It was a great location. It was very stressful trying to find a suitable place to park as we didn't realise that there was Friday night football on but we managed. The place itself was functional and just what we needed for the one night. Marco was very accommodating for the morning that we needed to go.

Place wasn’t vacuumed. Fridge smelled and had mouldy water in freezer drip tray. Shower could do with a basic clean. No A/C just a noisy fan swinging around above the bed. Host tried to overcharge us for the city tax, then the cleaner asked us for the same tax but twice the amount it was meant to be. No parking on sight. Slightly expensive parking garage nearby for about 30-40€ a day.

The place was fine overall if you need somewhere cheap to simply sleep and shower.

Four of us (2 adults and two teens) had a great stopover in Como. Beautiful, clean apartment in excellent location.

Just about everywhere is walkable and there’s lots of nice places to eat, drink and shop in the immediate vicinity.

Check in was easy, just needed to touch base with Marco before arriving. My Italian isn’t great but his English was impeccable. He is an excellent host!

Would be more than happy to recommend.

The property location is fantastic but it was lacking AC and it was super loud since we had to keep the window open all night. We did not enjoy our stay, it was super hot and we didn’t sleep. We asked for a fan but was ignored via message “what’s app” also it soo hot in the room we had to resort to wetting towels and putting it on our heads due to the heat. The property listed it has WIFI. But when we got there there is no WiFi… there is a lack of communication between us and the host. I was say this place would be perfect in the fall or winter. Or check out his other rooms for AC.

There is no air conditioning, Wi-Fi, or elevator (the apartment is on the third floor). You’ll need to open the window for ventilation, but it can get noisy at night — and even then, it doesn’t help much with cooling.

Everything was perfect about this property. The only down side was a sewer stench coming from the bathroom; however all of the other qualities made it tolerable. The steps were no problem unless maybe you are older or injured. Marco was sweet but did better answering calls rather than texts. The room had a cozy vibe and the bed was so nice, like sleeping on grandma’s sheets. The wood ceiling in our room was beautiful. We could walk easily to everything. The price was a great value.

Lovely little apartment

So glad we did not listen to the reviews!. The location was excellent. Lovely restaurants nearby. Lake is 10 minute walk with plenty of shops etc on the way. Marco accomodated us when we had a 3 hr flight delay. Check in was easy. Lovely little apartment and great value for money. Yes there is room for improvement and breakfast is not included but if you did want one Marco would see to it. It is definitely not as bad as some reviews say! Oh and there are 65 steps to the apartment we had! 😆

Do not stay here!

Believe the other reviews! Do not stay here!! The air conditioning doesn’t work. This unit is in an attic so it’s stifling hot! We turned the air on which should have been turned on when we made the reservation that evening. The reviews each say consecutively that the air doesn’t work. We gave it a try thinking maybe they fixed it. NO! We called the owner he pretended I was crazy and that it has been working. I am VERY familiar with this model it wasn’t working. He said wait 30 minutes if it doesn’t cool down to call back. We waited almost an hour. We called back no answer. Hotels.com tried to call no answer to them either. We got no sleep! If the weather is cool out like 60 you are fine. Otherwise stay away.

4th floor without elevator. Parking is 10 minutes away and costs 35 dollars per day. Area is Zona traffico limitato, i.e. you cannot come close to appartment with your car, uber or taxi. Breakfast is not included and has not been since COVID era. Air conditioning not working with 86-90 degree heat in June, so imagine July or August. Poor service and communication with customer.
Noise start at restaurant below before dawn and is loud enough to wake you up.
Sheets and bathroom were clean. Close to all sites downtown Como, but that's not enough to make up for all the negatives unless you are 20 and want to party all night...
Would not recommend even for my enemy!

Nice big room in a central location. Marco is very friendly too.
There was some confusion about check-out time which needs to be updated online. My booking said check-out time was noon, so we went out in the morning and came back to find the room had been unlocked, our possessions moved and staff turning down the room for the next guests. Apparently check out was at 10:30am, but this was never communicated to us. Marco and staff were nice about it though.

The property is in a great location for food, shopping, and easy access (less than 10 minutes walk to the lakeside); it is about a 15 minute walk to the train station, but easily doable. The owner, Marco, was very friendly and helpful. We've decided that any return trip to Lake Como would include a stay here.

Its Pretty Good not Great

A great location right in the village of Como. The room was spacious and beautiful. Cleanliness was ok but a bit questionable. Bed was clean and comfortable despite a broader lack of cleanliness. Bottled water was always provided which was quite nice. Walls where quite thin you could easily hear your neighbors. Overall a quality place for a weekend stay.

This property was adequate. It had enough space and beds for my family of 4. However, the area was very noisy, both in the morning and evening. The air conditioner was not programmable, the wifi dropped constantly, and we had to call the owner for the code. I would recommend leaving that information in the room. Information about getting in was not readily available. Also, this property should not call itself a \"bed and breakfast\" because there was no breakfast available!

Unfortunately, the host wasn't there to check us in. There was no note or anyone else to advice us what to do. We had to call Orbitz who was willing to relocate us till the host showed up. The location was great, but the apt was very cold. Heating is not turned on till mid Oct, which is fine, but a space heater would have been good. We asked and received extra covers, which were great.

Disappointed, no rooms if you booked and Paid

I searched a room in the area, found this one, booked and paid full amount on line.
When we arrived, the hotel said there is no rooms left, fully booked. The hotel asked me to cancel but it is non refundable, so if I canceled I lost all the money. I asked the hotel to cancel, they said they could not. At the end, they gave us a doc to show they cancelled.
At the end, I spent half an hour of my holiday time to call Hotels.com to cancel and get a refund.
So I don't know anything about this hotel but for sure, there is something wrong there, either the booking system, the staff or the communication.

We liked location. Staff was friendly.

Parking was difficult. We were shown where we could park on street for free, but this was a long walk and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving car parked on street more than 1km away. We found a parking garage on our own with 24 hour security (not ideal and still a long walk but we had peace of mind). We had understood we paid for breakfast with our stay but there was no breakfast apparently due to COVID. We found this out during checkin. During stay Air conditioner stopped working. So we changed rooms, but we didn’t have warm water for the shower in second room.

So so.

Wasn't aware there were 62 steps (6 flights) to get to our room. Being on a 3 week trip, we had medium sized bags and backpacks. It was difficult for us senior citizens. Room smelled perfumed when we arrived, then like a sewer problem. Our host was gracious, but I would not choose this B&B again.

Quaint, close to everything in Como.

For the most part the B&B was ok. It was clean, bed could be worse and it could be better. Room was plenty big for 2 people. NO air conditioning except in the breakfast area, a fan was provided. Initially you can park 75 yards away for up to 3 hours, then you have to move, 17 minute walk if you can find parking on the main street! I did find parking, didn't like the idea the car was way out of sight...things could happen!

B&Bstorico is located in the old part of Como within the original town walls. Very convenient to walk anywhere.
Storico is in an original old house, beautifully restored rooms and decorated with style and love.
Breakfast is outstanding with a excellent selection of local products and homemade delicacies.
We can only recommend it.

Good location BAD Service

Sorry but it was very bad service. Nobody was there when we and another family arrived. The host didn't arrive until 30 minutes after we called. He took our passport to copy and never returned until we called and he said he forgot! Waited another one hour for him to bring back the passport. Besides there was no air conditioning in room so couldn't sleep all night-too hot in 35 degree! However the location was good. So if in winter it's ok for a 1 or 2 nights stay but in summer, ouch please find a place with air conditioning!

Our stay was fantastic. The owner Marco was very friendly and speaks good English. The apartment was in a good location, just a short walk to the harbour and plenty of cafes etc. Breakfast was very good. Meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit etc. the apartment was freshly renovated with a double bed, table and chairs, washing machine however no air con. Directions on the website could be a little better. Approximately a 15 min walk from train station.

I regret not staying longer

This was heaven on earth with such a pleasant welcoming home feeling on a stressful business trip. I needed a central location, a beautiful homey place to stay and for everything to just be easy. No faffing about that you get with most Italian places, it was just perfect with the added beauty of a historic building with natural stone inside and beautifully / intelligently decorated. Ask the owner for a tailored dinner recommendation. I had the best dinner ever and he knew \"just the place\".

Fint sted med god beliggenhed. Renligheden var i orden, og servicen var god. Dog virkede den kvinde, der modtog os ved ankomst, temmelig beruset, hvilket gjorde os en smule bekymrede. Men hun var flink, og vi oplevede ikke andre problemer end sommetider at blive forstyrret ved at hun eller ejeren af stedet tog i håndtaget til vores værelse. Alt i alt en god oplevelse på trods.

Décevant pour un 4 étoiles à Como

Nous avons sejourné 2 nuits dans la chambre \"Tortora\".
Points positifs : climatisation efficace, photos conformes, très bien situé au centre de Como, wifi rapide.

Points négatifs : arrivée compliquée, aucune indication pour trouver la chambre (dernier étage sans ascenseur, portes non nommées). Accueil assuré par le personnel d’entretien ne parlant qu’italien, échanges difficiles même via application de traduction. Marco, le responsable, absent tout le séjour… sauf le matin du départ pour encaisser la taxe. Paiement CB annoncé mais refusé sur place, seul le cash accepté et pas de monnaie sur le moment. Petit-déjeuner en supplément malgré la mention “Bed and Breakfast”abusive. Isolation sonore inexistante : simple porte intérieure non isolée, conversations dans l’accueil audibles depuis la chambre, grasses matinées impossibles. Sécurité faible : tentatives d’entrées dans la chambre à trois reprises sans frapper (sentiment d'insécurité ignoré par Marco), porte communicante non verrouillable. Salle de bain : porte de douche qui ferme mal (eau dehors) et tuyau de douche légèrement percé. Le matin du départ (départ possible jusqu’à midi), message sec “please check out” bien avant l’heure prévue. Velux sans occultant.

Pour 140 € la nuit, prestations et service ne sont pas à la hauteur, 4 étoiles très discutables. Note : 4/10.

An sich ein hübsch eingerichtetes Appartement, und Host Marco ist ein lieber Kerl. Die Lage ist gut, wenn einem ein paar Schritte und Treppen nichts ausmachen.
Aber: Der Raum ist von der Nachbarwohnung lediglich durch eine gewöhnliche Zimmertür getrennt, die zudem nur ein normales Buntbartschloss besitzt. Die Wohnung dahinter wurde genutzt, und entsprechend war die Geräuschkulisse. Störender noch war der nächtliche Lärm einer Klimaanlage bzw. eines Ventilators aus einem anderen Appartement, der uns bis 5.00h früh vom Schlafen abgehalten hat.
Ob dieser Mängel halten wir einen Preis von rund 150€ auch in Como nicht für gerechtfertigt. Und auf ein extra zu bezahlendes Frühstück (\"B&B\") auf dem Zimmer hatten wir dann auch keine Lust mehr.

Hermoso lugar, cómodo, luminoso, bien arreglado. La cama es cómoda. Tiene buen tamaño. Está en el mero centro de Como, todo cerca. Tranquilo.
Cosas que mejorar: La comunicación para la llegada. Me sentí un poco perdida, no sabía que está hasta el último piso de un edificio (sin elevador), ni cuál era el código de entrada. Quizás sería bueno saber eso desde el día anterior. Después de eso, todo muy bien, incluida la comunicación. Tal vez sería buena una cortina para la ventana que da al interior, porque entra luz desde muy temprano.
Volvería sin pensarlo dos veces.

Hard to get in touch with the b&b. Did not answer messages. Had to call several times on different days to connect regarding questions.
No breakfast included, or poorly communicated how to retrieve it, if included? Very odd to call it b&b if no breakfast somehow was provided.

Eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung

- Das Zimmer war kalt, Heizung funktionierte nicht
- W-LAN funktionierte nur bedingt
- Bei der Ankunft war niemand da, obwohl wir uns angekündigt hatten
- Das Zimmer war nicht gereinigt, es lag sogar noch eine Tüte auf dem Boden und Brotkrümel
- Keine Möglichkeit, das Frottiertuch aufzuhängen im Bad
- Sehr lärmig in der Nacht
- Obwohl wir Frühstück bezahlt hatten, bekamen wir kein Frühstück.
- Fazit: viel zu teuer, nicht zu empfehlen!

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, gute Lage, alles gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Ich bin mit dem Zug angereist (15min vom Bahnhof San Giovanni entfernt), von daher weiss ich nicht wie die Parkmöglichkeiten sind.
Eine Empfehlung an den Gastgeber: es wäre praktischer und einfacher den Passwort für WLAN irgendwo in der Wohnung aufzuschreiben, damit die Gäste es gleich benutzen können. Und der Code für die Türe wäre auch gut gewesen vorher zu wissen, damit man vor der Tür steht und dann noch telefonieren muss. Sonst war alles gut.
Das Bett ist sehr bequem und im Zimmer kann man sich einen Kaffe oder Tee machen. Ich war sehr zufrieden, danke.

Die Lage war super, und es war möglich, sehr kurzfristig zu buchen, und wir durften sogar ein wenig das Studio beziehen, um unser Gepäck abzustellen. Herzlichen Dank nochmals dafür!

Das Studio war in Wirklichkeit viel schöner als auf den Bildern! Es ist ein wenig ringhörig, aber die anderen Gäste waren sehr rücksichtsvoll, so dass man nicht viel hörte. Da das B&B mitten in der Altstadt liegt, kann es Lärm von naheliegenden Restaurants geben, aber meine Tochter war bereits am Schlafen, und mich störte es nicht. In der Nähe hat es ein sehr sympathisches Café mit - für Como - günstigen Preisen.

Wenn wir wieder mal nach Como kommen, kehren wir gerne an diesen Ort zurück!

El alojamiento estaba limpio y está bien; sin embargo, no había papel de váter, ni servilletas ni nada por el estilo. Hace muchísimo calor y no hay aire acondicionado. Además hay mucho ruido de la calle por lo que es complicado dormir.

Nada más llegar llamé al host hasta 5 veces porque no había nadie para atendernos ni nos habían explicado cómo funcionaba o cuál era el código para entrar. La comunicación podría haber sido mejor la verdad.

Nosotros nos quedamos 1 noche; pero si la estancia es más larga es mejor buscar otro alojamiento…

Le titre bed and breakfast est abusif car il n'y avait pas de service petit dejeuner
De plus l'accueil s'est fait par téléphone. Par contre le propriétaire était bien présent le jour de départ pour encaisser la taxe locale en liquide ... sans reçu !

Ho avuto difficoltà con le chiavi. Non sapevo dove fossero, non sapevo come fare a chiudere e poter rientrare. Nessuno mi ha avvisato. Ho risolto poi con una tel al proprietario. La cosa peggiore però è che la notte ha fatto molto freddo e non ho trovato nemmeno una coperta negli armadi. La camera per il resto è accogliente, ma ho trascorso una brutta notte

Might not be the most modern rooms but absolutely loved the flair. Real italien rooms and we had a stunning view outside our room into the corridors of the streets. Loved the are aswell with it being directly in the historical city centre! Just be aware that it has a lot of steps incase you are traveling with a heavy suitcase!

It is a B&B, however no breakfast is served!!!
Drop of rains were falling on the bed throughout the night.
Considering the price for 1 night (113 euro), the conditions, including cleanness, was quite low. Overall, it is an old and badly furnished accomodation that I would nor recommend to others

La camera si trova nel centro al terzo piano, senza un ascensore. La camera e il bagno sono carini. Il riscaldamento facevo caldo. C'era tutto che si deve avere. Potevo fare tè e cafè. Il colazione non era incluso del prezzo. Non c'era un copripiumino sul grande piumino usato, solo una lenzuola sotto, non mi sentivo molto bene e igenica di questo. Inoltre una bella camera.

Selbstverständlich dachten wir, und es wurde auch so beschrieben, dass wir die Unterkunft alleine bewohnen. Dem war nicht so! Der Vermieter hat uns die Adresse und den Code zum Türöffnen per WhatsApp gesendet und sich danach nie wieder gemeldet. Als wir das Apartment betraten, war links eine teilverfallene Treppe, wir dachten die führt zum Dachboden.Es war Schon spät, wir waren müde haben uns zwar geärgert, sind dann aber rechts in unser Apartment gegangen. Um 3.00 morgens wurden wir durch Lärm und gepolter aus dem Schlaf gerissen. Als ich aufsprang, stand ich vor einem stark alkoholisierten Mann, der nur italienisch lallte und schrie. Da keine Verständigung möglich war, ging er dann die Treppe hoch in den beschriebenen Dachboden. Ein weiterschlafen war unmöglich und der Vermieter nicht erreichbar. Ich fordere mein Geld zurück, notfalls werde ich auch versuchen von ebookers mein Geld zu bekomme , denn die müssten doch auch Verantwortung übernehmen. Die können doch nicht jeden Miststall ohne Prüfung auf ihre Website stellen. PS: Bis man von denen Support bekommt, sind mehr als 6 Stunden vergangen. Danke für nix!

Oh My God ! What a B&B !

I was waiting for 1 hour to get my room key. But the host has gone to milan(more than 1hour by car).
So I have to make a int'l phone call to get my room key.
After 1.5hours of effort I got my room key.

This B&B is located 5th floor & and our room door was out of order so we cannot lock our room door.

Further more room TV is located more than 2m high.

The host never say \"I am sorry !\"

As Bed & Breakfast you also expect Breakfast, however this was not included. We were send to the bars downstairs.
Also the airo did not work, while it was over 30 degrees Celcius. The willingness to fix this was not there.
Location was perfect, the service was not unfortunately.

We appreciated the host's welcome and availability. The accommodation is within easy reach of the main railway station. The small terrace is very pleasant and the bedding comfortable.
