The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Great option for the price. Walking distance to one of the beach clubs, and there is a little wine shop and convenience shop a couple mins walk as well. Perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to stay away from the tourist crowd.

Our stay at this beautiful property was relaxing and wonderful, surrounded by lemons and an amazing view of the Amalfi Coast. Every room has its own little garden with beach beds and area to take a sun bath.
The staff was the real crown of our stay, they went up and above to meet all of our needs. The Restaurant was vibrant every night with delicious food and wine.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved our stay. Dining was also lovely. Special thanks to Katerina, Fillipo, Jeraldo, Giovanni & another gentleman that always served us at dinner & regrettably, I can't remember his name but was very charming to us. Our only negative was the room was too small with very little closet/dresser & wifi was a little iffy at times. The balcony was lovely with stunning views! We would definitely go back again!

We enjoyed our stay. Our room had an amazing views that we loved. Location was good because it's close to bus stop and there is a walkable beach and nice restaurants. The restaurant of the hotel had lemon trees and an amazing view so it is really pretty but food is average. The bathroom was not too clean there was hair everywhere. Our second day off stay they put fresh towels on the bidet and we hated that. Also bathroom smelled really weird even after they cleaned. So except cleanliness of the bathroom we had enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I stayed at Costa Diva for 4 wonderful days, the place is well maintained, everything is blooming, beautiful and clean rooms, the staff is very helpful and the food is delicious and fresh, we ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed delicious food and great service. I would like to give a special mention to Caterina who gave us personal and good treatment.

We really enjoyed our stay at Locanda Costa Diva. Katarina was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a convenient location to the beach and walkable to nearby restaurants. There is a bus stop right above the hotel and you can get tickets at the wine shop adjacent to it. The breakfast was decent and dinner was fine. This would make a good place to make as a home base. Also, our room was a really good size for 4 people. It had a balcony and lower terrace area for sunning. The view was magnificent from our room. You'll be happy with your stay if you book here!

The property itself was perfect, however, it was quite a long way from anywhere. It was a struggle for my dad who needs a walking stick. The nearest beach was lovely but a very long walk down slopes and stairs. The town was a good 20 minute walk, again, up slopes! Not so bad for the more able but very difficult if you struggle with walking.
The hotel was beautiful! Each room was set in its own area with its own outside area. Good choice of breakfast and menu for lunch and dinner.

Terrible!! I traveled with 3 girlfriends and booked a room with 1 double bed and two twins but we got 1 double bed, 1 single sofa and 1 rollaway bed. We complained but instead of switching rooms or giving a decent bed, they offered to charged an additional room. One of my worst nights i have spent on my trip since the rollaway was full of bed bugs which I got bites all over the place.
They only removed the sofa and rollaway the next day after we continued complaining even though the hotel was almost empty.
The food is not good at the restaurant!
I don’t give 1 star to this place because the view is amazing and Franco the old man who helped us with our luggage was very sweet.
Bad experience!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Locanda costa diva. The buffet was so delicious and they have eggs and bacon guys! Not just pastries which was a pleasant surprise. The service is remarkably! All the staff is simply amazing and always willing to help with a smile. Praiano is the perfect location if you want to be away from the tourists. You can walk to the bus stop and ferry. Bus stop is a 2 minute walk and ferry about 8 mins. There’s a convenience store right next to the bus stop making life so much easier in case you need snacks or water or sunblock. Etc. I never made it to the beach area since I always took the bus into either Positano or Sorrento.,,, Oh and Fiorno di Furore is literally 6 mins away via bus in Amalfi direction. Amazing! You must see this hidden gem

Love the family!!

This family hotel is gorgeous in every way. The food is outstanding; the friendly service is heartwarming; the rooms are lovely and the view breathtaking. It’s important to wear very good shoes and to be in good health. There are lots of stone and tile steps to climb and descend from your room to the restaurant to the beach and up to the street level.

Charming with good views

Nice little hotel tucked into the side of the Praiano hills. Well located for beach and restaurants - as long as you don’t mind walking up and down a fair few stairs. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, well equipped and had a lovely little terrace overlooking the sea. Possibly could do with some updating but generally in keeping with most Italian hotels in their style. Breakfast was a little disappointing - hot options were not as nice as we hoped, but good sweet pastries and lovely homemade coffee all served overlooking the sea. Overall a nice stay and good value for money, but could possibly do with a few tweaks to make it perfect.

Worst stay. Closet size room. Unfriendly hosts.

How can I express my disappointment after traveling for two days straight to reach my dream destination on the Amalfi coast well.

Well to begin with I became very familiar with the upper parking lot as I waited for 42 minutes for the bellhop to come and take my luggage I assume he was very tired as he only took one piece of luggage my friend and I drag their suitcases down endless lights of wobbly steps to finally arrive at our room. Save it.

Now I use the term room loosely I believe my closet at home is slightly larger toilet paper was scarce the sheets were itchy and once we shut the door it felt similar to being in prison.

Not want to get down easily my friend and I made our way to the terrace for lunch overlooking the Amalfi coast we envisioned fresh bread and grilled seafood.

Two hours later a couple of glasses of warm wine rubbery octopus with a green salad minus the greens and for muscles our lunch was complete.

I of course could go on and on about what a disappointing experience it was but the icing on the cake was a beautiful breakfast that was served on the terrace which consisted of jam and Italian version of Twinkies one yogurt if you were lucky to get one yeah two pieces of soda two pieces of fruit and a coffee if you were lucky enough to flag someone down.

Hungry and sweating we left and dragged out luggage afterwards.
Theses people are the most unfriendly and inhospitable hosts I have encountered in Italy

This Diva is ‘all fur coat and no knickers’

We cannot believe this hotel scored 9.2 on Hotels.com. Our room appeared to be a converted shed, it was small, badly lit, with the advantage of having the function space for weddings as it’s roof. We were lucky enough to stay whilst a wedding took place - at no time did anyone in the hotel mention we may be disturbed by anyone let alone a whaling Italian pub singer singing 80s British music badly. The room was cluttered with chairs that weren’t needed, the wardrobe wasn’t fixed to the wall so opening both heavy doors caused it to fall forward.

The are outside was poor, it was not only completely away from the other rooms but appeared to be the only room with no tiled area instead we had dilapidated boards patched up badly in places (and not patched at all in others) with an abandoned jucuzzi and leaking outside tap.

The breakfast was by far the worst I think we have ever experienced in an Italian hotel. The boiled eggs were frozen, the chopped fruit was tinned, there were some biscuit/cake things that didn’t move at all whilst we were there, the scrambled eggs were dried up, crispy on the edges and the juice was watered down.

Just awful, as shown in the photos below - you won’t see see this room featured on their website.

Peaceful location with stunning views

A very nice stay at Costa Diva. The room was a lot smaller than expected but the view over the sea on the small balcony/outside area made it worthwhile.

The restaurant is lovely - a stunning location under lemon trees looking over the coast. The food was really good - the pasta with lemons and oranges was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was standard cold meats and cheese etc.

Staff very friendly and helpful.

It's worth noting Costa Diva is not directly in the centre of Praiano, but there is a local bus that can take you to the centre and the SITA bus stops directly outside the hotel which goes to Positano/Amalfi/Sorrento etc.

You are, however, a short walk from the Marina which is beautiful, and a nice, quiet spot when compared to Positano/Amalfi etc. Just be prepared for lots of stairs all around the Amalfi coast!

The location can not be beat. The service here was great. Rooms were always clean and the staff was always friendly. The free breakfast is a real plus and my husband and I enjoyed looking out at the sea while drinking our homemade cappuccinos. We felt right at home here and we did not want to leave.

Likes: The view from the room was outstanding and just absolutely beautiful. The Staff were also very friendly and helpful and assisted us in arranging a boat tour to Capri and Vespa hire.

Dislikes: The door to our room had a gap at the bottom which allowed bugs to enter the room including, mosquitos!! The property is quiet rundown and is due for renovations. The room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. My partners knees literally touched the wall when sitting on the toilet and he is not tall! The room is also hard to access with hundreds of stairs down which you will need to carry your luggage (not suitable for large suitcases).

The hotel restaurant is under lemon trees and you sit facing the most incredible view of the ocean and the Amalfi coast. This family run business is exceptional! Wonderful service, amazing view, fantastic food, and excellent breakfast. We stayed down in the garden on the cliff in a separate room. What a view! Great area, close to the beach which is great. The staff are pretty friendly and will help you plan activities or find good restaurants. The room is less than desirable, fine if you're just looking for somewhere to stay for a night or too but the AC would sometimes quit in the middle of the night and the rest of the room accommodations (shower supplies, bed linens, wifi) weren't the greatest. The view from the deck is AMAZING though!! Just as pictured.

Parking available on site 15€ but on my travels through Italy I have learned specially in Amalfi, you can park right outside in the street, just look for an area where cars can park. And drive carefully 😉

Maybe I was confused when I booked the room? We booked six nights but are leaving after two nights for another hotel. No refund, but thats how it goes.

Don't even think of staying anywhere else.

This place was so far beyond our expectations that I would like to personally thank everyone there for giving my wife and I a perfect stay at this exquisitely beautiful spot. The sea views, the location amidst a 6 acre grove of lemon, orange, olive and grapefruit trees was spectacular. The food was simple but extremely fresh and the service great. From the very start of our visit Locanda Costa Diva was outstanding. The staff, room, free “real” breakfast and facility were fantastic. The view from our room was amazing. The gentleman who checked us in brought our very heavy luggage to our room. That’s a feat in itself considering the Amalfi coast should be nicknamed the coast of a million stairs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything about it. Praiano Italy is quiet and a perfect getaway in between the bigger busier resort towns nearby.

A scenic gateaway

The hotel was on the ocean side with great views from every where. Very natural and scenic look all over the walkway to the rooms, restaurants and the paths. The only issue was that the room was a long walk to the other side of the hotel using over hundred steps up or down. You have to be physically fit to be able to climb the steps so many times every day.

The property was charming and in a perfect setting. The staff attended to your every need with a smile on their face. The father, daughter and brother owners made you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The food was amazing and the views were to die for. The lemon trees and numerous flowers added a beautiful touch to the gorgeous setting. There were lots of nooks and crannies to relax, play cards, have a refreshing afternoon snack or beverage. The staff was constantly working to keep things fresh and kept. I would return in a minute. The town is on the quiet side which we loved after a very busy trip. However, we were right by the bus stop to go to the other Amalfi cities which we did each day. Then, we could return for a quieter evening away from the hoards of people in the other coast towns. We also did the Path of Gods walk one morning and would highly suggest it. Amazing experience and views. This hotel is quaint and adds the personal touch to any visit. The staff work so hard and are there to help you with anything you need. We were all very sad to leave, but look forward to our return.

Take a trip back in time!

Beautiful place! Rooms are like going back in time. Ceramic tile bathrooms and balconies with unbelievable view of the water. The breeze blows in at night and you sleep like a log. The restaraunt is ambiance friendly! We ate two lunches and three dinners here. Every meal was great. You sit in a lemon grove and look out at the water. The food part is a bonus! You are below the road so it is very quiet. And then the people! Katarina and her brother and father are so friendly and nice. They took great care of us and we left with new friends! We hope we can return someday!

Nice alternative to busier places on Amalfi coast

Great place to stay, easy to find, has its own parking (there is a fee), nice restaurant (food / staff and pricing really good), views are amazing, we had our own balcony overlooking coast, reasonably priced and if needed they will transport your bags up and down the stairs to your car (all of amalfi coast has stairs). Try Praiano and this hotel.

A beautiful setting

Set below the costal road, on the nearly vertical plot of terraced lemon groves, this hotel occupies a surprisingly large area. Rooms come with huge private terraces and unobstructed views of the sea which is right below you. We woke up to the scent of citrus blooming and the sound of waves gently lapping the cliffs below.

This is a wonderfully situated hotel, right by stop #10 bus stop in Praiano. There are numerous tables and chairs scattered amongst the tiers of lemon groves, perfect for some al fresco eating, and the restaurant itself is first rate, and actually quite reasonably priced.

My wife and I spent two nights at Locanda Costa Diva. The scenery is breathtaking. The rooms are very nice and have either private or semi-private terraces. The grounds are beautiful, with lemon trees everywhere! From the time we arrived to the time we departed, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant on the first night and it was fantastic! We have no regrets and wouldn't hesitate recommending Locanda Costa Diva to anyone.

Looking for something breathtaking and authentic

This is definitely off the tourist trail but so worth the visit and money. It's breathtaking with stunning views and outstanding food. The staff are lovely warm and friendly and can't do enough to help.
The local beech is 10 minutes away and some lovely restaurants and boat trips...it is do much nicer than other parts of amalfi and extremely peaceful.
However if you like convenient and don't like steps I'd say just go for dinner - but otherwise this gem is not to be missed...

Amazing hotel right on the water in Praiano

Locanda Costa Diva was pretty remarkable. It is a series of rooms on many different terraced levels, along the slope down from the road to the water. It overlooks the ocean, which is an amazing view to wake up to, and from it you can see pretty far along the coast in either direction. The room was nicely laid out and, especially for the very reasonable price, completely exceeded our expectations. Filipo, the manager and go-to-guy was warm, helpful, and very friendly, and we connected with him on a personal level, which made our stay even better. All of the staff there were great.
The hotel has lots of orange, lemon, and olive trees, as well as ornamental plants, in its many gardens, and is worth staying at just for the value of exploring the grounds. The hotel restaurant's food is delicious as well.

Amazing views and lemon trees!

It would be difficult to improve the location or room. We had a stunning view of the sea,complete with full moon and stars dancing on the water and sunrise over the sea in the morning. The staff were welcoming and the food was excellent.

Couldn't sleep due to beds

The bed was horrible and we barely slept (just two old twin beds pushed together). The room had one small window that looked out over the restaurant. So much for that wonderful view. Our \"private balcony\" was actually the walkway to two other rooms. This was the most expensive place on our trip and we were actually glad to leave....

The owners actually replied to others who reviewed the beds and said \"if only you'd told us\". We tried this and the response was \"well the pervious people didn't complain\". They eventually reluctantly changed the beds with the room next door which were no different. The staff treated us as if we were being really picky, and we just felt awkward and sleep deprived for the rest of the trip.

I very rarely have a bad word to say about the places I've stayed. This place however, I'm still saddened that we were fooled by the good reviews months after the fact.

I will never be returning here. If you do choose to stay here, do not settle for the standard rooms!! You couldn't pay me to stay in there again.

Romantic and Relaxing

I stayed at La Conda Costa Diva in mid-August this year and I must say that it was a high point of my 1st trip to the Amalfi Coast. The Staff was exceptionally helpful in booking transportation and a day trip to Capri, and the service of too many Cappuccinos with the tasty complimentary breakfast was greatly appreciated. The picturesque view of the Mediterranean from open air dining area as well as the private terraces from the rooms was breathtaking. I have never seen fresh lemons growing above my head while dining but that was part of the scenery every day. You should be aware that Praiano is not as busy a town as Amalfi, but it is a short bus ride to get to this more cosmopolitan town.

Magnificent view but hotel needs upgrade

The first night was in a very poorly and dated furnished room with a bad smell from the drain. We requested single beds but that did not happen the first night. The mattress was so incredibly hard I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. We requested an upgrade and the room we moved to the second night was triple the size of the first with a beautiful balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. Still the furnishings were shabby. The bathroom was amazing, large and clean. Their restaurant was incredible for dinner and had amazing fresh fish. They did not mention the steps (42) to get to Reception. Not for physically challenged individuals.

Lovely place to stay away from the crowds!

We stayed at Locanda Costa Vida for six nights in the Rafaella room. The views were stunning. My only complaint was that people from the restaurant would walk down and take pics from our veranda which we found very intrusive, as we are two young women who were trying to relax. Another con was that anytime we had lunch or dinner there they charged us a €2 p/ p cover charge which was ridiculous considering we were staying at the hotel. Also be aware there is no lift & you will have to walk up & down steep steps to go any & everywhere! Otherwise, this is a lovely hotel with great service.

Great Service!

The service at Locanda Costa Diva is top-rate! Everyone was very helpful with every request and quick to respond when there was an issue. (When we returned from our day trip to Capri, the power in our room was out, but turned back on within minutes of reporting the issue.) The room was dated and small, but sufficient. The wi-fi was spotty, but we weren't there to surf the internet all day! It was a short walk, on a narrow curvy road!, to the beach access, which included a lot of steps and steep ramps, but that's Praiano for you! The breakfast buffet had a good selection and dinner was amazing.

Best hotel at water fro in center of Amalfi coast.

Very helpful and friendly staff.
Restaurant has great choice of food and bar at very reasonable prices.
Hotel rooms are spacious and priced very reasonable.
Other hotels charge $500.00 plus per night for the same view.
We picked a hotel in a central location and then used the bus and boat to go to Positano, Amalfi, Salerno etc.
Because driving your own car here is asking for trouble.
Plus parking is a huge problem everywhere.
Boat tours and boat rental as well as the beach are 10 min walk from hotel.

We will book again.

We were booked the superior double room, which included a large private balcony overlooking the Amalfi coast, Room Fedarica. The view was very beautiful and the extended balcony area was great. The only down side was the bed, which was two double beds pushed together. However, talking to other people from other hotels, this seems to be a common thing. Unless you're willing to pay mega bucks for an American style queen or king bed, don't let this scare you away from this hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that is very popular, I would call it upscale. Unfortunately, my wife and I don't like seafood, so we ate most of our meals at another restaurant in Praiano.

The standard room is a bit small but the bathroom was large. The terrace was shared with another room. The restaurant was lovely overlooking the amalfi coast under the lemon trees and flowers. Location was convenient. Friendly staff.

Praiano/Positano just great,

The location has to be the best of the Amalfi Coast. A great place to stay. Buses to Positano and all the way to Sorrento very close by. A most delicious breakfast with a great variety is the cream on the cake. All in all a most enjoyable stay is on offer here. Premises are very clean and well appointed.

This is possibly one of the most beautiful settings for a hotel you could imagine. Lush gardens complete with lemon grove overhanging the restaurant, and a comfortable bedroom, complete with balcony with stunning sea-view along the beautiful Amalfi coast. The hotel restaurant is excellent too. Car park attendant helpful in rather tight car park. Hotel situated off main road, on side of cliff with lots of steps, so wouldn't be very suitable for wheelchair users or disabled. Check location before you set off as my gps couldn't find address.

Very lovely hotel

This is a beautiful hotel. It's 3 stars so don't expect mod con spa, but it's far better for that and one of the nicest places I've stayed. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Waking up and sitting on the terrace overlooking the beautiful blue sea was lovely. The breakfast is fantastic and the restaurant in general is superb.

Thoroughly recommend it, a great gem in priaino.

Great Hotel , in all parameters

Greate Hotel, Great room view stuff. with parking !!! and the price is also OK for this expensive area. the Hotel is alocate outside of the main towns in Amalfi coast but it's very close by waking to a very very sweet coast with a great resturant Trattoria Da Armandino.

This was one of the worst travel experiences I've had in 20 years. when I was shown to my room it was NOTHING LIKE WHAT WAS ADVERTISED ONLINE. My room was a walk up, no balcony, the lights on stairs didn't work (not safe for a single female). I could not open windows as they faced the staff eating area. I accidentally locked myself out of room and they were able to \"help me back in\" using a screwdriver and pushing folding door in - again not safe for a single female. I then asked for another room and was abruptly told there were no other rooms available. end of discussion. rather than ruin dinner I had planned with friends I decided to make no more waves and decided to shower for dinner. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER....I suffered thru after 13 hours of travel. I then went to blow dry my hair and THE HAIR DRYER DIDN'T WORK EITHER. while I was supposed to be enjoying dinner I looked for another hotel nearby - luckily I was able to find one....the thought of staying by myself, away from main property, with no outdoor lights and a door that was clearly not secure scared me to death...

Nice place, amazing view, helpful staff

This hotel was lovely. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was great. When we couldn't get a taxi for dinner one night one of the staff drove us in his car. So nice of them.

The location is good. Ten minute walk to the beach, very close to both local and sita bus stops.

Best place to stay between Amalfi and Positano

Excellent choice when you visit positano or amalfi and especialy if you have a car. We had a wonderful room that was separated from the hotel over the cliff with amazing views from the balcony. Great staff. Excellent restaurant for dinner . Hope breakfast was a bit richer.bus stop is 2 min walk. Would definitely recommend.

The dinner was great at the hotel restaurant, breakfast so so. The staff is helpful especially antonio and catalina.

Friendly, family run hotel

We had a wonderful 5 days at Locanda Costa Diva. Fantastic service from the friendly hardworking staff. We were pleasantly surprised to discover our room was on its own away from the main accommodation building and so had a private courtyard with lemon trees overhead and beautiful sea view!
Good varied choice for breakfast , and sitting underneath lemon groves in the sunshine overlooking the sea was absolutely amazing !
We hadn't planned on eating at the hotel every night, but after a busy day walking miles or sightseeing it was great to return to the restaurant for our evening meal. There was always a table available and a warm welcome. We tried many dishes on the menu and enjoyed it all! House red wine was delicious served in jugs, which we could take back to our courtyard.
The hotel was very quiet and relaxing during the day and at night.
