Layout of the room was quite odd, making it seem smaller than advertised. Though clean, pillows and bed were too soft for our liking. But the location is great - it's just a short distance away from the Liege station.

The surrounding area outside the hotel was questionable. There were some homeless people. Parking was offsite and a walk. The hotel is situated across from the Liege train station so for those who want convenient access to the trains, this is an ideal location. If traveling by car, the parking is inconvenient with limited access to drop off and pick up luggage since street is busy.
Breakfast selection was good.

Very convenient to start excursions from the railway station. The quality of the bed and bedding was great.

First impressions weren't good - the receptionists are behind a security screen, and you need to be let in through the main entrance, and its all a bit cramped in a corridor which made me a little wary of the safety of the area

The common areas are a bit dowdy / low rent and not as modern as portrayed and similarly bedroom furniture is a bit tired too. I also couldn't get the room cool enough but I was staying through an early spring hot spell so the central a/c might not have been engaged.

They were very kind about letting me cancel my third night (I had to get away sooner because of the strike) even though I had a non-flex booking.

Don’t believe the picture of the property! The real property was on a busy street with gritty restaurants around.
There was no ventilation and we couldn’t open windows (locked shut!) Saw no accessible stairs in case of emergency or just to use instead of elevator. No fridge in room, cups weren’t replaced daily and the towels looked like rags. There is nothing convenient to do in the area.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after a five-night stay, I felt it was important to share my experience.

The room (230) was clean when I arrived, and the front desk staff were courteous, though not particularly helpful when I reported the Wi-Fi issues on day one. I asked if it was possible to move to a room closer to an access point, but the request seemed to confuse them, and nothing was done. Wi-Fi remained weak and unreliable throughout my stay.

The room faced the afternoon sun, and with windows that couldn’t be opened, it became uncomfortably warm. The air conditioning wasn’t strong enough to cool the space adequately.

Water pressure in the toilet was very low, making it difficult to flush properly. This issue persisted throughout the stay.

Breakfast was underwhelming for a property labeled as an Expedia VIP hotel. The space itself was large and clean, but the food selection was limited, and the waffles were pre-packaged rather than fresh—disappointing in a city known for its waffles.

The hotel is located about 100 meters from the train station, which makes it easy to reach. However, the main image used on Expedia is misleading—it shows a nearby high-rise building rather than the hotel itself. When I arrived, I initially walked to that building thinking it was the hotel, only to discover it was a government office.

Overall, while there were some positives—cleanliness, a convenient location, and polite staff—the stay fell short of Expedia VIP expectations.

Excellent stay. Very comfortable room. Great location. Even after I checked out I had to go back because my phone had been stolen and the staff did so much to help me with WiFi and even a drink to calm me. Can’t say too many good things about the staff and their kindness. Will definitely stay there again if I get back to Liège. Thank you!!!

Give 116 a miss...

On arrival we were allocated room 116 by the reception desk at around 7pm and went immediately for dinner.

Unfortunately we found that this room is located directly above the entrance lobby under the flags at the front of the building so it was very noisy with Smokers congregating outside chatting until almost 2am.

Not what I wished for from this stay and as a returning guest. It would certainly put me off staying here again and the attitude of the morning reception person was not supportive when advised.

Super localisation en face de la gare

Bel hôtel renové, excellent service, juste en face de la gare, 20 minutes à pied du Vieux Liège. Épicerie Carrefour express juste à côté, plusieurs restaurants.

Seul bémol est si vous arrivez en voiture. Aucun debarquadère et place meme pour arrêter, il faut faire un bout plus loin, se trouver une place et revenir à pied pour l'enregistrement. Le stationnement payant intérieur est à 150 mètres avant d'arriver.

First of all the main image on the website is 100% misleading. The image of the tall curved building is shows as being the hotel is of a completely irrelevant building about 0.5km away from the hotel.
I feel as though I have been cat fished as the main hotel entrance is alone a seedy row of shops next door to a Burger King.
Once inside it is better, the rooms were basic but comfortable and the staff were always pleasant

The VIP Gold experience was underwhelming: You get four pieces of chocolate, 10 gram each. Eventually managed to negotiate late check out (only one hour). Had to show proof of reservation and program perks, reception didn't seem to know anything about their partnership with hotels.com. The hotel also fell victim to a data breach. The reception and management didn't deem it necessary to proactively inform their customers of that fact. When I brought up the phishing attempt while checking in, it was shrugged off with something along the lines of \"don't click on unknown links, not our fault\". Would I receive an update and official information on what happened? Sure, they said. That was two weeks ago and I haven't heard back. I'd expect a commercial operator to take more responsibility. Overall, an amateurish operation, dated furniture, and a general standard I'd rank as below what Ibis would offer. Close to the train station, at least something.

Location very close to main train station which is convenient. But these neighborhoods also attract less desirable people. For the old center you’d have to walk quite far. Staff very friendly and their English is good. Breakfast, as so often, is far too expensive. The Starbucks affiliate in the train station is not nice and there are practically no breakfast places and bakeries. There is a parking close by which is very convenient and cheaper than other public parkings since they have an agreement with the hotel. Ask the reception staff.

About the hotel and Liege

Everything about the hotel was fantastic! We had a few extra hours to spend prior to a business meeting for my husband so we went exploring. St. Bartholomew’s historic church and it’s contents (including a 12th century baptismal font) is outstanding and worth the effort to find. This is not a city that one would typically go to for touring, but it gave us good insights into a melting pot city in an industrial town. Everyone was helpful and courteous. The staff at the Tourist Information was very good.

We choose this hotel because it was located near the train station from Guardians of the Galaxy and we wanted to see it. However, the location is a bit far out of the city centre, so a lot of walking was done.
After we checked in, we went to our double room to find that the bed (mattress) was broken, one side was completely flat and you roll off the bed. They moved us to a twin room but still, it was not what we paid for.
The hotel was in need of some minor maintenance. The toilet holder was loose, the shower door had some loose fittings, the chair legs were wobbly.... small things.
It was a nice enough hotel for a weekend but if you're looking to be closer to the livelier part of the city, this is not the hotel for you.

We've stayed in this hotel twice. The entrance is not too inviting but inside is great.
Friendly staff, great rooms, clean and very practical if you need to travel by train since the hotel is just across the station. If you visit the city, ;there are plenty of buses going in all directions.

Hotel itself is older, but rooms are remodeled and are nice. Room we had was larger than average for a normal room in Europe, which was nice as well. Beds are decent, but not great. Large construction site currently (April '18) next door. Our room was on opposite side of this, so we had no issues with it, but be forewarned. Main train station with its very impressive architecture, Liege-Guillemins, is just across street, so great location if arriving by train. Immediate areas looks a bit sketchy, but actually seemed quite safe while we were there.

OK if you need to stay close to the rail station

Overall is OK but a bit expensive compared with other hotels in the same price range. The good thing is the hotel is very close to Liege Guillemins station (1 or 2 minutes walk). However, it is quite noisy. You can hear the noise from the street all night. Room is not super clean but acceptable.

The room was clean but there was no fridge which was really surprising and annoying as we couldn't have cold water and we stayed to attend the Belgium F1 and wanted to buy food to take to the race but we couldn't as there was not a fridge to keep it in. The tap in the bathroom sink was too small and each time you turned it on water sprayed everywhere and if you put it on hot the water nearly burnt you and it was difficult to wash your hands because the tap was too short. Also the breakfast was VERY overpriced for what is was. The location was good and close to the station.

Walking distance from the train. Quiet room when the windows are closed. Window key available from the front office if you want to open the window. Very cozy veranda in the middle of the hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Comfortable beds and linens. Fast internet.

Walking distance to city center is more than 1 mile. There are buses available if you need them. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great stay at this hotel

I came here on the weekend with my boyfriend for a short stay. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the railway station (which was great, because I loved taking photos there). It's also very close to several restaurants. Even though our room was facing the street area, it was surprisingly very quiet. We had the greatest sleep ever because it was so comfy and quiet.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice, quick stay in Liège.

Great Overnight for Train Travelers

Just across Liège Train Station this hotel turns into a perfect overnight stop, for example if on your way from the Netherlands to Luxembourg. The hotel itself is a three star property with four star ambitions and my room was both nicely sized, plus well equipped. I was very pleased with this hotel, the price was right, was was the service level.

Better than expected for a train-station hotel

The hotel is right across the street from the main train station in Liege and a few minute walk from the old town -- enough said? The area is pretty crummy with only bars and kabobs, on the other hand, the hotel is a little above what you expect for this area. The first impression is not so good, the front door is next to an abandoned storefront with a very narrow lobby leading to a narrow bar/breakfast area. Upstairs was better, the room was comfortable and clean with modernish furniture. I stayed for four days in June and the weather was unseasonably hot. The AC was not able to have much effect and it was extremely stuffy and warm in the entire hotel. There is a cabinet that probably held a mini-fridge but they didn't have one, so no cold drinks either. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping in the old town but about a 15 minute walk. The hotel was Ok overall but it would be better to stay closer to the old town.

Holiday stay to see city and visit others in that part of Europe (Leuven, Aachen, Cologne). Also to experience cultural attractions in Liege (opera, concert, art and historical museums, cathedral, churches, and interesting older parts of city).

Quiet hotel at train station close to city centre

The hotel is located right across the street from Liege-Guillemins train station. Despite that fact, the room and the hotel in general was quite quiet. The room was modern and comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and the hotel was close enough to the historic city centre to walk there in less than half an hour. Note: If you drive a car to this hotel, there is no parking available on site, nor close by on the street as the train station is \"right there\". There is first-come-first-served pay parking during the day on the streets starting about two blocks away from the hotel. This same parking is free in the late evening and overnight if you can find a spot.

Crossroads at Liege

This could not be in a better position for train travellers in Belgium. Superb view of the architectural masterpiece that is the modern station. Yes, I like railways but I also like a comfortable, well-furnished, large, quiet room and good breakfast and this hotel has it all. No restaurant- about its only failing.

This is a standard (chain) hotel - anonymous and keeps the standard. Across from the tgv station very convenient for business trip - places to eat around the corner, not too far to walk to the centre. Had a room with a blocked door to neighbouring room which is never good for noise and smell. Very friendsly staff.

Very nice hotel, close to train station. Room tastefully decorated. Nice having tea/coffee making facilities. The only negative was that the central heating had been left on 25oC and it took a while to cool the room down on our arrival. French door to outside space was locked.

IT WAS OK HOTEL. ONLY PROBLEM YOU WILL FACE IS PARKING. THE HOTEL DOESN'T HAVE ANY AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PARK SOMEWHERE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD AND WALK. IT WILL NOT BE IDEAL FOR PEOPLE WITH A LOT OF LUGUAGE.

Great choice for Lieges

This location is right near the central train station and is in walking distance to all major attractions. Personnel were very helpful and this hotel is well worth the price.

Close to the train station.

We used the hotel as a home base for daily train trips. Great location, directly across the street from the modern train station. Our room was very quiet, with a very comfortable bed. Just be aware that the modern faucet in the bathroom sprays all over. A bit of a walk to the old town section, but it was an interesting walk.

Great hotel and handy location

The hotel isnt much to look at from the outside but is lovely inside. Spacious rooms, huge bed and big bathroom. Good base to explore Liege, just a shame Liege doesn't have much to do
