The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the parking area felt safe, which we appreciated. One issue was the extremely strong detergent smell in the room, which affected our breathing. The front desk mentioned a fragrance free detergent was purchased but may not have been used. Hopefully this can be corrected, as soon as possible!

Honestly, it was perfect. The front desk was very friendly, the room was clean and spacios. The shower was spacious with great water pressure. Came with a fridge and microwave and tv with many channels to watch. I also forgot my toothbrush, and luckily they had disposables! So that nice little touch was the best lart for me. Just book it.

This hotel was a hidden gem a little ways off the main road. Don’t let the condition of the exterior deter you, the interior of the rooms are beautifully renovated. Staff was also really nice!! Perfect for a quick stopover in Bishop!

New favorite spot in Bishop! Decided to try this place despite the overall poor reviews, and could not have been happier. I never leave reviews but feel like I have to share how great our room was, seemingly recently remodeled, clean, and very well-priced. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely be back!

Awful. The AC is too small for the room and it never cooled down at night enough for a comfortable sleep. The ac was so inadequate after we took showers the entire room heated up like a steam room even when we opened the bathroom window.

The fridge didn’t work properly, even though it was set on 3 it froze all our food.

The pool was not open.

The room was dark, dirty, and the bathroom was gross and moldy. I have pretty low standard when it comes to motels and this place really stunk. Absolutely not worth the money.

The location was perfect! We could walk or drive to get food or site see. We went fishing while in Bishop and the hotel had a cleaning facility and freezer available which was wonderful! Outside our bathroom window were horses, so that was a beauty site in the morning. Overall, wonderful stay for the price. Will definitely be back.

Overall a good experience - clean room, friendly staff, quiet area (although this was the middle of the week). The air conditioner was missing a few pieces that meant all the cold air just hung out near the ground; it also didn't have the capability to turn itself on/off in response to changing temperature, which required some manual control.

It was okay, nothing special. The grandpa at the front desk was kind of a grouchball. The mini-fridge froze everything. The TV was tiny and the remote worked intermittently. The shower was like being under a garden hose--it couldn't be adjusted. I stayed three nights and no one straightened my room, emptied the trash, etc.

I didn't care much. It was clean, quiet, and relatively cheap, and that was what I was after.

We had a great experience especially after booking online and not knowing that we had to specify or call the Motel and let them know that we needed downstairs due limitations of disabilities. So when we arrived the office Management worked feverishly to accommodate us immediately although they were sold out. And we greatly appreciate them for going the extra step to help us and being very pleasant about it! We suggest others also stay there too as they're very helpful, pleasant and local to everything.

Best Value for Money for Bishop Stays

Nice easy check in process. Mr. Shah checked me in and had my paperwork ready. I've stayed here several times in the past. The place is really great value for money compared to other Bishop places. It was quiet, had a small fridge, good heater/AC and free spacious parking. No frills but cozy. It's a 10 minute walk to the 395 if you want to walk and eat in that area.

I was the only guest. But I think this motel takes in homeless. The manager had my room next to homeless and their huge dog kept barking! The smell in the room was very musty. The room was not Covid ready. I desinfected the room. There were huge spi-der webs outside the bathroom window. I paid too much!

The WiFi was not working (and the owner knows it), the pool is closed. Cigarette butts all over the parking lot and outside the room. The bathroom window had no mosquito screen, and only opened after i removed a wood block. The corner with the fridge was so dark, I used a flashlight.
This should not be listed on Expedia!

No wifi....I could see it as did the manager, but it would not upload. manager said this is a big problem with many people/
floods/tile need to be cleaned better. my feet were black just walking around the room.
TV had many channels-thanks.

Room 119 had a used hand towel in the bathtub when we arrived. Bathtub, windowsill, and other areas did not look to have been cleaned.

The towels looked to have been very good quality at one point. Solid and thick. But threading was pulled out and they looked well used.

There was black and yellow marks on the ceiling in the bathroom. Looked to be like mold. There was no ventilation in thr bathroom, so mold makes sense.

There was also what looked like a single rodent dropping on the bathroom floor.

Faint smell of urine in the room.

I did like that the bathroom and bedroom were separate.
The man who checked us in was very pleasant.

If there’s nowhere else to stay in Bishop, this place will suffice. But there are much better places in town. I’ve stayed here twice and probably won’t stay again. Management is friendly enough and the price is reasonable; but the accommodations aren’t particularly clean, and one gets the feeling they haven’t taken proper precautions during the pandemic (although maybe I got this impression because of the person coughing nonstop with their door wide open a few rooms down from ours).

I liked that it had a pool, it was over 90 degrees all 3 nights I stayed but the pool was closed and there were no signs of it opening back up. Irritating. It should say when you book that the pool is closed! There were only 2 vending machines, but neither one was stocked and plugged in, so you couldn't get something to drink. No coffee in the breakfast room in the morning, no coffee pots in rooms. Was the least expensive motel available but the difference was less than $20. Won't stay again unless I have to.

The manager, Raj, is in the process of bringing a somewhat rundown motel into top shape. The room was excellent, comfortable and clean. I was without a car for three days, and Raj gave me a ride to a grocery store to stock up on necessities. He went far out of his way to make sure I was doing well.

It is way overpriced! The bedroom and the bathroom are plain dirty and ghastly with fingerprints around doorknobs and dust collecting on the baseboards. The vending machine was out of order and I had to drive to the gas station to get some juice. The wifi password was nowhere to be found in the room. As for the desk clerk, he leaves at 10pm, so because I checked in late after a 6 day backpacking I was out of luck! The \"breakfast room\" is this pantry room attached to the swimming pool where no one ever comes to clean or refill during the breakfast hours. Im not picky, but this place is AWFUL!!!!

It’s the cheapest place in town so expectations were low. The trash pile around the garbage dumpster didn’t bother me as much as the cockroach in the breakfast area sink, total health hazard. The WiFi didn’t work. After logging in, I only got: No Internet Connection. I was awoken several times in the night by the upstairs neighbors until after 3am. Possibly drug use going on there with the shady characters I saw around the place. Spend a few bucks more for the Super 8.

I went to check in and the person in the front desk wasnt nice, the only thing he asked me was how many people were going to stay in, and when i told him that we were 2 adults and three children he told me that we all couldnt stay in one room because supposedly only 4 fit, and when i booked the room i put 2 people by error. He didnt give me options to stay, and they didn't give my money back, i lost 119 dollars

I had faudulent charges to my credit card after staying at this motel. I thought it was odd that the desk person asked for my credit card when I had already paid the bill through Expedia. Only the day after getting the call from my credit card that there were 4 charges to my card I did not make and one of these charges was from a place in Bishop, CA (which I bought nothing there - only giving my card to the motel desk person).

The fish cleaning station was a mess. Not kept up. Rooms are pretty bad. I started staying there with my grandfather 40+ years ago. It was always kept up nice. Sad to see the conditions it is in now. They need to do a lot of updating and cleaning up. We will definitely stay at another property on our next visits.

The bed was ok plus. Towels were ancient & no longer white so we didn't shower due to the fact that they appeared dirty. Shower itself was not well maintained. Bathroom pullman was extremely low hitting me just above the knee (I'm 6-3); the giant mirror felt out of place. TP holder was broken off wall. All 3 upholstered chairs were stained & filthy, so we only sat on the bed. Makeup mirror had a 4 light fixture but no bulbs. Phone not working even after I plugged it in. We requested a ground floor unit but were told none were available; hauling luggage up weather worn stairs no fun. Next day, at 0600 only 8 cars occupied the area. Stay anywhere else!

Not much to say: The place is like the description says. No frills and a place to stay. Bare necessities are provided but do not go here expecting a stay at the four seasons. We did encounter an issue with the light not working after getting to the room but was quickly fixed once we let the front desk know about it. Place was clean if a little dated. However given that we had just gotten off the JMT trail, this all felt like heaven. Front desk people were nice too.

Not the most friendly of welcomes. Room was nice and big but not very clean. Bath towels were a grey brown colour, had to stand there to dry after coming out the shower as not sure what was on them!! Husband went to get our breakfast, told me not to even go in the breakfast room!! Hotel could do with a thorough make over and alot of TLC. My husband told the manager our concerns who didn't seem bothered at all.
