What can I say? I was hauled off in the middle of the night, detained and deported, but it's not the hotel's fault. I don't know. I guess I won't be back. BTW, the bathroom smells so horrible.

Best Value Stay in Istanbul

This was my second stay at this hotel this year. I wasn't disappointed this time either. I had great view from my room of Haliç, Beyazıt and Galata Kulesi. That combined with the ferry connections from Kasımpaşa and metro connections from Şişhane made the city easy to navigate

Helpful staff; does what it says on tin

Thank you, Mahmut Bey! Excellent service from the night shift staff. I (embarrassingly) asked if he could wake me up at 06.45, as if it were the Grand Budapest Hotel haha. He was incredibly kind, and was super helpful. So, special thank you to him!

Besides that, the hotel does what it says on the tin. Bear in mind, this was literally the cheapest hotel in Istanbul (20 pounds or so I think). Cleaner than I expected. Location was great. Obviously, incredibly barebones. Istiklal Street was like 14-15 minute walk. Better location than I thought, though best to come with taxi at night, just in case. Overall, good market fit: Cheapest hotel in an expensive city, cleaner than I thought it would be. Good to come on a budget.

The hotel is far from touristic destination. Its dirty and have no dining options. The staff are very rude and hate foreigners. The area arround the hotel is questionable.

In General it was a good experience especially for people that’s looking for economic travel like me, although you have to walk 17 minutes ( not flat streets ) to get to the nearest metro station, but the location is good and not far away from any special and famous places.

A place to lay your head

Hotel was cheap and not so cheerful, but great for what I needed. Room was a good size and luckily well heated as the Istanbul weather was horrendous ! Bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine, could do with renovation as furniture was a bit dated. On a busy road but once in my room it was very quiet. Staff helpful, the day manager spoke better English than the night guy, but I was able to get by. No information leaflets about tourism sites but there is WIFI that seemed to work ok so found out some things myself, but he was able to direct me to the local bus stop that took you into the more touristy areas. A little off the beaten track and a bit of an adventure, but when comparing prices and willingness to use public transportation it was worthwhile.

Great Value for Istanbul

This hotel turned out to be great value. A private room with ensuite bathroom, a fridge, TV, WiFi and Aircon. All for a great price. All worked well. Şişhane metro is about 10 minutes away and the Kasımpaşa pier about five minutes away. With lots of buses nearby too. I would recommend for anyone on a budget.

The area felt more local. I felt safe. The gentlemen who worked the front desk on shifts were helpful with anything I needed. The bus stop was just a minute away where you could get rides to anywhere in Istanbul.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel and it was so noisy you could hear other people's phone ringing or they having a chat with their friends or family. I could not sleep well. Also, no hairdryer was provided. There is no bedside plug so you cannot use your phone or laptop whilst lying down on your bed. Also, I heard sex noise from the adjacent room at 2 AM and the bed squeaky bed noise.

Not sure if the hotel allows guests as one of my friend wanted to come and visit me whilst I was on holiday. So please check that before.

Positive comment - The staff in reception helped me measure my luggage weight with a scale as I was worried about it being overweight.

Negative - Taxi drivers struggle to find this hotel as I used taxi 6 times during my stay and they could only locate it 1/6 times.

The staff are great. The room is comfortable, with a view. The Wi-Fi is terrible, though. I can't stream shows. It's OK to watch Turkish television; there is cable. The neighborhood is lovely. It's inexpensive but close to Taksim if you walk up a steep hill. Overall I'm pleased, especially for the cost.

Very helpful staff & extremely convenient to walk to Taxim Square (15 mins) & Sultanahmet Area (45mins).

Very good bus, metro and ferry (kasimpasa) routes.

Uskan (or Oskan) sorry if I misspelt & Ali know the area inside out.

Staff also have a very good knowledge of Turkey in general 👍.

Perfect for solo travelers on a budget. Neighborhood is a 10 minute walk from the metro, if that, and has multiple restaurants across the street. The hotel does not have laundry services but there is a laundromat a minute away with reasonable prices.
Rooms had AC.
Would stay here again.

I have been to this Hotel tow times and it’s a good Hotel. The guy at the Desk is very Smart and Helpful and the Location is great. Its only 16 Minutes walk to Galata Tower and Istiqlal Street

Nice please overall, but there are some moments to consider:
1. No sound isolation at all, you hear everything everywhere, and others who’ll hear you phone’s vibration.
2. Housekeeping is not daily, whey can’t not clean it at all if you don’t ask.
3. No kettle in the room.
4. None of the windows in my room could close properly, so it was a little bit drafty.

BUT:
1. The location is very convenient to explore Istanbul.
2. Lots of shops and cafes of all kind nearby.
3. You can get to both airports by public transport, I did it twice, it’s a long trip, but comfortable enough.
4. Wi-Fi speed is workable, about 1Mb/s.

So I’d rather recommend it

The area has lots of shopping. The hotel is clean.

On the negative, the internet is not good at all, and you cannot call a taxi from the hotel. the staff tells you to go in the street, where you have to fight to get an available one that stops, after trying to get one of the 50 that drove by you.

The room and the bathroom were clean. The staff speaks English and is very friendly.

cheap, small rooms, perfect for people who want to spend more time exploring than staying at the hotel.
less than a 1 minute walk to a bus station which goes to eminonu bus terminal in under 10 minutes
located in a quieter part of istanbul, but close to transport links.
plenty of nearby shops, from a minimart around the corner to a soup kitchen that serves hot food 24/7.

It was very cheap,a good sized room and in a good location. There was no room cleaning done at any point, the internet was terrible and the guy at the front desk tried to charge me 20 lira to scan 1 piece of paper. I am not sure if that is actually what they charge or if he was trying to make some money for himself. I ended up going to an internet cafe and paid 10 lira for 8 scans and 2 photocopies!

Gürültülü ,bakımsız tavsiye etmiyorum

3 gün kaldım oda giriş kartı ve her şey eski idi . Oda ses izalosyonu çok berbattı eşyalar ve her şey eski idi. yan odada sarhoş biri kalıyordu gece 2 ye kadar yüksek ses tv açtı yüksek sesle konuştu gürültüler yaptı sabaha kadar . Kimse gerekli uyarıları yapmadı. solo gezen kadınlara asla önermiyorum . Son derece güvensiz hissettirdi . otel konum olarak iyi bir yerde ama semt de otel gibi bakımsız ,gürültülü ve güvensizdi. Samimiyetle söylüyorum , burayı seçerek hata yaptığımı düşündüm . Ruh halimi etkiledi zaten 3 gün kaldım her gün gürültüden dolayı uykusuz ve dinlenememiş şekilde geçirdim . Tatil konforunu düşürdü diyebilirim .

Was soll man sagen. Man bekommt das wofür man zahlt. Für zwei junge erwachsene Männer war das absolut okay. Mit meiner Frau würde ich da nicht hinkommen. Eher schlechte Anbindung zur Metro (1 Kilometer Berg hoch). Morgens sind die Möwen auf den Dächern unfassbar laut. Zimmer war absolut okay. Zwei Einzelbetten, ich konnte mit 1,90 Meter Größe sehr angenehm schlafen. Leider hat unsere Tür dauerhaft gewackelt. Aber wie gesagt, für den Preis komme ich sicherlich wieder.

Le réceptionniste de nuit, Ali. Très gentil, serviable, compréhensible, à l'écoute. Je n'ai pas trouvé meilleur personne dans un hôtel depuis que je viens en Turquie. La femme de ménage aussi est très gentille, souriante et fait très bien son travail.
