The owners were very nice and the food was excellent.
The room was nice however we were disappointed with the bathroom. We expected a jacuzzi tub, but the jets didn’t work in the tub. There was no shower head, only a hand-held faucet, plus there was no shower enclosure.
Made it a challenge to wash without creating a mess all over the bathroom.

Family run hotel, nice owners, very convenient location for travelling, because just a little outside of the town center of Varazze. Fantastic food in their restaurant. Good continental breakfast.
The only thing I had a small problem with was that the fan in the bathroom was not working, and that the showerfloor was not very nice.....broken tiles etc. The room was very hot, the aircondition was not on but eventually at night with a slightly open window it cooled down.

Excellent Hotel in every way.

This is an excellent hotel. Although it is old it is bang up to date in terms of the rooms which were well fitted out with even a mini bar fridge. It was spotlessly clean with comfy big bed. All new curtains etc and also air conditioning. Balcony with loungers. The restaurant food was also excellent. It is right across from the sea so had lovely views. Great value for money. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was just off the coastal road and so some rooms have a fantastic view, unfortunately not all and we just got a glimpse of the sea from our room. The outside of the building wasn’t presented at its best but inside everything was very modern and extremely clean. The rooms had great air con and electric black out blinds, the toilet and shower were very nice and again very clean. Food was good in the evening under a covered terrace area and breakfast, included in the price, was very good. Great place for passing travellers

We stoped here to break up a day trip Monterosso to Monaco and heading back to Milan. It was a great place to reduce this trip. Clean and walking distance to restaurants. The staff were friendly there was free parking and breakfast.

The Hotel Le Roi is situated on the road into Verazze from the main coastal motorway and sits high on the cliffs overlooking the sea. I'm sure the view from the rooms overlooking the Med. would have been fantastic. Sadly there were none available when we stayed, we asked and offered to pay any difference but they were busy. The Hotel had a cycling team in with 2 trucks and a car, which made the car park tricky to exit when we left.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean and had a hydrotherapy shower.
Breakfast was disappointing. Wherever we have stayed a continental breakfast has always offered meats, eggs and cheese. This Hotel had neither, nor was any milk available and the croissants were poor. One member of staff was on hand to provide coffee, which was excellent, but they were also manning reception so perhaps some attention to detail was lost.
Because of the location it was quite a walk to the local town and beach. The road is very busy ( but did not detract from the room), and there are no footpaths.
Overall a nice hotel but we expected a little more.

Hotel was fine. Had parking for the car. But they don't seem to speak much English, which caused a problem as there is a silly policy there, where I thought I had paid for the hotel in full when booking it. But this is not the case. If you read the fine print, the amount you think you pay is just to secure the room and you have to actually pay upon check out. This is a crazy system that must be changed. The breakfast would have benefited with some cereal and milk as well. There was not a great range other than toast, yoghurt and pastries.

This hotel has been completely renovated and is fantastic. The owners are wonderful and the restaurant divine. It is a bit of a walk to the beach and down town but this was not a problem. There is a bus stop at the front door.

We have booked this Hotel for one night. As long as we were coming from Germany we have called in advance to advice about our need to have a late check-in (after 12:00 am), and it was agreed by Laura from the Hotel. However, for our surprise, when we arrived the hotel was closed and by clicking on the ring bell the most we got was a lady telling that the reception was closed and she would not open it for us. As a result we had to go another hotel where we were very well served (Hotel Savoy).
We do not recommend it at all!

Hotell Le Roi - friendly with great food

We really enjoyed our stay in Varazze, thanks to Le Roi. Very nice room - with sea view - and helpful staff. Nice breakfast (ask for ham and you´ll get it!). Their restaurant must be one of the best in town. Delicious seafood and excellent service. Not to mention great wines!
Wi-fi does not reach all rooms (including ours), but was free.
The location is good, but not great, 1 km from center of the town.

För dig som vill bada i medelhavet

Familjeägt hotell 5min från stranden. Fanns en charm hos ägarna, även om kommunikationen mestadels bestod av charader med oss turister.

Bra restaurangutbud efter 10-15min promenad. Snabbt internet.

Ok rum och frukost, det senare kunde förbättras med enstaka kokta ägg / äggröra tror jag. Nu mestadels sötsaker. Tyvärr endast 90min laddning till elbilen, fick stå i 3 omgångar o få 20% vardera gång.

Das Hotel war OK, in der Nebensaison darf man sich vom Frühstücksbuffet allerdings nicht zu viel erwarten: Die Auswahl und Frische der Produkte ist eher bescheiden. Man kann es aber auch positiv sehen: Es wird Food Waste vermieden.

Gutes Mittelklasshotel, moderne, eher kleine Zimmer. Gute Matratze und mehrheitlich ruhig. Ein bisschen ausserhalb von Varazze, jedoch mit Parkplatz, was sehr hilfreich ist, da es in Varazze sehr schwierig ist Parkplätze zu finden. Kleiner Spaziergang um ins Zentrum zu gelangen. Insgesamt schöner Aufenthalt mit reichhaltigem Frühstücksbuffet mit Blick aufs Meer. Würden wieder hier übernachten

The structure is modern and well maintained, the rooms comfortable and clean, the bathroom with shower, the owners very sociable and kind, the breakfast very good, parking available and a few steps from the Europa seafront which takes you easily on foot to Cogoleto or Varazze. the structure also has an excellent à la carte restaurant, with fish and meat dishes, and pizza made in a wood-fired oven.

Séjour de 3 nuits à varazze.
Hôtel très propre avec une chambre correcte.
La proximité de la route n'est pas gênante.
Un bémol cependant sur le petit déjeuner qui est très insuffisant pour un 3 étoiles et pour lequel il faut réclamer pour les produits salés. Idem pour la climatisation qui est gérée depuis la réception.
Bon dîner au restaurant.

La struttura è molto moderna, camere rinnovate, tecnologia molto avanzata. Pure troppo, infatti le tapparelle si sono chiuse da sole mentre ero sul balcone, a malapena sono riuscito a rientrare in camera. Il tutto dovuto al fatto che smagnetizzandosi la card inserita nella fessura, risultava come fossi uscito. 1) Andrebbe segnalato che uscendo si chiude la serranda automaticamente ; se ho le scarpe sotto la serranda a prendere aria mi si tranciano 2) sostituita la card, il problema si è riproposto. Si aggiunga un check in freddissimo (\"nome?\" unica frase postami), ed una colazione a cui mancavano succhi, salato,macedonia, pane fresco (evidentemente eravamo troppo pochi per metterli), il succo è arrivato poi a gentile richiesta. No affettati, due mele e due kiwi, no uova, addirittura con vassoi e campane vuoti (almeno, toglieteli la prossima volta...). Climatizzatore non funzionante (\"ci vogliono 3 giorni perche' l'inverter passi dal caldo al freddo\"...sara'... Quindi, bene ma non benissimo.

Unfortunately very disappointed given the good reviews here. The staff was very unwelcoming, the room was like a cave with a wall just outside the window. AC didn’t work properly and only went down to 22 degrees. There was a motion detector in the room that flashed bright yellow and red lights any time you moved, no idea what was the purpose? Bad breakfast with no fresh food. Also the location is to far out from the city. I would not recommend.

Ich würde es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist schön 5 Min vom Strand entfernt. Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel. Das Essen am Abend war super ebenso das Preis Leistunsverhältnis. Das Frühstück lässt einige Wünsche offen. Z.b Brot Käse Fleisch. Die Amaturen im Bad waren leider defekt und wurden nicht repariert. Es war jedoch alles sehr sauber.

Nice family-run hotel

Family run hotel with nice room/ bathroom. There was a bit of renovating still going on. This was mentioned in a message which was send after the non-refundable reservation had been made….
Poor timing but it did not cause much nuisance, so not a biggy. Same goes for what was said about the possibility to check in until 7pm, while we even made the reservation after that time! At 9 pm we could still enter through the restaurant and still check in thoug. Breakfast was ok, the location is great: 1 minute away from the highway and across the street from the sea! So the next morning we did not go back on the highway but continued up the coastline. Highly recommended!

Albergo con stanze piuttosto moderne (a volte troppo: non semplicissimo capire come funziona la doccia e l'aria condizionata), sufficientemente ampia, con una balconata bella e comoda con sdraio, tavolino e pavimento in legno dove un bambino può sgambettare senza pericolo. Colazione a buffet buona e abbondante (quanto ai dolci, come salato c'è solo la focaccia - ottima - e la possibilità di farsi fare uova sode). Unica pecca per chi ha figli con passeggino, il fatto che si è a qualche centinaia di metri dal paese, che vanno percorsi lungo la statale. In alternativa però dall'albergo c'è l'autobus ogni venti minuti

Terrible rapport qualité prix

Nous avons réservé une suite avec balcon vue sur mer. Un endroit fois payée, on nous informe que la suite n’a pas les caractéristiques affichées en raison de l’an realisation de travaux et d’en la présence d’un échafaudage sur toute la baie vitrée du 1er étage où nous étions.
Ensuite la salle de bain n’était pas n'était pas du tout conforme aux photos elle était bien moins moderne donc moins adaptées au prix de la chambre d’autant plus que l’or lorsque nous avons voulu utiliser l’option d’en la baignoire elle n’a pas fonctionné.

L’albergo sta facendo dei lavori, dunque e un po difficile valutare il tutto…..la mia stanza era molto carina e fresca, non mancava niente, stessa cosa per il bagno. Personale gentile. Il parcheggio non e un granche, all’aperto con una sbarra che personalmente non ho mai vista chiusa.

Struttura in fase di ristrutturazione. Camera perfettamente pulita. Finestra camera fronte muro. Colazione correttamente da 3 stelle ma con formaggini scaduti nel Settembre 2020 e due bevande nel minibar altrettanto scadute. Chiaramente fatto notare alla Direzione. Un sorriso (non tanti, solo uno) da parte del proprietario sarebbe stato gradito.

Ho trascorso lo scorso week end presso questa struttura. Le uniche note negative sono state : i prezzi un po' troppo alti del ristorante dell'hotel (es. Una panna cotta 7 euro) e l'orario di check - in, previsto massimo per le ore 19:00. Ho telefonato la mattina per chiedere di arrivare in serata e il proprietario non è stato molto disponibile, dicendomi che la reception chiudeva alle 19:00. In realtà la reception è annessa al ristorante, dove la sera il proprietario è sempre presente, per cui.... Sul resto nulla da dire, camere pulitissime come non mai, mi è rimasto impresso il profumo delle lenzuola e del resto della biancheria. La colazione nella media, anche se internazionalita' ho visto poco e niente.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Hotel, diente uns als Zwischenstopp unserer Reise.
Hotel sehr gut erreichbar an der Hauptstrasse kurz nach Autobahnausfahrt. Zimmer mit Balkon und sehr schönem Blick aufs Meer, den man auch während des Frühstücks geniessen konnte. Frühstücksbuffet mit grosser Auswahl und ganz feinem Gebäck. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Können wir empfehlen.

Tendo chegado por volta da hora almoço, a acolhença nao foi das melhores sabendo que o check-in seria so a partir das 15h esperava que o segnor (ja de idade) nos aconselhasse a almoçar ou a tomar algo no seu estabelecimento. (Trabalhando eu propria em um hotel) vendo pessoas no restaurante perguntei se poderiamos almoçar. E foi assim que almoçamos. De resto estava tudo perfeito. Pequeno almoço, limpeza, pequena excepcao: o quarto tinha vista para uma parede de cimento.

Discreto ma con possibilità di essere ottimo.

La camera funzionale, pulita con affaccio interno su scale, costretto a tenere giù la tapparella, anche se avevo chiesto lato mare. L'esterno necessita di piccola manutenzione. La colazione insufficiente, potrebbe essere integrata da altri dolci, salumi e succhi vari. Il ristorante non ho avuto tempo per cenare, ma una birra piccola €4,50 ritengo esagerata. Al check out, ho atteso un po poiché il pagamento con Satispay non era conosciuto da alcuni proprietari, comunque cortesi e gentili. Il check in ritengo sia un po tardi 15:00 andrebbe anticipato.

Camera dotata di comfort inaspettati come la Jacuzzi, colazione ricca e parcheggio privato. Posizione un po’ fuori dal centro, ma comoda alla spiaggia se non si temono le scale

Hotel a conduzione familiare, con staff accogliente e professionale. Struttura non recentissima ma dotata di arredi e tecnologia moderna meglio utili a soddisfare le esigenze degli ospiti di oggi. Buona la ristorazione con annessa pizzeria, variegato e completo il buffet della colazione con il bar attento a servire ottimi cappuccini e caffè. Posizione panoramica, riservata e tranquilla. Praticissimo il parcheggio interno alla struttura, utile eventualmente la fermata del Bus cittadino antistante l' hotel e con destinazioni varie ( centro e dintorni ) . Nei weekend il ristorante diventa meta abitudinaria di ospiti locali perdendo un po' l' atmosfera di riservatezza . MA per finire : Servizi, Struttura e Qualità/prezzo sono ottimali perciò é ben consigliato per un target eterogeneo di ospiti con differenti esigenze.

All’arrivo capisco il vantaggio del check-in on-line: far risparmiare tempo all'albergatore.Per un deficit del programma gli “TOCCA” farsi ripresentare i documenti sbuffando.La posizione decentrata rispetto a Varazze impedisce la passeggiata. La vista mare (supplemento) è penalizzata dal traffico,dal capolinea bus e dalla vista di un brutto edificio in ristrutturazione.Dimensionamento della camera striminzito, il terrazzino piccolo e “quasi” in comune con le due stanze a fianco.La porta scorrevole di accesso piccola ed instabile.Il bagno senza finestra ha una alta e poco pratica vasca idromassaggio:molto difficoltoso l'accesso per alzata di gamba e scivolosità.Colazione carentissima, lontana anni luce da qualsiasi parvenza di \"internazionalità\".Affettati,uova,qualsiasi forma di salato completamente assenti,ad esclusione di un formaggino.Alla richiesta del pane (ASSENTE ANCH’ESSO!!!)l'anziana signora di servizio,distolta dal guardare la TV (?),dichiara “guardi che è del giorno prima, arriva solo per i pranzi”(?!).Consegnato riscaldato al microonde☹.Pulizia della stanza approssimativa (ritrovate sul pavimento briciole della sera prima).Al rientro serale: sorpresa! Lo spiritoso albergatore fa accedere i clienti del proprio ristorante (rumoroso)allo stesso parcheggio dell’albergo, piccolo e munito di una inutile sbarra, lasciata evidentemente sempre aperta,alla faccia della tessera per la camera: mi vedo costretto a parcheggiare la notte sulla fermata del capolinea del Bus!Triste
