The property was excellent if you’re looking quiet and safe place to stay. The property is gated, it is outside of town so you will need a vehicle to get around. It is surrounded by gardens with beautiful flowers/trees. The room was spacious and included a lovely kitchenette (little fridge/freezer), you can cook your own meals. Bed was comfortable. Sheets & towels clean. And if you like cats, there are plenty roaming around. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Harmony place you are looking for

Extremelly helpful staff,very kind and always ready to support. During our stay someone had stolen our goggles and towels and staff helped at least a little compensate. Also as we had an early flight we were on the island 9hrs prior to check in. Staff made our room available sooner as well we were able to buy breakfast that we didnt have originally arranged. The property is located in amazing Zen garden with pool, complete tranquility a privacy secured. It was a lovely stay.

The quality and size of the “apartments” (they’re basically houses, it’s great) is phenomenal for the price. To have a private back deck, many air conditioners, a kitchen, a nice bathroom, FOUR sets of sliding doors.. it was great. Friendly cats run the grounds, par for the course in Europe. Parking is a little tight and it’s in a quaint area of the island but those very small “negatives” are so heavily outweighed by the friendliness of staff, 24 hour pool and big clean rooms that it’s barely worth mentioning. I’d recommend this place to anybody. My one real and only gripe is to access the property the first time it’s a hassle. It’s a private gate and everyone gets a remote, but when you’re first arriving you need to call. It’s not well labelled where you need to go either. Besides that it’s perfect. We will be returning.

When I rrived on aute I was told by the hotel that room that I booked had some issues with the plumbing, they downgraded me to a smaller room and instead they offered me breakfast (it was pretty OK) the place needs more maintenance and cleaning, the room smelled like humidity. The pool area is nice.

Very beautiful garden around the hotel with lots of flowers, but some places are not cared for. The playground for children was dirty and needed updates. The apartment was really old and not the same as was in the photo. The kitchen equipment is old and unsafe. It was very noisy because you can hear every breath of your neighbors.
Without a car, you cannot access the facility. The area around looks like an industrial. Also, there are lots of cats and they come in into apartments and can steal something from your table. I have a strong allergy, so it was a pity surprise for me. I do not recommend this place for the vacation.

Reception was very friendly and very helpful. The grounds we're very beautiful and had lot's to offer . Pool was good and deep which was a nice perk. The property itself made you feel like you we're in a zen garden very lush, green, and beautiful. The downfall to this property is you would need a car or some sort of transportation has this hotel is about a half hour walk to R. Grande. Other then that very happy with the hotel, property, and our stay.

Have a nice kitchen unit to cook meals. Only 2 plate top elements that was a little slow. It rained a lot so we got ants. I think forced in by the rain. But they sprayed & left spray for us. It was a bright unit.

Calm and spacious

Nice and clean, spacious apartments. Most of them are in separate houses so it feels very private and calm. Only real complaint is the breakfast, which was poor (small selection and didn't feel fresh -- croissants were probably from yesterday and ham of cheap variety). Since the apartments have kitchens and nice terraces, however, this was only a problem first day before having been to a supermarket. I would also recommend them to get do-not-disturb signs even if the cleaning staff seemed to learn to arrive late quite quickly.

Beautiful property gardens, perfect for families with young children. Cute playground and soccer field. 4minute drive to beach access. We didn’t wake up in time for breakfast but if staying long term you have everything you need to cook great meals in your apartment. We will return for longer!

All's good except that smell

The Good:
1. Very nice resort with Swimming pool, Gardens, Children's play area and friendly cats.
2. Excellent everyday house keeping service, which I have never found in any other apartment rentals.
3. Well secured with free car parking.
4. Onsite buffet breakfast available, if needed.

Not so good:
1. This place is a bit remote. You must have your own transportation. There are absolutely no services in the vicinity, which we personally didn't care, because most of the day we were out and on return we bought all that was needed .

The bad:
1. In-spite of high standard of cleanliness, our apartment had a constant damp, musty smell, which I could not figure out why. Could be it was just this apartment.

Hotel staff was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful. Convenient to every aspect of the island if you have a car. The room was perfect for a family of 4 and safely gated. Only suggestion is a Dehumidifier might be a good addition to the room. Loved the place and would stay again!

I love this hotel, we stay here often and the staff and rooms are wonderful. Very quiet area and beautiful flowers everywhere. A little hard to find the first time and out of the city. You will need a car to get around.

The gated grounds of this small apartment complex is outstanding! Location for us was perfect as we could walk to Rabo de piexe. The friendly staff were very helpful. We felt very safe and cozy there. We will be back.

Spotlessly clean apartment and beautiful gardens well tended to. We were able to check in early which was really appreciated. Easy check out too with helpful staff. Our apartment was backing onto main road so was a bit noisy with traffic but we got used to this fine. Good access to rest of island.

Accommodations are located within a beautiful gated garden. A car is necessary. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Near the pool there were renovations underway so pool wasn't usable and probably was too cold to use anyway. The only unimpressive thing was the breakfast in their restaurant. Was not good. Otherwise our stay was delightful

Spacious Apartments set in nicely maintainegrounds

The complex of apartments sits behind a wall and an electric gate that guests are given a remote for. Inside are nicely tended gardens and a pretty layout. It feels so cosy that I lost sight of how large the complex is. The service provided, from meet and greet to reception to maids, was friendly and professional. Very helpful people. Apartments were being redecorated while we were there and we stayed in one that probably was decorated quite recently - it was spacious, bright and scrupulously clean. Condensation can be a slight issue because of the humidity and climate of the island and there was a whiff of mould inside cupboards as a result. I noticed this smell outside too, and came to the conclusion, as I said, that it's to do with the climate. The apartment in no way seemed lacking in cleanliness. If ultra picky, there were some marks on furniture and signs of previous use - but nothing unacceptable. But for those, it would be heading into 5 star territory. In a nutshell, loved the place and found it excellent value for money. You'll need a car to take in the island and the journey from the airport by car is about 20 mins.

This was the most frustrating experience we had while travelling through São Miguel, Azores.
We booked (and payed) two nights and stayed only the first!
The room they provided us didn't match at all with the pcitures - old furniture, loosy beds, rain inside the living room, one of the TV sets was on a previous hotel we stayed...as an antique display and, worst of all, a tiny WC almost with no ventilation - to be used by 4 people, I believe words are dispensable.
Even thought the assistant tried to help, changing us to another apartment, the owners created difficulties and we leaved after a miserable night.
Turns out there are two kinds of rooms: moderns and 'rustic', like the loosy one we got. But online you will find only pictures of the modern ones, no way to choose the kind of room you will get.
Even the surrondings didn't look as nice as in the pictures- the pool is a very small one and the place is quite crowded - instead of 'country feeling' you will get more like 'concrete camping feeling'.
Wouldn't recommend it to any enemies!

Very nice hotel close to the Rabo de Peixe ,Santana beach,Rebeira Grande and great restaurants,My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to everyone the rooms were very spacious the pool was great
and the grounds were absolutely beautiful and safe.I will definite stay at the Qiunta da Santana on my next trip to Sao Miguel .

We had a hard time finding the hotel as it was on the outskirts of Ribeira Grande. Thanks to the tourist info center for their directions, we arrived at the hotel with no further problems. The staff were very pleasant , answered our questions & our room was looked after daily. The grounds were beautiful & well kept. The hotel is located in the center of the Island so we were able to travel daily with the rented car to all parts of the Island.

Our stay at Quinta de Santana.

We stayed 14 nights at Quinta de Santana. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. There was a maid service. Beds were made every day and towels were changed every day. The bed sheets changed once a week. The gardens and grounds were neat and tidy. There was a playground for young children with swings and a five a side football pitch.
I think you would need a car if you wanted to see the island. We collected our car at the airport.
We enjoyed our stay at Quinta de Santana and would come again.

Great place to stay!

We had an absolutely awesome stay at this hotel. We went off season, however I think Azores are great any time of the year. What a beautiful island (Sao Miguel)!!! Place was great, very comfortable. Owners are very responsive to any requests. We asked for a heater and got one immediately (we stayed at Fizelis apartment and it does not have AC or central heating). Place has a lot of friendly cats, they were coming to visit and we really enjoyed them. Place has full kitchen with all the appliances which was very convenient as the supermarket is not very far (if you have a car). Place is very serene and relaxing! We are definitely staying here next time!

We had a little trouble finding Quinta de Santana at first, and got turned around in a somewhat scary part of nearby Rabo de Peixe, but once we were inside the gates we found lovely, well tended grounds and flowers, a sparkling swimming pool where we spent a couple lazy afternoons, and warm, friendly staff who provided maps, directions, and suggestions for local restaurants and markets in English. Our apartment \"Lilio\" was clean and well-decorated but had a strong smell of what we think was cat urine (ammonia-esqe) seeing as that a friendly cat wandered in and made itself at home on the sofa when we left the door open to air it out. The area and nearby roads were mostly quiet, except for a pack of dogs owned by a nearby neighbor who barked all night every night. Perhaps not every room has this problem, but we lost some sleep to them! Overall: clean, friendly, beautifully landscaped, but next time we'd ask for a quieter, less cat-friendly room!

Lo que resaltaría es sus zonas verdes fuera de los apartamentos, es maravilloso.

Grundsätzlich war die Unterkunft OK.Die Küche war etwas klein und spartanisch ausgestattet. Leider gibt es auch nicht für jede Wohnung eine Möglichkeit draußen zu essen. Ansonsten super Pool. Es gibt viele Katzen die auch gerne mal in die Wohnung wollen.

I stayed here with my mum and my kid. They set a bed in the main room for the kiddo. The apartment was big and clean. And had everything we needed (we only missed a coffee machine). It had a private outdoor space (where we missed a table and chairs to enjoy dinner outside) but we were super comfortable overall.
The crew were so nice with us and the Quinta had an amazing gardens and kids playground and also a pool, which we could not enjoy because it was not allowed to use after 5.30pm, and we always came back from spending the day outside around that time or some later, it would be so good to have some pooltime after a long day.

But we had a very good experience, would recommend and would go back again for sure

Unser Appartement war sehr gut ausgestattet, aber beim genaueren Hinschauen etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Uns hat viel mehr die Lautstärke durch den angrenzenden Straßenverkehr gestört. Leider hat es im Appartement sehr unangenehm gerochen beziehungsweise schon in der Nase gebissen. Haben dort vor Ort das Frühstück für 12€ pro Person und Tag dazu gebucht, was es definitiv nicht wert war!
Auf dem gesamten Unterkunftsgeländer und zwischen den Appartements befinden sich viele, sehr schön angelegte kleine Gärten.

Gostámos muito do apartamento. Um T1 com WC com banheira, uma mesa e 2 cadeiras no átrio de acesso. Cozinha com tudo.
Tivémos direito a pequeno almoço incluído (ao contrário do anuncionado na reserva) o que foi uma agradável surpresa. Foi ao estilo continental com alguns produtos regionais (queijo fresco, sumos maracujá, iogurtes, etc).
Únicos senãos foi a TV um pouco pequena e a Wifi não funcionar sempre bem.
O staff foi sempre muito simpático. Foi preciso telefonar para abrirem o portão para o nosso carro mas talvez haja uma campaínha.
Fica a distância a pé do restaurante da Associação Agrícola de São Miguel (muito conhecido pelos bifes).

El alojamiento era amplio y limpio. Contaba con todo lo necesario. La tostadora no funcionaba y nos la cambiaron sin problemas. También nos dieron toallas para la playa y/o los baños calientes.
El baño era amplio, limpio y bien decorado. El entorno una maravilla. Está situado muy cerca de Ribeira Grande, útil para comprar y cenar. Muy céntrico en la isla para visitar todo desde una distancia cómoda.

Lo que peor era el holor a humedad y los suelos que estaban deteriorados. los muebles también estaban algo rozados.
