Everything about Best Western Hotel City was spotlessly clean - huge congratulations to the cleaning staff. The room had a small balcony, plenty of hanging space and shelves/drawers to unpack into, and free minibar. The hotel is in a beautiful neighbourhood with Lima metro station and tram/bus stops close by.

Hotel is a great location close to Lima metro station and somewhat close to Milano Centrale railway station. Room is spacious and room amenities are good and includes free coffee and tea, daily water bottled supply, and bar drinks and snacks for a couple days. Breakfast is very good and very reasonably priced.

I do recommend this Best Western In Milan. Very clean, staff were always willing to help and they speak English. Good location but not as close to the trains stations as we would have liked. Traffic is very heavy so depending on the time of day it can take you longer by taxi than to walk it.
It’s is located in the older part of Milan and we had a great city view.
Overall a very good experience.

Next Lima Metro Station

Centralize location is key selling point.
13min Walk to Central Train Station.
And just next to Lima Metro station. Bed is comfortable. Lots of shopping boutique along the Main Street & several supermarkets located nearby. The only setback is the main road facing hotel room, the external noise persist through midnight, and it could permeate through even though windows were shut. If one could tolerate the street noise, the balcony view did give a beautiful street view, otherwise the backyard facing rooms provide a quieter environment

The hotel room was nice and modern, I liked that the bathroom was so roomy! The hotel was very close to the metro, lots of food options nearby, as well as clothing stores! I originally booked a king bed with balcony, which was unavailable at the time of check-in. So they gave us 2 queen rooms with a balcony instead. Which I personally thought was a waste since it was just me and my hubby and we did not really use the other room except to get some towels and pillows from the other room. Also, the balcony view they gave us was not city view, it was “meh”. But they have a rooftop with a huge balcony, which we enjoyed. Heads up though, they switched the rooftop bar into a fitness facility but you can still buy your own drinks and hang out there to enjoy the view.

Not my favorite hotel

Overall this hotel was quite a let down. The posting claimed to have AC and when we called down, they said they only turn AC on in the summer. It was warm and muggy outside. Then they have curtains that dont fully shut even the ones on the street facing a blinking sign that goes all night long. The walls are paper thin, and we could hear every move and step our next door neighbors and above neighbors took. When we asked for another room, the man at the front desk insisted on coming into our room to decide if they were actually going to move us....then he decided not to move us . The hotel is quite far away from the main attractions of Milan.
Lastly, they advertise a gym, however all they have is an elliptical in a tiny room. That is hardly a gym in my mind.

Some positive things about this hotel are that it is close to the train station. The breakfast is nice in the morning.

The location was great, right there a subway. That being said, it was not an accessible subway station, but not a huge problem for me However, it was a huge problem. Is that the room that I was in first some kind of 24 hour signage that was extremely bright. The hotel room had gauzy curtains, nothing that was truly light blocking. No black out curtains here. It was really difficult to sleep with all of that light, but it would’ve been manageable, except at the light was constantly changing instead of study. Maybe some of the rooms near the back didn’t have that, or maybe the higher or lower floors didn’t have it either. For me, it was such a dealbreaker that I would never ever come back, even though the location is fantastic.

Great little place on one of Milan's best shopping strips. 20min walk to the Duomo area, 10min walk to Centrale, 1 min walk to nearest metro stop, Lima. Room was clean, bed was comfy with no noise from the street. A cute terrace on the top floor too. We didn't have breakfast there, prefering to sit at one of the many cafes on the street. Tea.& coffee facilities provided.

Great hotel close To Bus station. Walkable. Great AC balcony and free breakfast was great. Small fridge in room with complementary two waters.. and mini bar in room at a cost. The reception lady was very helpful showing me how to get to the train station to go to Venice took her time to print it out. I’d stay there again.

First of all, the amenities are very limited. In fact, the house keepers have never refilled any shower gels as well as shampoos for us daily. On the other hand, the lobby staff such as the one at the reception was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Given us very good recommendation for restaurants and willing to assist us.

What's good:
Location: Very central, convenient walk to Central station with metro / bus station nearby. Lots of food options around being in central shopping area.
People: Erika at front desk was exceptionally patient being the only person at check in and managed everyone attentively. Team at the breakfast room was also very good and so was the person at check out.
Amenities: Breakfast at EUR 4 is the most affordable across the world for the kind of spread on offer. The manager's reception in the evening is very welcome too if you like wine :)

What could be better: Bell boy help would be appreciated considering there are steps that lead to the only and very small elevator

Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is in a good location for shopping and is only 100 yards from the nearest metro station. Unfortunately the breakfast was very basic with very limited choice. The property only gas one very small and slow lift. The hotels health club couldn't be described as such. It is in a very small room on the hotels tiny roof terrace and only has 1 cross trainer and 1 treatment table. Not what i expect in a 4 ☆ hotel.

Overall great stay! Very friendly hotel staff and great breakfast with a perfect location. Short walk (3 min) to the Lima metro station. One change I would consider was the temperature in the room - got very hot and had to open the windows. Would not cool down despite turning down the thermostat. Would definitely stay here again

I had requested a bath, but when I got there the room had a shower. I went back to reception and they changed it straight away. The breakfast was very good at €4! The street had a lot of good shops, and the centre was only about a 30 minute walk.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Air conditioning was broken but a fan was provided on request. One day we accidentally left a fair amount of jewellery in the room and this was not touched. Cleaners did a very good job. We booked a room with a balcony but may as well not have bothered as this looked over the back of the building and there was nothing at all worth seeing from it. Free drink on the first night was a nice touch.

I like everything about my stay. Stuff is welcoming and smily. Welcome drink has very tasty appetisers, vine was delicious. In the lobby 24 ours available Nespresso machine. I loved lemon tea, my friend loved capuchino and cruassans. Breakfast for 3 EUR was fullfilling. Rooms cleaned each day , sheets even changed.There is a grocery store around the corner on a very elegant street.

Hotel was in a good location to transport links and near lots of shops and restaurants. So that was the only benefit of staying at this hotel. The staff were not very welcoming, breakfast was extremely boring and the breakfast staff were rude and did not acknowledge any one. The housekeeping was poor, normally hotels provide you with free mineral water, we got 1 bottle between 2 people on the first day and afterwards none, I had to write a note to say please leave some free water for us and only 1 bottle was left and that was it. Not a great experience and I wish I had stayed at another hotel instead.

Avoid at all costs.

Had booked a room with a balcony but when room was allocated it had no balcony. Spoke to reception who offered an alternative room which had not been renovated so stayed with original room. The hotel blamed Hotels.com for this issue.
Room 704 which we stayed in has the lift shaft built into the room. Every time the lift moves up or down your here the lift catch release or engage which is loud enough to wake you during the night even in the hotels so called sound proofed rooms!!!
The lift itself is ridiculous, only allows 3 people at a time and does not even go fully to the reception floor so you have to carry your bags down a flight of stairs.
The rooms are meant to be sound proofed although for 2 mornings of our stay you could here the alarm going off in the next room at 6.30am.
The shower flooded the bathroom every time you used it as the door did not close or seal properly.
Maid service was poor, floor never got swept and condiments and toilet roll were not replaced unless we rang reception.
Breakfast was good although some mornings the food was starting to be cleared away prior to breakfast time finishing.

Excellent location for a weekeend in Milano

We received the biggest room in the hotel. But it was so noisy-there was \"something\" noisy in the ventilation tube. Probably the reception knew about this problem, because we were moved to another room without any problem, even though the hotel was fully booked.The staff at the reception were very friendly and polite.
The breakfast on Saturday was very poor - even though the breakfast finishes at 10 AM, at 9:30 a lot of the food were missing and not refill any more. The staff had very strange attitude, like they hate that they are working there.

Good location for the city.

The hotel staff were excellent and the rooms were spotless and modern. The breakfast was lovely and great value. Our only problem was that we had warm weather and unfortunately the air conditioning was not yet available. Otherwise we would have given everything and 'excellent'. One other thing to consider, Expedia said all taxes were included in the price but we had to pay a further city tax which does affect the overall price. This is not the hotel's fault.

The room was very small, 2 x single beds were hard and the pillows were hard and flat. There was hardly any shower pressure. My daughter and I stayed in February when the Hotel has the reverse cycle air conditioner on heat. The room was extremely stuffy and we had to keep the door ajar and the windows open to get any fresh air. When the windows were open it was extremely noisy from the street. The lift could only fit two people with 2 x luggage without any room to move. It was in a reasonable area close to the tube station. The breakfast was reasonable and it was clean but extremely small.

Stayed here for 3 nights, hotel staff were lovely and helped with any queries we had and suggested different places to go. Location was fantastic, only took around 20 minuites to walk down to the Duomo and the nightlife only 10 mins away by taxi. Breakfast was €3 per person and was really nice, we ended up only having it twice out of the 3 days and the hotel didn't charge us. Would definitely recommend this hotel and having been to Milan before and stayed elsewhere (last hotel has much higher TripAdvisor rating, would tell people to stay here, will definitely be returning!

Central location with easy access to shopping

The hotel staff was very informative of areas to visit for sightseeing. I also arrived very early and they were able to accommodate me since the room was available. Breakfast was great and tasty. Eliana was awesome! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easily accessible to trains,buses and trams. I managed to utilize them all on my short trip. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I go back to Milan.

Hotel was great, room was spacious and clean. Check in was delayed by 1.5 hours and we noticed this was a daily issue. The staff were courteous and very helpful. It was in a good location, with easy access to Metro, and a short taxi ride (10 euro) to Milano Centrale, or 2 metro changes (not an issue unless you have large suitcases!) Would definitely recommend this hotel

I really enjoyed my stay here! Lovely staff, clean and spacious room, and fantastic location as both Milano Centrale and the Duomo were within walking distance. Also the hotel was right in front of a metro station. There were lots of shops on the same street too. The only downfall would be that there was no room service on a Sunday and there was a 5 euro (about $10AUD for me) room service fee.

Good hotel for the money but no BW points?

The hotel stay was good and we stayed for 3 nights. I booked this hotel partly because it is Best Western chain hotel and I am Best Western Rewards member. I gave the hotel my Best Western member card (the receptionist made the copy) but the hotel did not give us the points, it has been almost 3 weeks but I still did not seen the points added to my account. It is disappointing on that. So if you want to accumulate your points, please do not stay at that hotel.

Very convenient by subway to Milan Expo

The hotel is very convenient, clean, and affordable. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great, many options. The Lima subway station is on the corner, which is a very easy station to navigate (unlike the train/subway transfer stations that come before and after).

Easy trek to the Milan Expo on that subway line- take it to Rho. Remember to get the right ticket- Rho is out of the city line, so it is a 2.50 euro ticket rather than 1.50. They are checking tickets when you get off, and charging 36 euro on the spot if you have the wrong one. Make it easy for your return and buy a round trip (you’ll get two separate tickets).
The hotel is very convenient, clean, and affordable. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.

Nothing was an issue, all staff made us feel welcome and did whatever to make our stay comfortable. Definitely recommend as a place to stay while in Milan.
Location was perfect to explore. Milan- easy walking distance to all transport, shops & bars & restaurants .
Room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
Breakfast provide a good variety of selection but the highlight each morning was the amazing service and attention provided by staff in the breakfast area, thank you Oswaldo!

Excellent clean hotel for tourist.

Adrianna, front desk clerk was working very hard and efficiently. She was nice and helpful to everyone. She deserves recognition. The hotel clean and was located in a very convenient location for shopping, eating and metro. We will use it again.

Comfortable Short Stay

Hotel is located near the train station, staff was friendly and allowed us to leave our luggages there before check-in, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was okay.

Last Night in Milan

For our last night, with an early morning check out. Being put on 2nd floor, street side was disturbing and noisy. We were exhausted from previous travels and needed to get up early. Not the way we intended to end our stay. Everything else was nice, staff very helpful, friendly...but make sure of location of room, it was too late to change upon arrival.

Clean and with very friendly staff

Rooms were very small with the shower room especially being extremely small to the point that the toilet was almost to badly positioned to sit on. Staff were quick to try to put this right however and were very helpful throughout my stay. Hotel itself was clean.

Average hotel

There was not a non-smoking room available for us (even though we requested it in advance), so a receptionist suggested us to use a deodorant spray to mask the smell of tobacco!
The Shower cubicle was leaking.
Our room was not very spacious and had an old noisy air conditioner.
Breakfast was modest, coffee from the coffee machine was not nice.

Advantages: close to the tube station and central location.

This hotel is not worth the money spent.

Wonderful location and fascinating service

I stayed two nights in this hotel with my daughter. The hotel is located in the heart of the commercial area street. I was satisfied that I got the right room that I desired. It was in the front of the hotel, near the lift, high floor. It was clean.The breakfast was very rich The service of the reception specially of Eliena and Massimo, was fascinating.I am sure that I will visit again this hotel (My daughter is studying in Milano).Dr. Max Abisror
