Our room was lovely, modern and clean throughout. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking at the property. Beautiful 4 star house/hotel.
There was an event taking place when we arrived and there was no space in the restaurant for us for dinner, however the hotel staff were able to recommend their sister pub in the village, which was a very friendly traditional pub and we ate there.
We can strongly recommend the full Scottish breakfast at The Abbotsford which was delicious.

A cosy hotel in classic Scottish style. On the downside, it was quite hot at night, and there wasn’t even a fan in the room. Also, the breakfast wasn’t very tasty, although there is a wide choice of breakfast options. As I had the ‘Light’ option with salmon and avocado, the avocado was either spoiled or pickled in something spoiled, because it had a very strange taste.

The Abbotsford was a lovely place to stay while spending the weekend in Callander. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was affordable and delicious, and the location was quiet. Only real complaint was that the door to our room would bang when the windows were open even a little amount. Easily remedied by putting a towel or extra blanket on the floor at the base of the door. We would definitely stay here again.

With over 2 weeks in Scotland and staying in 14 different places, this was one of the best places we stayed. The bar area and lounge were very welcoming and relaxing. Dinner on site was great as well, along with service. Very clean and I would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Abbotsford. Staff are lovely and the property is lovely too. Facilities are great. It was nice and warm and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Earplugs and tunnocks caramel bars were a nice touch. Its good value for the price you pay. Decor is a little tired / dated so not quite a those cute boutique hotel vibes but honestly for the price its great.

As already reported we specifically booked a room with a bath as we were walking a long mountain day in the snow. Not only did we not receive the room we booked but when we got back cold from the walk the shower was not working. The duty supervisor very helpful and gave us a portable radiator as in booking in the room was cold and the bathroom radiator not working. Whilst we did not speak with the manager ( who remained unavailable for the 2 day stay) blamed Expedia for getting the booking wrong and seemed to just ignore the lack of shower. The lovely supervisor tried to help with a bottle of wine and we were not charged for one breakfast but this in no way made up for not being able to shower for two days

Had a great night stay in this old-looking building. The deco inside the building is very Scottish. The room came with 2 sparkling water and chocolate snack. One minus point is the clothes hanging place is small, there’s no cupboard. The location is 15min drive to Stirling Castle.

Recently renovated I'd guess, couldn't fault it. I would certainly go back again. One slight complaint, but seems to be common in the UK, not enough staff on duty, specially at breakfast time. One poor girl trying to manage the breakfast room and checkout area.

The hotel was lovely, good customer service and the room was a great size and well decorated. The bed was super comfortable but we had problems with a poor shower that didn't work properly for the 2 days we were there. The location is good and a 5 minute walk into the village centee Food in the restaurant was good, but breakfast took too long even though there went many tables.

We had breakfast both days (breakfast roll and full Scottish) and both both were fantastic but the New Years Eve meal was by far the winner, couldnt fault any of it.

The hotel is far enough away from big towns to benefit some lovely views and drives nearby and even has a waterfall and walks right out the back, but not too far from towns that you are isolated.

Whilst the temperature of the water was eother stone cold freezing or out of the kettle boiling with nothing in between no matter how minir the adjustment to the dial was.
