There was absolutely no maid service had to deal with it own trash. No breakfast which they said we would have. Electricity was not good. Couldn't plug more than 1 thing in at a time. And the stairs were covered in ice and snow. Someone fell down stairs and they didn't care said they couldn't do anything about the snow and ice. Had to go get our own towels. There was no iron. The toilet rocks when you sat on it.

For an economy motel, they have a surprising range of amenities. From a large fridge and microwave to a balcony, pool, and bbq grills and picnics tables, they rival higher star class hotels. The driveway entering the motel is a bit confusing and has several large potholes. Be alert for those.

Save your money and stay somewhere else. We didn't even stay there, because when we tried to check-in, she said that the room I reserved was taken. There was literally no one there. The place itself was behind a restaurant that is shut down and in the back where it was "shady" looking. The place smelled odd, and the breakfast area was a joke. There were little animal statues outside in the grass that just looked horrifying. Do not stay here, we are so glad that we didn't.

The outside of the property is dirty, old, and falling apart. It looks like the start of a horror movie. the staff aka the women who LIVES in the office was rude. we accidentally booked a smoking room. My husband called 3 times to make sure it was switched to nonsmoking. When I got there she still had it in the computer as smoking. Interior of the rooms was fine but felt like i needed to update my shots to go up the stairs to get to it. So gross

This is a horrible hotel. Not worth what I paid. Should have cost $30.00 dollars night, not $112.00. Do not stay here!!! When i looked at the photos on the website, they had to be from 10 or more years ago. The place is in need of serious upkeep. In the bathroom above the shower, there was black mold on the ceiling. There was one electrical oulet that clearly had been overheated and was burnt around the plug-in. There was a couple of orher electrical outlets that the covers were missing and wires were exposed. When i pickup up the TV snd cable box buttons to turn the TV on, all of the batteries were missing and there were no backs to either set of buttons. The lights switches were broken and there were even lightbul

The pool closed and coveted in july. Many areas to play but nothing set up and most broken. Lawn long and although pretty to look at full of holes and ruts so not good for kids to run on!
Breakfast was old cereal almost gone and outdated yogurt so not good at all. There was a waffle maker so that may have been ok.

just use caution....

I mean its ok. Would i stay here again? Maybe if NOTHING is available. The view and the quietness made it worth it. As well as the lovation to everything. The room needs an update BAD! Hole in walls, the door looked like it had been kicked in, beds are hard, drainage sucked in sink and tub, bathroom vent had a hole in it. Rooms need more attention.

The staff was really helpful in finding dog friendly dining. Ground floor had a little patio that went straight onto the lawn. was useful for walking your dog. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but in need of updating. Our room had a hole in the carpet and the bathroom fan was extremely noisy. There was no way to turn it off since the light was on the same switch.

Inexpensive and functional, but not not quite the Ritz. The property could use some TLC in many areas. The people were friendly. The noise from I-40 is pretty bad, so take earplugs. Not terrible for a quick overnight stay.

Did a last minute reservation on Orbitz on the road since the interstate closed due to an accident during a snowstorm. Booked a non-smoking king bed room. The room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke and had two full sized beds. The toilet seat was sitting on the floor next to the toilet and there was a big hole in the wall. Fortunately, got notification that the interstate had opened back up so we go out of there. Would rather sleep in my car.

America's Best is the Best!

Completely, 100% satisfied with everything... especially service!
This was a business trip, as we came to town to perform a music show. After the show, a family member became ill and had to go to hospital. So an overnight stay developed into multiple days.
I must say that Candy was phenominal and went above & beyond in making sure we had anything we needed!
...Thank you Candy! Thank you America's Best!...We definitely plan to stay here upon our return and strongly encourage others to stay here also!!!

Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Torn carpet. Worn out furniture. Burn holes in sheets. Sorry pillows. Had to ask for ice bucket. No vending machines. Old brown bananas in checking room. No admittance to check in room or fresh coffee at 8 am. Litter everywhere. No trash receptacles outside. One ply bath tissue. Sorry coffee pods in room in addition to terrible water. Will never stay here again.

For the price, this motel is ok. It's clean and convenient. There is some deferred maintenance like; no cover on bathroom vent, no battery in smoke detector, and a loose tile on the floor.

The clerk at check was extremely rude, taking our credit card but not telling use where our room was nor the internet password. She used as few words as possible. On Saturday morning the maids came to clean at 8:45. When I asked if they could back in 15 minutes as we would be leaving soon, they told me "no". They gave me extra towels but did not take the trash or clean. On both nights the man in the room above us was stomping around his room at all hours. He had bags of trash on his back porch. The one positive was the check-out clerk who was friendly and listened to my concerns.

This was a last minute reservation when my husband and i decided to head to the mountains a day early. The check in clerk was not friendly at all and acted like we bothered her. The room was simi clean. The TV was busted and not working and the chair was so stained that it needed to be thrown out. Would not recommend this place

Friendly night staff but the rooms have some issues. The tub drains very slow. The toilet moves considerably. The sheets appear to have what seems like blood stains and the beds have bugs crawling all over them. I'm glad I'm in a room with two beds but I still can't sleep because I'm still worried about the bugs..... During check out no one was there to check me out even after I rang the bell several times so I decided to call by phone and a lady answered and I told her I was waiting to get checked out. Then she comes out from the back with her face all swollen because apparently she was sleeping. Btw I have pictures and a video of the bugs on the bed.

I like the idea that its right off the highway and easy access to continue on your journey.. Breakfast items was everything dry and cold.. horrible! Great service, concerns about condition and rates

The manager was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean. TV was a little wonky (picture was too big for the screen; it probably needed to be calibrated) and there was a large hole in the drywall. The room was really warm when I arrived and the air conditioner took forever to get the temperature down. I did appreciate how private the balcony was and how quiet the area was.

All in all, the rates here are too high for the condition of the hotel. $75 (that's with a discount) doesn't seem appropriate for a room that isn't half the quality of a $150 room. If the price came down to something like $40–$60 per night, I'd stay here again for the excellent service.

Don't judge a book by it's cover! When we first arrived it looked a little scary and I was hesitant about staying there. I decided to check in anyway since I had already paid and was very pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and pool was very nice. It also has a nice breakfast with waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast and other things. I would stay here again if I came through this area.

Check in was easy, they had my reservation ready and at the price quoted by Expedia. Hotel was older but had had some renovations. Room was clean. Continental “breakfast” was very limited, muffins, waffle maker but no cup to measure batter, only whole milk was offered for cereal and there was no other beverage except coffee. Okay for one night but wouldn’t stay longer.

Everything was OK; except the eating area was terrible. It was not stocked; it was not clean. Evidently a family had started to have breakfast; found out there was no milk, etc., and just left. When we brought it to attention to woman there, she got milk, but left everything else a mess, and left to finish her phone call. Won't stay here again.

The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The AC worked. Everything was nice. The TV had a messed up screen, but it was still a very nice TV, There wasn't a comforter on the bed, but we don't use them so it wasn't a big deal. Overall a nice room for a decent price.

Nothing to like.
Poorly maintained, breakfast was zero, wasn’t told it was shower only-wife couldn’t use it.
When I went to check out a young woman was talking in the phone with a friend and wouldn’t get off to take care of business. I dropped the room “keys” on the counter and walked out. She never said a word to me.

Trying hard but lacking on the details

Furniture is old, chipped, marred. New sink, faucet, flooring but vanity itself was bare wood except for remnants of past formica. Breakfast is really a joke - but that's not why we stayed here. Accepts pets and has what appeared to be a well maintained swimming pool. Tile grout was on the wall, walls needed to be repainted. Nails in walls where barrier was placed during remodel. Needs to attend to details.

The hotel was under renovation. While our room was not completely finished, it was still very clean and completely functional. The bathroom fixtures were all new, a new TV, and excellent wifi. Even though the hotel is near the highway, there was almost no noise (the property is up on a hillside).

This is an older hotel with spring mattresses. The room didn't have the hair dryer and, even though I asked for one, the hotel didn't give me one. The breakfast was sub par. The waffle maker spray and batter was out, no bread or bagels to toast, only muffins and danishes. Hard boiled eggs. The cover was spotted. It was quiet unless someone turned on the water above you! Over-priced for the level of value. Not a lot close by for kids. We stayed here only to visit Bryson City. Could have found a better place for same price if I would have booked earlier. Convenient to 24-hr gas station, Burger King, and Bojangles. Was clean enough. Be sure you don't book a smoking room by accident. Won't stay here again.

We stayed here as a budget option for visiting Asheville (about 20 minutes away). First of all, know that Canton is a paper mill town. If you're not familiar with paper mills, they have a very distinctive odor most people find unpleasant. The odor was most noticeable in the mornings, but we never noticed the odor in the room. I grew up in a mill town, so it was not a huge detractor for me, but I might have made a different choice had I known this when booking the room.

The room was clean, although the areas with tile flooring could have tolerated a deep scrubbing. I was a little nervous when I noticed the bed had a spring coil mattress, but it was surprisingly comfortable.

The biggest issue I had with this hotel was the noise level; the owner needs to do something about the plumbing and pipes. Every time you turn the water on or off, the pipes rattle and clunk in the walls. Not so terribly bad until you realize that the pipes in your wall are clunking every time ANYONE uses water. The hotel was completely full during our stay. Full of people who wanted to take showers, use the toilet, wash their face, brush their teeth. All. Night. Long. Not the greatest situation when you've got an interview in the morning.

Maybe it was just the end of the hotel we were in, or maybe it was just ground floor rooms, or maybe it was just our room (102). I don't know. But our stay was miserable. I won't book a room here again, not when there are plenty of other options.
