I think these are my only (minor) complaints:
- There are always a few sugar ant ‘scouts’ roving around.
- The bathroom exhaust fan seems to run continuously, no matter what you do.
- You may hear muffled voices or footfalls from other guests, varying by location.
Pros:
- Convenient location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. My favorite is actually just Pollo Loco next door; the Mexican food’s great, the people are down-to-earth, and they try to be accommodating of dietary needs.
- Site and buildings are laid out in a ‘pocket neighborhood’ that feels both private and communal. Constant DIY improvements add to the charm. Guest rooms each have a private exterior entrance. The vibe this creates is tremendously restorative.
- Outdoor seating, stream and pond, and lawn with games all feel so welcoming.
- So is the main building, which has a communal kitchen and comfy living area with fireplace, seating, books, resident cat, and a garage door open to the lawn when it’s nice out. This creates no-pressure opportunities to compare tips with other visitors — which can be helpful and loneliness-curing for solo travelers.
Spend your money here instead of at a corporate hotelier!

I really enjoyed my stay here. They’ve done a very nice job of this lodging experience which consists of several smaller houses with individual rooms and bathrooms and then a community room that everybody uses for kitchen, games, fireplace, couches, lounging, coffee, etc. I highly recommend it and will be back.

This is a very cool property. The rooms are a bit sparse, but comfortable. Outdoor and indoor group picnic areas and other amenities for groups of outdoor enthusiasts to hang out. The biggest problem was the room smelled overwhelmingly of sage (or something) and we had to open windows for a couple hours while we went to dinner.

This is a very fun place to stay. The room was super clean and nicely appointed with a comfortable bed. The shared community room had a clever way to store food in a communal fridge and one can cook and prepare meals as well. They have a nice coffee bar. Great location!

The room was clean and the staff was helpful. We were in a large room that was closest to the busy road and some members had trouble falling asleep because of the traffic noise. The ceiling fan in the bathroom could not be turned off and several of the burners (electric and propane) in the kitchen were broken, so people were queuing up to cook dinner. I would stay again

Rooms are minimally equipped, but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and adequately stocked. You have a coffee/tea shop with chachki on site and restaurants and the bakery on either side. I would use this as a ski or hike trip stopover every time! The property is right on Main Street with setbacks and a cute/smart setup.

This cabin like accommodation is very cute. Communal dining area, laundry room, barbeque back yard, and etc are also cute and you can just walk in a minute to them. Very unique stay and an alternative to a regular hotel stay.

Bed was comfortable, however we had a private room and it smelt of stale urine and the floor in the room was sticky, so you had to wear shoes. It had tiny little windows which made it feel very clinical. The communal area was nice. Based on the room, which we paid over $200 for, we wouldn’t go back.

Super great location, very well managed and maintained property, really pleasant products, very clean and nice. Can't recommend the Sabrina room or staying at the front of the property. Did not get a lot of sleep between the traffic on Main Street, the light coming in from the front porch, and the guest upstairs walking around after midnight. I'm sure the rooms further back are great and the rest of the property is quite enjoyable

We knew it was a guesthouse/bivy type of situation, but we were unaware our room was a 'micro' room, where one side of the queen bed required that guest to climb up over the other to get out of the bed. The light for the bathroom, immediately on the other side of the bed, is sensored and the switch is on the backside of the bathroom door, so whenever you use the bathroom, the guest remaining in the bed is blasted with light. The switch really should be on the other side of the door. It's too small of a room for a pleasure trip, but the price was fair and it was clean. We probably won't stay there again, but it's budget-friendly and perfect for a tired hiker or driver who needs a quiet place to sleep. No TV, no frills, but safe and plenty of parking, charming property, and the community room with coffee and refrigerator space is a big plus.

This is a quaint and pleasant place to stay - especially after a 6-day backpack. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And the grounds are inviting. It is tucked away in the middle of a busy area - with several restaurants in walking distance. Even still, it felt like a bit of paradise among the hustle and bustle. I will definitely return here again.

We enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor gardens and really liked the community space. Access to a washer and dryer was awesome. Enjoyed the free all-day Mt Whitney Coffee. We loved Lucy, the Eastside cat mascot. Lucy so sweet. The Eastside Staff were wonderful. We would stay here again!

In our case, a family with a toddler running laps. The staff did say they would take care of it if it continued past quiet hours. None of this is a dealbreaker, but definitely something to consider if it would bother you.

Nice place and fun area. They tried to put my bride and myself ( seniors) in a \" Bunck house \". I had surgery on my back and couldn't lean over enough to get into bed.

They obviously don't have a real desire to have repeat business. ( This was our second stay with them in 6 weeks).
I get it, big tourist season. We were already there, with a reservation, arrived at 9:30 pm.
Oh well, the mighty dollar ruled the day.
Room was clean and the bed acceptable. The \" blendor\" needs to be replaced, the shower temperature is not stable.

This is the most adorable property with a little pond and lots of communal space! The staff are superbfriendly and helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again!
