Greta 4 nights to begin our tour of Italy. Service here is wonderful and extremely friendly. The rooms are huge by European standard with over sized king beds. The location is good for short cab rides to the train station or city center. Not much around as far as walking but there is an STK steakhouse across the street we enjoyed and the restaurant/ bar in the hotel is beautiful and has good food, which is nice after a long day out sight seeing.

There is bad maintenance in the hotel. Walls with mildew. scrached and dirty walls dirty cloth in chairs. In the room.

Was given a room with view to a dirty inside wall.

Not to mention no hot water in the shower, had to call front desk

For a hotel with the word “Palace” in its name it leaves out a lot to deliver

The service was excellent. We arrived in the morning and wanted to just drop off our suitcases. Within 1 hour, our room was ready and it was perfect because we were all jet lagged and needed a nap. Room service was done every time we came back and we came back each day ant different times. The attentiveness was impressing. Every drink in the room was complimentary and room service offered to refill them each night. We loved and enjoyed the amenities inside the hotel especially the gym. We felt welcomed by the entire staff every day and night. Great coffee and cappuccino.

This would’ve been my 5 star review but here are my turn offs:

*the room was uncontrollably dusty. We had to wipe screens on our iPads and iPhones every morning because it was covered in dust from being on the desks and table. I had to buy allergy medicine because I’m allergic to dust.

*the room temperature was uncomfortably warm at times. We went to Milan during the heat wave and the room climate control does not go lower than 16C.

*during the 3rd day of our stay, we came back to the hotel and our water was brown in the sink and shower. We had to run the water for awhile and the color changed back.

The next time I’m in Milan, I will research on if my turn offs are common in hotels in Milan. If so, I will give this hotel another chance in the future.

I am a Marriot Bonvoy platinum elite. The AC on our room didn't work from the start. We talked to the concierge 3 different times about the AC. We stayed for 5 days. On the last day we were really upset because of the situation. The manager gave us like $120 Euro credit which for a 5 start hotel is nothing. Beautiful hotel, Beautiful city however that ruined it for us since it was really hot during that time.

Its a nice property and the staff is very friendly. However, my room was not ready when i arrived, understandable as we arrived about 3 hours before check in. The staff kept telling me the room hasn't been made up yet. I came back at 2, check in time, room still wasn't ready. Was finally able to get my room at 3:30. Turns out the room was ready, but they were doing construction on the rooms above and next to me, they just wanted to avoid me hearing them. Except 8 am the next morning they started again. It was a nice room with a nice view but the construction ruined our opportunity to rest and relax in the room.

Hotel might be nice but customer service is rubbis

Booked a room for a colleague using my card. I needed to make a change to the reservation but by the time I got through to Hotels.com customer services, I missed the deadline. First, they tried to charge me £££ to change a 2 night reservation into one.

I had to speak to the hotel directly. Not only the hotel was not understanding, the lady hung up on me, then denied doing so. Even though I paid, due to gdpr they refused to make a note on the reservation, that the guest was arriving at 11pm, and refused to wait for my email confirmation and respond to that. Took 3 calls and 2 emails to make the change and the people I dealt with, provided substandard customer service. Definitely not what I experience with other 5* hotels in Milan and around the world.

My colleague travels a lot to Milan, but I will never book into the Westin again.

Shocking sudden cancellation!

I booked 4 rooms for a a work trip
With important clients and working crew. We only knew during check in time that one of the rooms was cancelled! I was shocked and embarrassed in front of this client… we waited for a long time at the front desk, finally the staff got my guest a room with a different rate. I asked for the reason of the sudden cancellation but she failed to tell me and asked me to check with your site, she didn’t even know it was booked via hotels.com, her record was Expedia!!!

A well located, clean and beautiful hotel. I would have given five stars, but I have two complaints. They turn off the air conditioning seasonally, which means you can't really control the temperature in the rooms. I guess if your preference is to sleep in a sauna it's fine. And, not as quiet as you'd think. Some of the rooms are set-up away from the common area hallways. I was thrilled to find our room set-back from the hall and even with a second door closing off the sleeping area. But, our quiet retreat was disturbed every night when our upstairs neighbor came in. Definitely not soundproofed rooms.

Hotel lobby looks nice but my room 722 was not in great condition, looked tried and need of refresh.
Cabinet with mini bar was too close to bed so only opened partially and the door handle was broken and falling off.
Bathroom was too small for the facilities in there. I am small but a larger person would not of fit in the shower cubicle, and water was all over the floor.
Cost for this hotel was quite high so I would have expected better. Don’t mind paying but expect to receive higher quality.

Room was very very small and next to the elevator. The bathroom was in terrible shapes the door frame was rotted and the door handle fell off twice. I had to complain to have it repaired. They didn’t clean the room unless I asked. The breakfast buffet was also very limited for 37 euro per person. I am a huge Westin fan, this properly was not up to their normal standard.

Staff and service are great. Front desk staff, Johan, was very friendly. Requested for additional nespresso pods and they send a handful immediately.
Room is spacious, clean, nicely furnished.
However, it takes the shower 10-15 minutes running before the hot water came out. It was such a waste of water.
The door didn't have a chain lock. Sometime around 8 pm, there was a knock at our door. We didn't open it as we were already asleep due to jet lag. A staff then came in supposedly to replenish the mini bar. He immediately left saying he will put the DND door sign to keep our privacy. A door chain though would have avoided the situation.

The hotel AC was not working in our rooms on the first floor and we had to sleep in thr heat for 3 nights. They eventually brought me a fan to sleep with and they could not move me because they were totally booked.

Also, I had three rooms and house keeping neglected to clean our rooms and we had to go and get towels to shower with.

The hotel was outdated with spider webs everywhere and the staff was not very helpful with anything...

Really bad experience for the amount of money we paid to stay there!

The only thing I did not like was that I booked a King size bed, but got to beds pushed together to create a King Size. 😟 the mattress of one would ALWAYS slip. So the bed situation was very POOR.

We stayed at the Westin Palace for 5 nights and we were horrified by the low level of hygiene and cleaninless they have. When we arrived at our room, we found an open intimate gel that they put as complimentary toiletry and I tossed it in the trash can, just to find out that the cleaning service took it out of the trash can and put it as she had replace it with a new one. On the third night we ran out of shower gel and we kindly ask the reception to please send it to our room… We had to wait two days to receive shower gel even though we asked various times. Lastly, one night we ordered some food and drinks to our room, the other morning the cleaning staff left the bottles at the hallway ( i assume for someone at the hotel to pick it up and clean the space), the hallway had the bottles and plates from our room as well other rooms for two nights, and no one cleaned it. This is not a 5 star hotel and definitely should’t be advertised as one. Very dissappinted.

Staff is arrogant. I arrived at midnight after 4h drive to Milan. My booking was for the following week, they made me pay for another room and did not refund me. Ended up paying 900 GBP for 6h of sleep. The room are old, the breakfast is overpriced, and the parking is too expensive. First & last trip in this below average hotel. Thanks Westing Milan!

This property has so much potential for being incredible, however… it’s just really good. The bellmen were outstanding!!! Everyone of them, every time I need to leave the hotel, or arrive to the hotel! No need for Uber when a taxi is only a 2 min wait. Unfortunately, for us, it rained our whole stay so the rooftop bar wasn’t open. I really wanted to experience that. The bar downstairs, was incredibly beautiful, but unbelievably empty on a Saturday night! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why. My room was massive! My girlfriend, &. I both showered at the same time in different showers! Which is probably great, if you wait until the last min to get ready in the morning, and are running behind. lol The room also had a Suna, or steam room in it! My room seriously needed to be updated! However, my Tv was huge, & my bed was incredibly soft, & comfortable! The front desk had the kitchen prepare my girlfriend, & I 2 box breakfasts to go! We had breakfast included, but we had to be at the meeting point for our tour to Portofino at 7am the same time breakfast opens at the hotel. Had a great stay at the Westin, just wish my room was updated!

At check in they gave us the wrong room. The booking was for a room with two twin beds. Instead I got a room for one king size bed. I went down to ask to change and there was a long queue at the reception. Only one person doing check-in and at least 10 people on line. I finally get a room with two twin beds but I was downgraded. I got a standard room but paid for a superior room. At that point I was too tired to go back on complain. All this is really unacceptable for a five star hotel.

Good service and helpful staff. Very handy location only a few mins walk to metro station republica. It’s a good location if you want to go duomo and mont napoleon.

The breakfast is good. Room is comfy and the bed is very comfortable.

The downside that I would say will be the missing shower curtain. It’s irritating trying to use shower but not to wet the toilet fooor

This hotel had no running water or AC for most of our stay, after a two hour power outage. Water pumps apparently don’t work on generator power, didn’t work even hours after power was restored. Complete disaster would never stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful! The lobby is gorgeous but I don’t like the rooms. The carpet is a big turn off and the bathrooms are old. The rooms are tiny and outdated and not worth the price. Hotel is very run down. The hallways smell old and like smoke. The room was not in good shape had broken baseboards, cuts and marks on the walls and doors. We stayed in grand deluxe contemporary room and there was zero counter space in the bathroom. Shower water only got slightly warm and was not comfortable. We had a fold out couch in the room but at check in they offered to bring us a roll in bed. They dropped off the bed straight out of storage with straps still on it. We called and asked them to come make the bed and that’s when they decided to tell us that there was a $50/night fee for the bed that we didn’t even need since we paid to upgrade the room to have a sofa bed. Check in and check out is exremely slow and takes a very long time. Not sure who provides the ratings but this is definitely not a 5 star hotel.

I have stayed here several times in the past but other than the refurbished rooms (and workers in the hallways), all I can say is that the hotel is bargain for a 5 star (there is one "fake 5 star" hotel in Milan and it is positively worse) for a reason: it is not at the level of its competitors on the same square.
I had to change the room once (no desk, literally); room service did not do the room until past 4PM TWICE. Noisy middle eastern people next door who closed the door only after I threatened reception to call police; total lack of organization with valet parking (no way of asking valet to get the car in advance, theydo not answer the phone, minium wait 20 minutes and up to 40 euros per day, which is like 100 in the US considered cost of living differential). Food in the r estaurant was horrible to say the least and overpriced. Room service is good and prompt, but they take forever (sometimes 24 hours) to remove dirty dishes and trays that lay abandoned in the hallway. Very disorganized check out (with screaming obnoxious guest I had to yell at to make him stop). Not an iota of offer to make things better (except for a complimentary coffee when I had to wait over an hour in the middle of the day to have the room made-never mind that they knocked on the door at 8:15 am).
