The location was good. Not far from the central train station. Check-in is a little tricky. The hostel sign is easy to miss and you're likely end up at a wrong address. Then you need to be buzzed in, which only happened for us after several attempts. Internet in the rooms was terrible, slightly better in common areas.

Absolutely terrible. I booked my hotel at around 9 pm and I get there an hour or two later from a long day of travel by train. It’s raining outside, and the gate is locked to get in, I try calling and they don’t answer. I try to have Hotels call them and they say they can’t get ahold of them. I ask for the money back since I physically can’t get in my room, and they say that this place denied my request for my money back. Keep in mind this is all happening while it’s raining and I’m trying to get inside, in the middle of the night in a foreign city. So I then have to take a 20 € Uber to another hotel I had to book for another 50€. This place is the worst, avoid at all costs, they have no integrity.

Pretty basic property and room. Great location as it’s closed to Milano central station but that’s all that’s really going for it. Rooms do not look like the photo. Other guests were pretty loud even into the late hours of the night and doesn’t seem to be any rules around that. Great if you need somewhere to crash for the night but wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Our room was infested with bed bugs, literally all over the bed, they changed us for a different room and later in the morning while we inspected again we found 2 more bedbugs. This place should be closed as it seems the whole building is infested. We stayed in the third level and again in the 4th level. Both rooms had the same issue. Also the hostel refused to refund is the money when they said they would personally. This is very unprofessional.

It’s a simple room, no AC so it’s hot. The kitchen only has the fridge to use and not the stove at all. Some long term guests stayed here and basically you get what you pay for.

Entrance hasn’t looked about the Hotel.
Reception guy was impolite . He suddenly ask me 「Are you pregnant ? 」I’m not. Then he said “wait a moment “ I waited him at the entrance after 10mini . It’s nothing moment. Also he didn’t say “Sorry for waiting “or “Thank you”

After that, he try to cut in line another customer.
I complained to him.
He has obviously impolitely parson .

Central Hostel Milano is the place to stay! The customer service is incredible, friendly, and willing to go out of their way to help! If I come back to Milan I would stay here because of the nice staff and great location. People are also really nice and friendly at the hostel, enjoyed my stay in Milan.

People I recommend you not to book this Fraud property at all especially if you are planning a late check-in after 6 pm. In their policies they say late check-in can be requested but the truth is once you make the payment they are not willing to pay heed to your requests and they don't bother if you are able to check-in at their property or not. And most importantly, do not expect a refund at all since they will deny Expedia's request just because it against their policy and they like to have free money without providing any service. Worst experience of booking hotel on Expedia and at Central Hostel Milano. Please book better properties even if you have to shell out few more dollars. Much better than paying money to thieves.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL.

We requested a late check in when we booked and got confirmation that we didn't need to do anything further.

As we were going to be arriving at 1am I sent 3 emails via expedia asking for arrival instructions and received no reply.

I tried to phone on numours occasions the day before and after finally getting through to them while sitting in the airport departures they informed us that as they could not do a late check in they had cancelled our booking.

They said that they informed expedia that they had done this but neither the hostel or expedia contacted us which would have meant that we would have turned up to a closed hostel at 1am with a tired 6 year old.

I am still in the process of trying to get a refund but both the hostel and expedia are refusing this.

Im not someone who usually leaves reviews but this absolutely ruined our weekend.

Hostel from hell!

While in Milan, my plans changed, so I booked a room at this hostel for the night around 10:30 PM. But it turns out that check in finishes at 10 PM. That didn't stop them from taking my money and confirming the booking after check in closed!

I got there not long after and kept buzzing but no answer, so I thought the buzzer was broken. I then called the number on the hostel's page on Expedia, and the person who answered said there is no one on site, so I can't check in and I should leave.

What kind of hostel doesn't have staff on site?

The name makes it sound grand, but ita a hostel from hell!

The hotel was quite hard to find but eventually after walking round a few times, one of the staff saw me and checked me in. Their is a nice common area with a balcony a small kitchen and free wifi, the only problem was the air conditioning wasn't very good so it was really hot in the rooms and the bed was very uncomfortable.

We made a reservation online, barely found the place as streets are not identified and our USA phones won't work in Italy (Sprint also lied to me that mine was unlocked so I can't use with a SIM card-poses a huge challenge so test your phone before you leave the states!).
We barely got someone to come to the door/gate. There was another group of 3 people(2 men and 1 woman) there before us so we let them go ahead of us, they did not have a reservation and were asking for a room. They were shown a room with a twin bed and they took it. They spoke Italian. We figured our room must be being held for us as we reserved. NOPE, the older man said bye and left. The younger man asked for my passport as if to check us in, called me into the office and had me take a seat then told me there was no room for us and that the reservation was made after 6pm when their office is closed. Ridiculous. 2 ladies were put out in the night to find another accommodation. There weren't any in that area, we went to about 5 hotels before we could find something. As we were leaving/escorted out, there were more people who arrived at the door and said they had made reservations too.

Cheap, friendly, safe

For the price, location and the bare necessities, it's wholly adequate. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was concerned re safety since i'm used to hotels but this place is absolutely fine. From a two-day reservation, I decided to stay all month.

Very strict and on-flexible with checkin times

Contacted hostel due to check in time being after 6pm, no one answer email. Contacted expedia re this, they weren't unable to contact hostel. In the end, turned up and no one was there to check me in. Had to get another hostel

Great location, great staff

The staff at this hostel were the best, fine with me coming in late at very short notice and still spent time to show me a map of Milan and where everything was in detail! Also held my bags for the day after checking out, and were welcoming in inviting me out to party with them! The room itself was good, comfortable, and bathrooms and kitchen were fine! Location was also great, walkable distance to centrale and even closer to metro. Would recommend.

Turned up at the hostel after the designated checking in time to be told to sit aside and wait, this ended up me being waiting around 20 minutes to speak to the very casual style staff force.

Upon checking in I was informed there was a problem with the room I was hoping to stay in. Apparently there was a small leak and they tried to fob me off with some excuse, whilst they were outlining that I would no longer be able to stay in the female only dorm that I had booked, I looked down at the diary to see that the room appeared to be full. Clearly, they had overbooked so put me into a mixed dorm which I wasn't overly happy with but was only told on the spot so decided to take it.

Talking to some of the other people staying in the hostel, one girl was told that her bank account did not send through the deposit to the hostel properly (although the money had gone from her account) so central hostel had given the twin room to someone else and taken the money from her. Very dodgy and slightly corrupt service they are running here.

The hostel is as okay, the rooms are fairly clean for the price, it's ideal.

It is only available reception until 5pm, I arrived at 11pm and they didnt only cancelled my booking without even informing that, they actually kicked me off of the place in the worst and rudesrt manner ever, it was a brazilian receptionist with no idea at all of customer service, he told me they only did a pre-authoristion on my card but they actually took the money from my card and cancelled my booking! so no refounf and no hostel, had to look fo a different place to sleep at middnaugh in a city I have never been before- terrible experience I dont recommend this place at all, staff sucks and policies they have are ridiculous

Even by Italian Hostel standards, this is a pretty basic place. E.g.: they ask you to limit your time in the shower to 7 minutes, lest you use up all the hot water. But, the one time I tried to take a shower during my four days here, there was no hot water in the shower to begin with! So what was that all about?

The door for the hotel looks anything like it, is only an intercom, you ring and takes you through a parking area, a little awkward, but hey is Italy, anything is possible.

Clean room great staff. However, because this is a hostel, it transformed into a frat house at night with people fighting, door slamming, running up and down, yelling all night. After a long flight, we couldn't sleep all night. Needless to say, we ended up having a really cranky second day. Pay more and stay at a hotel if you want a guaranteed good night sleep.

Called a few days before to tell them we would be there after 6. They said that would be fine but when we arrived nobody was there and they said they cancelled our reservation. Found one hotel with availability that cost us almost 200 euro. Went to the hostel the next day and they made us pay and told us we couldn't stay there. So rude and so unprofessional. Had to leave Milan because we had nowhere to stay.

People in this hostel are very helpful! I had problems with my wisdom tooth and had to do an extraction. They helped me find a very skilled dentist with low cost in Milan. I was very appreciated and highly recommend this hostel!

short trip to the city of Milano

interest welcome from very camp man, advised me of the best places to visit if i am homosexual and proud to be it, seemed to know where all the best fashion shops and local parks were located, wanted to know if i was due to visit these areas after dark for some reason, kept asking if i was gay, even when i said i was not... he then again asked if i was gay which seemed very strange to me... he then seemed to accept the fact that i was not gay, then later on again... he asked if i was gay. Hostel itself had great heating and kitchen area although no breakfast or correctly working shower as sometimes it was cold then hot etc.

Un cauchemar !!!!!

J'ai vécu un cauchemar ! J'ai réservé une nuit dans cet hébergement . Arrivée à l'accueil, on me donne une chambre qui ne correspond pas à celle que j'avais réservé et ensuite je constate que la chambre est très sale et ressemble à une cellule de prison. Faites attention, la plupart des photos ne correspondent pas à l'hébergement.
En fin de journée, je prend une douche à 20h et à peine sortie je me fais engueuler par le gérant qui fumait en même temps sa cigarette électronique.... Je tiens à préciser que j'ai laissé les lieux propres.
De plus, quel plaisir de me réveiller le lendemain matin avec une punaise de lit sur le lit et le corps recouvert de piqûres.
Surtout passez votre chemin et réservez ailleurs !
Après mon séjour, j'ai demandé qu'on me rembourse la nuit et le gérant a refusé. Le pompon sur la garonne !

La maleducazione e la lealtà di questo hotel è al quanto disgustoso. Sono andato in molti hotel,sia italiani sia esteri.E questo rimane l'hotel più vergognoso che abbia mai potuto prenotare. Circa una settimana fa ho prenotato questo hotel poiché mia sorella era rimasta a Milano e non poteva tornare a casa. Appena abbiamo sbagliato a prenotare l'hotel perché \"non agibile\" poiché prenotato troppo tardi. Ho richiesto subito la cancellazione. Cancellazione gratuita nominata dal titolare che era inesistente. Quindi mi ha consigliato di contattare l'assistenza,che ho fatto e dopo una lunga settimana l'assistenza ha combattuto per questo rimborso mai avvenuto. Un hotel gestito da persone vergognose tirchie e bugiarde. Non oso immaginare cosa avremmo trovato se ci fossimo cimentati in una stanza. Le auguro di ascoltare il cliente perché verso noi ha fatto una figuraccia,e si è dimostrato per quel che è. Buona giornata!

Kylpyhuoneen oven lukko suljettiin avaimella. Lukko oli ainakin minulle vaikea saada auki. Tuli jo tunne, että niinköhän jään kylppäriin. Onneksi mieheni neuvoi ulkopuolelta mitä on tehtävä.

I was charged extra 20 euros, for arriving after 6 pm (which I think it is an abuse, since it is basically the price of a new bed). It is now clear on Expedia website that policy.

Most important, I am full of animal bites in all my body, they have bedbugs or something which makes me even more upset, I have around 40 bites.

L’aereo ha avuto qualche ora di ritardo, sono arrivato in ostello alle 23 e non c’era nessuno per fare il check in. Ho chiamato il numero di emergenza e mi hanno detto che il check-in andava fatto prima delle 18 e che mi hanno provato a chiamare 1 volta (mentre ero in volo). Niente email, niente seconda chiamata, niente messaggi. Per strada alle 23.

Ho dormito una notte nella stanza singola di questo ostello.Era comoda,pulita e silenziosa.Ringrazio il proprietario per la gentilezza con cui mi ha accolto.tornerò sicuramente.

No tienen lockers y tampoco dan llave para entrar al cuarto, o sea que cualquiera puede entrar. El baño no olía bien, parece que no lo lavan seguido.

Мне не помогли и не вернули деньги

Мне не помогли разобраться с проблемой: я не смог приехать в отель до 18 00 вечера. Мне аннулировали всю бронь ( на два дня) , деньги не вернули, а заселили на второй день с дополнительной оплатой.

Very polite staff, nice room, perfect location. Only minus that i booked a package from ebookers and the flights didnt match the check in time for the hostel. I spent the forst night in the airport. Due to this fact the staff was kind enough to offer a discount for the next stay.
