Plenty of parking, the room was clean and the welcome friendly.The downside was the restaurant was closed when arrived so the alternative was to go out again.
We didn't bother, it might have been better to have had some notice of this and we could made other arrangements it didn't spoil matters.

We arrived late at night after leaving a hotel 15 minutes away that turned out to be dreadful. We felt so welcome here - the kindest, most welcoming people, and very cosy, spotless, pretty rooms, with welcome baskets of much-appreciated snacks. Very comfy, quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. We will definitely stay again on our trips to visit family locally.

Great one night stay. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. I also loved the breakfast hamper in the room - the hotel doesn’t do a formal breakfast, however a very good hamper is provided in your room with granola, dried fruit mix, cornflakes, croissants and apples. There’s also tea/coffee, and milk and yogurt in the fridge. I thought this was a great idea and it was all included in the cost of the room. I would definitely stay there again.

Sadly this place needs a fair bit of work doing to it. Stayed in a room on one of the hottest days of the year (not their fault obviously!) but no fan available and also blinds only covered 2/3 of the window so noisy all night then the room was bright from about 4:30am. Did flag this to staff but no-one came to try and fix the blinds or provide a fan. Bathroom was very small and could hardly sit on the toilet due to close proximity to wall opposite. For the price I'd opt for something else next time.

Having stayed at the hotel a number of times, the first noticeable and welcome improvement was in the presentation of the ground floor public rooms. This upgrade is continued in the bedroom (Room 1) which has cleaner lines and is much less cluttered than before.

Bathroom a little cramped and could do with a waste disposal basket. Delivery of hot water can test one's patience. The basin \"plug\"needs replacing as it doesn't allow the retention of water and I think the fitting of the hot water tap needs to be checked.

The property has been refurbished to a high standard. I understand that a chef was due to start the following week, so no restaurant service, however the owner suggest a pub about 15minutes walk away which was excellent. Breakfast was provided free of charge with a very nice hamper and the fridge contained milk orange juice and yogurts .

This is an exceptionally friendly and welcoming place to stay in for a night end route with well decorated and comfortable rooms. Despite being beside a fairly busy road, it was quiet in the room. Because there was no chef on site, we were given a generous cold breakfast in a small hamper.

The pub looks quite attractive, and the rooms were fine and clean. However, my bed had a plastic undersheet which I had to take off to prevent sweating in during the night.
The food was of budget quality and a bit overpriced. There was a large dog roaming around which growled when I tried to stroke it, so if you are there with children be careful.

The hotel was easy to find with a spacious car park. Checking in was simple.The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The room was very neat and tidy with just the right amount of personal touches without going over the top. The choice of beverages was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and there was only the occasional bit of road noise, but as we live in a rural area we always tend to notice this.

We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Food excellent but made when ordered so not the fastest service. It must be advertised as a dog friendly hotel as most guests had one? It's in an excellent position to visit local attractions, although on the edge of the town so not in walking distance of any other establishments.

We especially liked the imaginative installation of mirrors in the entrance. The menus for evening meal and dinner were very varied and the range of vegan / vegetarian options was really good. The vegan burger (with vegan cheese) was excellent.

The room was too hot and the window did not even stay open when you tried to open it to cool the room. The sink took ages to drain properly and the cleaners did not even provide a spare toilet roll so half a roll was all I was provided with for my two day stay. On the plus side the food was very good and the reception and bar staff were very helpful.
