This property is a B&B, but it’s very large for European standards. We had lots of space and a balcony. We were there in October and it was cold, I still needed AC and they were happy to accommodate us with that. Even though the room is located on top of a busy restaurant we didn’t hear any outside noise. The restaurant is very good, but pricy. Next to the B&B there is a fruit stand the owner is a sweetheart, we bought fresh fruits and nuts everyday. Around the corner is restaurant that serves excellent breakfast and cappuccinos. B&B has no breakfast. Loved the area will highly recommend.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The many thoughtful extras were lovely, especially for my teen daughter who enjoyed having Nutella readily available! We felt safe and comfortable. Housekeeping was kind and top notch. I read a few complaints before I booked about the rooms being above the restaurant. This was not an issue at all and in fact added to the local charm. Yes there’s some street noise but Como is “the city” of Lake Como and is a fantastic, lively hub of joy and charm and Italian life. I’d change nothing about this delightful inn. It was everything we wanted.

This was a very nice room and very clean. There are a few things to know. It is above a busy restaurant, it has a long flight of stairs up to the room, it is in the old town and therefore pretty noisy until the restaurants close. The noise is people dining and talking.
Having said this, if you want to stay in the old town of Como this room is probably fine. The street cleaners came by at 7:00 each morning but we were just steps from the action of Como.

We had a great stay at Rumi Rooms in Como, Italy! The hotel is located in the heart of the old-town of Como, and is a convenient walk to shopping, restaurants, and the Lake Como Ferry. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and had great air conditioning! Our only complaint was that the bed was a bit too soft for us, but might not be for others.

Great find! Perfect location near a busy piazza, and the boat docks/lake. A little unconventional as you have to enter thru a restaurant then up some stairs to the 4 rooms available. There’s no elevator. Rooms are great. Spacious, and clean. Modern with a great shower/bathroom. Plenty of space to sprawl out. There is limited breakfast. I only had the Nespresso coffee as there was only a brioche in plastic for breakfast. So Id go elsewhere for that. You’re basically on your own here which is great BUT at the end I needed some help getting a taxi early for my flight and nobody was around and nobody called me back. Cars can’t enter the area near the rooms so you’ll have to schlep your suitcases a little ways to a taxi stand. And hope there’s a taxi on Sunday morning! I found an Uber finally and managed. It was 160 euros for that vs a taxi which is cheaper. But I couldn’t chance not finding a taxi as I had a big suitcase and carry on to lug around. If you want hand holding this isn’t the place but it IS a great find and I’d definitely go back again but this time I’d be ready for it. I would highly recommend it if you want a clean comfortable place close to everything in Como!

Wonderful stay at this guesthouse - rooms were clean, comfortable and bright, with some thoughtful design touches. The exterior is really pretty, with the property being a bit hidden away on a corner shared with other restaurants. The location was great, everywhere is walkable. The staff are kind and friendly and the restaurant downstairs opens for lunch and dinner - I didn’t eat there but friends who did were happy! There’s nowhere on-site to sit for breakfast but there are a few nearby cafes and a brunch place (Babi) if you want some eggs! The free flowing complimentary water was much appreciated in the heatwave we had. I left feeling like the team behind Rumi Rooms really care about the property and experience of the guests. I was very happy, thank you!

I was looking to stay at boutique type of hotel with a good access to the City and Rumi Rooms was exactly what I was looking for. The room was very clean and view of our window was amazing. They have a very nice restaurant at the ground floor with an excellent food. The hotel is located at the City with 20 min walk to the train station.

The coolest place we have ever stayed! Room is new, exciting and spacious! Biggest shower in Italy. In a beautiful and completely walkable area of the city. We spent two days walking all the stores and didn’t see but 1/8 of all the total stores. Is above a great restaurant with amazing food and drinks and 30 other walkable restaurants. Hosts are super nice people! And you should spend your hard earned money with people who like them truly appreciate your business. This stay was the highlight of our trip at over 10 hotels and homes across Italy! Well done Rumi Rooms, well done indeed!

We LOVED everything! The owners immediately make you feel like family. They have outstanding attention to detail. Room was adorable! The bed was the most comfortable we slept in throughout Europe. There was a nice private terrace attached to our room which was lovely for before dinner wine. There is a fabulous wine shop on the premises. Rumi Rooms is a small hotel located in a old town area just steps from a small plaza and 1block from a large plaza. Both offer out door dining at reasonable prices. It is only a couple blocks from the Como ferries dock. We would stay there on our next Como trip.

Great location! Less than 5 minutes from the ferry dock, and 2 from the plaza. The room and bathroom were gigantic (especially for Italy). The restaurant below was super good and even though you’re on top of the restaurant it’s still quiet.

BEWARE - hotel accepts same-day bookings until 11pm, but you cannot enter the hotel or check in after they close their doors at 8pm. We were stuck without a place to stay, forced to book another hotel the same night, and Rumi Rooms refused to provide a refund. Terrible experience.

The hotel was nice overall. It is in a nice location above a restaurant (a bit hard to find at first, but convenient overall for the city). The room is a nice size for two people with a big bathroom & shower. We did have issues with the A/C unit making terrible noises that kept us up and couldn't open the windows until after midnight since the restaurant was noisy (couldn't hear restaurant with windows closed so if it was functioning properly, no issues). The bed wasn't the best - seemed like a cheaper mattress with a pillow topper on it. Any movement would disturb the other person in the bed.

Perfectly Cozy Como Hideaway
Perfectly located in the heart of the Como, this hotel was exactly what we needed for an escape up to the Lake Como area. Three narrow, rustic lanes allow for approach to the hotel which is just a quick 8 to 10 minute walk. The owners also have a restaurant and shop that I highly recommend. And the room is perfectly updated and beautifully decorated. Just outside the hotel is a small fruit and veg stand perfect for collecting supplies for a snack. And the lake is a mere 3 to 5 minute walk away.
Without doubt, I will stay here many times again. And I highly recommend it to anyone considering coming through Como.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. The hosts had drinks (water, soda, coffee) available any time of day. Check in was the only confusing part. Not sure if we didn't read the 'important information' that comes in the separate email from hotels.com, but when we got there, there was no one to be found. After a few minutes of wandering around outside we were greeted by Christian and Samantha. They are very warm and friendly people but do not speak a lot of English and we didn't speak a lot of Italian so be prepared for some good ol' communication by gestures or have google translate handy. After the initial check in this place is great. Perfect location close to the water and not too far from the train station. We would definitely recommend it.

I would strongly recommand this place. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room is very nice, clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable. They left some local cookies in the room as well as water for us, they even gave us complimentary bottle of champagne! We asked for a restaurant recommendation and they even called and made a reservation for us. They made us feel home and treated us like family. I love this place and I wish I could have stayed longer. Would love to come back!

Really nice location and nice service. Initially a bit hard to find because you need to go into the restaurant to go to the hotel. But the room was really spatious and the bathroom was nice. Only thing is the bed was hard, which was a bit tough on our backs and the tv didn’t work well. Overall a really good experience.

Rumi Rooms was perfect for us! The room was nice, big and had everything we needed. The staff of San Fedele Latteria were all very kind and super helpful. Food in San Fedele Latteria is just phantastic (soo delicious) and Rumi Rooms is in the old town where you have the possibility to shop food, clothes and lots of other stuff. I can highly recommend Rumi Rooms.
