Wow where do I begin… this was the first hotel of our honeymoon and we never wanted to leave!! One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. The room was secluded, with a balcony and view of the ocean. You can hear chickens and roosters in the mornings which was a unique touch. The property is amazingly well kept. The pool area especially was amazing and so relaxing with the view of the ocean. The breakfast was awesome and the waiter was so so nice and calm, very attentive. Their staff is amazing and helpful. Cleaning service also was awesome, they made your room spotless each day. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. The experience was unforgettable. The most relaxing place we could have ever gone to for our honeymoon. For couples this place is a haven and perfect escape!

This is one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed, the rooms and facilities are well kept, very clean, and down right stunning! The view from thr room as well as from the entire property is just breathtaking! The staff are all super friendly, helpful, and determined to make your stay one of a kind. The food and beverage for both breakfast and lunch are incredible and the fact that they source as much as possible from their very own garden and other local sources really impressed me. The hotel is scrupulously clean and so quiet and peaceful. Our room was completely on its own with an amazing terrace overlooking the sea. Everywhere else around is so busy so the hotel is absolutely perfect to relax in.

We had a problem with our car to the airport not turning up and Marika spent nearly 1.5 hours trying to get us a car to catch our flight, if it had not been for her we would have missed our flight.
We will return here very soon for another stay.

Also, a good choice of restaurants nearby which was ideal as well.

A beautiful gem of a property located in Praiana, which is in my opinion a much nicer town than Positano. The grounds are stunning, with a great pool and hot tub.

We have been on a 3 week trip through Italy and this hotel by far has been the BEST! Marika at the hotel communicated with me via email before the trip helping me plan things to do for 10 of our friends. The hotel is the most beautiful property I’ve ever seen. The lunch they served when we arrived was amazing!!! We would definitely go back. Praiano is quiet but it is easy to travel to other cities. Best restaurant was In Pirato incredible views and delicious food!

Easy location form the SITA bus stop. We underestimated the logistics of getting around Amalfi area, but very convenient close to the local bus and the larger bus to get to further away destinations. Hotel was also super helpful booking a last minute excursion to Capri. And breakfast in the garden was just so peaceful overlooking the water. Beautifully maintained, quiet hotel . We loved our stay

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were amazing. Very helpful with all inquiries. They organise transfers if you require them, dinner reservations and will assist you with whatever you need. Couldn't rate this place any higher. It is absolutely beautiful. If you know how to ride a bike i would recommend hiring a scooter as it makes it a lot easier to travel around the Amalfi Coast and there is parking right outside the hotel. The buses can get extremely packed and at times you may not fit on. Do your self a favour and stay at this hotel.

The property is even more beautiful than the photos can show, and every element of our time there was outstanding - from the service across the team, to the quality of the food, to the amenities available. Marika especially was incredible - the most helpful host we’ve ever had. We couldn’t speak more highly of Villa Gianlica and were so sad to leave! We will be back.

We stayed for 2 wonderful nights, the place is a real oasis on the busy Amalfi coast. Room was very comfortable and the gardens and pool areas are really well looked after.
There is no restaurant but staff are very helpful in making bookings, including Il Pino who pick you up and take you back to hotel. Great breakfast.

A Boutique hotel with less than a dozen rooms, personal service and very attentive staff. The room has its own terrace, with well kept grass, with the spectacular view of the Amalfi Coast and the Salerno bay. The room had its own jacuzzi, and three levels below, there is another jacuzzi. A level below from the room, a beautiful pool: all with the amazing Amalfi views. The same for the breakfast area: full breakfast with breathtaking view. The Hotel helps you book table at any of the three restaurants just minutes walk from the Hotel. A bar is just across the street. Pre-order parking if you come with your car. Located in the higher park of Praiano, the bus stops at the hotel and takes you straight to Positano. Great value for money given the service, view, location.

Just beautiful!! The decor was clean white & bright. The view was spectacular with your own private small yard/balcony to enjoy. The property is big and a lovely area of discovery. The back area is tiered with a lemon grove that offers shade to relax & read. The next tier is a tranquil pool area and chaise lounges. Below that a beautiful garden. The hotel offers breakfast daily where you’ll meet Tomas the MOST wonderful host. The team uses most of its ingredients straight from their fabulous garden. We utterly enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

I loved staying here. As a solo traveler it was a very friendly quiet experience. I loved the room, the balcony, grass & trees! The fresh breakfast was so special with produce from their garden. The bus to Positano & other connections stopped across from the hotel. It is a very neighborhood feeling but very private, too. Having a lemoncello spritz before the bar closed at 8 was a special nightcap. Ciao the best to your special place!

Where do I start… this little hotel is absolutely fabulous the views the place itself is pure beauty. The gardens are maintained by god himself the pool is spotless not a single fly in the pool or anything. The service is out of this world basically anything you need. The lunch that they make on the spot is by far the best I had in the Amalfi coast. If you like seafood their seafood pasta is second to none more seafood then pasta!!!! Unreal!!! for only like 14 euros!!!!! And the view that you have during your lunch is breathtaking the only reason you have to leave the hotel is dinner because they don’t serve dinner but not to worry because couple of steps away there is a nice restaurant. For me it’s a must come back. Oh and the rooms you might guess by now are very clean and like new. Greetings from Poland

The area didn't look great to us, but the hotel was very nice. Excellent service, comfortable, clean room. We were shuttled (for free) to their restaurant and our meal was excellent. Good breakfast in morning. We took train to Rome airport and weren't sure how to get shuttle out to hotel since we weren't leaving until next morning. Taxi to hotel was 25€ shuttle back in am was 7 per person.

We had the most amazing 11 night stay at Villa Gianlica! As soon as we were taken to the most beautiful room with the most amazing views I knew we would love it! We had our own little garden blacony with deck chairs overlooking the ocean! Every morning I would wake up and watch the sun rise which was stunning. Breakfast was amazing! So much choice and super yummy! The hotel staff were so helpful from start to end. Rooms were kept clean and made up everyday with fresh towels and linen ( the lady who did the rooms worked so hard to keep it all so nice for everyone!) The pool area is fabulous! Had my morning swim and relaxed there most days - it was far to nice to leave and since the sun was always on us through the day there wasn't any need to be anywhere else! Drinks were brought to your sun beds by the pool which were so comfy! I also loved loved loved the brushetta they served at lunch! We came here to relax and that's exactly what we got to do! So quiet and peaceful! Will be back! Positano is very close and we took the bus right outside the hotel but it is very busy so was happy to get back to Praiano! There is also a local shop Marino Tutto per tutti were you can buy drinks and snacks! Awesome shop and the owner is so lovely! Absolutely amazing stay!!

The grounds are beautiful at this hotel with full sea view. Overall, pleasant experience except that the lights above the bathroom sink was not working and 1 out of the 3 bulbs of the only light for the bathroom above the shower was also busted and although i asked about it on the day i checked in, i was informed the electrician will repair it the next day but it was never repaired. Also, on the 2nd night, i requested another blanket, but was never given to me.

There was only one problem with our room that we addressed with the staff: our bathroom light had some kind of short that caused it either to not turn on, or it behaved like a strobe light. They weren't able to fix it during our three day stay. But, the natural light from the window helped.

We would absolutely come back! Beautiful property overlooking the ocean. Special touches, like hammocks, an outside library, fountains and amazing balconies are all around the property. The staff, especially Ariana, was helpful in making reservations and booking taxis for us. Great food and drinks too! Hidden gem and a perfect place to unwind and recharge! It's a 15-20 minute hike down stairs to the local beach (which we didn't mind and actually enjoyed after all our eating) but if you have knee problems then probably not an ideal location. Stunning views!

The hotel is as lovely as the pictures suggest. The breakfast is simple and delicious. The service is outstanding. We had a 3rd person and they were able to arrange a single bed (not a foldout or rollaway) but a proper single bed for the room for 35euro per night extra which we were very grateful for.
The pool area is lovely and the surrounds are quiet and pleasant.
The only slight complaint is the mattress on the bed is not amazing, bit hard and bumpy it could definitely use a mattress topper to add more comfort but overall an amazing experience and we would return.

Villa Gianlica is a perfect choice for couples wanting a romantic stay in a beautiful location set within the Amalfi Coast within easy access to Amalfi and Positano. Unlike a lot of the larger hotels, Villa Gianlica has modern, updated facilities, with a beautiful patio and pool area that has a view to die for! Each room either has a sea view balcony or a little grass terrace so there is no such thing as a \"bad\" room. Praiano is a much smaller and quieter town than Positano so it allows for a much more relaxed atmosphere and easier access whilst still being close by to everything which is great.
