Nice little hotel. Only a few minutes walk away from Metro with shops and plenty of restaurants close by. Only a few stops to city center.Room was nice and simple with a fridge. Small bathroom but didn't mind. Just personally would like to thank two of the staff Luana and Anna who helped me with a health issue on my last night. So grateful.Thanks. All of the staff were brilliant.

I initially had some issues with the property after some misunderstanding. The complaint was brought up to the owner who was a gentleman and could not have been more helpful.

Other than that the property is very close to the metro, conveniently located, and an amazing prize for the location. Would repeat when I return to Milan.

This should be a one-star hotel. It is actually a small, old house with rooms transformed for guests. It is very basic and outdated with some appliances such as the hair dryer being broken, no shampoo in the bathroom - just soap. I stayed in December and the room was pretty cold with no clear way to make it warmer. Somehow close to the main train station which is the reason I booked it initially.

Like, I believe, every Italian hotel, 4 euro per person per night in cash is required. But it is still less than one in Florence where 5.5 euro. They call it tax, but from Expedia email, this money has been in the hotel book. Not a decent thing by people of descendants of glorious Rome time. A sort of mean, I have to say.

Apart from this, things are fine. People are decent. The most impotent to me, it is quiet.

I stayed only for 2 nights in a suite room and it was more than enough for my needs in terms of space. The hotel is clean and the receptionist was very kind. The hotel is small and well located close to Piazzale Loreto where there's a metro station and some bus lines. I was satisfied with the service.

I travel to Milan alot due to my support of Il Calcio Italiano. On arrival, I was greated with friendly staff and the single room I booked was nice. I got a new european travel adapter which somehow didn't fit the Italian sockets correctly so I went down to the reception desk and I was given a lend of a samsung plug for my stay. Breakfast was included and typical Italian, Continental which was tasty and set you up for the day. Free coffee which is always great too. Location is 5 mins walk from Loreto on M1 and M2 and close to Corso Buenos Aires for shopping etc. I could not fault the staff or the facilities. This Hotel will definitely be on my list of Hotels to stay while in Milan.

Wonderful staff, eager to help with any issue. Hotel is just two blocks from the metro. A bus stops on the corner. There is a park across the street. Breakfast is okay as long as you do not want a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage or hash browns. The shower stall is too tiny, and there is no elevator. Otherwise, the room was comfortably air conditioned and bed was comfortable to sleep on.

The location is excellent--right next to the metro. The neighborhood has a park, which closes so the area is quite quiet at night.

The minute you walk in, and in the hallways, it smells like cigarettes. When I asked for extra towels they responded with why?

I normally never have my room cleaned until the end; I see no need, I'm a clean person on a short trip & after staying in communal places I love privacy. It was a big deal to them & basically I was told after the third day I had to have my room changed & cleaned. So I relented, but came back to find my door had been left open for I don't know how long. When I told the staff she thanked me for telling her & told me the cleaning lady was very stupid--this reaction & statement are completely unprofessional.

The room itself was basic, but enough for one person. The heat worked insanely well, which was a true gift and joy in the winter. Nothing is terribly outdated--my toilet did not have a proper flush mechanism, only the button sticking out of the wall, and the seat kept moving, so there are some maintenance issues but nothing dire. The Wifi worked very well the first two days but then slowed--not sure why.

For the cost, location, and value it was good. However, the customer service is not great and quite frankly we are both very lucky that nothing was stolen. I also wonder about their need to question any requests and their insistence on being in your room.

The Hotel location is great - 5 minute to metro.
Staff is very friendly and always tries to help you.
It would be great if they update the showers. At least in my room, the shower was falling down as soon as I turn water on because the handle was so old and completely weared out.

Lovely hotel.

We turned up at the hotel late, 00:15, it was no problem 24hr reception, staff really helpful, friendly and booked us in quickly. The bed was comfy, everything clean and although it's not the most modern hotel we had everything we needed. A spacious room, reasonably priced mini bar and a balcony.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the trains and trams and 2 stops from milan central.

Staff were brilliant, very friendly and couldn't do more to help. We were able to leave our bags with them on our last day and collect them in the evening which meant a lot not having to lug them around with us all day. Room was lovely, very clean and large. Very good holiday. Only 5 minute walk to the tube.

Good hotel with minor issues

Was a pretty good hotel, room a little dirty when I got there. Bin not emptied, dirty glasses etc but second day was much better. Location was good. Only a 15min walk to the nearest metro which you can use to get all round the city, watch out though because the station closes at midnight. Only problem I had with location was being offered sex by a lady when walking home one night so be careful of this especially if you don’t speak the language as it could become awkward.

A gem of a place

We stayed for 2 nights in the family suite. The hotel owners were so helpful and made us very welcome. The suite was modern, clean and peaceful and had two bedrooms which was perfect for a family visit. Some great restaurants close by, and easy to walk towards the main shopping area, whilst still being located in a quiet area.

Extreme lack of hygiene and sanitation

Let me start with the positive aspects - the staff at the reception desk were very friendly and they spoke good English. The hotel also looks charming from the outside.

Unfortunately, these positive things cannot compensate for the terrible conditions of their rooms. I stayed there for three nights and I had the chance to see two of their rooms because on my second night there I was moved to another room due to an issue that I will not comment on here since I think it doesn't apply to everyone.

Both of the rooms that I was given smelled mouldy, and furniture looked old and somehow neglected.
I usually don't tend to focus on the negative aspects of my hotel stays, but this time I feel that I need to say something. Both bathrooms were very dirty, the shower drains were full of hairs (hence clogging the drain), the towels looked clean but they smelled bad, as if no detergent was used when they were washed.

The bed quilts were stained but I think that is a usual thing for a 3 star hotel.
However, the pillowcases and the bed sheets were also stained in several places, they were wrinkled, and in the second room I could smell someone else's perfume on the pillow case. The toilet seats also looked like they haven't been cleaned properly.

On one occasions I saw a cockroach in the corridor.

I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel due to the extreme lack of hygiene in their rooms, which is a shame since I think this place has potential to be a very charming family hotel.

Nice Hotel for a Reasonable Price!!!

Our room was very comfortable, pay a little more for the superior room it is worth it! Anna who checked us in was so nice! She took the time to give us a map of Milan and mark out the shopping and downtown area! Highly recommend the Aspromonte, I would definitely stay there again! Wifi was fast and reliable! Loreto Metro stop is a few blocks away!

On arrival late in the evening we were greeted well by reception staff (I think her name was Francesca). She showed us to the room and was helpful with questions.
The room itself was very basic. Two twin beds pushed together.. one of the beds, the spring had broken and visibly slanted to the left so my partner had to lie on the right hand side of his bed to prevent him from rolling off.
In one of the bedside table drawers was a box of condoms that had been opened. There were wrappers in there and all sorts .. need I say more.
In the hotel room there were no instructions for anything, no signage or welcome packs.
We proceeded to work the air conditioning as although it was March it was 20 degrees and very warm. No remote so had to stand on a chair to press the buttons.
Location of hotel was ok. A 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station (Piola) which from there you could get anywhere. There was a carrefour supermarket around 7 minutes walk away too.
Had some problems with the staff at Hotel Aspromonte too which I feel I must include in the review. After the air conditioning did not work on night two, we asked a member of staff for advice. He rudely said that it was winter and they shut the air conditioning off and keep the remotes locked behind reception. No signage to say this though and it worked the night before.. he suggested we open a window. When asked about the condoms he said the hotel has high cleanliness rating and denied everything. Very unhelpful.

Friendly, comfortable hotel. Good value for money in an area reasonably close to Milan City Centre. Our room was upgraded on arrival which was a pleasant surprise and we were very impressed with the pleasant, efficient staff. Breakfast is charged as an extra but at E4 per head we found it was very fairly priced. Would definitely return here if we planned another trip to Milan.

A Simple Place

Hotel Aspromonte is good for it's price. They serve a simple breakfast for a very moderate price of 3 euro per person. It is a small quiet place at a place where locals live. It is not a nonsmoking hotel so you can really smell the cigarette that has been smoked. We had a nonsmoking room but just outside the door you could smell the cigarette.
It is an easy walk to both the red and green metro lines and an easy short ride to the historic center of Milan. We choose it for the price and with a metro pass we were able to go anywhere in the city. It is not far from Milano Centrale train station both by train and by a short taxi ride which cost about 8 euros. It is better to take a taxi if you have luggage. If coming from Malpensa the taxi is very expensive, about 100euros. Take the airport bus from just outside the arrival terminal to Milano Centrale. At centrale when you get off the bus the taxis will be right ahead of you and take the taxi to the hotel. This way is very convenient and cost less than half of what you will pay for a taxi direct from the airport.
Bruno is very helpful and very nice, They do not have elevators so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. They will help you with that though.

The young lady receptionist made us fill very welcome, 10 out of 10, she gave us lots of tip on where to visit in Milan most helpful, we are very grateful for that.
We paid 3 days buffet breakfast but told after having the first breakfast that this only comes with one cup of coffee and i had two cups and that well chargeable, felt like been back at school being told off, found this petty when we were not told at the beginning so beware but the coffee was good, other then that our stay was good and would stay again in this hotel

nice little budget hotel, close to downtown

Very clean and quite hotel.
The hotel is 20 mins walk from Milano Centrale station and 30 mins walk to Doumo.
The (twin) room and shower in the room were smaller than we thought. We had only one big bag and the room was full. There was a safe in the wardrobe which was very useful and the bed was comfortable.
Receptionists speak fluent English and printed out our tickets - thank you.
We did not have breakfast - so can not comment on the breakfast.

The hotel was clean and not too far from metro stops. M1 (red) and M2 (green) stopped in the area. It was about 5 stops from Duomo and two stops from the Milano Centrale station. It was in a quiet neighborhood. There were a couple of restaurants right outside of the hotel.

The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. The AC worked well. Breakfast food was nice.

I enjoyed my small but comfortable and clean room at the tastefully decorated Hotel Aspromonte, located in a quiet residential neighborhood just 5 easy Metro stops from the Duomo. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. The only drawback is that there's no elevator, if you have a lot of luggage. Otherwise, a great value and highly recommended.

Small, quaint hotel in north-east Milan

Stayed here for 5 nights recently while visiting Milan.

I was greeted cordially by staff upon arrival. Most staff spoke English and were quite happy to speak it with me. Gentleman on reception kindly offered to assist me with my luggage, informing me there was no lift.
He also offered me a map and marked both the hotel and the historical city centre on it.
I was also provided with wi-fi login details upon arrival.

Room was adequate in size, with a single bed, flat screen TV, windows with shutters and a fridge (in which there was a very welcome complimentary bottle of mineral water).
Large bathroom with corded power shower and a bidet.

Breakfast was good, with juices, bread, cheese, croissants and fresh coffee available - there were also other options such as yoghurts, cereals, etc but no eggs or other hot food.

The wi-fi was fairly quick and stable during my stay.

My highest praise goes to the staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble - from calling me a taxi to get to the airport to calling me if I was still in bed late morning to enquire if I wanted / needed the room cleaned.

Highly recommended and would stay at Hotel Aspromonte again.

We had a very pleasant five day stay here. The staff was very accomodating and helpful, especially in finding good restataunts nearby. Their English was also very good. The hotel was within a decent walking distance,5 to 10 minutes of the subway,so it was fairly easy to get anywhere we wanted in Milan.

Good for the price

Stayed here for two nights and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, the bed wasn't super comfortable. It got pretty loud with barking dogs and yelling kids from the park across the street. It's in a good location outside the heart of the town. It was about a 5-10 min walk to the metro and about a 30 min walk to the Duomo.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights. Room was clean, breakfast was very satisfying, and staff very nice and helpful. The only downside was that it is a bit far from the center but you can get there walking!

Decent hotel, fantastic staff

The hotel was a short walk from loreto metro station and easy to find. The girl who welcomed me was fantastic and an example to hotel staff everywhere. She thought of everything I might need to know for my stay both at the hotel and in Milan. The room was what I would expect for the price range but the bathroom was really nice and spacious. The breakfast was the usual sort of thing with a selection of pastries, cereal, bread, cheese, yogurt etc. the croissants and coffee (made fresh by a member of staff) were very good. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Good base for exploring Milan

Near Metro stop in a quiet residential neighborhood, away from the downtown bustle. Kids playing in the park across the street. Decor of room was bare bones. Room and bathroom were small but very clean. Breakfast was simple but excellent and served in a charming breakfast room. Free wi-fi a real plus.

The location of the hotel is really good, it is close to the metro station Loreto. The room was clean and there was some small bathroom with a shower, toilet and bidet. Unfortunately we had some problems with flushing system and a balcony which was fool of bird's sh..... You can use a satellite tv in the room. I think that this hotel was an average for such price.. Breakfast was ok, u could have found all basic things but they didn't have any cooling machine and vegetables were missing.. Coffee was really tasty 'cause they prepared it in coffee machine. Hotel staff was nice and helpful...
