This is definitely not what we expected. There are no amenities - no TV to watch a movie at night and we were bombarded by stink and lady bugs in the room. I know this is out in the woods but definitely expected more than what we received for the price. We left a day early. The breakfast was great but as far as being intimate it most certainly had no privacy at all if that is what intimate means. You can hear every conversation or noise in the rest of the house so there was no privacy for ourselves either. The views are nice but so was our view from the holiday inn we stayed at the night we left early. For half the price

What an amazing place for a quiet retreat. Our hosts were wonderful, made delicious breakfasts, and had great stories to tell. The place is beautiful. No need to go anywhere. Just relaxing in the huge living room with a book watching the humming birds come back and forth on the deck was perfect. There's also a great trail to hike and if you're lucky, you might even cross path with the three goats that roam freely in the woods.

Wildberry Lodge went above and beyond our expectations. This was my husband‘s first time staying at a true bed and breakfast. I wasn’t sure how he would do without a TV in our room (we are both big tv watchers). It was totally NOT an issue. There was a loft area right outside of our room that was so homey and had a large TV. There was also WiFi that allowed us to use our phones to access whatever we would normally watch on tv. Ken, Glenda, and Darla were amazing and so welcoming . The breakfast was so beautifully prepared and served each morning. We were full until dinner!! I highly recommend this place. It is well worth the few minutes drive from downtown Asheville to stay in paradise. My husband did not want to leave.

Wonderful Gem in the Mountains
What a gem in the high hills of beautiful Asheville! Ken and Glenda were wonderful hosts. The lodge had a very homey comfort feeling. Breakfast was tasty and they were accommodating when we requested more veggies be added to our entree. The hot tub was a nice way to wind down and relax our sore muscles from hiking the Pinnacle all day. Forgot that some time had passed from the last time we tackled a day hike on a vertical climb. We would love to come back and stay at the lodge. Met some wonderful people there. Purchased some items that Glenda’s sister hand-made. Can’t get this anywhere else! You can tell the hosts take great care of their business and treat guests like family. Love that.

The Wildberry Lodge was everything i was expecting and more! Ken and Glenda were amazing hosts, they were friendly, polite, and fun to talk too. There's 3 dogs that live at the Lodge that are very friendly. There's goats and cows that graze the land nearby. We didn't use the hot tub since we went in the middle of summer but it's nice to know it's there. Ken and Glenda are in the process of making a hiking path that we briefly explored but I believe they said it's over 2 miles long at this point. The views are gorgeous! I recommend getting a room with the mountain view but if you get a room with the hill view, the patio is big enough that you can watch the sunset from there.
You can tell that Ken and Glenda have put in a lot of time, effort, and love into making the Wildberry Lodge one of the best Bed and Breakfasts.
My only complaint is that we only stayed for a single night. We'll be coming back for sure.

We couldn’t have loved it more. The food was incredible. We wandered the grounds. We mentioned one morning before leaving we may use the fire pit that night and when we returned they had wood, kindling, paper, s’mores fixings, and cushions all set up. We’re a very active couple but two days of rain forced us to stay in and play cards and nap. We loved it

We stayed two nights in the Gooseberry room. The room had a balcony with a breathtaking view. We also enjoyed very much the jetted tub and the delicious breakfast prepared by Glenda in the morning. A Wonderful Place to Stay
I chose this particular B&B because of its location in western NC and its fantastic scenery as shown in the pictures on the website. Mom & I wanted to visit Asheville and the quaint shops downtown along with the awesome dining venues in Asheville. The Wildberry Lodge's staff is very welcoming, hospitable and friendly, even the 4 legged ones. We stayed 3 nights in the Blackberry Suite, where we had a private balcony to enjoy the mountainous views and wine. The breakfast is very delicious, filling and prepared individually. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting the Asheville area.

We were looking for a place to book last minute (same day) to spend 2 nights before heading to Charleston. Not only is it very difficult to find a bed&breakfast that is willing to accommodate a same day reservation, but many frown on late check-ins. Our hosts went above and beyond to accomadate our needs. What a pleasant shock when we arrived...our room/suite was AMAZING. The pictures did not do justice. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin Suite, which was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was very good and the wine and snacks that is served in the evening was even better (and generous). The view and scenery was incredible. We had little desire to even leave our cabin or venture off property. We will definately return and disappointed to be heading to Charleston, even though that was our planned destination. If I could cancel our reservations there to be able to stay at The Wildberry Lodge longer, I would. I am already planning on when we will be able to return. Thank you so much to our friendly hosts!

Best Honeymoon Experience
My wife and I stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin for our honeymoon. The cabin could not have been more perfect for the honeymoon. The cabin is detached from the main lodge so the seclusion was perfect. The mountain view from the cabin was breathtaking. Being situated less than 30 minutes from Asheville made Wildberry Lodge the perfect location for privacy but still close to area attractions and dinner restaurants. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible. We really enjoyed talking with Ken, Glenda, and Bonnie (the chef). They are all very personable and hospitable. We definitely will be going back again.

This bed and breakfast is absolutely stunning! Ken and Glenda are wonderful hosts who share their luxurious home and their knowledge of the area. The gooseberry room had a stunning view of the mountains that you could watch from your balcony. The 2 person Jacuzzi and comfy bed were wonderful. You could also enjoy the common areas which were anything but common....a lounge area with tv, microwave, fridge and comfy couches, a beautiful main room with incredible fireplace and a wall of windows, and a playroom downstairs with a pool table and a shuffleboard table. A hot tub, large porch and fire pit complete the outside areas of the bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.

We stayed for just a weekend and I wish it had been longer! We stayed in the honeymoon sweet and was beyond what we expected, with the huge fireplace, great view from the balcony, a full kitchen, and bathroom with a double shower and spa tub. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. They make a great breakfast too, some of the best food I?ve had! They also offer a dessert and glass of wine at night on top of breakfast which was unexpected but nice. Definitely a great place to stay and worth every penny

Last minute so we got the smaller room, facing the hill. Wish we upgraded to bigger balcony room, but were not offered either (we were the only ones 3 nights of the 5) Single tub, no shower, but a spray nozzle. No TV's in rooms. There's two common areas with TV's and sofa's- limited channels available, however, there is a large collection of VHS to choose from, but really, is that why you're there anyway? Game room has a pool table, TV, Skeet table & treadmill. However, that is where the cats live so there's cat hair everywhere. Goats were entertaining to watch.
The Views are Beautiful! Coffee was ready as promised at 7am. My dietary needs were met (lactose intolerant), thank you. Early mornings the deck furniture was, of course, wet from the dew, so I asked for a towel to sit on to drink my coffee. However, after I asked the first day, the towel was there each morning afterwards waiting for me.
3 dogs and 2 cats, so if you have allergies you need to consider this. The dogs are friendly, and they have the run of the place, inside and out, including the furniture, so if you don't like dog hair also need to consider this. We have dogs so it wasn't a big deal to us.
Would have been nice to sit in the outdoor Jacuzzi after returning from a long day of sight-seeing, but it had a cover on it and it wasn't offered up, however, this might be on a need to ask basis, but we didn't ask.

The stay at the Wildberry Lodge was wonderful. Ken and Glenda were great host and very friendly, the rooms, food, and the atmosphere was great for the get away my wife and I planned for our anniversary. The lodge was a very intimate and inviting place, and I would recommend going in the off-season if you want to avoid the crowds. Also, if you have the option drive a SUV or a TRUCK! The hill up to the lodge is very steep and not made for low cars or less powerful engines. Overall, a great stay and I would recommend it to other couples.

The Wildberry Lodge Service was outstanding from the food to the rooms & service ! The Lodge is secluded and a absolute beautiful place to stay , I can't begin to express how fantastic this place looks from the massive fireplace to all the antiques in the lodge .The people who own the Lodge are extremely pleasant along with everyone that works at the lodge are very helpful . I also enjoyed sitting on our deck & seeing the goats and cows each day. My husband & I are planning to go back for another trip in July .
