Quiet Oasis Near Milano Centrale
While the neighborhood near Milano Central appeared busy and a little gritty, turning off the ViaVitruvio puts you on a quiet residential street in a hotel with welcoming gardens and outdoor space to enjoy. Rooms are very nice, beds comfortable, bathroom crisp and modern. Breakfasts are ample with high quality food and beverages in a garden like setting . Easy walking distance to the metro which takes you throughout the city and quite a few nice restaurants within 10-15 minutes walking distance (and many others even closer). Staff were helpful and accommodating.

This was in the first floor handicapped accessible room where the shower doesn't have separation from the other parts of the bathroom. In room climate control was inaccessible. Wifi did not work, service was indifferent, everything was a bit ‘mean’ only two small sachets for washing gel - that means only one shower each for a couple unless you have your won product. We like to bathe morning and night ... No black out curtains in our room as stated - a bit dark and dingy feeling. On a quiet off street from main, but not the greatest neighbourhood. No tea and coffee in lobby as stated either. Would not recommend. Expensive for the quality - next time I would pay more and stay somewhere a bit better. Breakfast very limited, and bad coffee.

The hotel is very nice. Simple but very comfortable. The room was very clean and the shower wonderful. It is very close to Milano Centrale. It takes 5 minutes by foot. It is also in a walking distance to the Duomo. Half an hour walking. The staff was very friendly and gave us all the support we needed. The breakfast is well served and the capuccino they serve amazing. When back to Milan I will sure stay there.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and we could get to Monza F1 race and downtown Milano with ease. The rooms are very nice and the complementary breakfast was very good. Milan was an overnight transit stop for approx 14 hours. We departed the hotel before breakfast, but were offered coffee, juice and takeaway croissants/pastries. The dining area and the rooms at the rear, which also had a balcony, overlooked a pleasant garden setting. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room at the front had a comfortable bed with a very nice modern bathroom. Excellent value for money without all the frills, located close to shops in an area which seemed to have a lot of cheaper hotels. Recommended if you are looking for a pleasant, clean, moderately priced hotel.

Wow this was a very good hotel in a good location. Metro and buses are a short distance away and. If you are keen on walking the city centre is about 30-40 minutes walk. I love walking so this was great for me. Also plenty of good restaurants nearby. The room is not the best - but it is enough for what one needs - a bed and ensuite bathroom. Also, the staff were very friendly which was also good. What surprised me was that breakfast had gluten free options which was great for me. Overall a pleasant experience.

A charming boutique hotel with lots of personality. Our room was clean & small, but seemed more expansive when the shutters were opened to reveal a lovely garden vista beyond. The hotel was situated perfectly for us as we were able to get around on foot to see some of the city's iconic sites. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood & very handy to the central train terminal. We went to the Charly Hotel because it is so Central. This was our second visit to this hotel and we were delighted to go back. We were only in Milan for two nights and we should have arrived in the afternoon, the flight was delayed by 4 hours and the hotel staff were very sympathetic when we phoned to explain that we would be late. The facilities were great and the breakfast was lovely. Another lovely stay at the Charly and we would definitely go back.

A wild screaming manager greeted us...
In my roughly 2,000 hotel nights in my life this was by far the rudest experience. We had a disagreement over amount prepaid and the manager screams at me and my family in ItaliaN and storms off repeatedly when I try to draw out on the back of his bill my position. He physically Jerks that away from me and storms off yelling in Italian knowing we don't speak that. He knew A bit of English but refused to use it. When I continue with desk clerk my position he charges back at me screaming again but retreated from the desk when I tried to talk and reason in English. This went on five minutes and had my children not been there I feel we might have come to blows. Really really intense! I am still upset about it.

Only a 5 minute walk from the main train station, about a 25 minute walk to the Duomo. The double room was decent sized, some of the rooms have a terrace. The bathroom was decent sized, good hot water and water pressure. The Wi-Fi was kind of slow, but okay once you got connected into it. The staff is friendly and helpful - when we checked into our room we discovered that the toilet was not flushing properly. The staff tried to fix it but could not so they immediately moved us to a new room. They also provide great american-style buffet breakfast. Would stay here again if I am ever in Milan again.

Moreover, every device needs a different name and code, and only 2 devices are allowed to get the access per room. I can't understand why they made such an inconvenient and silly policy for their guests....
In addition, the stuffs here are not friendly, when you asked for tea or water or anything else during the breakfast time, they might not give you an answer or smile face... Sometimes, they don't even look at you while you are talking to them, like, friendly to you or not are totally depending on their mood at that moment. Overall, I was pleased with the Charly Hotel. I knew when I booked that it was outside of the city center and that is what I wanted. It was a 3 minute walk to the closest metro station and only 4 stops away from the city center. The hotel was quaint and comfortable. They had a parking space for my car and were helpful with directions to the metro station. My only complaint would be that, if you have special dietary needs, the breakfast is quite limited. I don't eat dairy or gluten, which meant that my breakfast was a couple slices of cured meat. Otherwise, I was happy with my stay at the Charly Hotel.

A small gem near Central Station
This hotel is a jewel on a quiet street about 3 blocks from Central Station. It is modern but built into an old palazzo with ornate cielings. Very comfortable bed, adequate size room, very nice breakfast in a small room looking at a garden. Impeccably clean. Very good indeed for the price. I will return next time I am in Milan.

The Hotel is OK in general and in a quiet neighborhood and close to Train and Subway stations. The breakfast is good and compliementary. They breakfast area is inside a sun-room in the backyard so it is relaxing to have the breakfast there. However there are two issues that are not so pleasant.
The WiFi internet is free, however it only gives you 2 hours of free WiFi each time. You have to keep going to the front desk to get another wifi access code after the free wifi has exprired.
They don't replace towels everyday but they don't tell you. So you may think the towels are clean but they are not.

Very sweet little place with a wonderful secret garden. Located within walking distance of the Central Rail Road station it is located in a very busy, crowded neighborhood. But once you get beyond the gate it is very different and very pleasant.
