We were assigned a room facing the main street. Even at 1 a.m., the music from the neighboring Hard Rock was still extremely loud. We were not allowed to change rooms, and the soundproofing was very poor — noise from the hallway was also clearly audible.

The hot water pressure was very weak and the temperature fluctuated between hot and cold. The room itself was extremely small. We also saw cockroaches in the restaurant.

This property does not meet resort standards at all, yet charges resort-level prices. The experience was absolutely terrible.

The hotel is located behind Patong Street. Every time we took a taxi back to the hotel, we got stuck in traffic near Patong Street for about 20 minutes, which was a huge waste of time.

The sound insulation in the room is extremely poor. The entire floor consists of connecting rooms separated only by two doors, neither of which can be locked. If both doors are open, you can walk directly into the neighboring room. We could clearly hear the conversations of the guests next door, and even their phone ringing throughout the entire night. Whenever anyone walked by outside the door, their footsteps were clearly audible.

We arrived at 2:30 pm but still couldn't check in. Despite there being many rooms, they insisted on making us wait until 3:00 pm. We left our luggages for storage. When we returned in the evening, we found our luggages unattended, simply left at the hotel entrance.

The breakfast experience was very disappointing. A staff member seated us at a particular table, only for another guest to confront me, claiming the table was hers. The staff did nothing to help mediate the situation or arrange another table for us. The other breakfast area required waiting in line in the morning due to overcrowding.

Coffee machine in the breakfast area is always problematic.

We requested for late check out but key card was deactivated when we returned, we had to go back to the lobby and line up in order to reactivate the key card which is another waste of time.

Loved the pools and amenities !! Good location. Roman was clean but small. Bathroom was tough for 2 people to get ready. A second mirror plug in would be nice. Also no drawer space for clothes. Restaurants were good not amazing and a bit pricey.

For me I’ve been in hotels for 25 years of my working life, smoke stack isn’t very good. Poor quality of food, ingredients on the menu but not on the plate & ingredients on the plate that weren’t on the menu.
Goats cheese starter being the biggest issue here & under cooked chicken? In 2026 there is no excuse for under cooked chicken.

Breakfast cooking is very inconsistent too, some days great omelettes and others could have quite easily been frozen. However the staff serving were very good.

Pool bar pretty much same issue. Some days lots of ham in the sandwich others, I’m looking for the ham.

Pizza was very good and very good.

I don’t know if there is an issue with too much offering or poor quality staff training on the dishes.

The hotel offered a good check in, Money was very professional.

1st night on arrival the host at the Phuket eatery looked at her watch when asked if we could eat after a pre phone call from reception. We then had to order all 3 courses at once?

Room very clean & tidy a little dated now with the corridors looking very tired,

For me coming to Thailand for the first time, location is good for the local shops & golf courses.

Would I stay again? Yes but only on b&b as the biggest part of why I come away is to eat and the food let the hotel down.

We stayed for 16 days in late December 2025, but the experience fell short of Marriott standards. As Bonvoy members who have stayed at many Marriott properties worldwide, this hotel did not justify its high cost compared to other Phuket resorts. It felt more like a 3-star property—Marriott-branded but at a local standard.
Key issues:

Multiple requests to change rooms due to noise and food smells were ignored until the last day.
Reception staff had limited English and were unresponsive; we had to repeat queries to different people.
Breakfast was overcrowded, with limited seating and food options; long waits to be seated.
Steakhouse food was poor quality and overly salty; complaints were ignored with no refund.
Gym was tiny, like a basic home setup.
Strong food smells and noise during prep, especially 5–6 am and 6–7 pm.

If you’re comparing prices with other Phuket hotels, this property does not offer the quality expected from Marriott.

Had a few problems.
1- Booked Premier room but it overlooked the car par and Main Road but it was too noisy and they moved us.
2 - Room was not a premier room and looked out on to a hedge/ fence and one bed the mattress was too uncomfortable and worn.
3 -Moved us again to a pool facing room, much quieter.
In all the rooms the TV was unwatchable and every few minutes was loosing signal which is unacceptable for a hotel of this class.

We’ve recently stayed at Courtyard by Marriott in Phuket (Nov/Dec). My husband and I are frequent travellers to Phuket and have stayed in Patong more than 20 times. This hotel has now become my favourite overall. The staff were as welcoming and smiley as you’d expect in Thailand. What stood out however was the immaculate condition and cleanliness of our room and the expanse and cleanliness of the grounds. For a large hotel things never seemed too crowded. A special mention to the nicest breakfast team we’ve come across who recognised us from day 2 and knew our preferences – I’d like to thank Thlnan, Wan & Jaoh for their service at The Phuket Eatery … and the omelettes were superb too. We’ll definitely be back very soon

Great experience mainly thanks to an amazing staff running this hotel and its amenities. We came with a 1 year old baby and we had (almost) everything we needed! Everyone's so kind and generous although the hotel seemed very packed and busy! Left us with a great feeling of coming back again in the future
The room is a bit small. We reserved a 32 m sqr room, but it doesn't feel this size. We had to upgrade to another one.

The Hotel has changed from Patong Merlin to Court Yard Marriotts.We have been to this Hotel many times over the last 25 years The standard has increased and so has the cost of eating our drinking in the Hotel. These cost mean most guests don't eat our drink in the Hotel. Previously we would have drinks by the pool and eat in the restaurant.

This is our second time at this property and it has gone so far downhill.
My husband, son and I arrived and on our first day at only at the resort and became violently ill and needed the Dr to come and give us all IV fluids. We approached the hotel to advise them.
And we got….. offered a free buffet and the meal that made us sick for free. Come on!!!
Not to mention the prostitutes around the pool…. Hotel staff turn a blind eye. Nice for a family resort. Will never be back. Come if you want salmonella though.

The only negative was that we had a street-facing room with the Hard Rock cafe next door which could be noisy until late. However, this was a small price to pay for everything else which was fantastic.

That’s only issue because we expect there must be Tub in bathroom but unfortunately we didn’t find Tub. Because room charges are very high . Which is not value for money. The overall aesthetics including hardware were good. Nicely appointed rooms, great large family style pools.

What needs improvement is the software.

There seems to be no sense of urgency or any call of action to your feedback.

Overall food was disappointing, IRD Hainan chicken rice was over cooked with no flavors, texture of taste.

Plisa the lady on the phone was not very accommodating as well as Boom the night duty manager.

Our sleep for 3 nights was disturbing due to the two beds been joint to make one king bed

Thank you for the upgrade to a pool room on the ground floor and bottle of wine as service recovery on the shortfalls but no one checked upon our comfort the following days if we were sleeping well or not.

Breakfast Ms Pai at the waffle station always had a grumpy and a non accommodating attitude if we requested for hot pancakes her answer was take the ones which are on display first, zero anticipation on guest request or needs

Jane at check in was professional and polite.

Overall our stay was a hit and a miss in many aspects we would want to return however it’s the food and the staff that also contribute to the entire experience which on this stay wasn’t good

Hi. First time ever seeing this poor level of maintenance and cleaning. I've changed room while staying and in each room there was a serious cleaning problem. At the first room I had a cockroach and in the second room long hair remains in the bathroom immediately after I entered.
Stuff is very kind, but not as attentive as in other hotels. In regard to the location, on Hotels.Com app it shows a different location which is on the beach road and not as in reality where the location is at the parallel Road further east. I'm attaching photos of the things I've described in this post.

Overall experience was great and the kids pool was amazing!! Just some small areas of improvement: Buffet was a little limited with options but quality was good. Didnt like the fact that we had to make our own coffees for the breakfast buffet (everywhere we’ve stayed, our coffee order would be taken when we were seated). Rooms were a little smaller than we liked. No water was provided at the swimming pool lounges (again, everywhere we’ve stayed this was provided).

Great family holiday

A great resort for a break away - whether a family trip or just with friends. The resort is located very centrally but once inside you are in a tranquil and secluded hotel with multiple restaurants, bars and pools. The food was amazing at every restaurant and the staff were all really lovely, especially the room service staff. The beds and pillows were great and room amenities excellent. Overall terrific stay and we would highly recommend this hotel.

The check-in process and the initial refusal to honour the all inclusive offer we had prebooked that was only overturned by the duty manager because he \"couldn't find proof\" in the booking that it wasn't booked for all three guests left a bitter taste. The implication was very clear that he was saying the booking was somehow invalid. Eventually he 'let it go'. There is some retraining needed on front desk and the duty manager involved. Im stark contrast the staff everywhere else in the hotel were amazing for our whole stay from kids club to restaurants they were amazing. The food itself in the restaurants was of very high quality, and the service was.likewise so

iré a este. La ubicación es perfecta, y no es ruidoso para estar en Patong -como uno se imagina-; me
Encantó todo, la cercanía a la playa tan solo cruzando la calle, el recién inaugurado club Endless Summer está hermoso, buena música, buen ambiente. Del otro lado por la Rat Uthit Song Road se puede caminar a muy buenos restaurantes y cerca al Jungceylon. Si hay disponibilidad el upgrade de habitación es increíble. Y por supuesto el desayuno ni que hablar, excelente con muchísimas opciones, cocina local, western, chinese, Hindi. El customer service de todos sus colaboradores perfecto como siempre. Es por lejos el Mejor hotel en Patong.

The hotel is in good condition,very clean and maintained very well . Restaurants are really good and food is delicious. Staff are very nice and polite, one of nicest people I ever met. Only one thing that I didn’t like is how they handle guests that purchased All Inclusive package. It is very confusing, because there are separate menus for All Inclusive guests and some employees didn’t know how to handle it.

The only downpoint is the peak breakfast time is mayhem. The breakfast team do a great job organising residents. But some nationalities don't believe queueing applies to them and just walk in and sit at a table.
Avoid 9.00am to 10.00am for breakfast if possible.
Otherwise, a great hotel.

El hotel es excelente, las habitaciones muy cómodas, algunas un poco lejos del desayunador pero nada grave. Hay habitaciones remodeladas y otras no pero las más antinguas están perfectas. Hermosas piscinas. El desayuno es excelente con gran variedad. La zona de Patong es muy fea y sucia. Si vas en familia o con intención de descansar con buenas opciones grastronómicas yo pararía en Kata o Karon beach. Si tu decisión es Patong este es el hotel indicado.

The extensive number of staff was most impressive. There were always a large number of employees waiting to assist you for any number of things. It helped make my visit to a foreign country almost seamless. Jane was there to help me with every thing I needed. A big thank you to her.

Over all a great place to stay, especially for location! Next time I’d choose a room with a bigger bed. The double feels smaller than an Aussie double and is a squeeze for two standard adults. Housekeeping was exceptional! Buffet breakfast was also fantastic!

We loved this place overall – fantastic pools and facilities, great location just by the beach at the quieter end, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff. However, we booked the hotel specifically because we were 2 adults and a 10-year-old and they advertised a room with 2 double beds. These “double beds” were so small that it was a major challenge to fit two adults into one. The photographed room was misleading as to their size. We asked to be given a room with bed sizes more appropriate for the 3 people we had booked and paid for. And the staff promised to come back to us to tell us when another room came available but they never did. We chose to deal with the cramped conditions over spending any more of our holiday time chasing down staff to get their help.
