My wife and I stayed for 12 nights at this hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hospitality started before we departed as we received an email a week earlier with a warm welcome and hotel instructions which are important because it is in a small town without big city facilities.

We arrived late at night and since the restaurant was closed, the personnel offered complimentary finger food and a nice drink. Our room and all the common accesses in the hotel were impeccably clean and orderly. The equipment is modern (LED TV, Nespresso machine, climate control, exterior retractable awning…). The staff is very attentive and proactive to the guests’ needs (our car was turned around each time in the parking lot, cappuccino is served at breakfast without asking…). There are more subtle details that made our stay pleasant and without problems.

There was a road blockage due to a fallen rock off a cliff and we were not able to go to the west of Praiano (Amalfi, Atrani, Ravello….the best part of Amalfi Coast) by car or bus. Suela, the owner, was very helpful in arranging alternate transport by shuttle, taxi and ferry.

The wonderful staff made the difference in our sojourn and rendered it even more memorable. This is a family run hotel and the people are passionate and love what they do.

We also loved the charm of Praiano and felt welcomed by the residents in the shops, or meeting them along the paths and steep staircases. . The locals made us feel like we belonged here.

Nice place in a nice friendly community. I took a day trip to Positano. Nice. But it had a feel that it caters to tourists at the expense of authenticity. Parianno was the exact opposite. There is a quaint restaurant down the street. The same staff were there each night. The grew to know me and seemed happy to see me. I was out running one morning as I do every other day. One morning later in the week as I ran by, one of the waitresses seemed to be waiting for me and gave me a pastry as I ran by. I enjoyed my time there.

This is a beautiful hotel in a peaceful town. So happy we opted for this hotel rather than staying in the jam packed Positano. The views from our balcony to the sea were spectacular as were the stars at night. My husband enjoyed watching the tuna school up and jump in the sea. All staff were wonderful and accommodating .

The room and view was nice. The hotel is in a good position with beautiful views out to sea. The free shuttle was really helpful too to help us get to the beach and also on a boat trip. The staff are warm and friendly. The restaurant upstairs though pricey, served tasty, good quality and well presented food. The pool was small and more of a sit in and get cool pool than a swimming one, but I knew that already. The only issue with the pool was that there were some tiles that had come off somewhere and were cracked and sharp at the side of the pool luckily I spotted these as my children and someone elses were playing around the pool. The thing I liked least was simply the toilet roll holders were individual squares of toilet tissue instead of a roll - they are fiddly and unhygienic.

Top notch- Hotel Margherita sets the standard for service, attentive staff, responsiveness, convenient shuttle to areas of interest. They even sent the shuttle to collect us when we walked to a dinner restaurant that went down hundreds of steps and weren’t able to hike it back with kids. Love that they offered parking on-site (across the street). The check-in was great but then the staff was not always great- particularly one gal in the front desk/reception area. There was one with darker hair who was always on point and then the other lady who had lighter hair was awful. She had a terrible attitude for no reason, I heard her making snarky comments in Italian to another colleague which I guess she didn't realize I understood and was always just unpleasant. Breakfast was nice and you can order items that were not part of the buffet. Pool area was smaller than I anticipated; it also fills up quickly and the sun hides by mid-afternoon. Not sure if I would return, honestly, it was not bad but the staff was inconsistent.

We loved our 2-night stay here and would have stayed longer but it was the end of our week-long trip.

The hotel is a gem and the staff were so attentive. We missed our bus and they drove us down to another stop. It is also a 15 to 20 minute private bus ride from Positano so it makes it very convenient. And there are plenty of places good restaurants in Praiano.

This hotel is definitely one a kjnd with quiant and relaxed vibes. Small ans intimate the staff are unbelievably helpful cant do enough for you.
The restaurant is amazing also and ee did in house cooking lesson with margherita herself this was amazing.
Breakfast was amazing also and we had a five star treatment massage in house was amazing.

Our stay was excellent. The staff is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The facility was lovely, well appointed, and comfortable. The restaurant was unbelievably good, so good we chose the eat there several time. The hotel is conveniently located right on the bus stop. There was nothing about our stay with Hotel Margherita that we didn’t rave about. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to make it our “base of operations” in future trips.

I was blown away by the hospitality of the staff, the cleanliness and comfortability of the room, and the area in which Hotel Margherita is located. You’re within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, and even a hiking trail (The Path of the Gods). You’ll also be not too far away from Positano, which there are shuttle services provided by the hotel that’ll take you there. My wife and I chose the half-board option, which is nice if you’re looking to try out some local restaurants nearby as well as the room service options. The food was absolutely amazing there as well. Hotel Margherita’s staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when it came to getting transportation to and from Naples airport. Honestly, this was my favorite vacation of all-time, with Hotel Margherita being a big contributor to that. 10 out of 10 we’d definitely recommend Hotel Margherita.

Margherita Hotel’s personnel was very nice and friendly. They helped us with all our needs. The location is great, skip Positano and stay in Praiano. You are in the middle of the Amalfi Coast and you can easily reach the other locations.

Property is great! The breakfast is full and you can ask for anything from the kitchen. The pool is small but still a great spot to relax. The restaurant in the hotel is really nice and the rooms were nice and clean. Staff is super helpful in helping you organize your stay. My only down side is the location is not convenient. There are not many other restaurants nearby or anything to do. It’s at the top of the hill as well. There is a small grocery store nearby. It is close to the Path of the Gods Hike and there is a bus stop out front of the building but the bus schedule is sparse. The hotel does offer a free shuttle which is very helpful. I would definitely stay again!

Great base for exploring the Amalfi coast.

Brilliant staff, nice rooms. Rooftop bar has amazing views. A little bit out of the way but the hotel has a free shuttle bus and the local bus stop is right outside the door. This takes you into the heart of Positano and picks you up 5 minutes from the harbour.

If going to Amalfi, beautiful hotel, great staff

This hotel was recommended by close friends who actually got married there at the hotel. Did not disappoint! Beautiful hotel, beautiful views of the sea from our balcony, comfortable room and bed, great breakfast and lunch sandwiches from restaurant. Room service available, also had many shelves of books-which was great for me! I read a couple while I was there.
The staff are all wonderful and super helpful and knowledgeable.
We went to Positano by bus and they make it super easy to get to the bus. Bus tickets available at hotel.
We rented a car at Rome airport and drove to this hotel-~4 hrs, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING ON AMALFI COAST. It’s super narrow and treacherous conditions.
2 close restaurants we visited, walking distance, Kasai and Che Bonte. Highly recommend!

The hotel has done a lot of work. Try to make guests enjoy a good holiday. The breakfast is rich and diverse, and the staff is very enthusiastic. The only thing missing is the inconvenient transportation. Although there is a bus stop at the door, it takes a long time to go to the scenic spots on the road, and sometimes the bus is very crowded..
