Amanda at the front desk was very helpful and sweet. She made our stay more comfortable. We were only here for 3 days and only took taxi from the lobby to save time but metro and tram is near by and makes it very convenient if you have enough time to explore. Next time we are in Milan, we will definitely choose NH Milano to stay.

Really comfortable rooms, staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location for access to central Milan by walking or metro. Buffet breakfast was good too!

Only minor complaint is that our room was missing toiletries (no shower gel, no spare toilet roll) so we had to keep asking the reception for them. They did sort it out very quickly though.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. But oir room was hot (25 C) and we could not get the heat to dissipate. Only one awkward window to open and much noise out on the street. An unpleasant night. A staff member did come quickly to help us turn a fan on, which helped block out the exterior noise, but the room never really cooled.

Worst stay in Milan so far

Compared to my first stay at this hotel four years ago, this experience was by far the worst during my trip to Italy and in contrast to other NH hotels I’ve stayed in. The AC was not working, so I approached the reception to report it. I spoke to a new team member named Nicola (if I remember correctly). While we were discussing the issue, another staff member, who was assisting another guest, interrupted our conversation in a very rude manner. When I began explaining my situation, she dismissed me by looking at her screen, which felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional for hotel staff. Later, the manager informed me that she worked in the back office and wasn’t trained to handle guests. I think this will be the last time i stay in this hotel when visiting Milan

They redeemed themselves - check in was so transactional, no one helped me with luggage at all but during my 2 day trip, I found that the dinner at the hotel restaurant was hearty and filling, and they allowed for late check out so all good in the end

Staff are kind, but unaware of how to take care of guests or handle their own basic responsibilities. When we checked in, they gave us the wrong room. We went all the way to the room and took our four pieces of heavy luggage up there with us only to find out we had to move everything to a different room. They did not help us. They gave us a different room with the correct bed but with the wrong bathroom. We checked into there anyways because we were so exhausted after two weeks of traveling. we stayed one night and went out for lunch. When we came back after lunch, our key did not work for our room. We had to go back down to reception and get a key that worked. They had no excuse for why the key didn’t work and said their system was down. They had no further information. When I booked this room, I said it was for two people. When I arrived, there was only one robe in the room and one set of slippers. They knew we were two people. I went down and asked for another robe and they said they did not have one. Finally, the room that I had booked had two sinks in the bathroom. The one I ended up getting only had one. By that point, we were so exhausted that we just completed our stay and decided we’d handle it through Expedia. I did let the staff know my concerns and gave them an opportunity to fix it and they didn’t do it. They just said I’m sorry. The amenities are the bare minimum but it is clean. It’s a bit loud, I think it’s next to a train. Very central location.

Understaffed to manage guests and phones. There was only one front desk person. We were asked to wait in the lobby , but she forgot about us. I had to call the front desk to get her attention. No apology or offer of any amenities to mitigate the poor service.

- Air conditioning was not working. Room temperature was above 26°C. So, we had to open the window. It was very loud.
- The water didn't flow enough in the shower / bath. It was stacking.
- We asked for room service we wanted to have a drink. It was around 9 pm. It was not possible.
- We took a prosecco out of the fridge, it was not drinkable at all. It was either extremely old or very poorly maintened

Check-in was quick and smooth, location isn't the best. It's located out of area c which makes a good spot if you have a car with you, parking is also located at the hotel but with very limited spaces. There is an underground parking for about 20 Euros per night.

I can consider my stay here as 4stars.
This is my first time staying at NH group hotels and it was great.
The staff were friendly specially Rocco, the guy who checked me in. I got an early check-in and everything was good.
The location is really good if you like to walk as it will take you almost 25 min to reach the centre of milan.
You have a supermarket next to you (5 min) walking.
Starbucks is 10 min walking.
There is a park next to you.

I would recommend the hotel if you are stay for short trip in Milan.

The room and facilities were more than adequate for a family of 3. The super king size bed was an added bonus. The customer service provided by the reception staff was exceptional. The location of the hotel was approximately a 20 minute walk from the Duomo, however we were only a 1 minute walk from the trams and 5 minute walk to Central Station. A superb location which enable us to window shop along the way. Will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

The hotel was in a location convenient to the train station and sites that we wanted to see were within walking distance, including a lovely big park. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The only issue that we had was the temperature in the room. It was very warm; the front desk was unable to help, as the airconditioning had been shut down for the season. We were unable to open the windows.

This hotel is in a fantastic spot. Sitting between 2 metro lines and approx 15mins walk from Duomo, it is easy to get in to the centre of the city. Very good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff were very attentive - it’s worth having a pre dinner drink in the bar for the snacks. Breakfast is excellent with a good range to choose from. Only issue we had was that the air con seemed to struggle a little, but wasn’t the end of the world. Would definitely stay here again

Perfect location, nice clean room

The location was absolutely perfect - about a 6-7 euro taxi ride from the train station or a 10 min walk. Perfect to walk to the high-end designer shops and nice museums, close to great bars/cafes and restaurants and near the park, which is a lovely place to go take a walk.
I’m not sure if the hotel has done something in regards to soundproofing the rooms or if I got lucky, but I read a lot of reviews that complained about street noise. I honestly have NO idea what they’ve talking about. I never heard a single noise in my room (2nd, technically 3rd floor facing the street and right by the trolley). In fact, I slept like a baby every night thanks to the silence and great lightcancelling blinds. The mini fridge was always stocked with everything one might want (and yes it’s a little pricey but anyone who has ever stayed in a hotel should know that, plus the prices are clearly listed on the menu).
The only thing I didn’t love is they tried to charge me extra for the “free” breakfast buffet, a lot extra ($20-ish a day!). You can definitely find cheaper breakfast somewhere, so consider opting out and saving yourself the money.
Overall I would stay here again.

In the centre of things

The NH Milano Machiavelli is very conveniently located within a couple of minutes walk from Republica, less than 10 minutes walk from Milano Centrale station and a 20 minute walk to the Duomo. The staff were helpful (suggesting a very good restaurant nearby and volunteering to tell us about the area) and happy to greet us with a buongiorno; the NH breakfast is always good; the room was a good size and comfortable.
Best of all, there's a book and record shop just round the corner with a very good selection of progressivo italiano!

Clean hotel very close to Cordia Buenos Aires, with a 15 min walk from the Central train station.
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
The breakfast offers a lot of variety with eggs and bacon as well a full continental fare.
There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is in a good location and is completely adequate. The hotel is a bit dated but is a very safe choice. Most of the basics are covered. The breakfast is above average. The staff is pleasant. One warning: the air conditioning does not work from midnight to 8am. This was quite shocking and uncomfortable to one member of my group (who prefers a cold room).

Very pleasant stay

Reception team were very nice and helpful and resolved any problems we had very quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was included and it had great quality and a nice selection.
Hotel is located only about a 5 minute walk from the metro and shopping district. It's also about 10-15 minutes walk from Milan Central station so it was very convenient to go to the surrounding cities of Milan such as Lake Como, Verona etc
The rooms that we had were very quiet (we couldn't hear anything at night) so we had really good night's sleep.
Wifi was reasonable, not too fast but was ok - could do with an upgrade!
All in all was a great place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back there again!

Hotel is about 15 minute walk to the Milano Centrale train station, metro lines Porta Venezia and Repubblica are about 4 blocks away from the hotel. The area around the hotel is ok, not great, little iffy at night.
The hotel itself is clean and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free water in the lobby. Breakfast is very nice with plenty of good quality options.

Amazing Staff, Amazing Breakfast, TIRED HOTEL

Our original booking included a free night at this hotel. We added an extra night and spend 2 days in Milan & were prepared to spend a reasonable amount for a 2nd night's stay.

Upon arrival the lobby was immaculate and very well maintained. Check In with Rocco was handled very professionally and quickly. Rocco arranged a private cab to the airport

Upon seeing the room we were given it was immediately apparent we were provided the most basic and most heavily used room in the hotel. I considered the fact that our 2nd night had been included in our original travel package and assumed this was why we were given this room.

After staying at a number of hotels across Italy from 5 star to 3 star we were shocked by the condition of the room. The door & walls were stained, furniture was worn, tired and very obviously in need of updating. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom. After spending an exciting & exhausting day in Milan we returned to the hotel and discovered the sheets on the bed were stained and full of crumbs.

After a 17 hour wait for a return call from Expedia, they contacted the hotel staff and we were subsequently upgraded to a Junior Suite. Important to note: We were offered a Junior suite at check in for an additional cost.

Rocco and Antonio were gracious and very willing to rectify things for us. The new suite, was an improvement but was still very tired. This is clearly a high traffic business use hotel showing wear and tear, needing refreshing

A nice hotel, all staff were very friendly.

We stayed four nights, the reception staff were very helpful in giving us directions/ transport ideas. The housekeeping staff were on the ball, changed the shower head that wasn't working properly when we arrived, without me even having to ask. The only minus for me was that it was a little further away from the Duomo, then I expected. Solved the problem by buying a travel ticket. Tram stop just a few steps away from hotel. There was only one lift working the entire time we were there, as the other one was out of order, this I think should have been a priority for management. Overall I would recommend it

We were in Milano for only one day on our way back from Rome to get back to the US. The hotel had a clean, modern with a lot of wood look. Great staff. Very helpful. We enjoyed the city since the location was pretty central. 25 minutes walk to the Cathedral. The metro station was 5 minutes away. The Tram was around corner. I definitely recommend it

This is very much a business hotel that has lots of conference rooms, but we were there at a weekend and that meant the hotel was pretty quiet and there was no trouble at breakfast making the most of the plentiful spread of cakes & pastries, cold meats and cheeses, a small hot bacon and eggs selection, fruits, cereals etc. What's more the breakfast is served to a late time of 11am on Saturdays and 12pm on Sundays. On Sundays checkout is also at 3pm which meant no early morning rushing around to grab food and leave the room.

The rooms are average size with a small minibar and tv, and very clean so all the basics are right.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in storing our bags for a few hours and ordering a taxi to the airport.

The hotel is also very close to a couple of trams, No 1 to the centre (though you could walk) and No 9 to Navigli where we took aperitivo on the Saturday.

Overall this hotel was real value for money in a good location and with the late checkout perk we'd definitely stay again!

Nice hotel but air conditioning did not work

This was our first time to Milan and we were happy with the room and the hotel. The room air conditioning was not working and it made the room a bit uncomfortable, but overall we enjoyed our experience. The breakfast was a highlight.

Good location

We spent two nights in Milan recently. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the Doumo and the shops a nice walk through a park. We had to leave early to catch a train from Central station which was 15 minutes walk so good location all round and reasonably priced hotel.

Nice hotel but extremely bad Internet service

Good hotel, rooms are nice. Staff is also helpful but
The worst is Internet service. Either you pay to have a good service or you use the free Internet and what you get is a shame for an hotel like NH.
It is better to advise customer that they have to pay for Internet.
