Design week, so rates higher than normal, almost 500€ per night, and the AC barely worked. The room was hot. Maintenance was sent and stayed the room was fine, and cool enough. It was not!! Nothing worse than a man telling the paying female customer (hot blooded and needs a cool room to sleep) that everything is fine and she doesn’t need stronger AC. After stating my displeasure with the front desk, they admitted the AC didn’t work well and wouldn’t get much cooler than it already was. They sent a swamp cooler filled with ice, but it was broken, next they sent a special cooling fan which helped. It took 8 hours for the room to cool only 4 degrees. I barely slept 2-3 hours because it was just too hot.
I got a 2nd key for the key card to keep the AC on all day, and had to set my room to Do Not Disturb, so staff wouldn’t turn it off. For 500€ a night I expect working AC and a bare minimum of room amenities, of which there were none.

Staff was good. Hotel is nice and modern. Location is 10 min walk from Central Station with plenty of restaurants nearby. Walls are paper thin so you can hear 4 other rooms, wifi was poor in room. Bathroom was very small.

Generally good hotel no concerns. Bonus they put croissants/ cookies and tea/coffee in the foyer for free during the day! Room was small but that was expected and not a complaint! Only thing was the room was quite warm felt quite stuffy overnight but fine if a window was open. 10 minute walk to central station and 20 minute walk to town so well located

I would give this place a higher rating if it wasn’t for the awful wifi in the rooms; the staff suggested to do any internet searches, etc. It’s better to use Wifi in the lobby. Found that totally unacceptable. Not in an age of smartphones and devices to research where to eat, shops, etc. Great location but their internet really stinks!

Walkable distant to the train station

It's a 10-12 min walk from the training station. It may be a little far to walk with your luggage but since it's so close, taxi from the train station to the hotel was only 6 euro so it's not too bad. We walked pretty much everywhere but one of the night, we tried the trolley back to the hotel & it was very nice, there's a stop right around the corner.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel room is perfect for the basic necessities (shower drain is kinda slow). The hotel is placed between many restaurants and the Metro stations M1, and M3. If at all possible do not order any food that must be cooked (ie chicken cutlet, hamburger etc) since it's all frozen. The drinks were good though.

Good location for exploring Milan, within walking distance of centre. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and had everything we needed. Bedrooms are a little dated, fairly small, and could do with a bit of a refurb. We didn’t use the restaurant or other facilities, so can’t comment on these. Overall, a good base for our two day stay.

An excellent hotel with fantastic customer service. It’s around a 15 min walk from the main station and perhaps 30 mins from the Duomo....but the metro is easy to use too. Breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. What more could you need?

This hotel is located near Milan Centrale and also near many restaurants. The hotel is very clean and maintained very nicely. The rooms are spacious and have nice amenities. There are free bikes which is a very nice touch. It is a good way to get around Milan but be warned if you are not experienced riding in a city, I would not recommend it. The staff was very accommodating and helpful to our needs. We would stay here again next time in Milan.

The staff was quite gracious. I arrived before check-in and was given a room immediately. The hotel was conveniently located near the Central Station. The staff provided excellent directions to nearby attractions and historical information. I stayed there on my arrival in and departure from Milan. On my second trip, the room I stayed in had a mildew odor. Other than that I have no complaints.

Well maintained, clean hotel that is a great balance between location and affordability. Off the main street (less traffic noise), but only 10-15 minutes from the train station and 25 minute walk to the Duomo. The staff were wonderful, helpful and pleasant. Even voluntarily upgraded our room. While there wasn't a true \"restaurant\", breakfast was available for a minimal cost. There was enough variety that it didn't become stale. There were two drawbacks. The basic room had barely enough room to move around the double bed. (thank goodness for the upgrade!) The bathrooms in both rooms were very tiny, with barely enough room to turn around. Also, the doors don't close quietly and conversations in the hallway can be heard inside the rooms. Overall, though, I was very pleased with the hotel.

Great overall hotel

The hotel location is within easy walking distance to the central train station, two subway lines, and a main shopping district. The staff was very helpful in answering all of your questions about Milan, traveling in Italy, and Italian culture. Only point of criticism was that there was little fresh fruit (lots of canned) and vegetables at the breakfast, though there was a good variety of other foods.

I stayed here alone for one night. It was an easy walk from the station and although I arrived at noon I was able to check in, which was nice. I found the staff very professional and polite. I hadn't realized that there was a fitness room so I didn't bring my fitness clothes, but it looked nice so I'll remember that if I go there again! The hotel also lends bicycles to guests.

Stayed there for 4 nights. The staff is helpful. Single standard room was a bit small yet super clean and well equipped. The area around the hotel is full of nice resturants and bars. Also it's really close to shopping area \"Corso Buenes Aires\" and \"Porta Venezia\" under ground station is near as well. You will arrive to Duomo within 20 min. on foot. To wrap up very convinient and great value for money.

Hotel Casati is Unethical

I made a reservation for this hotel the same night I was intending to stay there and there was a great deal of vacancy. Unfortunately the plane I was on from Zurich had to turn around because there was a horrible storm and we almost crashed. Upon landing back in Zurich, I called the hotel, explained the situation and was told my account would not be charged. My account was charged anyway. I contacted them again requesting a manager call me back on 3 separate occasions. They never called me back. I eventually did a chargeback and they did respond to that trying to still charge me. My bank will support me however in this. In contract law- Force Majeure or what is know as Acts of God- nullify contractual obligations. I will absolutely never stay here in the future and highly recommend that no one else does because they are completely unethical and will clearly charge even when legally they are not supposed to. Clearly they do not care about the welfare of their customers whatsoever.

Leaking air conditioning and no one to sort it out

The air conditioning unit was leaking throughout our 3 day stay. We informed reception on a couple of occasions, and they just brought towels and made no attempt to fix it or move rooms. At one point it was pouring water out! As it was above the door, it was hit and miss as to whether we would get wet when leaving. At the end of our stay, they apologised but there was no offer of any recompense for the fact that we hadn't really slept for a couple of nights as this was constantly dripping in the night! Otherwise, the hotel was ok and lived up to expectations!
