My overall view was very good could be a solid 4* however the sewer system is a major problem here. The fact that you cannot flush paper and in some cases a large bowl movement down is unsanitary, this I anm sure cost this resort repeat business every year. The area and location are top notch. The resort is excellent overall the staff were excellent especially Juan and Leury in reception. The pools were clean the room staff were meticulous and accommodating. There rooms size was very good but the kitchen could use a more practical group of cooking utensils no need for 4 frying pans and only 1 medium sized pot no strainer knifes were not as sharpe as they could be a large salad bowl would have been nice also.

Resort needs some repairs to be 4*+ Good reception especially with Juan. Also toilets need to be more functional allowing use of toilet paper to be flushed putting it in waste basket isn’t sanitary. Mattress on pull out couch needs to be changed, also linen for the couch should be available in room. Shower isn’t functional to high and therefor sprays out of shower area. Chairs on balcony could be more comfortable.

Stayed in the section behind the main road, not the beach side because that one is reserved to hotel members.
I got invited to the presentation the second day we got there and I declined, the guy did not insist too much which was good.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
-Helpful and courteous staff, excellent service.
-Soundproof room (stayed in room 4302), contrary to what some people report, I assume they stayed in the building directly on the main street.

Cons:
-The hotel is on the main road and it is VERY BUSY, so if you're there to relax 10% of the time forget about it, you won't be able to relax at all, even when on the pool inside, or on the beach side, the sound from the exhausts of trucks, cars, and motorcycle is horrible. They have placed Speed bumps on the street to slow down traffic for security, but that causes very loud exhaust sound on deceleration and acceleration.
-NO BEACH. You will have access to the beach, everyone does, but this hotel has no beach whatsoever, no proper access to the beach, you have to go down a rocky path to get to the beach, and you need to find a solution to sit on the beach to enjoy it, they have no loungers. Forget the beach feature for this one.
-Pools surface is always dirty, I dont know how they designed these pools, they look very nice and they vacuum every morning, but surface dirt stays, no grating or skimmer filtration.

Room was okay. Right on busy road so it can be loud but didn’t bother us too much. Staff was very kind, but don’t accept their free lunch for a “tour” they sat us down to get us to sign up for their membership and we had no intention of doing such. I understand it’s their job, and it’s okay but they tricked us. Other than that, location was a good walking distance to everything. Don’t use their ATM, take a short walk to the bank to avoid unnecessary fees. They also make you keep a wristband on all week which wasn’t very enjoyable but you get used to it.

the condo was spotless, big size for 4 people. comfortable sofa , i used it for the whole 11 nights with no problem. nice balcony over looking the pools. very convenient location across from the water and just few minutes walking to numerous restaurants. we did not any transport.

The place was absolutely beautiful. Room was clean. Staff was awesome and nice. The food was just OK had the lamb kebabs they were awesome. Order the eggs Benedict look nothing like eggs Benedict so I did not eat it. Burgers and fries were good but many options for restaurants along the beach. Mojitos is really really good. Has great music great food great atmosphere but I will say make sure to bring bug repellent because I got eight up by the mosquitoes. I will definitely be back to stay here again.

I did not have a good night's rest. The mattress was hard!! That's my only complaint. Everything else was great. Great customer service, breathtaking views, and our suite faces the ocean. The hotel needs more comfortable mattresses, it felt like we were sleeping on bricks. Everyone complained. I met a lady in the pool she had the same complaint. It felt good knowing it wasn't just my family that thought the beds were hard.

The rooms facing the street are significantly sized but poorly designed. Too much wasted space. Big rooms with no real closet to hang clothes.
I changed my room because you can hear all the noise from motorcycles and cars passing through.
The floors in new room were filled with hair and smelled of cooking oil as if someone had been frying food in the suite. I called front desk which sent staff to clean the room and I also asked to change sheets as I had no guarantee they had been replaced.
Its a nice hotel but hygiene is the last thing a guest should be faced with complaining about.

Also their restaurant serves coffee from a machine. Coffee is important to people easy to make so offering coffee you can pick up from a gas station isn’t the way to go.

There’s no room service or cleaning without having to pay additional fees. There’s no mini bar in the rooms as advertised. And there’s no people there. When asking to change my room, I was told that they had to see if one was available. Later to learn that there were only a few rooms rented in the entire place for the whole weekend. Oh and there’s also no daily buffet. Not enough people for one I’m guessing. Could be nice place, but managed and obviously promoted.

Our stay overall was good, but unfortunately the elevator was not working, and we even got stuck inside. We tried using the alarm and phone, but no one came to assist, which was a very frightening experience. This really needs urgent attention for guest safety.

Aside from that, the location is great — many beachfront restaurants nearby, and the locals were wonderful. The rooms could use more regular cleaning or upkeep since no housekeeping service is provided.

With a few improvements, this could be a fantastic place to stay.

Room and grounds were nice, location worked out very well. Felt there were to many rules. Had to wear a colored bracelet. My family could not bring any guests onto property for meals at our room. Very restrictive. We were stopped from using the walk-over bridge with guests on our way to restaurant because guests did not have bracelet. Fresh towels, for room you must pay. Front desk very unresponsive, no sense of urgency. Checkout. Juan at front desk had us wait while housekeeper went through room to ensure all \"Inventory\" was there. We waited 20 minutes, and housekeeper reported a fork was missing from utensil drawer. I assured Juan that we did not take any forks, he said we should have checked every single item when we checked-in. He told me we had to pay 3 dollars for the fork, or we could not check out! I paid him the 3 dollars and at the same time the housekeeper called back she found the fork. He laughed, said \"sorry\" and gave me back the 3 dollars. Seriously, no sense of apology, nothing that indicated he even cared that he delayed us. Overall the vibe here was distrust, not allowed to have guests over and everything has a fee or charge for what is normally basic service at other hotels.

The location is great, but one of the things I really value about staying in a hotel is having fresh towels provided daily—especially after a day at the beach, which wasn’t offered here. There's also an abandoned building right next to the property that looks like it was meant to be part of the hotel but was never completed, which affects the overall feel. I stayed here mainly to run errands, so it served its purpose. However, if I were coming for a true vacation, I’d probably choose a different place.

This property is outstanding. I actually stayed at the Imperial Suites on the beach, which is across from the Presidential Suites after 1 day. I loved the Imperial Suites very much. But the Beach view of the Imperial Suites convinced me to change the next day. But the Staff and the openness to everything was outstanding. I loved everything about this hotel. The food in the restaurant was just okay. It did not have a lot of offerings for my taste. But there are restaurants up and down the beach. I cannot say enough how safe I felt here. I felt safe enough that I slept with my balcony doors open throughout the night.

Overall this a great place to stay. Clean great pools and quiet if you book away from the road. HOWEVER. The listing is misleading. Main picture shows a sea view. There is no sea view from presidential suites as it across a busy main road from the beach with huge building blocking your views. Across the road is the sister apartments lifestyle and it the pics from lifestyle that show the sea. Also. Garden view means you are in the main road and will be kept awake all night from road noise which is very loud. Choose a 1 bed or similar with pool view to be away from the road. Also. They do not service your room unless you pay. I stayed for 11 days and asked for at least clean towels which they obliged after day 6 but no clean sheets !! I was a solo traveller so no major issue for me. Kitchen is fairly well equipped. Micro. FF. Hob kettle coffee maker, toaster maker etc. you get a full list of everything upon arrival and if anything is missing they will charge you at the end. I saw an American couple who were missing 2 hand towels and they were charged $20. They said my ashtray was missing but as I don't smoke and had no use for it or even ever saw it I refused to pay. When you check out they want you to wait while they check the room. This is not a quick process and after 20 minutes I left anyway as I had a plane to catch. Just be aware of this as it could mess up your timings. Check out 11. Great pools and beds. I would stay again for l sure.

When I entered the bathroom, there was a pubic hair on the towel beside the sink. I know that sounds made up, but it is the truth. Other than that, the room seemed clean. The bed was incredibly hard and it was difficult to sleep. The room was right by the road and it was extremely loud with all the cars, motorcycles and associated honking. This also made it hard to sleep at night.

The location is exceptional as the hotel is right by the beach. Even though we were on the other side of the road, there was an elevated walkway just outside our room on the third floor. The walkway connected to the other part of the hotel so we could easily cross over and get to the beach.

If you don’t mind hard beds and possible cleanliness issues, the location can’t be beat.

Noisy street! No matter where in Dominican the street to walk down or hotel on street is noisy. I don’t know why everyone has to rev their engines but they do. Could possibly come up with some organic or man made sound barriers to help.
Prices in restaurants a bit higher. Overall, nice place, clean, lots of pool spaces and close to beach with a convenient overpass to cross the crazy streets!

this is a beautiful property with great pools and a fabulous ocean front. i would have rated it as a 4, but my shower did not heat up beyond tepid for the last 4 nights.
for anyone going, this is a great place, but it is not a hotel, it is a timeshare.
if you want your room cleaned, or new towels it costs $20.00. the food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and tasty, and there are 30 oceanside restaurants within walking distance to meet anyones needs.
you can stay here for a week, and never leave the beach. the rooms all have wifi and the junior suite that i had was very nice and large. it was supposed to have a garden view, but the balcony actually overlooked the street. if you are from New York, you will be comforted by the noise, but walking up at 4:00 a.m. and hearing a motorcycle going by honking its horn, takes getting used to.
i would say that this is a great place to stay, but temper your expectations

I was not told there would not be any housekeeping services for the room I reserved in advance or upon arrival.

I asked for towels and was warned a charge if more than 1 change of towels in 4 days!!

I arrived to a mop, broom and bucket in the room but no note or cleanser that this was job to clean my room. We thought it was left by a made at first lol.

This property is a membership resort. They tried numerous times to convince me to purchase a membership. I would consider, however they were extremely pushy, they wouldn't wash towels, we had to go purchase additional toilet paper, and when we left, they tried keeping us there so they can do an \"inspection\" of the room.

Overall it was an ok experience(only because the doormen and cleaners were so nice), but they really need to work on the check-in/check-out process.

I likely won't return to this location.
