good location. close to Patong Street.
that being said I would not recommend this area of thailand for family with teenagers travelling.
Unfortunately lots of sex tourist were all around including that hotel even though they warned you at check in that if you bring any guess … you would be charge extra… we thought it was an awkward thing to say … as i was travelling with my husband… but looking around the pool made sense …
lots of local lady “guess” end out at this hotel .
not blaming anyone just saying.
breakfast is amazing!!
the beach across the street is gorgeous.
pick room on the pool … the beach view can be noisy at night ….
we enjoyed our stay .

We stayed here for 7 days and they ruin the whole freshness and relaxation by blaming us that we broke their sliding glass door and made us to pay them 3000 Bhat when we went to check out. We are adults and no children with us we don’t drink or do drugs and are in our senses 24/7. They charged us for the lost key card 300 bhat that none of the hotels do.
At night twice somebody unlocked our door and when we complained no one took any notice.
It’s a SCAM hotel!
Stay in a hotel where you feel safe guys not in a place that is full of scams!

paradise in Patong

First time staying on the beach side of Patong beach! This was the perfect hotel. It is right on the main road, but tucked away in an amazing green oasis! We were greeted as soon as we exited our taxi and taken very well care of from the then.

The room is beautiful and the balcony is spacious. Really good air con and super clean. The bathroom is super clean and beautiful

The pool area is super large, but also the hotel is massive!!! There was some construction and renovation going on being that it was covid. But it didn’t effect our stay.

Poor service and room, extremely disappointing

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with everything at this hotel, particularly given it's considered a 4-star hotel.

Check-in: We arrived a little before check-in time. The room was not yet ready and the supervisor who checked us in refused to give us any information (for example, I asked if he could remind me if I had breakfast included. He said I get no information until check-in time of 2PM). Nobody offered to take our luggage when we went to eat prior to the room being ready.
They do not allow any late check out (even if no one is checking into your room) unless you pay 1K THB per additional hour. They also charge 300 THB if you don't return the plastic room key at the end of your stay.

Room: The room and dresser both smelled like mildew- it was clear they had never been aired out. The toilet flusher wasn't working properly and continuously got stuck. The shower had dried water droplets all over it. They never cleaned it with Windex or a similar cleaner to get rid of them. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Pool: The pool itself is beautiful, huge, and a good temperature. However, the staff is constantly working on the deck during pool hours causing disruptions. One day they were sanding for hours (noisy), another day they were painting (smelly), another day they were cleaning. Pool chairs are blocked off during this time leaving less room for people to sit.

Food: Sub-par & expensive for the quality.

Staff: Poor attitude & rude.

I had problems with April when I check in. I was told I had to sign a paper if anyone visit me I would be fine a 1,000 baht and I was to put their name on this paper. What an insult I’ve never had to do this at any hotel I stay at in Pluket. I moved out the next day. The bathroom has something falling from the roof. I was very disappointed with this hotel.
The front desk especially April needs some training and her attitude is not very nice.

We've stayed here previously and returned due to the location and staff. This time we selected a standard room. Last time we gad a pool view room. Both were fine. Our was close to the band area so we did hear noise at night. That might bother some people but we were exhausted so slept through it. There are some good bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Reception services and house keeping were exceptional.

Great place in the heart of Patong Beach!

We were looking at a couple different hotels along the beach of Patong, and we absolutely picked the right one. After walking up and down the main road that runs along the beach, it was clear that this hotel was one of the best. The hotel/resort was perfectly located, with direct access across the street to the beach. The pool was great, overall, the rooms were clean, large, and perfect for our stay. My only 2 “need to know things” were this...1. There was no iron and ironing board. You had to go the next building over to access a laundry room to iron shirts, pants, etc. 2. There is a band that plays every night in the courtyard and it was heard loudly in our room...however, they do stop playing at 11:30pm sharp...so if you want to sleep before then, I’d take ear plugs or something like that.
Overall, we had a blast and I’d definitely recommend this place versus any other in Patong. It was a little pricey compared to some of the other options, but absolutely worth it.

Okay Stay--But Not My Favorite

This hotel has fabulous swimming pools and and plenty of sun bathing chairs around the pool. Service was perfectly fine. The issue I found was the smell in my room--a sort of musty smell. The furnishings in the rooms are quite dated but are relatively clean for their age. It is located in the heart of Patong so everything is around you including the noise.

Not so amazing, after booking with Hotels.com I fined offers differ day to day. When I arrived patong hotel upgrades were steep and complex negotiations to include breakfast . Room TV poor quality connection with limited selections. Hair dryer did not work in bathroom- reported to front desk and only people eng visit and NO corrective action.

Check in was hectic and came across as if we were an inconvenience. Rooms require face lift. Bathroom was barley functional. Towels rough and frayed. Bad odours along corridors. Only some lights working in room. Internet intermediate.

Great Vacation Patong Beach Hotel

Beautiful open layout and perfect location across the street from the beach. Bar / Lounge is great for meeting and relaxing after a long night. Breakfast has good selection, but the quality of food is average. The tour reservation desk was exceptionally helpful in coordinating activities. Fully recommend it for the location and vacation feeling.

Try a stay at the Baan Laimai

We had a wonderful stay at the Baan LaiMai with super friendly and helpful staff. There is a great pool and play area with swim up pool bar. Food was nice too. Our only criticism is that the sheets on the bed were damp. Not sure if that is due to early September humidity but its the only thing that kept our stay from being perfect. Wonderful location.

This hotel is cheating!

We booked a beachfront room with a seaview through hotels.com. The first room we got was very old, had no bathtub or seaview as promised in the booking and looked not at all like the pictures at hotels.com. We complained about this right away and they offered to move us to another room the next day. This room looked more like the pictures and had a bathtub but still the seaview was very limited because of the roof of the building in front of the room.

We had paid a lot extra for the seaview, so we complained again and asked for a refund. But the supervisor at the reception was very rude and claimed, that because we had booked at hotels.com, we had not paid any money to the hotel. So we should complain to hotels.com. We did that but they only offered us a 10 percent refund and claimed, that it was the hotel, that was responsible for the images, so we should handle it with the hotels

So there we were left between 2 parts with noone taking responsibility!

We will never use this hotel or hotels.com again.

Read the other reviews from people booking the beachfront rooms and you will find similar complaints.

The only good thing to say about the hotel is the breakfast and the staff at the breakfast. They were excellent - but it was like dealing with a total other company than the rude and unfriendly people at the reception. Thank you to Alex and the rest of the staff at the breakfast - you were the only positive element during our stay at the hotel.

I love this hotel so much.whatever u see in the picture its exactly in the real life. Love the big spacious swimming pool and only few steps away from patong beach, love the room very spacious and many storage and definitely the view is so breathtakingly. Only the downside is if ur muslim, they mix serving halal food and non halal, so i just had fruits and drinks. Next time please consider to label and seperate the foods so muslim traveller can enjoy the breakfast as well, but ill choose not include breakfast if i will come back again coz can always find halal food outside the hotel. Other than that, this hotel is superb

Lagoon style pool with comfy beds

The hotel is situated at the center of Patong Beach area, the famous Patong Beach is just in front of the hotel. The Bangla Road and many restaurants, massage saloons, shops etc. are only steps away. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable. We stayed in a room that has a balcony looking directly to the lagoon style swimming pool. The next building was situated inches away from our room entrance, and you can hear the air conditioning system of that building from our room. The bathroom was a bit old, but clean. The open buffet breakfast was very good with lots of different choices. I recommend this place for a comfortable stay in a central area.

The check in process was quick and easy. The front desk was very friendly and gave us tips to make navigating the surrounding area easy. The concierge arranged for our tour and even helped us get a little discount with the price. All of them were from the Philippines and they were a lovely group of workers. The property itself is excellent, the swimming pool that wraps around is great, and the dining area is awesome. The room is spacious, and the smart tv gives you plenty of choices for shows to watch (netflix, hulu, etc.). It is walking distance to the main shopping and entertainment area, and right across from the beach. In short, this resort is A+!!

Hotel has beautiful pool, lobby and outside areas. Our room was not particularly very clean (dusty), bed was very soft and sunk in the middle. Hotel is also under renovation and the rooms will look beautiful when finished. There are two restaurants, food was delicious; the cafe was specially good. Staff was amazing, always smiling and wanting to help. Check in and out was a breeze.

When ever I go to Paton I always stay at Baan Laimai Beach Resort & Spa. I love the location, just across the street from Patong Beach. The staff are amazing and they all recognize me when I come for holiday. They are very welcoming, I feel like I'm part of the Baan Laimai family.

Our family loved this resort with its wonderful pool and restaurant and bar. The bar at the pool was great. Each room was kept clean and tidy on a daily basis however I thought the bathrooms where a little outdated .
The staff were amazing and we loved the service .
Overall very happy with our stay and will definitely come back to this hotel with its wonderful location.

The hotel has a great location right across from the Beach and a short 5 min walk to the main road but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to my friends and family!
They are currently doing renovations that we didn’t know about until we got to our room. They would start at 8am and would go all day making it hard for a sleep in and to relax. The spa was way to over priced for what it was. The restaurant (hern) was really good but again way to over priced and the room we had he book (beach view) had a horrible view along with a tap that was barely attached in the bathroom. Our door wouldn’t always lock behind us and if it did you could pull on the handle a few times and it would open also the bed was as hard as a rock and uncomfortable if you sleep on your side. Breakfast was poor. Over all just poor finishing.

If the rest of the hotel is to be finish to the same level as the spa and the hern restaurant (both beautiful) it will be a beautiful resort but a huge price tag to match. I would call this a hotel not a resort.

The only problem was some of the other guests staying there at the same time. Loud music, singing and noise all night and day in their room and by the pool. Many comments and complaints were made by other guests, but the hotel failed to be able to control them. This unfortunately took me from being completely satisfied with the hotel to pleasing.

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Right across from Patong Beach and a great pool. The only thing was they didn't have a happy hour at the bar!

The property is beautiful. The pool is amazing. We got a pool view room which also directly faced the beach which was amazing to see. The only thing I didn’t like is that we couldn’t figure out how to use the spa jets in the pool.

First the property is Magnificent. Absolutely beautiful and magnificent. What puts this resort into the paradise range are the employees. Dach, James and Mai at the pool bar who made me and my girlfriend feel at home, comfortable and well cared for, or Alek, the Restaurant Manager, who made us feel welcome and the rest of the Restaurant staff who provided such wonderful meals. Fantastic food, service we felt was superb. To all the wonderful staff behind the scenes and behind the counter, Jen, Fern, April, Lou, Nicole, John, Chulo, Ord, Kan, Orio and Max, I need to commend for the friendliness, professionalism and best customer service I have ever experienced in any 5 star hotel. Truly the staff has clearly made my decision to stay at the Baan Laimai Beach Resort in Patong on every single future trip to Patong an easy one. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience you have provided me and my girlfriend.

Very large hotel with beautiful pools

The location opposite the beach, various size pools all great. The room on arrival was lovely except for a particular mouldy smell. Once we returned from dinner the smell was overpowering. We opened the window onto the balcony to see if that helped clear the bad air. In the end I think we were so tired we just went to bed. However we woken by persisting loud singing coming from the restaurant/bar area downstairs. We rang reception only to be told music is on every night till 11.30!!! Not impressed. Next morning we complained and asked for a room change or money back. They found a room in a very quiet area of the hotel. The room was very large and comfortable, though not renovated. Also breakfast could be improved by adding cappuccino/espresso coffee (rather than having to pay for it) and more western dishes. Otherwise OK. Staff polite, courteous and helpful at all times.

The location was great

The location was great, being right across the road from the beach; the breakfast had a good variety; the pool was composed of different swimming areas, which was nice because you didn't feel as if you were swimming on top of people; the room was large with a sofa, coffee table, and desk, and an outdoor deck. On the downside, our bathroom had a sewer smell that would not leave, and the housekeeper would never leave toilet paper.

Good location to the beach and the pool was a relief from the outside hustle and bustle of the area. Had to move to an upgraded room as construction and late night band music was amplified by the design of the open lower area which amplified the noise to unacceptable levels. The work in completing a new spa area was supposed to start at 8am and finish by 5pm but went later due to the need to finish it by Feb.3.

Everything about the hotel was excellent it’s just the fact that I had the worst view possible in the entire hotel
