Did not have the necessary toiletries. When we asked the staff if we can leave our bags until we come back to the hotel they left unattended bags next to the lift where anyone can literally have access which is unacceptable. They also charged me for something that we did not have, and lying that they cannot find my booking to get the refund back.

I stayed at Mokinba Milan twice and both times the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. Despite reporting it, the staff offered no real solution and just asked me to “wait until the next day.” The room was unbearably hot, and no alternative was provided. Extremely poor customer service and lack of care. I will not return.

Hotel is very clean, it's updated and service is good. It's close to the tram and metro for seeing the city. Our room the air conditioning did not work properly and the floor was also heated. It was 90 degrees outside so it was uncomfortable for sleeping. The hair dryer overheated within 1 minute so bring your own. Buffet was pretty good. 15 euro/ person. Overall we'd stay again but would've complained about the AC sooner and got a new room.

Stayed here with two friends and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and kind. There was cucumber, lemon, ginger water available when you walked in. Perfect accommodation for a quick stay in Milan.

This was the worst 4 star hotel we ever stayed at. It is 1 to 1 1/2 star at best. EXTREMELY tiny room. Very very very small shower. No adequate bathroom supplies.. towels mats soaps etc ( plenty of toilet paper!) A/C does NOT WORK. EXTREMELY NOISY FROM STREETS ( we were on 4th floor). Elevator works sporadically … used by contractors and staff. Inefficient. Run down. Bar advertised as open. Was not. Would NOT recommend this property at all. Shout out to the front desk evening manager Mr Florian. Very helpful and humorous.

The staff was great especially Florian, I was disappointed the Hotel Bar was closed even though the advertise it. The rooms are small and the bathrooms were extremely tiny. Although we did ask for a room change because my handicapped mom couldn't manage in the first rooms bathroom. They gladly moved our room and the bathroom was definitely bigger. The breakfast was a little underwhelming at the motel(every time I've visited Europe before it's usually really good)
However over all solid, close to everything, restaurants close by and the staff as I said was great.

Avoid this hotel

I ordered three single rooms for three people and paid in advance. When my employees arrived was evening already, they asked if it was possibility to get a double room instead of all three rooms since one person would not be arriving. The receptionist said yes but charged them an extra 50 EUR( for upgrade, even we had 2 extra rooms, they have not got a keys) before giving them the key. The room, which cost 270 EUR for one night, looked like the picture below...\"

A few major problems, bed bug ridden room, becareful. Also, the wifi wasnt working and since i had to get some work done had to change hotels; they refused to refund me. It is very noisy both from construction and thin walls. The staff was very uncooperative. It appears the location is fair didnt stay long enough to find out.

Good experience overall, well located, clean, fine in general. I could come back.
I see the hotel more like a 3* than a 4*, and the customer experience could improve. I asked to stay a bit longer at the room and they asked me to pay an extra fee that was nearly the same to one extra night. These things make the difference and having no cost is a shame…

This property is okay for a short stay. The rooms are fairly standard for Italy. The room was clean and the shower worked well. The air conditioner worked however it rattled loudly when on. The staff were extremely friendly and check in and check out were easy.

The property has declined since we stayed here 2-years ago. We had hair on our bathroom floor and it's time for them to wash the bed coverings. We had written confirmation breakfast was included through our Expedia reservation, but the hotel staff requested us to pay stating it was a \"typo.\" The location of this hotel is convenient, but there are plenty of others with better customer service and clean floors. We'll pick a different one next time.

Absolutely awful.
This i can only compare to a youth hostel, not a hotel.
This is a 2 star. There is no explanation of how or why it is listed as a 4 star.
Booked a single room as it looked clean, local, away from the noise of town centre, 4 star, average price however this is the reality.

The hotel is filthy
The rooms absolutely stink of dirt and smoke.
The noise is utterly awful as there are two late night clubs across the road which have outdoor gardens with no sound proofing.
As the club noise stops, the street machines start from 5am to 6.30am, this sounds like pneumatic drills.
The rooms have no double glazing, you hear everything.
The rooms have filthy net blinds.
Veryvstrange grills (vents) over the bed and in the bathroom. The smell and dirt from them is not good at all.
The beds are rock hard.
The lift makes a lot of noise.
The walls are paper thin
No kettle
The staff are unkind
I became sick due to the condition of rhe room and asked to leave the hotel, the property was awful and the musty damp room stank of smoke. The hotel did not offer to refund the nights i would not be staying so i asked them to, they refused the refund, they chabged my room to one just as horrid and told me i was 'too sensitive'.
This is a youth hostel at best, certainly not a place to stay if you require basics like a shower a hairdryer a cup of tea in your room.
It should be listed as a 2 star hostel. The photos show the reality, they cant unfortunately show the smell.

I stayed there for 4 nights in Milan and it was the worst four nights of my life. The host was EXTREMELY UNWELCOMING and yelled at me if I asked any questions. The worst part was that I found BED BUGS on the best and then they gave me another room and that’s where I found bed bug poop and get bitten even more. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! now all of my belongings and my house are exposed to bed bugs and I’m in great distress during the holidays. Please stay away!!!!!!

Originally I was put in room the size of a closet, literally, I could not fit my very modest suit case there. No wardrobe, no desk, nothing ... I asked for a different room, but was told that I can upgrade for additional price. After I complained to Expedia, next day my room was upgraded for free. Although a better room, it still fell short of 4 star hotel. No room service, very basic conditions. What was particularly upsetting is that WiFi connection WAS NOT SECURE. I was intended to work from there and was not able to.

Good hotel. World's smallest shower

Good location, friendly staff, nice and clean, decent price. Be forewarned, I'm used to small rooms in Europe, and while it was a little on the small side, the shower is impossibly small. Smallest I have ever seen. If you are larger, I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere

The disposable plastic cups for water and the daily towel changes was not eco-friendly. There was no counter space in the bathroom and I got my leg on the tub faucet repeatedly- the layout was so awkward. There were no blackout curtains and just a single sheet to cover up with to sleep. The staff was great - but the hotel seemed old and outdated. The price didn’t match the expectations.

This is a tough one.

The good:
Staff were really lovely, hotel was in a great location, really close to public transport
Room was nice enough for the price

The bad:
The room smelt so bad of cigarette smoke, it seemed to get worse during our stay as though it was coming through the vents or air conditioner from another room. As a non smoker this was rough.

I have booked this hotels twice both times I booked for 2 adults but when I arrive for my stay they inform me that I booked for 1 adult and then charged me $25 more. That did not include breakfast. I will never stay their again. There are other hotels nicer and cheaper. You are screwed when you book your hotel and pay in advance and get there and are told to have to pay $25 more. Shame on them

Amazing hotel staff and perfect location

Amazing hotel staff, whenever I needed any type of help they were more than happy to help. Any request I had was always fulfilled. Location is perfect and airport transfer was good. The young woman working behind reception was the nicest person I’ve ever met and went above and beyond to help me with my short stay when I got lost in Milan.

Mokinba 4 stars with a 3 star feeling...

Mokinba Baviera is a 4 star hotel with a 3 star feeling. Dont get me wrong; confy bed, clean, nice wood doors and room minibar. Shower was a little small and medium hot water. Great location...2 min walk to Metro and 5 mi. walk to grocery market. Small elevator and breakfast buffet is all cold except a micro scramble eggs. Very nice at front desk and they have a Tesla with driver for you. Also taxis are in the corner. Price was nice for a 4 nighter.

The hotel has very thin walls and it is very noisy. People seem to come and go at all hours and you can hear them talking in the next room and down the hall. For some reason you have to turn your room key in every day when you leave and then collect it again when you return at night

The Staff would need customer service training.The evening staff always chatting on the phone whilst attending to guests. ( I believe it’s an unacceptable practice)
I had to go to another hotel to have my shirt ironed for a special evening dinner which I think is unacceptable as well. The policy needs to be reviewed because I don’t think I would go back to a hotel that can’t accommodate my ironing needs.

Over rated hotel and very poor customer service.

No AC for the 2 nights we were there from June 1-3, 2019. The staff are very rude and even said its not their fault that there no ac, no apology, nothing, they said all rooms doesn’t have air. Shower stalls are so small and the pillows are so hard. Breakfast is good but you have to pay 9 euros per person. Also, they are asking everyone to leave the keys when you get out of the hotel, I am not sure why they do that.

The accommodations were great. Found it quite strange the receptionist at the front desk would not allow you to have any quest in the room.

I had a business client come to hotel to discuss last minute matters on a project and client was not allowed to go upstairs to my room. At no time was I made aware of those guideline during my booking.

Low cost option in an expensive neighborhood.

The location is great. The room is tiny but also cheap. Everything was very clean. I thought it was strange we were required to leave our room key at the front desk but it wasn’t a big deal.

We asked for a restaurant recommendation... You might be better off using Yelp. You’ll have to do that anyway to figure out when things will be open.

Friendly staff. I was annoyed to have to pay city tax at the end but that is the city not the hotel.

I think you save money booking direct with them.

Nice hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Underground train station is a short walk away and is 2 stops to the city centre and Duomo. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel located at a quiet neighborhood.

This place is 5 - 7 mins walk from the train station. There is nothing much nearby except to walk 10 mins out. Breakfast is arranged separately at another room, which is not by the hotel.

A pretty much standard 4* hotel in Europe.

After 5minutes from checkin I was relaxing on my bed and someone open my door with a key card. Being the room pretty small I closed using my foot so didn't see who was.
City tax to be paid cash only (ridicoulous)
Shower super small
Good position close to the underground and central station with links to airports.
For 1 night is ok and it had availability 1 week before fashion week at a reasonable price compared to others of the same category.

Check in was amazing. The whole stay was very friendly until check out. We checked out at 5am. My mother (68yrs old) and I had 5 luggages. I decided that i would load the luggages in the car first. Instead the front desk guy wanted to watch us load up the car and not even ask if he could help us. Not only did he not ask but insisted we check out first and pay for our bill. Which only thing we needed to pay for now is only parking. He saw how 2 small women were struggling loading the car up and he kept waiving the parking garage key at us. I told him I will pay him as soon as I finish loading. Rude and should not work in hospitality department.

This is a convenient location considering its distances from the Central Station, Brera, Porto Nuovo, and the Duomo. The staff is great and breakfast looks good though I only had the fresh Orange Juice during my visit since I woke up too late to make it for the full breakfast.

Rooms were cleaned daily as you were required to give up your hotel keycard upon leaving for the day.

My shower stall was quite small considering I am 6'1\". Shampoo/Soap is provided.

The elevator was peculiar ...

It was pretty good! One front desk staff was pretty rude to my girlfriend, but the other two made up for it in being extremely helpful and kind. Milan is just a bit strange like that - lots of rudeness in general. But amongst our hotel experiences in Milan, this was definitely a better one. Watch out for breakfast though - they charge a lot for it. Not included like in most hotels.

Not just any hotel.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They went above and beyond in helping me as I was going through significant hardship, needless to say it was an extremely unlucky trip for me. Any request I made was accommodated and provided with a great level of commitment and genuine desire for my well being. You would be hardpressed to find such service anywhere in the world. I highly recommend this hotel, and should I return to Milan I will only be staying there. Thanks again to the staff, you were truly life savers for me. Not to mention the rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and quiet and I truly enjoyed my stay.
