It was a very pleasant stay in the perfect location in Tamarindo. Quiet and very comfortable at night. The pool was perfect for cooling off at the end of the day and also for breakfast the next morning. Beach towels were provided which was very helpful.

We will definitely stay here again. Great location, great staff and very clean. Because you are so close to everything it can be a bit noisy at night but I had earplugs and slept like a baby. You are within 100 metres of a grocery store, coffee shops and places to dine out. Best location in Tamarindo.

We liked that there is a large gate and security cameras in front of the property. The hotel is located just steps from many restaurants, shops and the beach.
The room was clean and airconditioned and we had a safe for our valuables.
Breakfast was included and every morning a different one was offered. My favorite was when Ms. Laura was making it. There is a nice pool area if you wish stay on property.
We will definitely return next year.

The room was spacious for a family of 4 adults. There was a separate room for each bed, which was nice. The common area was great so we could leave our suitcase there. The hotel is right in the centre of the town, so it's very walkable to lots of dining options and the beach. At night, it was quiet around and safe. We rented a car so it was great that there was parking on premise. The staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for groups!

We had a lovely stay in the 2bdrm poolside - highly recommend being poolside if you can! The staff was responsive and quick to resolve a mixup at check in, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast, which varied every morning, was fantastic. Pool was super-refreshing for a quick dip. Awesome location, easy to walk to just about anywhere. Resident kitties an added plus.

Karol was amazing but the other lady wasn’t as friendly. It was close to most everything but there was nothing else good about it. Our reservation said free breakfast, we went and asked the lady said $15 per person, the rooms are very old and outdated. The bathroom was horrible and most of all we were there 4 nights and had to go three out of the 4 nights to get clean towels and bring our garbages out. We did manage to get our beds made 1 night by housekeeping It has great reviews but I’m never gonna trust reviews again.
They did manage to book our pick up from the airport and drop off to Riu but the bad definitely outweighed the good

This is our second stay at Ten North. We had a small apartment with a bedroom, kitchen and balcony. The space is not fancy but clean and comfortable. It is quite and safe and a short walk to the beach and restaurant. The staff is nice and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

I loved my stay at Ten North Tamarindo. It is conveniently located across from a supermarket, a block from the best nightlife, and a block from the beach. It was very quiet at night. The pool is great for cooling off during the day. The room was spotless and everything worked well. The staff is very friendly and responsive. Great coffee every morning and VERY cold filtered water for filling your bottle.

What a beautiful oasis right in the heart of Tamarindo! Breakfast served by the pool with a field of horses behind us. Secure on site parking. Would definitely recommend. Bed was comfortable too!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and loved our stay! The table under the covered patio was great for playing games and hanging out when it rained, but also provided sun protection. The rooms were quite soundproof which I appreciated. We enjoyed both going in the pool and taking a short walk to the ocean, which the hotel conveniently had some chairs we could borrow as well as beach towels. Lots of dining nearby as well as a grocery store across the street.
The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had and included a smoothie and fresh fruits. The staff were very friendly and remembered preferences day to day. We felt very safe with a locked gate at night and a staff on overnight as well.
We would stay again when back in Tamarindo.

The spot was conveniently located with a walkable distance to everything in Tamarindo. With many shopping, restaurants, surf schools, coffee, shops, bakeries, and even tattoo and piercings. It is a quaint space, we got to know our neighbours as well, we all faced the pool, which was nice and refreshing after a humid walk through the city. Laura, provided us with great breakfast every single morning with a good variety. Would definitely book you again.

This was a great stay. Very convenient location to groceries across the street, multiple dining options and a short walk to the beach. Breakfast was different every day and cooked to perfection. It was so good that I would have felt guilty not tipping the cook - I think her name was Lara. My only suggestion would be to have a comfy couch instead of a 3rd bed in the seating/ family room area. It was a little awkward, our family of 4 gathered on a bed to watch our Netflix shows at night before bed but we made it work.

The A/C worked really well and the rooms were perfect for our family of four. The shower worked great. Our favorite part was waking up in the morning to the patio table set for breakfast and a delicious, fresh meal made as soon as we came out. Our girls enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed that we could watch them from under the fan on our patio. This was a great spot with easy walking to restaurants and the beach too!

You can tell everyone that works here cares about the place and the guests. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will be back for sure. It’s just off the busy street and the beach is a quick walk away. Grocery store, yoga/pilates, skate park, amazing coffee and more is just steps away. Rooms are great. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of four and we had the two bedroom apartment off the pool. The rooms have a rustic tropical vibe that is minimalist and clean. We did not try to cook so I can’t speak to those supplies. Linens were comfortable. Bathroom was pretty spacious actually for a small rental. Air conditioner worked well and the temperature was always comfortable. Pool was wonderful - kept quite clean and never too busy. We had a patio off the pool with a large spacious table and bench. We had the breakfast included option and it did not disappoint! They wait for you to wake up and come outside to the patio, where they’ve already set your table. The breakfasts were so good - cooked on the spot and lots of local traditional foods with local fruits and fresh smoothies. Definitely recommend! The hotel is on the small side, which gives it a very personal feel. It was like our own little private oasis in the heart of the town. Very walkable. A small group of staff were very kind and professional and helped whenever you needed anything. I would definitely stay again. Wifi is spotty, fyi

The building is U shaped with the rooms overlooking the beautiful pool in the center. The room had great AC and was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly even offering to let us borrow beach chairs if needed. Breakfast each morning by the pool was fantastic. My husband and I loved staying here for 10 days . The staff was amazing- very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the beach and town. Like others have said - it can be loud at night from the local clubs, but each room has a sound machine and it never kept us awake. I think a room on the second floor will help with noise reduction. There were very few parking spots, and you needed to slide a heavy gate open and shut as you drove or walked on and off the property. However, a small inconvenience. The rooms were pleasantly updated and lovely. We really enjoyed out stay there.

We spent a month at the resort and have nothing but good things to stay about the property and the staff. My only issue was the limited space there was for lounging around the pool comfortably. We chose to spend more time at the beach which was incredible.

We had the 2 room poolside apartment, it was very nice and clean. The included breakfast in the morning was amazing, probably the best included breakfast of anywhere I have ever stayed. The hotel is right outside from the supermarket which was awesome and super close to the center of Tamarindo. 10/10, we will be back!

We got an upstairs unit with mini-kitchen and fridge. It was nice to be above the bottom floor pool level since the lower floor rooms' patio opens right up to the pool area. Hotel is conveniently located. All the tour group buses pickup/dropoff conveniently from this hotel. Unfortunately, the front gate to the driveway is always closed so you have to manually push the large gate open/close every time you come in out of the property. Hard to do if you are elderly in age.

There is a reason this hotel is so highly reviewed. I traveled with my family and the staff, including Juan and Laura, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Unlike other travelers, we had no problem with the noise. The location is only a few min walk to the beach and next to restaurants and supermarkets. We highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel, it’s well worth it and the coffee is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!

I stay in a variety of hotels, ranging from budget to luxury. This hotel had great reviews for the price but I have to say it let me down. The pool area/breakfast make it to the 3 star level, but the rooms to me were 2 star hotel level.
Starting with the positives:
1. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and responsive
2. The rooms and property were clean
3. Air conditioning in rooms is great
4. Good location
5. Hotel set up driver (nacho) for me to and from the airport who who was great
6. I did not have breakfast at the property but heard good things

1. There were ants and some other type of bugs/spiders in my room. It wasn’t a huge deal and they weren’t anything crazy, but it was every day.
2. I would’ve preferred the doors to have some sort of dead bolt. Gate was not locked at 6 pm as stated, although they do have a security guard at night on site.
3. This is not the hotels fault, just the town is loud and the skatepark next door can be loud. Although, the hotel provides a sound machine which is a nice touch. I did have to fall asleep with headphones.
4. I did not think the bedding was comfortable (but again, you get what you pay for, I didn’t expect much more)
5. 2 out of the 4 nights i stayed I had cold showers
