The staff is amazing at this place! Super accommodating and helpful with advice and the hotel rooms are beautiful. However, the elevator is absolutely horrid, it smells like puke and if you look at the buttons you can clearly see yellow liquid in them. Only complaint about the room is there's no full sized mirror which is a bit of a pain but other than that it's great

Location was amazing, the room was neat and clean. The shower was a little small, but the water pressure was outstanding. The concierge, particularly the female during the day was great. 30 min walk to the Forum/Colosseum, maybe 15 mins to the Vatican. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: Excellent area in historic Rome, lots of shops & sites in close proximity. Piazza Navona was literally mins away walking distance. We booked 2 rooms, good size & bathroom was a good size too by European standards. Very comfortable and clean.
Cons: I reported a white cashmere shawl missing from our room - I used it to sleep with for added warmth. I never took it out of the room, yet one day we returned to the room & it was gone. I suspected the maid service took it with the sheets. I spoke to staff every day asking for them to check with the laundry service. No luck, not found and they didn’t seem to care about the situation. I asked for management to file a report & was told that they were out of town and handed me a business card. I emailed requesting for compensation, no response. I’ve never experienced this, a missing item from my room, in all my years of traveling. I strongly advise you don’t leave things laying around here.

So much witin walking distance restaurants, shops, piazza novona with 3 fountains within a 4 minute walk and in other direction less than10 minutes walk to castel sant angelo. Very close to alot of the main atttactions. The front staff is not enthusiastic but does their job. We arrived late from airport and no driver available to pick us up. No one helped with our luggage specially since elevator is a bit slow. The room is average size the bed was good but the pillows were flat.

Very happy with our stay here. Location was really good and walk-able to so many tourist sites. Room was OK. We had the sofa turned into a bed, which wasn't the most comfortable though! The best feature of the hotel is the rooftop area which has stunning views over the city. Breakfast there was a real treat. For the evening - make sure you book your table as it gets very busy. All the staff were nice. Overall a great choice for staying in Rome.

Staff were difficult and a bit rude when we discovered one of our rooms had the wrong beds. This was eventually resolved but took some persistent pushing to have changed (from king to 2 single beds/splitting beds apart)

A member of our group/family was also the victim of a skilful pick pocket directly outside the hotel when we were leaving so be sure to be extra careful. The most reframing part of our stay was the roof top patio for breakfast and dinner drinks. But you do not need to be a guest of the hotel to use the roof top patio.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect — right in the heart of everything, with shops, restaurants, and attractions just steps away. There’s even a pizzeria right next door!

One of the highlights was the rooftop breakfast with a beautiful view over old Rome — a perfect way to start the day. I also appreciated the little touches like complimentary water in the mini fridge and taxis always available just outside the entrance. Whether you’re here for sightseeing or shopping, this hotel is a great base. Highly recommend!

Sadly, the AC didn’t work our first night and it was one of the worst sleeps of my entire life. I had to put a cold water bottle on my chest in the middle of the night - it was over 90 degrees out. We got asked to be put in another room and upon inspecting it, the room was just as hot. We decided to stay in our room and the AC got slightly better the last two nights, but barely. This is not a comfortable hotel by any means. The room is also very dark / kind of creepy - not welcoming or enjoyable at all. If you’re okay with a steamy dark room, go ahead and book. Otherwise I’d highly reccomend booking elsewhere. I was extremely underwhelmed.

The decor is medieval themed and you feel transported back in time, like royalty in the rooms! The hotel itself has some renaissance history. Very unique stay - we enjoyed it very much.

The hotel is in a great location - central to most major sites and a short walk to tons of great restaurants and cafes. Our room was dark but comfortable and had the look of an old Roman room, which I wanted. Breakfast was decent itself but the setting for it is beautiful on the rooftop. The rooftop bar is very crowded at night, I think with lots of people not staying at the hotel. Still, I was able to get a table both times I went up there for a drink. Service was good. I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location …

Perfect location within flat walking distance of many of the main sites eg: Vatican, Pantheon,Trevi etc, even for oldies like us.
Take a hop-on hop-off bus to get your bearings and return to sites that are further afield like the Colosseum, Spanish steps etc.
Unique decor, roof terrace, literally around the corner from Piazza Navona with its many restaurants.

We were up all night from the noise. We heard clicking of dishes and people running up and down the stairs since the stair case is in the hall directly outside of our room and every noise echoed. The shower is hard to climb in and out of, it has a very old jet tub that I would never consider using. The elevator takes forever and it extremely old. Needs some updating. The location was great and the view from the roof were the only saving grace.

Charming small room with barely passable AC overlooking alley. Some people might have an issue with noise but we only awoke due to a garbage truck and if you shut the shutters you shouldn’t have any problem. Key card necessary to run AC so it’s off while you’re gone and never really catches up. I know AC isn’t everyone’s worry point but just take that for what it’s worth.

Staff was absolutely charming, friendly, welcoming, helpful, etc. We had several minor questions about various things and they were always available and quite pleasantly helpful.

This is a European hotel room in an old building so it’s not going to be like the W in Miami or the La Quinta in Dallas, but it’s a great location and well worth the price - would absolutely stay again 😍

Great hotel 2 steps off Piazza Navona. The staff went above and beyond during my stay and were very pleasant, attentive, and helpful. Very clean rooms, especially the bathroom. And a large breakfast buffet at a decent price on a beautiful rooftop. I booked 2 rooms for myself and my 2 nephews for a week. I really can't think of a negative thing to say about our stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night. The room was dark and the decor horrendous. The air con was broke and the room was roasting warm. The full room was very unclean and the shower didn’t work. There was dust everywhere a broken mirror and wallpaper ripped off. For over £100 for one nights stay we expected more. A clean room for a start and a working shower. Very disappointed and we mentioned to staff our issues when checking out but this wasn’t acknowledged and no resolution provided to put this right.

A stylishly decorated hotel in the heart of Rome. 2 minutes walk from the Piazza Navonna. Many of the sights of central Rome are a short stroll from the hotel and the local bus routes can get you everywhere else.

When I first got there, I was greeted by a young woman who was super nice. She had our room ready early and check in was great. Upon initially entering the room it's lovely. I was having trouble understanding why there was many bad reviews. I wasn't aware of the balcony and whirpool which were pluses. The problems started happening later. First, it's EXTREMELY dusty. I sat on the bed and a visible cloud of dust particles emerged. Next, I couldn't figure out to use that shower for the life of me. i spent at least 20 minutes in there as did my partner. The knobs in the bathtub are falling apart. It's clearly an old building. We attempted to check out 7 am to catch our train and nobody was there so we left our key at the frront desk and prayed for best. The pros are the area. You're walking distance from the hot spots of Rome and you're surrounded by restaurants and stores which is great.

A hidden gem in the middle of the city

Utterly amazing!
From the friendly and helpful people at the reception desk and throughout, the impressive and well-maintained rooms with granite floors and amazing walls, the marble stairwell, to the top of the building, the terrace with an amazing view of Rome, including the Panthenon and the Vatican.
I wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect location but needs some changes.

Right in the heart of the city and was able to walk everywhere. I chose this hotel specifically because of the room aesthetic. Its kinda dark and reminiscent of the renaissance and I loved that about it. The room was beautiful. But the bed was so uncomfortable I had trouble sleeping. The room was so hot and the air conditioner didn't really work well. The staff were not as attentive/ helpful as they should be. The rooftop breakfast area is amazing. The food was great with lots of wonderful baked goods. The view is the shining star of this hotel. It is so beautiful and started the day perfectly. If the rooms were more comfortable and the staff got off their phone and paid more attention to their guests this would be a perfect place to stay.

Bed was very hard, comfort in room was stuffy and the air conditioning only worked while the key card was in the room., luckily it wasn't 95 degrees like it is in the summer where the rooms would be unbearable walking in to your room from a long sight seeing trip in the hot outdoors only to be greeted by a hot hotel room
the terrace on the 10 th floor was nice-- qite dark in the mornings
very secure place very small elevators there was no place to set your things down on. The TV ws small and up practically in the ceiling

We had to ask for more toilet rolls and shampoo sachets during the week as these weren't replaced when used. Our flannel was also taken but think they must have confused it for a cleaning cloth.

Location is truly the best! I could not believe how great this spot was when we arrived. It is in the middle of all the shopping, restaurants, market, taxi stand. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if I visit Rome again. We walked to the Colosseum & the Pantheon and also Spanish Steps. The array if restaurants will blow your mind. Food prices were also very good. I recommend sharing meals since the portions are a good size. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant for breakfast which is small but very nice & convenient. Staff very nice! Rooms small as expected but very efficient. Towels changed every 2 days. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

Great location. Comfortable. Our shower had a broken drain cap and I cut my foot on a screw as it gave way. I told the desk and it was not repaired that day. We had a death in our family and had to leave 1 day early and they refused to reimburse us that nights stay.

Great location; adequate hotel. Beds were comfortable but amenities were so scarce as to be invisible. Breakfast was also skimpy.

Nice hotel near everything. The bakery next door is delicious. The rooftop terrace is great as well. The only issue we had was that it was very noisy at night. The windows didn't seem to create much of a sound barrier.
