didn’t work. Water temperature in shower kept changing. Had to chase down toilet paper and Kleenex. Horrible place!

Pictures of the rooms on the website with hotels.com was not the same as the room we got. Hotel was currently under remodel and would have chosen a different hotel if we knew that. Staff was scarce. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Great location with several great restaurants within a half mile. Breakfast had good variety, but there wasn't enough seating during busy weekend (lots of families), and they could really use an extra set of hands in kitchen on Saturday and Sunday as breakfast items were running out all 3 times we tried to get food and we ended up having to go out for breakfast Sunday. They only have one toaster, and only one side worked. Our room was very nice and roomy, and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our refrigerator had to be replaced, the first 2 coffee makers were broken, and our toilet valve malfunctioned a couple days into our stay. Please note however, that the staff responded quickly to each reported issue, and were all very friendly and professional. Everything was in great working order when we checked out:) We would stay here again despite some inconveniences.

The pool was warm, the beds and linens were very comfortable, and the rooms were very big. Staff was super friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on restaurants and helping us find our way around. Only drawbacks were the shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty (did not contact someone to fix as i was already in the shower) and the breakfast left something to be desired. Both mornings they were constantly out of food, and the only fruit they had were apples that were all wrinkly and mushy, probably because the room with the food was at least 80 degrees. We travel frequently, even more now since my oldest will be out of state for college, and have been trying to find the perfect hotel chain.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the TV was out the entire time we were there. My husband has insomnia, so a TV is very important when we stay in a hotel. Also, breakfast was chaotic and haphazard, with many items not restocked in a timely manner, some items not restocked at all. Also, quiet hours were not enforced adequately.

Wonderful check in experience and clean rooms with a walk in shower and nice long towels that wrap around you!

Breakfast was a little hard to deal with only because there was pageant and wrestling events happening off site so it was very crowded. Staff did the best they could keeping the food filled but I ended up with one sausage and a spoonful of eggs. I'm not sure if another waffle maker would've helped?

Good customer service, but when looking for a hotel - the primary reason for us is to sleep. Uncomfortable hard beds and tiny pillows made it impossible for us to get any shut-eye. Bathroom was clean and nicely updated. Would have appreciated a long mirror somewhere. It felt odd that the second mirror was small and above the desk rather than over the counter with refrigerator, etc. Breakfast was decent, but had limited options.

The room was dirty. The closet had juice cartoons and something else in it, red stains on the carpet and chair. Floor wasn't vacuumed, bathroom had hair and conwebs. Turned on heat and smoke detector sounded. Maintenance guy said the other guy didn't clean the A/C vent. He said he would give us a stick disarm the smoke detector if we wanted the heat on and he would come back the next day- he didn’t. I took pictures.
