We had an amazing stay at Thavorn Resort in Phuket for our honeymoon and spent a full two weeks here. We absolutely loved the pool and private beach, and every walk back to the room felt special with beautiful flower gardens everywhere — the resort is truly lush and peaceful.

The room service was great, and it was very convenient that the resort has taxis available, so you don’t need to rely on apps to get around. They also offer a free shuttle to Patong three times a day, which made getting into town easy while still enjoying a quiet, relaxing resort.

Perfect place for a honeymoon or anyone looking for a scenic, relaxing stay. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Room Clean, Staff always on their cell phones so i had to interrupt them to get their attention most of the time. Noisy staff in am talking to loud outside. No Free sporting equipment for pool etc especially when ocean was full of rocks and unswimmable all day until tide came in. Activities not complimentary either. Gym closes at 6pm prices for dated rooms and food quality (meat undercooked)was not adequate for high prices being charged. Not 5 star quality. They need to put money into that hotel to bring it up to 5 star The only hard workers who had 5 Star quality was the Grounds Keepers & Pool staff. The Grounds & Pool was Excellent! Sunset can only be seen by walking to the extreme end of beach at the Pier.

1. Probably not suited for weatern people.
E.g the bacon was something I have never seen or tasted . Not great.
2. The pastry was old or not baked in the early morning. This is so easy to fix and would add calue to your venue.
3. Cold duck was not welcomed
4. The ham and salami probably my expectation was for a better quality/ type.
5. It a long indian breakfast instead more options for western

The staff was very friendly, the pool well maintained and the garden spectacular.

The hotel is lovely, I would put it at a 5 star level, staying at many 5 star hotels.
The staff is very friendly but in terms of fast service it’s a bit of a nightmare.

The quality of food is below average whether you order of the menu or buffet, it’s nothing to make you think to go back for more.

The pool is the highlight of the resort for sure, it’s just difficult for me to understand, you book 5 star and you get water temperature at full heat at 25-28 degrees and very little water pressure.

The housekeeping is extremely slow, but sometimes only getting to our room to be made up at 3-4pm.

The location is 5 star but everything else would be 3 star level

When you say staff can speak English, i wouldn’t say so. We used multiple times google translate to help us talk to staff that didn’t understand us at all.

Couldn’t be more pleased with my stay at Thavorn Beach Village. All of the staff are extremely welcoming and kind. Food was wonderful, with plenty of options for a variety of different preferences. Jan from food and beverage went above and beyond to provide great service, taking the time to learn our names and greet us each time she saw us around the resort. The grounds are stunning, giving the entire resort a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The traditional Thai architecture sets this resort apart from other resorts in the area. Close to Patong and Kamala beach, and a shuttle to both of these towns was offered by the resort, which was great. Overall, a must for your trip to Phuket.

This is absolutely not a \"5 star\" Hotel. The room was not cleaned very well prior to our first night, the air conditioner made the floors and surfaces in the room sticky, couldn't be barefoot or in socks in your own room. Found a few bugs and ants were all around the property. I picked up plenty of glass from the beach, just a little while after staff had \"cleaned\" the beach area. Forget about coordinating the shuttle too! Worst hotel we stayed at in 20 days of Thailand! It was supposed to be a fancier place to stay! 3 Star resort (maybe).

Thavorn Palm beach Resorts at Laron beach is awesome property. As we arrived , The check-in process at Thavorn Resorts and Spa was seamless, thanks to the Expedia booking reference which made everything quick and hassle-free. The staff were exceptionally polite and gentle, warmly welcoming us and, as a wonderful surprise, upgraded us to the private beachfront villas at no extra cost.

This 5-star property is truly a tropical paradise blending lush flora and fauna with stunning ocean views, creating a serene forest-meets-sea atmosphere. The grounds are impeccably maintained—spotlessly clean and beautifully landscaped. The peaceful ambiance is enhanced by the gentle sounds of the ocean, making it a perfect escape from the everyday hustle.

What really stood out were the numerous ancient Thai statues and idols scattered throughout the resort, adding a rich cultural vibe and bringing the surroundings to life. The petting zoo was a delightful bonus, especially fun for families or animal lovers.

Dining here offers a healthy selection with plenty of variety, ensuring there's something to please every palate. Overall, Thavorn Resorts and Spa offers a flawless blend of luxury, nature, and culture—highly recommended for anyone visiting Phuket.

If you’re after a resort-style experience, this is a good all round choice. There’s a shuttle to nearby areas, plenty of activities, and it’s well-suited to families travelling with children. The breakfast buffet is quite average, but meals from the Crocodile Bar were very good.

The hotels l was in the beach so I could enjoy it directly from the hotel. And the pool was amazing. One thing I didn’t like about was there were a couple of smoking spots by the pool or beach. The smoke from there bothered me a lot. It would be five stars if smoking was prohibited on the premises.

Not what we expected. advertised as a wellness spa resort, but reality is not!
We requested an early check in as we arrived at 9am, this was not met, waited 6 hours for our room! Wasn’t given the right information at check in. If you book half/ full board or all inclusive they give you coupons, to present when you enter the restaurant. (did not like this at all!) you get a different menu, very basic and the same menu for every meal, after 3 days we were ready for a change!!
Lots of young children, big inflatables in the pool, large groups, music playing all day, does not equal a place to come, relax and recharge! We had to ask to move rooms as the first pool access room faced out on the main pool area where everyone seemed to gather, making our room very public! (Room2114) avoid!!!!
The second was like going into a different resort, room 2118! What made this place was the staff, all so friendly and accommodating, trying to take care of your every need! We got the feel the staff were being closely watched, which made the atmosphere a little tense! On a positive note, the pool areas and grounds were beautiful! A useful note, take pumps for climbing on the rocks for when the tide is out!

Didnt meet my (high) expectations but still great

My expectations were high. The hotel has great marketing and the visuals on their site looked amazing. In reality the rooms were a little tired. We booked a two bed/ 2 bath suite with sea view which is one of their best rooms. I expected decent in-room coffee but this doesn’t come as standard.
A cable car is available to take you to rooms on the hillside but this runs at limited daytime hours. Although buggies are available if you want to wait.
There was considerable off-season maintenance work going on which was noisy and very disruptive. I would expect to know this when booking so I can make the choice to stay elsewhere. I think keeping this information from guests is actually quite dishonest. As a result much of the resort was not open and there was no evening entertainment.
We chose the low season because it suits our schedule and we prefer it to not be super busy but felt that more effort was needed to create a fun atmosphere in the evenings.
The private Beach is excellent and pool would be great but due to maintenance the loungers are very tightly crammed together leaving no space for privacy.
This is billed as a spa resort. The spa is very good but I expect the wellness theme to reflect in the fitness centre. The gym is quite poor. For those wanting to workout properly there are no weights machines/cables. No pull up bar. No barbells or plates. And the dumbbell set is incomplete with weight markings missing from many and the odd dumbbell missing.

From the moment we arrived at Thavorn Resort, we were swept away by the stunning grounds, warm hospitality, and tranquil vibes. This resort is truly a hidden gem nestled along a beautiful stretch of beach—perfect for anyone seeking both luxury and nature.

The lagoon-side pool room was spacious, clean, and steps away from the water. Waking up to the sound of birds and the lush tropical scenery felt like something out of a movie. The swimming pools are some of the best we’ve seen—winding, peaceful, and surrounded by gardens and charming animal statues that make the whole place feel magical.

Staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, whether it was arranging transportation, booking tours, or offering local recommendations. The breakfast buffet was full of delicious Thai and Western options, and dining by the sea at their restaurant was a highlight.

We especially loved the quiet, relaxed atmosphere compared to busier resorts—perfect for couples or families who want a peaceful stay. And the location? Ideal. Easy to access attractions like Big Buddha, Patong Beach, and the ferry to Phi Phi Islands.

Highly recommend staying here, whether it’s your first time in Phuket or your tenth. Thavorn has that rare combination of charm, comfort, and unforgettable views. We’ll definitely be back.

Our room wasn't ready when we checked in but they gave us a voucher for cocktails which was fine. We had to call reception for an extra towel and robe and the door to our room wasn't working properly so we had to request it be fixed twice in the 5 days we were there.

We had a wonderful stay at Thavorn Beach Resort recently. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite because we were with our tween/teen and the space was amazing. A lounge area separated our king room from their \"room\" which was basically an interconnected standalone room with bathroom.
The view from the room was amazing.
But what was the greatest for me, was the staff. Every single team member had a smile and greeting, every moment, every day. They were so sincere and genuine and truly helped make our stay memorable. Things like coming over to me poolside with a cake, singing Happy Birthday, when they discovered it was my birthday, and even things like remembering all of our names, are things that I'll always remember and appreciate.
Jan, in particular, is someone we will always remember dearly - thanks Jan!
Another stand out for me, was the gardens. They really are remarkable and I enjoyed weaving my way around discovering new hidden treasures each day.
The buffet breakfasts, pizza and cocktails by the pool, all truly amazing.
Everyone there obviously works very hard each day to create an amazing holuday for their guests. I'd definitely recommend it.

Location is great, staff was great but….needs major updating ….no ventilation in bathroom, ice cold showers for 3 days, house keeping skipped us, mequitos we’re def an issue, food and breakfast buffet just ok. We were talked into $3500 baht dinner because they said there would be a fire show but as we finished and paid for that dinner they cancelled the fire show. Great view but can’t really swim much cuz of the rocks.

The property was beautiful. Quiet beach, and awesome pool. We did an all inclusive option. It was ok. We were expecting more like a Mexico/Caribbean type of all inclusive. We were only allowed to choose from a smaller menu for food and drinks. We aren’t major foodies, and we went off site for some meals as well, so it wasn’t a show stopper, just something to be aware of, for others. It was our first time in Thailand and we have been sad about leaving ever since we left. Wonderful property all in all, and definitely hope to visit again. Peaceful and quiet, yet only a short tuk tuk ride to the action of Patong Beach!

Nice beach and garden, everything else is poor!

The garden and the beach are the best features of this place. Everything else are very poor.
The staff forgot your requests and do not even try to support you when they realized they missed it.
They aslo should improve the food quality.
The rooms smell mold and the AC was a lot noisy.
There’s a taxi desk station at the hotel. The person in charge of this service over charge significantly the rate. Some of the taxi that came over to pick us up confirmed us he often double the price, which is more that adding a normal margin!

Overall an average experience. The property is very outdated. Bed/pillow sheets have stains on them. Room feels too humid and has molds on the ceiling.

On the good side. The scenery is very beautiful. Food is good and the staffs are nice. Kids really enjoyed the pool access room and the petting zoo but we won’t consider this hotel again unless they do a full renovation.

The hotel need to pay attention much more in details according to the bathroom function for example our bathroom got block all the time after had a shower; the water run very slow and the smell of the toilet.
The hotel beach was lovely but cannot swim as there were so much rocks!
The garden was beautiful but there were lack of vibrant colour from flowers!
We ordered some foods from the restaurant and two Thai dishes was disappointed 😔 but the burger was delicious. The breakfast was ok; the only good thing was coffee and fruits. Overall it was ok but we won’t come back.

We had a cottage which was nice and clean but had alot of ants in the cupboards and countertops which annoyed the kids a bit. I feel quite disappointed in this property. The website made it look great, in particular the beach bungalows where we stayed. The bungalow was clean-ish, but very dated and ugly. The beach itself is litteted with plastic bottles and other rubbish. You dont see these photos on the website !
We also had our doors open to our beach bungalow, and were rudely told by a cleaner to shut our doors. Why ? Who knows. The whole point of a beach bungalow is to enjoy the view and sound of the waves.
I would never stay at this resort again. It was a huge disappointment for me.
The hotels mantra is about looking after their environment....they need to try harder.

If you want calm, beautiful gardens, amazing lagoon pool than this the hotel for you. 25 minutes to town in the free hotel shuttle is very handy. Jung Ceylon mall is fantastic for shopping and food.

Overrall great experience, would reccommend this hotel. Staff was amazing, even gave us a late check-out. I recommend packing water shoes because the beach has a dead coral bottom so if you wanna get in the water you have to wear water shoes.

Also beware, there's a lot of mosquitos at this hotel. Pack mosquito repellant!

Absolutely fell in love with this place. The breakfast was amazing. The food, the pools, the staff, the amazing lush greenery. Absolutely gorgeous property. We would definitely stay again. I would recommend a very small grocery store for small items like sunscreen, tylenol, etc. Not much on site for gift shop etc but it was all fantastic.

This resort was so beautiful. I came here with my husband and teenage daughter and we enjoyed our 2 day stay. The attention from the moment you arrive was great, we arrived a bit early, but went to go have lunch at the restaurant and the food was sooo delicious. Our entree plates, appetizers and dessert plates was presentable and delish and it exceeded our expectations. The resort is huge so our room was on hill a bit far to walk in this Thailand heat but they have a cable car and tuk tuk to take you to and from your room to the lobby area. There are so many beautiful places in the resort for beautiful pictures because of the asthetic of it. Pool was clean and we had clean towels daily. If you wanted to walk out the resort theres nothing nearby as everything is a drive down near Patong beach about 7-8 mins away by car. All in all I would be back with my family, but next time we’ll def get a room closer to the pool or beach.

While the property itself is somewhat beautiful, the surrounding landscape needs lots of attention. Everyday we did see pool cleaners but no one caring for the lush landscaping around everything. They must have been doing painting between guests because we had plastic on our light switches and there was still painters tape on the fake shutters in the room. The breakfast buffet was huge, so many options and very good. The menu the rest of the day was just ok. All the Thai food was amazing but if you moved away from that you might be a bit disappointed. Ie….. the pizza was soggy so it’s hard to handle, the nachos are very flavorless and no salt somewhat stale tasting but they come with a small amount of guacamole which was runny and pico not salsa. The staff by the pool only work at the restaurant so no one comes around for drinks during the day. You have to go to the bar yourself for drinks. The lounge chairs by the pool were all very uncomfortable, one tour had a bar in the middle of your back but both were not good on the lower back. The petting zoo in the mornings is very cute, small colorful birds, piglets and rabbits all to feed. Lastly, if the front desk says they are going to contact you when you’re room is ready, don’t be surprised if they don’t follow through.

Great scenery. Nice pools . Enjoyable atmosphere.
Had to fight mosquitoes throughout the stay.
Keep in mind if book rooms with pool access or near the pool.

Initially we had a room which was high floor and not practical The staff were very nice and changed it for us to a room on ground floor section Staff very friendly and remembered us and names whenever they saw us Very polite
